How Will You Welcome In NaNo?
I will be staying up until Midnight and start crunching out words then.
I will be going to bed like usual and starting when I wake up on the 1st.
  Eh. Dunno. Whatever.

Discuss Nanowrimo this year! Anyone have an outline down yet? Who's participating?

I might, I might not. It depends on how things are going with the manuscript I'm trying to get out right now (revamping is a pain).

But I do have a paranormal mystery-type story I've been wanting to write for awhile. Might try to do something with it. Nano's more something I do to get the ideas going, rather than to actually sit down and write a whole 50k book.

But that's just me.

Hmm, I'm not prepared for something like that right now. I have trouble focusing on anything other than my current novel. Next year, perhaps.
I might actually try for 50k words of my novel during Nanowrimo. That would be at least half the book, if not a little more.

I fully intend to participate again this year (it'll be my fifth year, I think). I don't know what I'll be writing just yet, although I do have an idea budding. It's just a shame that my creative writing workshops are in November too! I'll have a lot of work on my plate.

Still, I'm excited. =D

Nano's more something I do to get the ideas going...

That.
But I'll try anyway. I've made mental outlines (and a few physical ones) for the past year ever since I failed last time. It's hard to juggle actual school work and NaNo. School is top priority, but it's worth a shot. This will be my second attempt. At least it'll help get my stories pumping out and onto...computer generated word documents sweatdrop

Just curious, has anyone actually won NaNo here? (Yes, yes, we're all winners, I know, but you know what I mean.)

Although I can't actually compete, I am going to use nano as an excuse to pump out a word count. smile

Ritwock: I've 'won' NaNo every year but the first year I tried (because I didn't really get it back then XD). In fact, the least amount I've written during November has been about 70k. I love to just... let it pour out.

I'm doing NaNo this year, for the first time. I've even roped my teacher into doing it with me. He's ADHD though, so I don't know how far he'll get.

I don't have an outline yet, though I do have a somewhat extensive setting, and several characters to mess with. I can't decide what I want to do, whether to write the story from one character's perspective (it'd still be in third person though, I think) or change characters every few chapters.

That is, assuming I get that far.

I'm sure going to try!
It'll be my third year. I won the last two. :3
I don't know what I'm going to write yet, though. Ha.

I'll be doing NaNo this year as well.

My second year, I won last year; hopefully I will again. (If the plot is willing.)

This is my 4th year doing NaNo. I've won the last three years in a row.

So this year I'm going to be a massive stress bomb of chaos. School just got ten times harder now that I'm in my program, which is a time-sucking void of (fun) doom. I have no idea how I'm going to do it, but I might implode by the end.

Anyway, I'm currently attempting to sit down and sketch out a plot.

Good luck everyone who's participating!

I plan to every year but then I'll already be working on a story once the month starts.

Levi: Well, NaNo kind of changed the rules last year so that you could still technically participate if you've already started your project before November. It's not as much fun, but they're not so strict about it, yanno? =P

PMS, is it a rule that you can have previously written work as long as it's updated? I mean, it can't be the same word-for-word that you've written before? Or something like that?
