Nix A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ╫Main Information╫
Full Name: Nix A Nicknames: n/a Age: 15 Birthdate: ??/?? Gender: Female Nation: Indelca Rank: Student Title: n/a Bloodline: Human Class: n/a Faction: n/a Speed: 6 [8 with reflex modifier] Strength: 4
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ╫Character Description╫
Personality: Nix is a bit of a paradox, as is expected from a teenager with lost memories. The girl can be quite mature: acting quiet, calm, and gentle for the most part and displaying outstanding insight, observation, and memory. However, she can also be childishly naïve at the same time: acting oblivious to social norms that most her age would find obvious and displaying a carefree curiosity that only a child would display. Despite the uncertainty about herself, Nix almost always shows a genuine smile; a frown is rare for her. Even when she is pushed over the edge, the girl doesn't frown. Instead, she copes by withdrawing into herself, falling silent and doing only what is absolutely needed in the most efficient manner that almost seems robotic and definitely unnatural in its exactness. For the most part, though, such listless…. No, not listless. For the most part, such empty phases do not last too long. Usually before people start to even begin missing the old Nix, the girl is back to her usual, happy self. When in battle, no large change comes over Nix. Unless noted otherwise, she maintains the same personality, being just as curious, calm, and gentle as always even if those personality traits are expressed in a different behavior, one more solemn and matching the situation. She almost always stresses for a peaceful resolution and it would be highly abnormal for her to turn cold to her opponent. Strangely enough, though, the girl has an amazing sense for battle despite her wish for peace. This unnatural sense for combat is so natural that it's practically instinct; as if Nix had been forced to fight to survive since she was young. __History__
Nix's origins are truly unknown. She simply appeared in Indelca one day and when asked about her history, she seems unable to really explain it. She does seem to genuinely try, though. Just ignore what was written below. I have the general idea of my history, I just don't really know the specifics so... yeah. Probably won't write it for a while.... Nix walked near the edge of the giant floating platform that was Indelca. She was perilously close to the edge, but she didn't seem to particularly care; she was certain she wouldn't fall off. The girl breathed in the refreshing, thin air that could only be breathed in at high elevations. On one side, the girl could just feel the warmth of the sun that was beginning to peek over the horizon. In most places, the rising sun would mark the beginning of the day in this season. However, in Indelca, its high position caused the inhabitants to witness the rising sun long before any comfortable time to wake up in this season. On the other side, Nix could sense the hush of the still-sleeping city. Today would be her first day. That was why the girl was up at such an hour. In the silence, the girl thought back to her first memories. The first thoughts she could recall had been formed less than a year ago. It was nothing dramatic, really. In fact, the only abnormality of the memory was the fact there was absolutely nothing she could recall before it.  Eyes fluttered open. The eyes saw, but did not understand. All that was being processed in the mind were four letters and a number, <'n' 'x' 'i' 'a' '15' 'a' 'x' 'i' '15' 'x'...,> and so on. Then everything stopped.  Things began moving again. Time passed and information began to be funneled from the eyes to the brain. The first bit was something large and bright overhead. Then came some other sense than the first thing she sensed with. Slowly, one by one, the other senses began activating were slowly classified as they came out. The first had been sight from the eyes. The second had been hearing from the ears. Taste, touch, and smell followed one by one soon after from the girl's mouth, body, and nose respectively. Yes, she even understood that she was a "girl" at this point. There was an extremely blindingly bright light over her and the ears, sensitive from lack of experience, could hear a faint hum. The girl felt something hard, cold, tight, and smooth across her body with portions that had some other texture and other portions that could feel the air. A static, chemical smell filled the nose. The taste of the air, as tasteless as it was, was amplified by the mind that was unused to even such a subtle taste. All of the senses were extremely sensitized. With the girl's past an entire blank, this was essentially the first time the senses had sensed. After about several more hours, the girl could feel that she could do something. Awkwardly, her mind issued several orders and the girl felt her muscles moving. When the muscles moved, her body moved as well, but it was stopped short. In the short time the girl had the chance to keep trying, the tightness increased around the part of the body she tried to move. The same set of letters and the single number continued to whiz in a haphazard fashion around her mind. They had still not formed a set pattern. The girl's overly sensitive skin screamed as the skin of a small, tiny point in the part of the body that the mind classified as the neck was broken open while she was trying to move her body. She could do nothing more.  