This metachapter is only for people who signed up for the [A] version, so only kidnappers, kidnappees, and others at Poena Privus.
If you're a kidnapper..... The Master of Poena Privus revealed herself , gathering to her side her precious reapers, and her precious blackhearts. Something terrible will happen to the youth of the hallow, she told them. Something vile and wretched infects them from the Majin, threatening to warp. We must save them, and to do so, we need them here.
With words like sweet honey, and the promise of stronger power to her precious 'children', she chose several from her brood, and sent them to forcibly collect any witchlings or witches they could find around Moonfall. This, she told them, was for the greater good. They will struggle, they will fight for their freedom, but in order to save them, we must bring them here.
If you're a kidnapped victim... You woke up in the back of a windowless carriage, hands and feet bound, anti-magic seals plastered everywhere inside to prevent the use of any magic from its captives. Your memories are fuzzy at best, you don't remember much about how you ended up here. There are others around your age, except for a few blackhearts and reapers who sit among you, making sure you don't cause any trouble, though it is quite evident that they are your captors.
If you're the others at Poena Privus.... You begin to roleplay as soon as the carriage with the victims arrives, and see them ushered in. If you're a simple trainee, you do not understand or know why they have been brought here, so you may have differing thoughts on the reasoning.

((You may now begin roleplaying. :>))
The wheels of the carriage creaked and churned underneath them as they rode in near silence towards Poena Privus. Was this really the right thing to do, taking young ones against their will? Even Sibelius questioned this, though he shook off any burden of guilt, knowing that whatever the reason, this was for the greater good, for their own good. Before him, unconscious on the floor of the carriage were majin and human youth alike, bound with anti-magic charms everywhere around them. Some were beginning to stir, and he was dreading the moment they'd awake, startled, and begin screaming questions at him.
A sigh escaped the man's lips as he leaned his back against the hardwood of the carriage wall, next to the other reapers and blackhearts who had assisted in the operation. "Looks like we're in for a hell of a time when they come to," he muttered. "Somehow, I don't think they'll understand. At least we're almost home." He dragged his fingers down his face in a disgruntled way before resting his chin in his palm, cold grey eyes scanning the bodies before them. "I wonder if it'll lighten their mood a bit if we...draw on their face. Anyone have a marker?"

When the mission had first been brought to him, he'd been reluctant to say the least. He wasn't a kidnapper, wasn't a man that caused fear in children and stole them away from their parents. However at the gentle urgings that it was for the greater good, that some other form of harm would come to these children as well as those around them... Well, he always wanted to help those he could... Even if it sometimes took more extreme measures to do so.
Crimson eyes darted to the side, locking on Sibelius when he spoke, before they fell to the young Witchlings that they had captured, a soft sigh passing his lips. Yes, they would definitely be in for a rather... noisy end to their journey when those that they had kidnapped decided to wake up. Honestly Cruor couldn't blame them if they were, but it would be more than a little annoying when it did happen nonetheless. Shaking his head he glanced back to Sibelius arching a brow at his next comments.
"Drawing on their faces would be far more entertaining to us, methinks." Cruor muttered, shrugging his shoulders. "What? You don't enjoy hysterics?"
Cruor was teasing of course, looking amused as he shot a small smirk at the other man. However the expression quickly died, eyes hooding as he sank into introspection once more, his gaze falling to those that lay on the floor of the carriage. What would happen to them once they reached Poena Privus? He had no love for the Majins present but the humans... Well he supposed that anything was possible when it came to humans. Perhaps they weren't all innocent in their own way, at least, that was what he told himself.
"You know..." he murmured, frowning as he stared at their captives. "I don't remember... There being any evidence presented... For why we had to do this. Do you, Sibelius?"
Once more the Blackheart glanced over at the other man, looking to him for answers as he, in a way, automatically looked to him when he wanted orders or information. Perhaps his paranoia was getting the better of him, making him suspicious, making him wary, but he wanted to make sure that there was a reason for all this. He did believe in their cause, wholeheartedly so in fact, but something about what they had just done nagged at the back of his mind.

