① First and Foremost, we in PotS follow the Gaia Rules and Terms of Service. If you are not familiar with these rules, please read them Here.
② No advertising of other guilds without the Captain's permission. We don't mind if you advertise, and will even help you out in doing so if you do so properly. However we do like to know beforehand, so that we can make the best of it, and even get some advertising in your guild too. This doesn't mean you can't talk about your guild or even invite people, we just don't want advertisement threads popping up all over the place. We also like to be sure we're not advertising for a guild that is breaking the ToS, as that could reflect back on us.
③ Be Civil. This cannot be stressed enough. This is a place we come to relax and have fun. Getting into fights and arguments ruins that for everyone. Discussions and debates are great, and encouraged, but if things get out of hand we will be stepping in. Insults, slander, excessive foul language, and anything else in that line can be seen as violations of this rule.
④ Be Patient. We all know how frustrating it can be to wait for a reply, be it to a posted application or another character in the RP. However, we all have lives outside of the guild, and sometimes that takes precedence. If, however, you are stuck waiting on another player for more than a few days, you may feel free to skip them in the posting order of whatever is going on, or move on without them to do other things. If you find yourself waiting on a crew operated NPC, contact the crew and we will get you a new NPC Operator. If for some reason you cannot simply leave an inactive party behind, contact crew to resolve the situation.
⑤ If you are going to be away for an extended length of time, such as several days, or even weeks, sign the Hiatus Log. This serves to both alert others who might be waiting on you that you're going to be away, and protect you from the potential consequences of inactivity.
⑥ No Douchebaggery! Quite simply put, don't be a jerk. Just because you can do something, does not mean you should. A Jounin murdering Genin, or just a guy being a jerk in the chatroom both fall under this banner. If you wouldn't want someone to do the same thing to you, don't do it.

① Follow the rules of your Village. All of the villages have unique customs and rules, which can be found in that village's subforum. Not following the village rules can get you in trouble within the RP.
② Godmodding will not be tolerated. Godmodding, and all it's myriad forms are a detriment to the RP. If you are caught godmodding, Meta-gaming, autohitting, autododging, or any other such act, you will be punished accordingly.
③ When leaving a thread, make sure to state that you are leaving, and where you are going. This is so that others in the thread know you are gone, and can follow you if they wish. The statement should be in the form of a tag, such as [Exit to Library] on the end of the post, clearly placed so that it is easily seen.
④ When entering a village you are required to go through the gates. Furthermore, you must check the first post of the gate thread. Said post will include the proper procedure for gaining access. Fill out any forms required, and quote the village kage in your post. You can also attempt to sneak or fight your way through the gate, bypassing the normal requirements. However, you must still quote the kage, who will then decide whether your attempt to sneak through was successful, or take control of the guards to fight back if you chose to attack. Both cases will most likely mark you as an enemy of the village if caught. (Or fought.)
⑤ Traveling between villages is a long and arduous process, as the villages are many miles apart. To reflect this, passing through threads outside of a village requires three posts. One to enter, one doing something in the thread, be it walking along a road, or picking flowers on a hillside, and one to exit. Traveling between countries is only possible in certain threads. These threads are announcements within the country, and state in the title what country they link to. In most cases a thread of the same name will be in the linked country, which is the thread you will travel to. If the threads are not named alike, then the thread will state in the first post what threads it links to. It is only possible to pass through one country linking thread in a single real life day. Take the extra time to do some exploring, camping, or even training.
⑥ Please use a posting format. It is considered common courtesy when Rping with others in this guild, to use a posting format. Said formats usually contain the RPC's name, a picture of them, and any relevant information, such as current chakra supply. This is both for the convenience of other Rper's, and for the crew if we need to judge a battle. If you don't know how to make a format for yourself, you should feel free to ask anyone you see using one for tips. They might even help you with your own, or make one for you.