After an unknown amount of time, the girl's brain began working again as it picked up something new. Some new sound. Several new sounds. There were thump-scratch and some up-down noise. There were many noises. New images blurred across the girl's eyes, the thump-scratches and up-downs continued. The loudest up-down noise always matched with an open-close hole that dominated the new image. The image moved and the girl felt herself lifted. Without moving, the girl saw herself move, that was too much for her brain to process. Everything went black.  Things were clearer when the blackness disappeared. The girl could now see that the image before was an image that her mind told her were like her. The image was about her size. The up-down noise, which was recognized as a voice, began again but it was different from any of the voices she had originally heard. This voice was higher. The girl could understand now, knew that the open-close hole that matched the up-down voice was a mouth and that it was set in a face. There was a different feeling, too. Something was on the girl, something warm and comfortable. There was something warm and comfortable below the girl as well. She felt her mouth move and her mind issue another order, "'x' 'i' 'a' 'n' '15' 'n' 'i' 'a' '15' 'x' 'i'...." The faces-like-hers twisted into something the girl knew was confusion. Slowly, bits and pieces were returning to her. However, the great blankness from before her first thought remained blank. Over and over again, the girl repeated the letters and number she knew in no particular order. The image picked up something and began to do something with it, as another similar image that had initially been outside of the girl's vision appeared while moving and then disappeared. After several more minutes of reciting, the girl fell silent. The image came back, with another similar image. The three images grouped together, murmurs of voices were heard. The two that were in the room before returned to where they had been before and the third that had been brought in exited the room. Several hours passed, she felt herself doing something, and then she entered the blackness again, This time, however, the blackness didn't last long. It was plagued by something, some terrible dream. A dream like a memory… or was it a memory like a dream?  The girl woke up. Yes, now she knew that when the blackness disappeared she had stopped sleeping and had woken up. Things were definitely clearer, now. Here was another being like her next to her and yet another being like her on the other side of her. One was more like her than the other. They were both the same gender, but the first one she saw was her age while the other was older. The older one moved and then disappeared. The thought struck her. . Questions whizzed through one after another. The female, who had gotten up when she had seen the strange girl's eyes open, quickly came in closer out of concern. Once more, the girl felt herself blacking out and her mouth move to form the now familiar set, "'x' 'a' 'i' '15' 'n'…."  The next time the girl felt herself wake up, her thoughts were ordered. She stayed silent while she was sat up and given food and water by the being her age while the older female disappeared. No, she didn't disappear. The girl could now understand that the older female had simply left the room. She could feel whatever was warm and comfortable fall off her body now, but she wasn't bare. No, she had something on her body, clothes. They felt silky smooth and fine, giving her still-sensitive body a pleasant feeling. Now, other details came into focus: brown hair done neatly into a bun and hazel eyes set into a round face above a clean uniform-dress. The details ranged from the specific to the general and much of it the girl couldn't understand. Finally, when both the mental and physical action had died down, she felt the time was right, "Who? Where? What? How? When? Why?". The question came out rapidly, one after the other. After saying them, she noticed it was harder to stay up then before she had been given nutrition. The female her age looked around nervously, not sure what to do. It reached for something, only to drop it again as the older female reappeared with someone at her side. This new image was the most different from the girl. This being was a different gender. He wasn't as old as the older female, but he was older. Some sort of hurried conversation the girl couldn't decipher took place between the three. The two females then left and the male approached her. He said something. The girl could not understand. He tried again, "What…." Now the girl could understand the first word that was being, but no more. However, that one word created a chain of reactions in her mind and her mouth sounded out, "Who? What? When? Where? How? Why?". The man's cold eyes, yes the girl could tell that they had a cold appearance now, gazed even more piercingly at her. However, he didn't say anything. "What? When? Who? Why? How? Where?" the girl repeated. The man's changed just a bit from what the girl could see but she couldn't read the meaning behind the change. He began, "Do you not kn-." Nix couldn't hear anymore and the next instant she entered a blank sleep once more.  "You are awake? Are you alright?" he asked calmly and distantly. Even these words had a hint of coldness. Without knowing it, the girl mumbled a slight undertone in the speaker's words that she had caught, "Worry." She was starting to be able to think more clearly and analyze more deeply while also regaining her voice. However, most things remained fuzzy to her. It seemed that this man besides her, was an exception. The man raised and eyebrow but nodded. "That I am," he answered truthfully and then moved straight to business, "Can you explain now?" while ringing a bell twice. The girl, who had figured out how to work several other motor functions in addition to speaking, sat herself up with one hand covering her right eye. A moment ago, she had rubbed the eye in the customary action most people took upon waking up and found that it somehow relieved her of something, she couldn't really describe it, when her eye was blocked. Now, she was keeping that eye covered. "Explain?" the girl thought out loud. The young woman-in-uniform came back in with a tray of food, set it down, and departed quietly. The male, nodded and replied in a business-like tone, "Yes, explain. Who a-". Before he could finish, though, the girl's mind had returned to the questions that had been circulating through her mind, "When? Who? What? Where? How? Why?". Then, after a single cycle of that, she moved on to the letters and numbers that were her only firm foundation, "'x' 'i' '15' 'a' 'n'." The man's face subtly changed. The change caused Nix to stop and repeat, "Worry," just as the man placed his hand in front of her mouth to keep her from talking. "Enough, I understand now," the black-haired male commanded, his voice as distant as ever despite touching the girl, "No need to tire yourself out." The girl had nothing to think about the new commands. She simply followed them and remained quiet as she watched the man's eyes flicker around her face and body. His large hand moved from her lips. She felt something touch her hand. "Your hand," the girl mumbled in thought. Now that her voice had returned, it seemed as if she had temporarily lost the ability to think to herself. "Yes, it is," the man commented before asking, "Could you tell me why your hand is the way it is?". The girl made no response. The man did the most logical thing and moved her hand. The slight female allowed her hand to be moved. She made no resistance. "Nothing seems to be wrong," the male replied as his cold eyes look straight into the girl's. However, the girl definitely felt something wrong. The moment her hand was taken off and she could see through her right eye, she became tired. She understood now why covering her eye gave her a feeling of relief, she was being released from the sensation of weariness that built on her whenever her eye was open. As soon as her hand was released, it was quickly placed over her right eye again. She did her best to explain to herself, "Makes me tired. Having the eye open," which in turn worked as an explanation to the man as well. The calculating eyes examined her. The girl looked at the eyes and saw a sudden change in them, one that she knew had happened but could not decipher. "Feel free to eat," and he left. The human girl looked at the tray set on the table next to her. Since her right hand was keeping her comfortable by blocking the right eye, she only had her left hand to use. She sent commands to the left arm to move up the right hand. The right hand came up shakily and landed on the loaf of bread with a thud. "Have to pick up. Close fingers," the girl thought out loud. The black-haired man walked in once more, back straight and steps firm. In his hands he held a roll of bandages. "Hold still. Take your hand off your eye," was all he said as he leaned forwards after guiding the girl's hands back to her lap. The girl couldn't think of a way to keep her thoughts nonverbal on will, and so she asked herself quite clearly, "Should I? Should I not?". A careless reply was given, "Trust me." Trigger phrase. The unknown girl's eyes flashed. They were already staring straight at the other's eyes so they hadn't moved at all, but something had happened to them for just a moment. She was still and silent for a long while after. Something was happening in her silence. Then she slumped forwards. Darkness blocked her senses.  "You've been talking in your sleep," the only other voice that the girl could remember was the first thing to greet her, even before vision. The human's motions were more fluid now as she got up and she immediately noticed something was wrong with her vision. Whatever had happened when she was asked to trust, it had caused her to improve by leaps and bounds. Still, though, she couldn't find a hint of what happened before this now. Bringing a hand up to her face to check what was wrong, the girl felt cloth.... {more coming soon....}

__Talent__
Combat Talent___________________________________________________________ XXXXXXApproval Link: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=16&t=21895579#322682691
Description Within Nix, the opposing essences of void and energy are present, their very presence creating the third force of chaos. With such a volatile balance within the girl, Nix's abilities differed greatly from others, forcing her to forge her own path as she uncovered weaknesses and strengths that most others don't have. This discovery is facilitated by her progress through her talent. While all weaknesses are constantly active regardless of her level, Nix is unable to access the strengths of her talent until reaching the proper rank: Student- General Trainee- Energy Adept- Void Expert- Chaos
