Panagrammic Aquarium Bump OptionIn Account / Settings there is now a new option, "Aquarium Bump Thread."  Setting this to the topic ID of your bump thread will prevent people from leaving comments, and instead give them a link directly to your thread. The topic ID is the numeric portion of the URL of your bump thread -- for example, given the url of the R&G for the Aquarium forum: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/gaia-aquarium/gaia-aquarium-rules-guidelines-revised-3-11-09/t.48013283/ The topic ID would be 48013283. You should only link to threads in the "Aquarium" forum. Just so no-one misses the new Developer Notice. It might be relevant to some people's interests. Chiisai's Edit :

It's about time Gaia supports the bumpers, and the tank owners wanting the bumps. And the best part is: IT WORKS! xd
I've never had anything against comments in my tank, but it seems to be used mostly when people want to complain, and mainly it's because of a glitch you can't do anything about anyway. I'm using it, and I'm happy with it 3nodding

I'm using it, and I'm happy with it 3nodding Really? That's good to hear. I haven't had anyone bump my tank like that yet (I think) so I wasn't exactly sure how it was set up to work. But it is a nice "concession" to help with bumping after locking out auto-bumps then. Glad to see it.

The first time I typed my bump thread-number in, I accidentally backspaced two of the letters. If I hadn't tried it people would have been bumping me in in this thread, which is two digits short of my glow thread. *facepalm*

Threads have gotten a bit more numbers in their ID since 2004. xP I should test out mine too just to be sure it's in correctly. *zips off*

Hmmm.....my bg tank isn't all that profitable and I do place questions in the message in a bottle thread. If I do this,will it prevent people from playing? Their answers do go into the tank space. Still I pasted the code in my profile, so all replies will now go to my bump thread. I shall see what happens.
It is great to know they give this option and it will help. It's nice to know Gaia does support bump threads.

My only two complaints about it:
1) It should've been don LONG ago (like so much else aquarium people have asked for)...
AND
2) I wish the reply would go directly to a box, instead of having to open u pa 'Reply' click. This is cause so many players are so impatient to move along to the next tank/glow that even one more iteration of clicking will dissuade them from bumping/posting.
