In general, Noah's personality is fairly easy to peg. Where trainers are concerned, Noah has a great deal of respect for them, as well as officers and other professions. The only professions he doesn't really hold with any high esteem is competing, and that's really less of a feeling that it's unimportant, and more of a feeling that it's something he grew up with, so it's not as... special.
Breeding is something he holds very dear to his heart, and the Pokemon he breeds are like family, even the pogeys who get given away. Because of this, he is very strict in his method of picking whom to give his pokemon to. While he is typically seen as a kind, caring sort of breeder, by slighting him once you will find yourself on his black list. He has a problem with holding grudges, and trying to convince him otherwise is useless thanks to his inherently stubborn nature. He tries to maintain a professional air while dealing with potential buyers, but it's not something he employs everywhere, so it isn't that unusual to see him relaxing around towns or chilling in the backroom at competitions while waiting for his Mom.◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ And now, we'll take a look at the lineage of Noah Darling.
Noah was born to Claudia Darling and her long-time beau, Chaz North. Because they weren't married, and Claudia has no intentions of becoming Claudia North, Noah was given his mother's maiden name, making him Noah Darling.
As a child, Noah travelled with Claudia, completing his school work via a home program that allowed him to travel with his Mommy for competitions. He saw Chaz ocassionally, but Chaz was never treated as his father; only one of Mommy's friends. He now knows that Chaz is his father and regularly visits the man, but as a child, he was a Mommy's boy. He grew up around competitions, and according to the press following Claudia Darling, it seemed he would grow into his Mommy's footsteps.
And he nearly did. Noah began to compete at the age of thirteen with a vulpix, as well as a few of Mommy's pokemon, but something just didn't fit. He didn't get the thrill that she did when competing; it was more fun for him to watch than participate. But he did it anyway, competing in half-hearted competitions and never getting any ribbons for his lackluster performances.
When Noah was eighteen, he decided to take a sabbatical. He went to stay with Chaz on his ranch for a few weeks, and Chaz, a breeder himself, showed Noah how to care for a few pokemon. It was there that Noah got bit by the breeding bug. It was exciting, just to think of the prospects, let alone see the wonder of a Pogey egg cracking open to reveal the special little guy inside.
Noah told Claudia what he wanted to do, and while she was disappointed that she wouldn't be part of the Mommy-Son team, she wished him well. For a while, Noah worked with Chaz on his ranch, but recently with the news of Zatao and the great mystery of The Fog, he's put his breeding career on hold to see what this new world would open up in the ways of opportunity.◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ OOC Information
