 Here comes the sun...☆ LIBELLA & HIROYUKI ☆

It's early in the morning in this sleepy city. The citizens wipe their sand-crusted eyes and wipe the ale from their mouths. There is daylight. The night is over and finally, everyone must get back to work and go about their daily business. It's a day like any other, but that never meant ordinary things would happen. Hiroyuki, a young Scizor gijinka with blazing red hair and bold yellow eyes, sauntered the streets like he knew, but truthfully, he didn't. He could hardly figure out where he was. All in all, Hiroyuki was a country boy. What could possibly wait for him in a place like this?
A spunky Flygon girl named Libella was also in the city at this time. She wasn't likely to just wait for the city to wake up. There was a lot to do and summer was wasting away. This wasn't the time to sleep or relax! The teen was filled with vim and vigor that could easily wind the businessmen she passed. How would the green-clad girl do when she met the happy samurai she met on her way?

It was a day to be out. Out far from home and for what reason? Hiroyuki's sick father needed medicine from the city, of course. The young man sighed. It was a pain to go there even for errands like this. Perhaps he'd find something fun to do? Bah! Hardly! This place was a smog-ridden monster with muggers and attackers everywhere. Hiroyuki clutched the sheath of his sword right where it met the hilt. He looked around suspiciously at every passerby, letting his bound back red hair bounce about. The Scizor's pace was swift, but he was so preoccupied watching people that he got distracted. He had the medicine now, but he was lost.
What is this place? Hiroyuki was baffled by the entire atmosphere. He didn't have the slightest idea where he could have been. Every person he asked for help either ignored him or angrily rejected him. It almost seemed as if every person's hand and ear were attached to cell phones. Girls laughing and exchanging conversations while pressing away at the little keys and buttons. Click. Tap. Tap. Tap. Click. Horns were blown for the smallest offense and people shouted so loudly, Hiroyuki could barely stand it. The whole mess of the place made his head wind around and around. He stepped away from the street and leaned against a wall. His eyes moved upward to the sky. I'm lost. I'm lost. Ah...why couldn't Naomi get the medicine instead," he thought imagining one of his lazy older sisters sitting at home reading magazines.
Hiroyuki decided giving asking for help one last stab and approached a girl with bright green hair. He hadn't chosen her for any reason but that she wasn't on her phone or a businessman. "Excuse me," he bowed as per custom of his family and culture, "Would you happen to know where I am?"

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Another day meant another journey for Libella. Grabbing a small bookbag and a map in case she got lost in the woods this time, Libella look around to make sure she didn't forget anything. In all the mess Libella didn't feel like cleaning, Libella assumed she got everything, and left her apartment. Today she didn't have to worry about schoolwork or visitation from paranoid parents so she felt she should spend this day exploring. For Libella, this would be an amazing day, and she knew it because the sun was out, and she had her shiny goggles on in case she would need any underwater or desert exploring...like there was any in this trashy area.
Moving to the city wasn't her choice. Sadly, it was the closest location to her college but it was nothing like Egypt or Poland. Here, there was just nothing to explore. Sure the city would be fun but it was so industrialized, everything just looked the same after a while. That's how she found a map to outside the city parameters but it required her to go to the other side of town. Sighing at her slight misfortune, Libella continued to walk until she saw a guy with red hair. Well that's not normal. Maybe this is my chance to change fortune. When the boy stopped in front of her and bowed, she knew her future was becoming brighter and brighter. Hm...well this guy seems to be lost. Weird, but understandable in this nasty town "Hi! Well you're in Saffron City...where else would you be? Or do you mean the street address?" Hoping the boy was into exploring and not just a lost tourist, Libella waited for any response.

