APPEARANCE
At a little over six feet, surprisingly enough the first thing people tend to notice about Ivon isn't his height -- it's the air of menace he carries with him everywhere he goes, a look that says he is evaluating observers based on their relatively likelihood to provide him with a good fight before he takes them down. He is physically intimidating, with broad shoulders and a musculature that is decidedly not just for show, but it is his attitude that accounts for most unnease in those who are introduced to him. His coloration is often considered a safer subject of conversation, as it is somewhat unusual: his hair has gone completely white early in life, his eyes are a black nearly indistinguishable from his pupils, and his skin is very pale. His wardrobe tends towards very plain, utilitarian garments selected more for their sturdiness than visual appeal. He dresses very warmly year-round, often in multiple layers.

PERSONALITY
Ivon is extremely taciturn; he speaks rarely and limits himself to a few words at a time. In general he is a very serious and very somber fellow, not given to laughter or whimsy, in most instances dedicating himself to the job at hand. The only time he suffers from rashness is when there is a physical fight at hand --he enjoys the exercise -- or when he is pursuing some form of revenge. These occasional lapses are the best (and often only) signs that Ivon is not entirely emotionless, merely very well controlled; he is accustomed to entirely supressing his passions in all instances. He does not tend to 'get' most humor, and often does not 'get' normal social interactions, either, though some of this may be due to his origin in another, very different culture. It is worth noting that he is surprisingly superstitious and scrupulous about following dozens of tiny rituals relating to his childhood beliefs, although it is not clear how this superstition is paired with his criminal career.

SKILLS
Most of Ivon's talents are in extra-legal areas: he is an excellent fighter and especially adept at efficiently incapacitating his opponents. Although his size and strength mean that he could likely win out with his endurance alone, he rarely resorts to merely outlasting his opponents. He is profficient with knives, swords, and many improvised weapons. Surprisingly enough, his other talents are much more peaceful -- Ivon is fluent in multiple languages and tolerable in several more. However, he can only read and write in his native language, and does that poorly.

HISTORY
Although many of Ivon's particular traits -- his talents with weaponry, his patience, and his serene silence -- would make him an excellent personal bodyguard, in truth the definition of unlettered hired killer suits him much better. Born in the frosty snows of a mountainous country known for its harsh weather and harsher rule, Ivon's long-ago youth is a matter of debate. While his appearance often leads those who know him to create fanciful theories -- that his hair is white due to a demon's influence, that his eyes are dark because he sold his soul, that his skin is pale because he was raised in a place the sun never touched -- the truth is probably simpler than that.

There are wild rumors that Ivon may have been born to a higher state in life than he currently occupies, though most attribute his frosty manners to his land of origin or his supposedly frozen heart. Currently Ivon works as hired help for the darker elements of Sunderland, seeming to enjoy the frequent opportunities to put his talent for violence to good use.

Often Found
On especially cold or rainy nights, Ivon finds a warm pub and does not leave until he's kicked out. He hates being cold, and likes being wet about the same. During the shady working hours in the late evening, he can be found in the worst parts of town, either employed as or seeking opportunities to work as hired muscle.

Opportunities
Of late, Ivon has found an opportunity to exploit the recent rumors of wolves in the far forests, and has undertaken to become a seller of an exclusive, almost fantastical item. However, some care is necessary to provide it to the proper market, and to that end there are several important things that he needs .. he may visit any number of small shops, stopping for meals in lesser cookshops. Once he is ready he will start knocking on the servants entrances of great homes, dressed in a fine suit and with a marvelous box tucked under one arm.