General Nix's body is naturally built for speed, her stature somewhat smaller and more fragile than the average body, which is partly due to the chaos that weakens the physical strength of her body from within. Other than the usual class specifications, the volatile array of energy, void, and chaos within Nix also shows physical manifestations that represent just how uncontrollable the combination can be at times. The majority of these physical side-effects prove to be negative but there are some indirect positive consequences. Strengths: Nix has a +1 base speed stat with a +2 situational modifier whenever she performs an action relying on reflexes (ex: dodging). Additionally, her inability to completely master any particular skill set gives her a wider than average range of fighting styles than most. She can master up to five fighting (including hand-to-hand, shields, guns, close-range, and long-range) styles. Her inability to use her right eye without negative consequences on her body has also indirectly caused Nix to be able to use energy to sense her surroundings through a combination of minor energy detection, her five senses, and instinct. All this does is negate Nix lack of depth perception with only one eye. Weaknesses: Most importantly, Nix can have neither a class nor an element; her naturally volatile nature prevents any sort of specialization in the normal methods. On more specific aspects, just as Nix's light body is built for speed, it is definitely not built for strength with a -1 base strength; even the strength/defense bonuses from hand-to-hand styles are halved. Likewise, the girl cannot wield any heavy weaponry or wear any heavy armor; along with heavy armor, she is unable to use any armor that requires special training to use. Additionally, the volatile balance of energy, chaos, and void creates a number of negative side-effects (explained more in the chaos section).
Energy While energy is naturally found in all beings, Nix has an abnormally pure store within her. This pure store of energy allows the girl to perform attacks with her store of energy. However, this energy is simply condensed, allowing her to use less energy for most skills. In fact, Nix actually has less energy than most other people thanks to another attribute. Strengths: Nix's highly condensed energy allows her to pull off any and all skills with only half of the required energy (when needed, round up). She can also create and use her own, personal energy-related skills (up to 20). Weaknesses: Because her energy is so concentrated, Nix's stamina, which is considerably less than the average, is naturally supported by her energy pool. Speed and strength are both lowered by one (3/5) when Nix has only 40% of her energy left and then are lowered once more by one (2/4) when she has only 20% of her energy left.
Void The void in Nix takes up a part of the space that energy would normally take up in a being. This void has a peculiar relationship with her energy. While causing the energy to condense and become stronger the void also opposes the energy and creates a constant state of chaos with Nix. Strengths: Nix's void-tainted aura allows her to excel in hiding and sneaking, with the sounds, smells, energy, and anything else she emits being considerably deadened by her aura. Often times, her very presence is so dulled that people fail to notice that she is in a room until they see her directly. To supplement this transparent aura, the girl also has practiced the art of misdirection, making it even harder to notice her. Most of the time, Nix uses her void to passively and automatically hide her energy whenever she is not fighting, using a skill, or attacking in any way. This talent is mainly useful as a maneuver to sneak past an energy sensor. However, it can also be used to help escaping during a battle if Nix manages to get over two meters away from the energy sensor (out of their line of sight as well) and stays that far away as she escapes (distance does not matter out of combat). Nix can also hide specific portions of her energy rather than all of it, making it possible to fool people of her rank by only allowing a certain amount of energy to go through. The only weak spot of this ability to hide her presence is when Nix faces a seer at least one rank higher than her. At that level, the seer will be able to see Nix's energy no matter how hard she tries to hide it. Although, the only information they will be able to discover with their Sight even then will only consist of name, bloodline, class, rank, nation of origin, weapons, and abilities of special weapons. Weaknesses: On the downside, Nix's relation to void gives her a lower total energy than most, about 3/4 of the average amount (when needed, round up). It is also what indirectly causes her lack of strength. With void taking up some of the area that energy is supposed to take up, Nix is forced to have less energy, thus she has a smaller store of energy, lower stamina (explained more in the energy section), and lower strength/defense (explained more in the general section).
