Likes: cooking, finding new ingredients, really fancy bottles, learning more about witch life

Dislikes: burnt cookies, cruel people, bad smells, anyone who wastes good food

Hobbies:

Cooking: Sin still has a passion for cooking given to her by her family. She can usually be found making a new batch of cookies or trying a new recipe one of her sisters has sent to her. She also enjoys shopping for the ingredients or just finding an ingredient she has never used before! Never hurts to try something new!

Bottle Collecting: Sin doesn't always use the bottles she finds for her potions. She loves their fragile yet strong appearance. So she's started collecting strage and beautifuly shaped bottles, no matter what is stored inside them. Colored bottles are her favorite because she can put them in a window and shine colors all over her room!

Personality

Curious: Sin has a healthy amount of curiousity which can get her into trouble if she's not careful. While she is not nosey into people's business she is facinated by tunnels, cabinets, boxes; basically if it closes she wonders what's inside of it. She is respectful of others properly and will not poke around into something that does not belong to her and has an obvious owner. But it will be quite obvious she wants to know what is inside.

Creative: Nothing has to be routine forever! Sin loves trying new things, especially in her cooking! She's also good at looking at all the possibilities as she can come up with them! Even if others don't think it's really possible!

Captain Obvious: Yeah Sin isn't exactly smooth with her words. Being raised in such a quite and low key area she hasn't quite adapted to big city life. She also isn't use to so many other magic users so she tends to point out what most people would already know. She gets quickly embarressed when she finds herself doing that but she just can't help it.

Intelligent: Sin is one smart cookie! She has a fantastic memory for herbs, spices, and any other classification of ingridents. She has an edetic memory for recipes or incantations, as it's just a magic recipe to her. While she may not be able to create the effects of a spell she will know the hows and whys of it to help those who can.

Fidgity: Yeah living in a house of seven doesn't leave you a lot of time for serenity. Sin is always doing something! She does not like to sit still! Her tail has helped with it as she can swish that around a lot but she wants to be up and moving.

Magical Concentration/Theme: Sin is going to be a very good potion maker. Using magical based ingredients she's found ways of making portable spells! These can range from a typical sleeping potion to a burning fire potion! She also can't help but scent them so they can be told apart from each other.

Tea Ingredients

Wolfsbane (hope to get) - Often used in potions and herbology. It has a sense of the wild (rare)

Glowing Cinders - Persevering before they diminish, they prove to be beautiful and hypnotic(common)
Ink Vial - It seems like something a scholar would have in their room at all times (common)
Cauldron Rust - Scraped from the bottom of a heavily-used cauldron (common)
Dark Chocolate - Fancy and refined chocolates for the more adult taste (common)
Tablet Fragments - It gives a scholarly appeal (common)

History


Scentana was born to a non-magical family that loved to cook in Clarus Arbor. All their ingredients were freshly grown in their garden or collected in the near by woods. They also traded for only the freshest meats and other ingredients they couldn't get on their own. Every day some new creation was coming out of her mother's oven or her dad was whipping up a new dish on the stove.

She has four sisters named Cresant, Riviera, Coaleta, and Winterla all with excellent cooking talents. Scentana could cook she prefered to make drinks or seasonings. She always commented about how something smelled and how it would affect the taste of the food. Her father doted on her, thinking her a bright child despite her rather oblivious nature.

But something was different with Scentana, she just didn't know it yet. But she discovered it quickly the first time she transformed. One day her sisters decided to play a trick on her. They took her into the woods, saying they were looking for some berries for a pie, then pretended to leave her there.

Scentana was so scared, she felt like she was shrinking. The world seemed to get so big! But her sense of smell certainly worked! She felt so strange but followed the smell of her eldest sister's soap. She only used pink rose soap. When she finally found them she tried to yell at them but only squeeks and growls came out. Her sister's screamed but stood stock still.

Finally her Cresantana slowly spoke, "hey little skunk. Just...just take it easy ok?"

Skunk? Scentana looked around but didn't see a skunk. She sighed, normally she was the one pointing out obivious. She scratched her head in confusion. That's when she realised her hand was a paw. She looked at herself in horror! She had changed! She got so upset she suddenly poofed back into herself. Her sisters looked on in surprised before Riviera spoke.

"Scentana! You....you can transform?!"

"Um....I guess. I didn't mean to!" the smaller one cried.