① All characters currently begin as Academy Students.
② Characters are allowed to be members of one clan, or one bloodline. They may never possess both.
③ Combat Pets are limited to pet oriented clans. You can still have a cat, dog, parakeet, turtle, dwarf, or any other pet type animal if you want, but they can not have any combat purpose, nor can they assist you in battle in any way. You cannot even use your pet cat as a flail.
④ Every character is allowed up to three personal “Family” NPCs if the Rper wishes. These NPCs can do anything you like within your home village, but they cannot train, take missions, or unfairly benefit the RPC in any way. They are mainly to improve backstory, but can also be used as a spare character to mess with during downtime. Send your mother out to do your shopping, you know you want to!
⑤ All characters are allowed to learn two Taijutsu or Bukijutsu styles. The first may be learned at Academy Student rank, while the second can only be learned at Genin or higher.
⑥ Every character is allowed to sign the contract of one summon. After signing said contract, they cannot change summons to a new contract. To sign the contract, the RPC must either locate the current holder of the contract and convince them to allow them to sign it, or complete the summoning land trials, by locating the summoning lands linking thread for that summon. Only characters with High chakra can sign a contract at Genin rank. For everyone else, they must be Chuunin rank to sign a contract.
⑦ All characters have their own rights and privileges according to their rank. Following are the basic rights, but if your village has different ones listed, those are the ones you have to follow. All ranks have all the rights of the ranks below them.
❶ Academy Students Academy students may take E ranked missions.
❷ Genin Genin may take up to C rank missions, and access the village library.
❸ Chuunin Chuunin may take up to B rank missions, and are allowed to leave the village on missions without an escort. Chuunin also attain a second element.
❹ Special Jounin Special Jounin may take up to A rank missions.
❺ Jounin Jounin may take any mission available. Jounin also gain a third element, which can only be mastered up to A rank.
❻ S Rank S Ranks may come and go from their village at will, with or without a mission, so long as their kage has not ordered them to remain in the village.
⑧ Members who have proven themselves active by having an active character for over four months are allowed to create a second RPC. This RPC may not have any relation to the first, may not be in the same village, nor have the same bloodline. If your first RPC has a demon, your second may not. If your first has an autorank, your second may not. Your two RPCs are not allowed to unfairly benefit one another, whether this be through direct contact, or an intermediary. Anyone caught using their second RPC to augment their first in any way is at serious risk of losing their second RPC, and their right to create another.
⑨ At times, when NPCs are being used, the crew will mandate they use abilities not normally permitted for RPCs, in the interest of Arc Development. As such, abilities used by NPC characters cannot be used as justification for custom weapons, poisons, talents, summons, etc.

PotS utilizes a three strike system of dealing with intentional rule breakage. We are lax on some things, such as unintentional minor infractions, but if it seems you are going out of your way to cause trouble and break rules, we will begin counting. By PotS tradition, these strikes are referred to as Ougouns, for our personal “God of War and Death”, Ougoun.
To reward improved behavior, Ougouns up to the second strike can be removed from your account after a period of four months per Ougoun, if your behavior has improved to where you have not received a single warning from crew in that period. The only way to return from Strike Three however, is to PM the guild captain after a period of four months, requesting permission to return. Your request will then be discussed among crew. If you are allowed to return, you return with two active strikes against you.
You did something wrong. Not something simple that could be let go, but something that broke our rules. We probably told you to stop and you kept right on doing it. For this, you have been awarded your first Ougoun. This means we will be watching you for the rest of your natural life (And slightly beyond, just to be sure.) to make sure you don't do it again. Actual punishments on this level depend entirely on what earned you the Ougoun.
Despite having received multiple warnings, and your first Ougoun, you have broken even more rules, and quite simply proved to be a hassle for the crew to deal with. Because a warning obviously was not sufficient, we are going to have to take away your toys. You are no longer allowed to apply for customs, nor are you allowed a second RPC if you do not have one already. If you do not have a bloodline, clan, or demon, you can not apply for one either. If whatever you did to deserve this directly relates to breaking rules of, or abuse of your current bloodline, clan, or demon, it will be removed from you.
You have proven to be a consistent trouble maker, broken several rules, and consistently ignored all warnings and attempts by crew to curb your behavior. And quite frankly, we don't have the time to deal with it anymore. Because of your disregard for our rules and refusal to abide by them, you are now banned from this guild. We recommend that you vastly improve your behavior if you ever wish to return.
