Aodhan sighed heavily as he walked through the town, stepping out of people's ways and watching as they stepped out of his. He was super tired. Training all the new, aspiring knights wasn't exactly easy and truth be told, it worked up quite the appetite within the small knight.
He chewed on his lip, trying to hide his piercing, blue eyes under his helmet to no success. He felt as if they sometimes glowed. People wouldn't stop staring at him. He suppressed a growl, feeling they were either staring because he was a knight, or because he was...short for a knight. The all of five foot five inches male continued to trudge down the street, reciting the definition of trudge and smiling sarcastically to himself. He was such an a** to himself.
He looked around at the shops, figuring out what kind of food he was in the mood for. Honestly, he wasn't really ready to have a meal, but he was wanting something to munch on, but a snack was too small. He opted for a sweets place, or a bakery. A little cheese danish sounded excellent at the moment honestly.
The weight of his hammer seemed to lift as his muscles were reinvigorated at the thought of an adorable cheese danish. He found the bakery and opened the door, walking over to the counter. A few people bowed at him in respect, he, out of feeling awkward, did the same, with a smile on his face and a light hue of red on his cheeks. He wasn't really good at receiving attention, even if he'd been a knight for some time now.
He smiled at the child with the family, and watched them as they exited. He felt a bit relieved as they left, allowing his shoulders to drop. He turned around, looking at the sweets on the counter and in the baskets. The entire room smelled delicious. He felt his mouth water as his eyes searched for a cheese danish.

The knight's entrance was immediately noticed by the owner but not by his little helper. The skunk mononoke, Scentana, was happily decorating a fresh batch of cupcakes. She hummed softly to herself as she added little happy faces to each one, grinning herself. She quickly placed them on a tray and headed for the display case. She slid the tray into view for the customers and looked up to see an older male staring back at her.
"Oh! So sorry!" she grinned a little sheepishly then gave him a bright smile, "Welcome to our cafe! Can I help you with something?" She simply smiled as if he were any other customer, the giant weapon seemingly escaping her notice.
The owner facepalmed, realizing his very backwoods worker had no idea she was talking to a Cerberus Knight. The girl had never been exposed to much of the magical society so she didn't know how she was suppose to address the royal guards of their fair city. She wasn't showing him proper respect! He quickly walked over, "Good Knight, forgive Scentana's....ignorance. She is not use to seeing such honorable customers."
The witchling blinked. Knight? This guy was a knight? She looked back at him, finally seeing his weapon. She wondered why she hadn't seen it before. "Oh wow, you are a knight," she pointed at his weapon. Captain Obivious at her best.
Again, facepalm.
Scentana squeeked as she realised she had made a mistake and bowed to the knight, "So sorry sir. I am new to the city and have not learned all the proper social graces. How may we serve you?"

Aodhan laughed lightly, bringing a slender, calloused hand to cover his soft lips. His eyes were warm, despite the cool color that resided there. "It's quite alright. I get enough formalities as it is. I'm sure I can survive without some here." Truth be told, he could survive them outside of anywhere. He hated when people submitted themselves to him. It made him feel like he was abusing his own power, even if it wasn't of his doing. He was their protector, not their lord.
"Uh, I'd like a cheese danish, actually miss." He noted her tail and ears, his eyes still warm. She was a mononoke then. How cute. He moved away from the counter, looking at the fresh bakery items the girl had just put out. "And one of these too, please miss? They look wonderful. Everything, honestly looks wonderful. Could make me fat if I stayed in here too long." He smiled, exposing white, pearly teeth.

Scentana was grateful the knight hadn't taken offense at her lack of respect. Really she aught to take some classes or something on proper magical status. Or something at least she thought as she twitched a little black ear. Her boss gave her a stern look which always meant she was to be on her best behavior. She gulped a little and nodded then went to where the cheese danishes are.
"Yes sir. Everything here is made fresh daily. We pride ourseles on the best sweets," she smiled and blushed a little at the compliment to her cupcakes. The little smiley faces had been meant more for the children, who called them Smile Cakes. She placed the danish on a small plate then added one of the cup cakes.
"Oh now we have you getting face, good knight. How would you fit into your armor?" she giggled and placed the plate on a small tray. "Would you like anything to drink? We have coffees, teas, ciders, and juices." She showed him the racks and pitchers of drinks they had for helping wash down all the sugar.

Aodhan thanked her silently as his blue eyes turned their attention tot he drinks she was offering. He cocked his head, chewing on his lip as he looked from one drink option to the other. Kian would always chastise him about chewing his lip, said it was unbecoming then again...it was unbecoming for a knight to befriend a witch eater...
He chuckled at her comment on fitting into armor. A funny image popped into his head of a fat version of him, having to lather up in butter to squeeze in, and even then fat seemed to burst from each part of armor. He suddenly felt a bit sick...but the image was so comical in his mind, he couldn't help but giggle out loud. "I'll leave that to you to figure out when you've made me a fat man," he teased, his typical warm smile upon his face.
"Which teas are served cold? I'm not really a fan of anything hot in this armor," he blushed a bit, feeling rather clunky in his suit of armor. He had just gotten of duty...it wasn't like he didn't have a reason, but he always felt...out of place, within the realms of civilians wearing his armor. Then again, it probably all went back to the fact they always moved out of his way and did anything they could for him. He loved these people, it was he who should move out of the way, not force them to...

Scentana giggled at the idea of the knight poking out of his armor as well, her purple eyes sparkling. She watched him look over the drinks then ask about cold served drinks. Quickly going over the menu in her head she picked out a few the man might like. "Well we have several iced teas as well as some fruit teas served with crushed ice," she thought out loud, "those are usually rather cool in taste and refreshing!"
She explained the ingredients in each tea so the knight could make a more informed decision. Some were simple herbal teas cooled after being heated. Others were brewed cold. The fruit teas were made of fruit that had been finely chopped and then crushed along with the ice. Then it was mixed with a regular tea as a flavoring. Her boss seemed to approve of her explainations, at least he didn't smack his forehead again. Sin was quite sure the man would forever have a red mark there if he didn't stop.
"So which would you like, sir?" she smiled brightly at him.
