Woo! Finally graduated college!
Presently I hold a degree in Anthropology with a focus in Archaeology, an interest in Paleoethnobotany, and a minor in music.
...You know what? It's Gaia. Screw the big damn words.
1) I studied people, but didn't take psych or soc.
2) I play in the dirt for a living. THE WORLD IS MY SANDBOX!
3) I enjoy plants. Plants don't fight back with illogical and nonfactual arguments.
That being said, I love--repeat, LOVE--culture. And by that I mean old world and foreign culture. I have a love of the eastern world, with an interest in Mongolia. I am presently unable to read, write, or speak in any Eastern language, but I would very much like to learn either Mandarin or Cantonese in the future.
I started as a musician. Flute has always been my primary instrument, though I'm capable of playing any woodwind with the exception of clarinet. I don't know what it is. I just can't do it.
Yes, I went to band camp. No, that doesn't happen.
I am also a writer, one who often lurks in the Writers' and Original Prose forums. I will happily engage in any kind of discussion in regards to the craft, provided it stays a -discussion- and doesn't turn into a pissing contest. Actually, that's true of most things. I love a good discussion. I will also happily critique a piece, provided it holds my interest long enough (this is surprisingly difficult to do, I've found).
I have only ever succeeded at NaNoWriMo once.
I am not a published author. Yet.
I am a gamer. With a deep love of RPGs. Because Zelda and every Final Fantasy before XI was amazing. And I will argue that VI is the best to the death, VII fans. You and your Mamma's boy of a Big Bad. rolleyes
I also love me my anime/manga/light novels. Pandora Hearts because she keeps going in directions I would never expect, and DRRR because Volume 9 was a total flippin' mind-f***.
What can I say? I'm a nerd.
