History: Born and raised in a rather well-to-do family in Marsitas Hold, Crystal had a fairly easy childhood and grew to appreciate the finer things in life. The young girl was gifted with a lovely singing voice, and after developing a love and interest for music was able to convince her parents to allow her to train at the Harper hall. The journey was a long one, but it was well worth it when she arrived and started her training.
After studying for over five Turns at the hall, the teen decided to take a small break to visit her family. After all, if she was to keep progressing in her field as she was, it was likely that she would not find an opportunity to see them for a much longer time yet. During her visit home, a blue Search dragon singled her out, and after some deliberation she agreed to go with him.
Life in the Weyr… was quite hard at first. Crystal was not unaccustomed to chores and busy schedules, but she
was unaccustomed to dealing with so much manual labor. Despite the struggles and discomfort however, she held her tongue, determined to do just as well in this as she had done in her Harper training.
At 17 Turns of age she Impressed to the lovely Argenth, and things have only continued to go well from there.
Description: Crystal is fairly tall for a Pernese woman, standing at a full 5’7”. Her long, straight, black hair is angled and falls nearly to the center of her back. Her skin is moderately fair, and her eyes are a striking shade of royal blue. While having developed strength since becoming a dragonrider, her figure is rather shapely, with curvy hips and a thin waistline. When not busy working, she is always well dressed and well-kept.
Personality: Much like her dragon, Crystal thinks very highly of herself and of her heritage. She and Hers are beautiful, and she knows it. The fact that her dragon does not give chase in Flights is more than fine with her—she is not one to lay around with just any man (or woman for that matter).
And while she knows that she and Hers are the best, she is not one to flaunt it. She has more class than that after all. No, she keeps her pride and vanity mostly to herself, but there is no denying that she is a very confident woman.
Her Harper training has allowed her to make pleasant conversation when it is necessary, but most times she prefers to merely observe the crowd from within, listening about for interesting tidbits here and there. And while she may not be easy (it is doubtful that she has yet to sleep with anyone actually), she can still be flirtatious when she wishes. That is mostly just a game though, and as of yet she has not found any man that she is truly interested in.
Other: Crystal is an ambitious sort, and is not content with mediocrity. Had she not been Searched, she would still be training very hard to rank up in her craft. And as a dragonrider now she is not content to remain a mere wingrider. It may take much time, but she fully intends to reach the rank of wingleader one day with her dragon. Although for the time being perhaps wingsecond might be a more appropriate initial goal.
Also, no matter how despicable it may be to her, Crystal never leaves a given task undone.
