Ever get tired of all the minor announcements getting their own threads, and hiding the major ones? No? Too bad. Anyways, this thread will be for all the little things that don't quite deserve their own thread, certainly don't deserve a guildwide announcement, yet are still important enough to mention. So, keep an eye on this thread, since it could pop out with something important to you. Things like demon openings and jutsu edits will be mentioned here, as will minor changes to more major systems . You don't want to be left out of the loop, so this is where you want to look.

The functions of the old "Coming Soon" thread will also be merged with this, so watch here for upcoming new features and events as well!

-Profiles: After chatting with Greg for awhile, we have decided to allow a tad bit more leeway on your newly created profiles. No, this does not mean you can start with summons or change a bunch of stuff around. This is in the jutsu area. Instead of having to start with the simple combo of Henge and Bunshin, you may choose your own starter jutsu. These jutsu must be from E rank and Universal, and you may still only start with the two. Sorry, old profiles don't get this bonus, since it'd be rather strange to go back and change such a minor detail, wouldn't it?

-Jutsu Updates: Most of you are probably aware that we have been working on some updates to the main jutsu lists. These have been going rather slow for various reasons, but some are ready to be released.

Sand Jutsu E - A are done. S will come when I feel like dealing with those. (The S ranks are pretty bad.) Yes, I started with the jutsu most relevant to myself. You would too.

All E rank elemental clones have been replaced with C rank versions. The reason for this is simple. Clones in the series have always been shown to be expensive to create, to the point where someone actually knowing a solid clone jutsu was surprising. Having genin able to make them with a single chakra point then looks rather strange. To compensate for the increase in rank however, they have been given some interesting new abilities. I think you'll all like them.

Some names were changed also.

Yojin Bunshin (Ember Clone) is now Nenshou Bunshin [Burning Clone].
Kaze Bunshin (Wind Clone) is now Soyokaze Bunshin [Zephyr Clone].

As I am not cruel, anyone who previously learned the E and D rank versions automatically knows the C ranks. Please update your profiles to match the proper ranking. As of this time, any E and D ranked solid clones that have NOT yet been updated, such as bloodline elemental clones, are also considered C rank.

Shunshin has been removed from all elemental lists and had it's universal version updated to compensate for any issues that may arise. Anyone who previously learned an elemental shunshin automatically knows the universal version.

-Technology: Slightly embarrassing here. Turns out I forgot to post the technology list after the update before I removed the announcement. This has been remedied. Not all of it is really that important, but there is important information in there on such things as chakra pills and explosive tags, so please do reference it before using some of the more complex technologies available to purchase.

-Demon Update!: Houkou is complete and released. Personal techniques will come sometime after I get back from hiatus and have time to work on them.

-LT Season: It's LT hunting season! First person to kill LT gets his Sharingans! (Don't worry, it was his idea! (It totally wasn't.))

-Konoha Event: Night begins to fall on Konoha, and with it comes the screams of the gate guards echoing across the village as something, unknown, enters Konohagakure.

-Currency Update: After some thought, the following alteration has been made to the currency system, making taijutsu and weapon styles priced according to the techniques in the style, rather than one set price.

Taijutsu / Weapon Styles: The price of a style is determined by the number of techniques of each rank, paid as if buying each technique individually. Both custom and guildwide styles are priced the same.

If you buy a style, it's yours, and nobody else can learn it. Obviously does not apply to styles with practitioners or village styles. Styles can be purchased from Style Master NPCs. Alert the crew that you want to buy a style, and the NPC will be created, but you'll have to go to them.

-Profession Updates: We are currently working on updating almost all of the current professions. Some may be drastically altered while others remain as they are. When these updates are released, all RPCs will be allowed a one time profession change if you feel the new version doesn't fit anymore. This includes simply changing your benefits, since many of those are the main focus of the alterations.

While this update is underway, any submissions to the custom professions thread will be considered, not as new professions, but as additions to current professions. As always, feel free to submit any ideas for possible bonuses you may have. While we likely won't respond to the posts, we do see everything.

-Costume Contest: Much as I personally loath the holiday (Being born on a holiday is the worst thing you can ever do to a child. Just, don't do it.), Halloween is coming up, and along with it the crew has decided to sponsor a costume contest. Details can be found in the latest guildwide announcement, and considering the dates, an official thread should be up soon.

-Ranking Update: The ranking system has been updated for better ease in ranking up. No longer do you need to learn massive amounts of jutsu, and even the time restrictions have been removed. Do enough missions for your village, prove yourself worthy, and your kage will surely promote you.

-Learning System: We're still looking for any input on the proposed learning system. Drop by and let us know what you think.

-Revamp Check In: While it's not critical, I ask that if you have time you sign in here. That thread is to help the crew decide what to look at next in regard to edits, and posting there will get your stuff done faster than the rest.

-New Missions: I will be posting a thread in Debate later today for discussion and suggestions for new mission ideas. If you have fun ideas for new missions, or are just bored, feel free to drop in and help us expand the list. The more variety, the more choice you'll have later when you need to up your MP count.

First things first, Crew Applications. Now, it is very unusual for us to do this, but we are in need of a few extra hands from you guys. So, every member is allowed to apply for a crew position. That's right, EVERY. Forget previous run-ins you've had with us, age, gender, religion, etc. We wanna hear from YOU! So don't wait, apply today!

So it turns out you don't actually need control of an element to pretend you have control of an element. Go figure. The whole idea of Genjutsu is deceiving/fooling/confusing others, but in the end its just sensory input. Genjutsu are henceforth no longer limited by elemental affinity.