Her older sister just smiled and patted her head, walking them all back to the house. She explained what happened to their father who told the teary Scentana that she was a special kind of witch, a mononoke. They were born with the ability to change their shape into an animal. And as she was so obsessed with scents, then why not be a skunk. While there had been no magic in the last two generations, it was revealed her great-grandmother had been a powerful enchantress. Her parents were actually proud, happy to have produced the next witch in the family.

The family had a meeting and decided it would be best of Scentana attended the training school once she became of age. They were unsure of what other powers she may have and wanted the best for her. But it was a scary option. She wasn't use to a big city and wondered if she'd ever find friends. Her parents did their best to calm her fears and her sisters promised to come visit her as often as they could. They even promised to send her fresh baked goods. With their confidnace Scentana left her home and went to fullfill her destiny as a witch.

○○○○○Abjuration: gaia_star

This school is focused on protective spells, as well as spells which cancel or interfere with other spells, magical effects or supernatural abilities, such as Break Enchantment, Dimensional Anchor, Dispel Magic or Remove Curse. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Abjurers.

○○○○○Conjuration: gaia_star

This school, known as Conjuration in 3rd and 3.5 editions and Conjuration / Summoning in earlier editions, is focused on instantaneous transportation, conjuring manifestations of creatures, energy or objects and object creation. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, healing spells are also part of the conjuration school, however of the three core arcane classes, these spells are generally restricted to bards. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, Conjuration is divided into five subschools: calling (spells which physically transporting extraplanar creatures to the caster, as well as granting them the ability to return to where they were called from), creation, healing, summoning (teleporting objects to the caster's location and / or causing creatures to physically manifest at the caster's location) and teleportation (instantly transporting creatures and / or objects). Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Conjurers.

○○○○○Divination: gaia_star

This school is focused on acquiring information. In 2nd edition, Divination was divided into two schools: Lesser Divination (all Divination spells up to 4th level) and Greater Divination (all Divination spells of 5th level or higher) in order to prevent specialist wizards from losing access to certain utility spells such as Detect Magic, Identify and Read Magic, serving a similar purpose to 3rd edition's Universal Magic. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, Divination has one subschool: scrying, spells within the scrying subschool create invisible magical sensors which provide the caster with information, these sensors can be detected and dispelled. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Diviners.

○○○○○Enchantment gaia_star gaia_star

This school, known as Enchantment / Charm prior to 3rd edition and Enchantment in 3rd and 3.5 editions, changed dramatically in 3rd edition, when all non-mind-affecting spells were removed from the school and many were moved to Transmutation. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, all Enchantment spells are mind-affecting and Enchantment is divided into two subschools: compulsion and charm. Charm spells, such as Charm Person or Symbol of Persuasion, affect the targets' attitudes, usually making them act more favorably toward the caster. Compulsion spells such as Confusion, Dominate Monster, Feeblemind, Sleep, Suggestion or Zone of Truth, can force the targets' to act in a certain way or avoid certain actions, affect the targets' emotions or affect the targets' minds in other ways. The Compulsion subschool also includes buffs, such as Aid and Heroism. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Enchanters.

○○○○○Evocation: gaia_star gaia_star

This school is called Invocation / Evocation prior to 3rd edition, and Evocation in 3rd and 3.5 editions. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, Evocation is focused on damaging energy-based spells such as Fireball, Lightning Bolt and Cone of Cold. It also includes conjurations of magical energy, such as Wall of Force, Darkness, Light, Leomund's Tiny Hut and the Bigby's Hand spells. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Evokers.

○○○○○Herbology: gaia_star gaia_star gaia_star

Herbalism is a traditional medicinal or folk medicine practice based on the use of plants and plant extracts. Herbalism is also known as botanical medicine, medical herbalism, herbal medicine, herbology, and phytotherapy. The scope of herbal medicine is sometimes extended to include fungal and bee products, as well as minerals, shells and certain animal parts. Pharmacognosy is the study of medicines derived from natural sources.

○○○○○Illusion: gaia_star

This school is known as Illusion / Phantasm prior to 3rd edition and Illusion in 3rd and 3.5 editions. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, it is divided into five subschools: figment, glamer, pattern, phantasm and shadow. Figment spells create artificial sensations with no physical substance. Glamer spells alter the target's sensory properties, and can cause invisibility. Pattern spells create insubstantial images which affect the minds of the viewers, pattern spells can inflict harm. Phantasm spells create hallucinations which can be harmful. Shadow spells use magical shadows to create things with physical substance. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Illusionists.