Chaos Chaos is the product of the interaction of void and energy, two opposites. Nonsensical at it's most logical, uncontrollable when it's most tame, chaos is indefinable. At most, it can only mess things up, a randomizer, but because that is it's only skill, it can do so much more. Most people are unused to chaos within their body--whereas Nix has always lived with chaos within her body--and so when it is introduced they are unable to fight back, leading to something or other happening. Even when resistance is built, it is only temporary. Strengths: Chaos causes disruption and as anyone who fights seriously knows, the slightest disruption can change the entire course of a battle. Nix is able to create this chaos and use it in various skills. Additionally, her ability to use chaos makes her passively immune to any chaos skills used against her. Weaknesses: While Nix's body is used to the chaos, that doesn't mean that she remains unscathed by its presence. The human body is not meant to house chaos, so Nix is affected negatively in several ways. The most seen and already mentioned is her inability to use her right eye. Although it can see perfectly fine, whenever Nix uses her right eye, energy leaks out of it (for every post the right eye sees, lose 10 energy points) and so she usually covers it with a bandage that doesn't allow the eye to be used at all. While this doesn't hinder her depth-perception because she's learned ways to handle that problem, it does leave a large blind spot on Nix's right side, forcing the girl to use only instinct and her other senses to predict an attack coming from that direction. The chaos in Nix's body even affects her speech, preventing her from knowingly telling a single lie. While the specifics are unknown, what is known is that whenever Nix tries to tell an outright lie (half-truths and word-plays are alright), she begins to feel nauseous and ends up blurting out the truth whenever she pushes herself too hard. While being unable to lie is bothersome, it isn't the most dangerous hindrance. No, the most dangerous is probably Nix's reaction to blood. When she is calm, she can usually handle seeing minimal to moderate amounts of blood but immediately freezes over anything more. When not calm (ex: in battle), the problem gets worse and anything more than the amount of blood shown from a light wound leaves Nix in a helpless state of shock. There is some reprieve, though, as she is not affected by seeing her own blood and only the sight of blood as it is normally seen by the human eye badly affects her (smelling, hearing, tasting, feeling, and sensing blood in any other way, including seeing in infrared vision and such, are fine). The only plausible explanation for this out-of-the-blue weakness is a combination of a natural dislike of blood, something or other in her forgotten past, and the volatile nature of her own aura. Strangely enough, when frozen/shocked by blood, the girl's expression isn't one of horror; instead, it can be best described as emotionless, as if it's trying to shut something out.