As always, In the event that you learned a jutsu which has been removed or made unavailable you may replace it with another jutsu of equal or lesser rank within the same type (in this case genjutsu). Obviously you are also expected to remove it from your learned list as well.

Gregar didn't feel like posting a second time, but he did want me to make sure to tell you guys again that he's awesome. What can I say, the guy's really adamant about it!

Finally, I'd like to remind everyone to please visit two specific threads in the guild. Posting in both of them is mandatory, so please do your best to reply in a timely manner. I'd hate for someone to lose something because of lack of effort.

The first of the two is the Vault Cleanup. If you're working on something in your own vault, or use one just to keep customs, I'm sure you've noticed to dozens of vaults that exist. We know we have. So, we're cleaning it up to make it look nice. If you would like your vault to remain where it is, please post in that thread and follow the instructions.

The Second and more serious of the duo, is the Guildwide Check-In. With all the construction going on around here, we wanted to get a head count of who was around, and where. It helps us see village counts, and it helps you see who's around you to roleplay with. With that in mind, follow the link and as always read the instructions on the first post. Be aware that there is a two week time crunch on this, so make sure you sign it. Having to recreate an already existing RPC is annoying.

-Demon Update!: Houkou is now open for applications! This demon is available to any genin or new RPC (Also genin), of any village! If you feel your skills are up to par, go for it. It's one of the best we have to offer.

Sanbi is also still open, but only to Kiri. Existing or new genin, feel free to apply!

Those with bloodlines need not apply. Demons cannot be held by bloodline users.

Please be aware that as these demons are incredibly awesome and powerful, we're only going to accept the best applications we receive for them. Furthermore, if after attaining a demon you fail to uphold a worthy level of skill, or fail to remain active, the demon can and will be taken from you to pass on to someone more fitting for the role. So, do your best in your application, and your posts thereafter!

-Rulebook Updated!: After years of stalling, we have finally gotten around to updating the PotS General rulebook! No longer is it incorrect and contradictory. We've removed some rules we didn't like much, condensed others to save space, and added a few as well, so I highly recommend everyone give it a look see.

Along with it, the Beginner's index is also in working condition again, for those creating a character for the first time. And, as an extra treat, the new Profile Guide is also up, to walk through the profile creation process!

And, just a reminder, Sanbi and Houkou are still open for applications, for new or old genin. Sanbi has to go to Kiri, but Houkou can go anywhere you please.

-Profiles Opened!: The profile subforum is now unlocked. There's only one thread there, that being the profile approval thread. A new format is available in that thread, and I ask everyone to start work on their profiles! We'll be opening the RP soon, so it's time to get things ready!

-Academy Rank Restored: With the new guild design, we've decided to bring back the academy rank as a mandatory beginning. if you haven't been authorized for an autorank, you'll be starting as an academy student. Not to worry though, we have plans for the academy such that you should never feel bored or restricted. In the past the rank was almost useless because it was never used for anything. From now on, it is truly a rank of learning. Genin transfers are encouraged to be in the academy, however not required.

-Transfer Bonus: For those who have proven their loyalty by sticking with us to the end of the old PotS, we are offering a transfer bonus. Any character that was active at the end, or in the last few months leading up to it, is allowed to transfer over. If you were approved for a bloodline or clan you are allowed to make a new member without approval, though if you wish to use a different bloodline you must apply for it. Your character can be autoranked to match your original characters rank, or any rank below. However noone is able to start beyond Special Jounin.
You may convert their MP (Using the new MP rates) into currency to supplement their starting cash (including the normal autorank pay). Even if you are Choosing a lesser rank. If you are unsure of whether you qualify as a transfer or not, ask Hinote, Hikaro, or Luo.

Because the numbers are not yet public, the bonus cash gained by autoranks is as follows. For transfers, this is in addition to your transfer. Everyone also receives a 60 Silver starting bonus, including autoranks. That is not counted in these numbers.

Chuunin: 1 Gold, 80 Silver
Special Jounin: 3 Gold, 60 Silver

-Demons Closed: Because of how we're starting out, no demons will be given out right away. You may still apply, but know that any sealing will happen at crew discretion as far as when and how it occurs.

-Beginner's Index Updated: The beginner's index has recently had a much needed facelift, and is now as accurate as it can be to the state of the guild.

-Front Page: The more astute of you may have noticed that our front page has been updated. Mostly. We'd like to complete that update with a brand new picture, and we'd like that picture to be made by one of you, our members. Hand drawn or simply edited images, we want to take some submissions for possible new front page images. If we like your image, you'll get a nice gift in return, and your image added to the front page. Please PM all entries to myself, and/or post them in the chatroom.

Like making art but aren't confident enough to go for the front page? We're always happy to see new advertisement banners for the guild. If you've made some of them, or would like to, go ahead and make a thread in Creative Works. Sadly no prize for banner art.

-Taijutsu/Bukijutsu Update!: Ever looked at our universal taijutsu, and just cringed? So did we. So we got rid of it. Then we replaced it with something better. The new list contains both taijutsu and Bukijutsu, or weapon jutsu. Sadly, it's a very short list still. Got ideas? Customs are open!

-Economy List Updated: Some minor updates and additions to the item list in the Economy thread. No price changes, so no worries, but you might like to check out some of the new stuff.

-The Bank!: The most important part of this announcement. I need everyone who has an approved and posted profile to go to The Bank and, following the instructions in the thread, post their starting purchases. It should have been done a long time ago but seems to have been forgotten.