Sounds slowly brought her to conciousness, man her head hurt. Like that time she tried a sleeping potion but ended up making alcohol. Not her best work. The sounds Scentana heard were voices. She made a soft sound of her own as she moved to sit up. But she couldn't. Why couldn't she move? The mononoke pulled on her arms, feeling the bindings around her wrists. She even felt them on her ankles. What was going on?
She opened her violet eyes and looked around. The first thing she noticed were all the magical bindings. Apparently someone didn't want any spells cast. There were others like her, bound and asleep. Her eyes traveled to those that were already awake and speaking. They were dressed in armor. Where they knights? They did not look like the kind knights who visited her shop. They were dark and scary. Perhaps.....these....were the Blackhearts?
"Where...where am I?" her soft voice spoke and she shifted to lean up on her shoulder. Her black and white tail curled around her legs as she looked up at her captors.

Sibelius sighed, his eyes closing as he leaned back with his arms propped behind his head. Cruor had a point; there was no evidence presented...to them. In his position, higher than Cruor's, he had all the evidence he needed, though it was evidence to the contrary of what they were doing. "Don't be so glum," he muttered, without opening his eyes. "It's not like they're going to be hurt a lot." one eye opened at the scuffling noises from someone on the floor, falling onto the form of the skunk-girl.
"You're in a carriage, aren't you? Enjoy the ride." he muttered, his eye closing again, before he turned his words back to the other blackheart beside him. "Runa wouldn't give us a pointless order, you know that. The details of this mission were need-to-know, and all we needed to know was that we had to go collect some kids." Both eyes opened as he cast a glare at the scuffling girl, pointing a finger at her. "Stop making that scraping noise, and just think of this like a field trip. Maybe you'll even get a nice little t-shirt to bring home."

The small witchling's eyes grew wide when the one spoke of someone getting hurt. She had an uneasy suspection she and the others would be on the recieving end of that pain. But why? What had they done? She couldn't remember having upset or hurt anyone. She looked over at the others who were still unconcious. Quite a few were mononokes like herself. Her parents had told her some feared those could take the shape of animals, but would they go this far to hurt them? The one pointed at her and spoke harshly.
"I...I'm sorry.." she was not brave. Not really. Too young and uneducated in her own magic. She didn't even have the presence of mind to wonder if she could transform into her skunk form to escape. She wondered if she still had any of her potions that she had managed to make before she passed out. She didn't remember what she had been doing when she was taken. She thought maybe she was out buying ingredients. Or was she returning to her small dorm after working at the bakery that night? Oh dear. It was all so confusing.
Purple eyes looked up at the other man who spoke, the one with dark red armor. But here again she was confused. If these people were after mononokes then why was one sitting there. He looked to be of dragon blood, with his tail so armored. Her guess was probubly wrong but it didn't relieve any of her fears. "Why are we being taken?"

A throbbing pain was the first thing to bring him round and back to the waking world. He couldn't remember a time his head ached this badly, but his arms were sore and legs felt cramped as well. He tried to recall what had happened that would result in him waking up to such pain. No matter how much effort he put into remembering, he came up empty on answers. He simply couldn't remember what happened.
Deep red eyes opened, taking in the blurry world around him before clearing enough that he could make out shapes. His ear twitched upon hearing voice, and the little bell attached to one furry ear jingled. He lifted his head, his gaze automatically searching for the speakers. Apparently, he wasn't the only captive awake at this time. He saw another witchling had stirred, another mononoke though he didn't recognize her. The blackheart's comment almost made him snort derisively. Now was not the time to anger those that had kidnapped him and many others. Even if he had useful magic, he was bound and there enough wards up to keep him for attempting any magic. Plus, he would be no match against a couple of blackhearts.
"The ride would probably be more enjoyable if we weren't bound up so uncomfortably," he said with a falsely pleasant smile as his tail twitched anxiously. He didn't like not knowing what exactly was going on, but it sounded like the blackhearts didn't have all the details on why they kidnapped a bunch of witchlings either.

There were indistinct voices murmuring around her. The bobcat mononoke's eyes scrunched as her consciousness swum dizzily to the surface. Ah, her neck was stiff, and she felt chilly, like she had fallen asleep crunched up on the floor somewhere. After a moment, Mia's eyes blinked open, blinking rapidly to clear the bleariness from her eyes. But the darkness behind them didn't go away, only lessened. She felt her magic reaching out to its surroundings as she attempted to get her bearings, but it stopped and was clamped down. Feeling for it, Mia, still not completely awake realized something was sealing her magic. And, while her panic rose, she realized even her mononoke form and psyche were locked from her.
The witchling sat bolt upright, that particular absence being enough to wake her substantially. Her luminous green eyes narrowed and began darting around as her ears rose to points and her tail fluffed out in alarm as a guttural growl emanated from her throat, something she was not fully in control of at the moment. She immediately backed herself into a corner as best she could while bound, ears twitching rapidly as her eyes began to ascertain what was around her.
There were several other witches and witchlings around her, bound as she was. Two others were awake, also mononokes, and despite their similar uniforms, she didn't recognize them. While scared, they seemed calm, at least more than she. There were a scattering of black hearts with them, too. Well, it seemed the girl had gone and gotten herself kidnapped. Or arrested. Her brow furrowed as she fought to remember what she had been doing afterward. She had just been returning to school from visiting her parents in the residential part of Makai that evening, but she never remembered reaching the gates of the school. After leaving her house, she didn't remember much of anything, really.
The instinctive growl in her throat managed to lower itself in volume as the witchling confirmed that there seemed to be no immediate danger to herself. She hadn't heard the previous conversations, though, so Mia watched their guards suspiciously, but said nothing, waiting to see what was being said.