Description
In her forgotten past, Nix would find the answer to quite a number of her unmatched traits, such as her natural sense for battle despite being so unwilling to fight most of the time. An emotionless gunslinger from the streets of a nation shrouded completely in darkness 24/7, Nix (or Nai as her name was back then) had been trained in both body and mind to kill as a battle slave for as long as her memory back then could remember. As a result, despite her past having been forgotten, her mind and body retain the ever-present wariness and gun reflexes it had gained through the years. Extremely perceptive and sensitive, Nix is both hard to fool and hard to sneak up on. Strengths: Nix, while only a human, has had her senses highly honed and trained to always be at their best. Sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste are all heightened; nowhere close to the level of werebeasts or even kiranu, of course, but definitely as far as human senses with her past can go. Her sight is advanced to the point that she is able to see in the dark. No matter how much pressure she is under or how relaxed she is (excluding sleeping), if there is something that can be sensed even slightly, her brain will register and her body will react appropriately. Everything from blocking a sneak attack to changing diplomatic tactics to preparing for a fight is dealt with. In support of this increased sensitivity, Nix's reaction times to what she senses is equally abnormal. This can be most often seen when she handles a gun. The movement to take the weapon from its holster into a position with perfect (perfect as in the best that Nix can accomplish) aim requires only a moment for the girl. Weaknesses: When Nix falls asleep, she really falls asleep. It seems that any light sleeping habits (if there were any at all to begin with) were lost. While asleep, Nix gains no benefits from her talent and is more vulnerable than the average human, being harder to wake up than the average human. Major physical contact, loud noises, or an equivalent to either of those is required for Nix to be awakened (this excludes times when Nix wakes up by her own will; as in, she planned to wake up at about a certain time after having falling asleep). Hearing, while highly trained, is actually only average thanks to the increases in hearing being negated by the damage done to her ears from the years of using guns. The reactions to what is heard are just as sensitive, but the hearing itself is only as good as a normal human's because of constantly being exposed to the sounds of gunshots in her past. The sensitive skin is both a boost and a hindrance. Nix feels more from attacks that hit her, resulting in attacks feeling as if they were 1 rank higher in power (Nix receives the same amount of physical damage as others, but her mind feels more pain). The extra pain, without any training to oppose the sensation, results in an earlier end to the battle, with the girl either falling unconscious or withdrawing earlier than her peers would. Having no memory, Nix's sensitivity has nothing to compare its observations to. As a result, while the girl is always wary, she will need time before her perceptiveness can be used to its full potential: Up until adept rank, Nix will be more clueless about reading others than the normal person, with her time as a student being the worst. At adept rank, Nix will still be more clueless than the normal person, but with the right senses, she's able to observe enough cues from the bodies of others to appear, for the most part, on the same level as the average citizen. At journeyman rank, Nix will have been gained enough memories to catch up with those her age. Although, she has yet to recognize the more subtle cues that'll allow her to read further into people during a social situation. However, battle-related cues (ex: preparation for a fight, sneak attack) can be recognized. Expert rank and onwards is when Nix's perceptiveness reaches its max. At this point, she has had enough exposure to be able to use her over-sensitive senses to read the general emotions of those around her almost automatically.

Shattered Weapon________________________________________________________ XXXXXXApproval Link: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=10&t=21895549#329813857
Item Type Shattered Weapon Materials Metal… of different types from the looks of it. Description Various pieces of metal that seem to go together. Although, Nix can't seem to figure out what exactly they make. The largest parts seem to make some sort of rod, two rods actually, and a pair of blades but she can't figure out what many of the smaller pieces do and how they fit in. She's had them with her from her first memories and carefully keeps them as one of her few clues to her past. The scraps of metal obviously come from an object of decent size (small and portable, but not tiny, either). Nix carries them in a medium-sized sack that she usually stores in a bag or just carries with her. (Nix doesn't know it, but the pieces are parts of a heavily damaged tonfa gun with blades. The mysterious small pieces are parts of the shooting mechanism.)
