I enjoy fanfiction. Good fanfiction. I haven't read too much Fable Fanfiction in the past, but I'd be interested in any suggestions, and also, I'd like to shamelessly promote mine, that I haven't updated in forever because my muse left me, but I still enjoy when people read it and I get feedback. Here I will also shamelessly promote my own fan fiction. smile The PreludeIt's about my Fable II hero, Maegan Monroe, and her life as Queen of Albion, years after the events within the game. The point is to bridge the second and third games, and thus have an explanation for as to how Logan came to the trone, and how the hero of Fable III gets to where she is in the beginning of the game. I've only gotten two chapters up so far, and I'm working on a third. This is far from being complete, but it's getting there. razz

For lack of a better word, I write crack. But I like to think it's quality crack, the kind you'd pay top dollar for. Any Fire Emblem fans in here? I did this a few years back: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=11149487(Note: Images abound. However, since years have passed since I did this, many an image has been taken down by those selfish, jealous hosts.) http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=12520567(More recent, but I can't say for sure if the images have improved. Might have been better for me to host all images on Photobucket, but meh.) http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=16298993(This one never finished. At this point, I got tired of it and just stopped. But the beginning's there, and it's a good bit. All the images are still there, too! With one exception. Again, I blame the hosters, depriving a generation of perfectly good fanfiction.) As for Fable fanfiction, however, I remain inexperienced. Plus I'm not really a fanfiction writer anymore--I've just come to prefer RPs. EDIT: Btw, I wouldn't bother joining the guild that stuff's on if I were you. I quit about a month ago because with too few exceptions, their Crew suck. Plus it's nowhere near as active as it used to be.

And yeah, Sir Walter Beck has really grown on me. From what I understand by watching videos and reading articles, he's incredibly loyal, and I wanted to illustrate that in my fic. smile I'm glad it worked. xd

Everyone thinks they're a writer but nine times out of ten they're just terrible. It gets worse when people actually enjoy it. Also, I've never read a good fanfiction and believe me, I've read quite a few. That being said, I don't feel like going out of my way just to read these.

-NDG-CaptainL-Man just out of curiosity, have any of you read my fic? I'd appreciate any feedback possible. You've got a good start, but let me give you a little advice: it's not a good idea to break the fourth wall. It takes the reader out of your story, rather than make them feel as if they are in it. Also, I wouldn't start ranting at a grandkid in the middle of a sentence, because it makes the reader lose focus on what you were originally trying to say. I understand that you're trying to be funny and bring across your character's sense of humor, but there are other ways to do that, such as through dialog with another character, or the main char's actions throughout the story. I've made the same mistakes before, and it didn't turn out so well. And I would suggest a good beta reader to check your use of past and present tense. I do like your initial idea, though. It definitely shows some great potential. If you need a beta reader, I'd be happy to help. I am a grammar fanatic, but a nice one, and I can also point you in the right direction when it comes to story and general writing technique. Just send me a pm if you're interested.

Thing is, the story is being told through the eyes of someone listening to the old man talk. But if it's more distracting than anything else, I thank you for your input.

I know it is, Captain, but it really is distracting. I understand where you're coming from, though. Like I said, I've done the same thing.