The first thing that he became aware of as he came to was the fact that he couldn't move, at least not in the way that he wanted. It took his groggy mind a moment to realize why, bindings. Wait, bindings? Why was he bound? Glancing down at them with a startled look in his eyes he gave them a momentary tug, testing them, but he realized after a moment that they weren't something that he could so easily escape, were they? Not as if he were a master of escape or anything he thought to himself as he struggled to at least sit up so that he could get a better look at what was going. After doing so he almost wished that he hadn't, wished that he'd feigned still being unconscious since it would save him from seeing all the others around him who were also bound and beyond them those who weren't bound. He could only assume that those were the ones that had trussed him up like this.
A thought flickered through his mind, it was of his Grannie's many warnings that he had to be careful because of such possibilities, there there were those out there that didn't like his kind. Then again there were many mononoke around him that had been taken as well. Perhaps he was wrong in his guess that they were hunting his kind? What was the reason then? He was drawing a blank... he tried to recall what had brought him to Moonfall in an attempt to put it all together. He'd had some free time from school, had decided to go on a hunt for a rare flower that was supposed to grow in the area around Moonfall, and then... that was where it seemed to get a big hazy. What had happened then? He was on his walk in search of that plant and then he woke up in the carriage bound. Had he accidentally trespassed somewhere? Seemed like to many people to be taken for trespassing though which caused him to completely run out of ideas for why he was here.
Lifting his bound hands best that he could he set to rubbing them against his head in attempt to clear the fog in his head, it was as started to clear more and more he realized that he couldn't use any of the magic he'd been practicing, in fact it felt strangely as though he'd been cut off from it. Strange... sure it wasn't as if he would be at all formidable given that all his spells so far weren't quite that impressive and were mostly helpful when dealing with gardening but it seemed these rather dangerous looking people weren't taking chances, were they? Bound up and with zero magic Uaithne found himself taking in those around him, the lay out of the carriage, and trying to figure out his chances of getting out of here. He was guessing that they were slim to none at best.

Kalypso opened her eyes and looked around her. She didn’t know what was going on. All she knew was that she was in a moving vehicle, and that her hands and ankles were bond. So she couldn’t move at all. She noticed that she was not alone in the vehicle there were others in it with her. She noticed the one that were not tied up. “They must be my captors.” She talked silently to herself so not to direct any attention to herself. She looked around at everyone again and saw that she recognized a few of the other witches and witchlings. She wanted to say something to them but was scared of what may happen to her if she did. With her bond hands she tried to feel for her flute. She never went anywhere without it and couldn’t believe that she forgot it. All she remember was going to the store to pick up some bread, just a loaf of bread and then…. Her memory after going to the store was foggy. She did know that she had to make it back to her dorm fast. She through about why she had to go back in such a hurry and groaned. She had left the stove on. She hoped the school didn’t burn down.

Cruor snorted at the other man, rolling his eyes and looking a little disgruntled at the casual dismissal of his inquiry. Crimson eyes drifted to those they had kidnapped, eying them as one by one they began to awaken, their breathing patterns changing just enough for him to notice, even with the ones feigning. A few here and there were still out, but most of them were waking up; that meant that unloading them from the carriage would be more than a little annoying.
"I know, Sib." Cruor sighed, raking his gauntlet covered fingers through his hair. "But I've got a bad feeling about this. I get the majin but... The others don't really make sense to me."
His eyes fell to the two that spoke, brow lifting before glancing at Sibelius. Heaving a sigh he shifted, relaxing a little back into his seat, arms draping almost carelessly over the back, the very image of relaxed confidence... That is, unless one looked close and noted the tension in his arms, the way his hands gripped the cushion tightly. After a moment he opted to answer, eyes hooding as he stared intently at the girl who had asked the question.
"That's for us to know and you to find out." he muttered, eyes narrowing as he glanced at another mononoke, brow lifting; goodie, one with an attitude. "We could have always strapped you to the roof."