???________________________________________________________________________ XXXXXXApproval Link: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=11&t=21895549#330285867
Item Type Pocket Watch Materials High quality steel. Description A somewhat large (normal diameter of 3.5 inches) working chained pocket watch with two clocks, a large main one and a smaller mini one embedded into the lower right blank area of the main clock, that is heavily influenced by Nix's dormant Tempus Papilio abilities and even embedded with her affinity to chaos. The larger clock works like a regular, twelve-hour clock. The smaller clock, when its dial rotates fully, measure exactly one minute. The mini and the main clock look exactly alive if their size wasn't accounted for; both use roman numerals. The watch, as a whole, is silver in color and has a cover that can be snapped open and closed. When open, the soft ticking of the mechanism can be heard. When closed, the watch is absolutely silent, all sounds are blocked. On the outside of the cover and back of the watch (basically, on both flat sides of the watch) is the finely done engraving of a detailed clock face without dials; compared to the raised decorations on most other pocket watches, such engraved decoration is quite unique. The design of the clock face engraving is exactly like the actual clock face inside, minus the mini clock. The inside of the cover is very reflective, creating a reflection as clear as any mirror's. The outside is equally reflective and clear, but the etched pattern distorts the mirroring effect slightly. In relation to Nix's dormant bloodline, the main clock keeps track of normal time with impeccable accuracy and the smaller clock, which is still until a time different from normal time is introduced, keeps track of distorted time with impeccable accuracy, translating it the way it seems to feel to the clock. Normal time refers to the time most people feel. Distorted time refers to the time that Nix feels when she's using certain Tempus Papilio skills on either herself or the clock. (Ex: Clock is in Time Ritard where 5 seconds is 1 normal second. Every time the main clock ticks off one second, the auxiliary clock has ticked away 5 seconds.) When still, the dial of the small clock always returns to the noon position. The clock only works when in possession of Nix (Nix doesn't necessarily have to hold the clock, it just needs to be clear that she's the owner). Should its time be off when its working for whatever reason, the dials will automatically move to the correct position and maintain the time from there. For now, the watch has no name. Not because Nix has no desire to name it or because there is no reason to name the watch, but because she has no idea what it's name originally was. It is one of the few things remaining from her past and is a complete mystery to the girl. Abilities Just as the clock doesn't work unless the watch is in Nix's possession, all abilities can only be used by Nix. The watch is like a living being in that it exerts energy, the same energy as Nix to be exact. This energy combined with the soft ticking that is heard when the watch is opened allows even those who are blind to be capable of watching and thus being affected by the moves that require watching the clock face. The clock simply needs to be focused on in some way. As the clock isn't really just a mechanical tool anymore, being flooded with water or even suffering from extreme temperatures to an extent does not harm it in any way. Although, it will break if it suffers something as intense as being thrown in a volcano and such.
- [When Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, he had a great fall. Even with all the king's men and all the king's horses, Humpty Dumpty could not be put back together again. Like Humpty Dumpty, this pocket watch cannot be fixed once it is broken. Luckily, though, the watch's shell isn't nearly as fragile as Humpty Dumpty's shell. The watch's casing can take up to the equivalent of 8 strength damage (usually up to C-rank damage for spells) without a single scratch. Additionally, even when small, it takes 2 ranks less of damage than normal from skills. From there, the damage resistance can go as far as up to half the attack's total rank as its size increases. It is when the watch's delicate inside is open that it is most vulnerable, as just about any level of damage can break through the clock face. Minor repairs (ex: taking the dents out of the casing) are capable of being done. Only major repairs such as those involving the mechanism are impossible to accomplish.]
- [The White Rabbit led unwitting Alice to the beginning of her grand adventure. All that the rabbit did, though, was show the girl the path. It was Alice's decision to follow it. This passive ability works when the watch is closed. It is a guide for Nix. Nix's lack of memories has left her defenseless, helpless, and completely clueless. All she knows about herself is what she's known for the past year or so, and she knows the world even less. However, while she may have forgotten, the watch seems to remember, if it can be called that. Murmuring, "I'm late! I'm late!" to the watch when it's closed creates two faintly glowing dials, not very noticeable unless someone is looking directly at the face of the watch's cover, on the clock face etched into the watch casing. Both dials, one for the minute hand and the other for the hour hand, start at the 12 mark. They then turn clockwise until reaching their positions. The hour hand points in the general direction that Nix's past self would have gone in. The minute hand conveys the importance that the decision would have been to the past self. The watch does not foresee, warn, or anything of that sort. It simply takes what Nix already knows and points out a likely direction. Once Nix has finished reading the results, she ends the guide by murmuring, "For a very important date!".]
- [A little cake labeled "eat me" and a little bottle labeled "drink me" caused quite a bit of chaos for poor Alice as she shrunk and grew repeatedly. It wouldn't be a surprise if she was quite confused as to her real size after a few rounds of eating and drinking. The watch, being filled with chaos, actually has no set size. It's "normal" size is simply the size the user likes to keep it in. It can instantly change size at the user's will, becoming anything as small as a keychain or as large as a wheel with a diameter equal to Nix's height.]
