ethrical || Son of a dojo master means son of a strict, albeit nice, dad. Hiroyuki was always taught to be good towards others and to always bow, hence he does it without really knowing.
unworldy || Hiroyuki is secluded to his small town and doesn't get out very much. He has very little interest in pop culture and knows next to nothing.
athletic || Sport-aholic & a dojo instructor, what do you expect?

The little Scizor was adopted after his mother abandoned him. Hiroyuki was the youngest of six sisters and was always surrounded by them. Throughout his entire childhood, he was blessed with love and kindness from his family and he never could have felt luckier. He played many sports and was a star player on his baseball team. Life was everything that it could have been. Hiroyuki went to theme parks every summer such as PokeWorld all the time. What a wonderful life, hm?
Besides his very typical and happy family life, Hiroyuki was the heir to the family dojo. His family was very traditional in choosing the male heir. He may have not been a blood son, but her certainly was family and they made sure he would always know it.

In middle school, Hiroyuki was captain of the baseball and soccer teams. He was already a black belt and was pursuing MMA and swimming. Any sport with constant motion was a calling to the boy, but things like golf and pool turn him away instantly. His best friend and rival would constantly play against him in everything. It was a perfect friendship since it forced both of them to improve.
Hiroyuki was becoming an excellent student for his father, although his discipline was sometimes questionable. The boy did as he pleased and at times he chose. Nevertheless, there was pride to be had in such a prodigy.

Hiroyuki's rival and friend was jealous as he became better at all of their games. So, the boy asked local thugs to beat his friend. He knew he was a hemophiliac and had a high chance of dying from it, but he didn't care anymore. All he wanted was to be the best.
In the middle of their senior year, Hiroyuki had several sport scholarships lined up, so his so-called friend called for a celebration. The two were in a theater when the attack occurred. His friend feigned unconsciousness while he was beaten and bruised. The boy was overwhelmed and tried to fight back, but the thugs used cheap tricks to keep him out, so instead, Hiroyuki screamed and people rushed out and in. He passed out, not knowing whether he would live or die.
Hiroyuki awoke in the hospital and was visited by the same friend every day until graduation. Although, Hiroyuki passed by doing school assignments from there, he was not able to attend graduation and his sport scholarships were revoked when it became clear that the boy was traumatized. Sports were not a good option for him anymore. Bitter, Hiroyuki looked to his friend to console him, but instead the boy revealed that he had called for the attack and that he was glad Hiroyuki would never have the same chances as he did again. The youth blazed with fury.
After this, Hiroyuki exceeded doctor's expectations and made a full recovery from his beating. He was determined and full of fire and brimstone. There wasn't a soul who could comfort him and so he pursued the art of swordsmanship with more vigor than he had as a child. He used to only think of it as a necessary lesson, but now it was another way to improve himself and move away from his foolish trusting self.

Hiroyuki is on the verge of owning the dojo since his parents are retiring. Although he has been encouraged to attend college, the man refuses still. He has also been told to marry, but cares little for that engagement in anyway possible.