○○○○○Necromancy: gaia_star

Necromancy spells involve death, undeath and the manipulation of life energy. Prior to 3rd edition, healing spells are in the Necromancy school, however these spells are generally restricted to clerics and / or druids. Necromancy can usually be divided into three or four categories: spells that help or create the Undead, like Animate Dead; spells that hurt the Undead, like Disrupt Undead; spells that hurt other people, like Enervation or Vampiric Touch; and spells that manipulate life in order to heal, such as Regenerate or Cure Serious Wounds, which were shifted to the Conjuration school in 3rd edition. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Necromancers.

○○○○○Transmutation: gaia_star

This school is known as Alteration / Transmutation prior to 3rd edition, and as Transmutation in 3rd and 3.5 editions. Spells in this school alter the properties of their targets. Examples include Bull's Strength, Fabricate, Polymorph, Plant Growth, Move Earth, Water Breathing. In 3rd edition, many non-mind-affecting spells from 2nd edition's Enchantment / Charm school were moved to the Transmutation school. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Transmuters.

List of Potions


Here is were I will keep a running list of the different type of potions Scentana has created and will carry at various times. She will always carry seven potions of varying effects and one antidote potion. These will not be very strong at first in her witchling stage, some she won't even be able to make yet. But the more powerful she gets the greater an effect the potions make.

She carries a rainbow of color, never more than one of any color.

Current Magic Level: Witchiling


Red
Rash Potion (aloe scent): Causes a minor rash.
Anger Potion (cinnamon scent): Causes minor irritation to uncontrolable rage depending on the concentration. Useful when wanting enemies to fight with each other
Love Potion (rose scent): Causes someone to fall in love with the first person they see.


Blue
Calm Potion (ocean scent): Relaxes a person's body.
Sad Potion (dead rose scent): Causes minor sadness to deep depression depending on concentration.
Parylizing Potion (poppy scent): Causes complete paralysis of a person's body.


Green
Acid Potion (chlorine scent): An acid that can eat through small things
Sick Potion (garlic scent): Causes a feeling of nausea and general sickness. Trips to the bathroom are frequent.
Jealousy Potion (marigold scent): Causes jealousy or greed in one target


Orange
Fire Potion (gasoline scent): Can cause target to feel like their insides are on fire. Can also be carefully inhaled to breath fire at target. This is her primary offensie weapon
Trailing Potion (fresh soil scent): Can be dripped onto something you wish to track and Scentana can follow it. Length of time able to track depends on how much of the potion was used.
Oven Potion (cookie scent): Makes a person physically overheat and feel like they are inside an oven.


Yellow
Stink Potion (sulfer scent): It's a stink bomb, plain and simple.
Light Potion (sunflower scent): This potion can make any one object glow for a certain amount of time.
Clean Potion (lemon scent): This potion can clean objects to their original form.


Purple
Sleep Potion (lavender scent): Causes a dreamless sleep or vivid dreams
Dizzy Potion (mushroom scent): Causes the person to become dizzy and disoriented
Death Potion (violet scent): This puts someone into a comalike state that resembles death.


Black
Smoke Potion (burnt wood scent): Creates a cloud of smoke that chokes and is hard to see through
Oil Potion (licorice scent): Caused whatever it coats to be extremely slippery
Tar Potion (rubber scent): Is extremely sticky and hard to remove.

White
The white potion is always a healing/antidote potion. It helps reverse any adverse effects from Scentana's potions.

Plot Ideas


Sin needs plots!!! Here's some ideas! If you have any thoughts or wish to be a part of one just PM me!

Best Friend: Sin needs someone she can completely confide in and that will always be there for her. Someone who could put up with her constant experimenting.

Knight In Shining Armor: I'd love for Sin to have something of a damsel's crush on a stronger witch. She's not much of a physical fighter so she is rather "trip and fall while running from danger". They don't have to reciprocate her simple affections but she will provide them with potions for whatever their need.

Friendzone: lol cause it's fun! I'd like a guy for Sin to be friends with that she would never date but ask him about guy things that she doesn't understand. The male in question can have a crush on her or simply enjoy her company.