Scentana's little black ears went back and her tail wrapped more tightly around her legs. There was a drawback to being a mononoke, it was hard to hide your feelings. She had finally managed to sit up when the other spoke to her, his eyes piercing into her own purple ones. He had mentioned majin, so some of the others who weren't mononokes must be them. What were they going to do to them?
She looked to the other mononokes who had awoken, both cats in some for she imagined. One was already being rude, which she didn't think would get them very far. The other, the female, seemed scared. In fact she had hissed and growled. It was times like these she was glad her animal form just grunted. Others were now waking, soon they would all be awake. All of them looked no older than her, so they must be witchlings. That meant none of them had good use of their own magic for defense. That didn't send a great deal of relief into her. Even if they had numbers on their side their lack of ability would doom them.
She shifted towards the bobcat girl backed into the corner, trying to put on a brave face even if her eyes betrayed her fear. "Hey....um...are..you ok?" well that was a stupid question. She'd smack her own forehead for it, "I mean...other than the obvious." She wondered if the girl was hurt or anything. None of them seemed injured just yet, having been the only one awake when pain had been mentioned. Most just seemed to be sore from being bound and laying in one position.

It was when the carriage went over a bump in the unknown road that gave a rough shake to the passengers, that Athir woke. The process was steady, not sudden, gray eyes groggily unveiled, long golden hair streamed messily around him on the ground. His ear was pressed to the floor, the rumbling and creaking of the carriage now amplified since he was awake and becoming more lucid. Even more slowly did he realize that there were voices.... Unfortunately, when he tried to ease up from resting on his side, he found his arms to be hindered, at the wrists, and the same for his ankles. Warily looking to his gloved hands, he could see that he was indeed shackled. Any sort of free movement was impossible. A few more blinks were the most the quiet boy gave, before he began to let those dark eyes roam the other body's that were with him....
It seemed there were some sort of knights.... as well as... reapers? But they weren't at all bound. What... was going on..? There were youngster's all around too, those who were probably no more than a year or two younger, maybe even the same age, as him. For now he'd remain quiet, and perhaps gain information on just what exactly was going on...

Cedar wasn't new to the feeling of grogginess or blurry thoughts and vision. But she hadn't used her magic, and last she could remember she was with Lea. Sitting up and settling back against the side of the carriage she glanced around and it seemed that most of the others were starting to rouse. Most of the others. That didn't sounds quite right and as she fidgeted she she came to notice that she was bound magically and had no access to her power. "Lea..?" She looked around for him, and took notice of Xerxes, Uaithne and some others she was friendly with.
As the carriage rumbled her head cleared up, and she noticed the Black Hearts. One more specifically from the Halloween Ball that she had a strange feeling from. And then the one that had helped her when her landlord turned out to be a Witch Eater. What a strange turn of the tables on that one. The air was to stiff for Cedar's liking, it it made him feel even more uncomfortable as she tried to inch her way closer to those she knew.

As those around him started to rouse themselves and sit up he started to recognize face among the group, Cedar was here, so was Kalypso, as well as the guy that he'd met in the library a while back, and a few others. It had him shifting in place in an uncomfortable manner. He'd been worried for himself, of course, but seeing friends here made him that much more uncomfortable. What did these people want with them? What were they after? His attention was drawn to the intimidating guy in the heavy armor that was speaking about having a 'bad feeling' about what was going on, that he understood why the Majin were taken but not the others. That made him even more uncomfortable, to think that the guy was all for taking Majin... that meant that he might end up garnering his attention which was something that he didn't want, not even in the least bit. Still, better him then Kalypso or Cedar, the idea of such a scary guy turning his attentions on a girl made his stomach turn a little.
With this in mind Uaithne shifted himself so that he was closer to Kalypso who was closer to him, putting himself between his friend and the dragon. Turning to look her over he couldn't think of anything to say, he wanted to reassure her but in this situation there really was no way to do that was there? Instead he merely gave her a weak sort of smile and turned to glance back over toward the abductors. He'd wanted to see a lot of these people again, having enjoyed the time he'd spent with them but this wasn't how he'd pictured it, not having nearly so vivid or dark an imagination.