Saffron city? Ah, right, I got off the train somewhere around here." Hiroyuki smiled, somewhat cluelessly, as he thought about this. "Thank you very much. I don't come to the city all that often quite honestly." He laughed shyly. His Japanese-accented voice hinted that he came from a traditional family. It was light, yet so apparent that even if his face was hidden anyone would say he was Japanese. The girl, now that she was facing him, was dressed rather peculiarly, though he couldn't say he was dressed down either. She had a fully green-decked outfit and had a matching set of bright green goggles with red-tinted lenses. All the other people on the street merely wore uniforms, jeans and a t-shirt, or other summer-y clothes. Aha, I wonder what it'd be like if I wore my samurai uniform? I would only look more like a country boy." His mind had wandered, but only briefly because he spoke again, "Would you happen to know what happens around here? This place is awfully dull." Hiroyuki was completely unaware of the nightlife that existed in the same town.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Listening to how the boy seemed to talk and dress, Libella could obviously tell he was an outsider. Maybe since he's an outsider, he'll be more interesting in exploring with me Compared to the fickle characters of this city, Libella obviously could tell he wouldn't fit. She barely did either, so that why she felt she had to tell him about the better parts of the outer city. "Well there is not much here in this city. Everyone in this city is more worried about appearances. That's why I go outside the city...there is so much more to explore than one would expect. If you want to see, I have a map"
Pulling out a map to show the boy, Libella realized she didn't even tell him her name yet. "Oh! By the way, my name is Libella. Nice to meet you...?" Extending her hand to hear his name, Libella waited. Libella hoped that hte boy would be willing to go adventuring with her today.

Hiroyuki blushed at forgetting his manners. Ack, makes me glad dad's not here, otherwise that's a lecture on ethics for me. The Scizor bowed in apology. "Very sorry. My name is Hiroyuki Aoi, but you can just stick to Hiro." In the same moment, however, Hiroyuki's bag slipped down his back and up his neck to smack his head. "Augh!" Instantly, Hiroyuki landed on the ground and looked like he was bowing even lower as if he needed forgiveness, although, instead of getting more embarrassed he laughed. "Whoops. Sorry." He pushed off the ground and stood up brushing the dirt from his knees. With a grand grin on his face he took her hand and shook it firmly. "The feeling's mew-too-al." Hiroyuki said finally, although he mis-pronounced "mutual".

Slightly chuckling at Hiroyuki's misfortune and accent, Libella fully expanded her map to show him. Pointing at the map to show where they were, Libella explained to Hiroyuki where exactly Saffron City was. ]"But as you can see, there is so much grassland and no named spaces which need to be filled in, and that's where I go. Actually, the one with the red circle is where I'm going now. If you're not in a rush to go anywhere, the invitation to come with me is still open"
Pulling the map back up so that Hiroyuki could make his decision, Libella heard her stomach growl. Pulling out a sandwich to eat, Libella waited for the Hiroyuki's response.

A little embarrassed, Hiroyuki smiled and nodded to say he was fine. The map was so large and strange. He was amazed by the expanse of the area being so...empty. Where he lives every inch was occupied by something. A vendor, a dog, an attraction...there wasn't space for anything. He stared deeply at the map before she pulled it back, though he vaguely heard her invite him to explore a place. Hm...dad always said I tend to follow strangers too much, but I do know her name, so I'm safe. Besides, green is peaceful. Hiroyuki's nonsensical logic worked its way into his mind and he decided that this was an opportunity to get some serious life experience. Suddenly, the Scizor was a little more serious and determined looking. He was always a bit silly, but he had his moments where he was truly a passionate and smart guy. Few, but still there. "Seems like a plan!" Hiroyuki shouted this with a bit too much enthusiasm and must have taken a little longer than he wanted because the girl had half finished her sandwich.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "Yay! Let's go! Putting away her empty sandwich bag, Libella turned and started walking away from the city. Turning around she led Hiroyuki out of city into more grassy plains. The two walk down a path until they reached a darkened forest. Knowing that this was new territory, Libella pulled out her map and sat down. Finding where she placed her red marker, Libella put her bookbag down and shuffled through until she found blue pen. Outlining the path they took from the city to the forrest, Libella turned to Hiroyuki to explained what she was doing.
"You see Hiroyuki, what I'm doing her is marking down my paths so I don't get lost. I've gotten to the map so now I can assume the distance in miles compared to this certain line. See here, we walked about .7 miles which mean that it was a 7-12 minute walk depending on how slow or fast we walked. I sorta wish I bought a watch so I would know." Shrugging her misfortune off, Libella rolled the map up and began their journey into the forest.┗━━━━━━━━━┛

Hiroyuki's head spun. He had no idea what Libella had just explained to him. He never used maps, his father had always said that you need to "know your surroundings". Maps were for tourists and directions were for the lost. The Scizor, still smiling rather stupidly, nodded pretending to know what exactly she meant. All he could tell was that the city was behind them and there was a great, vast forest sitting in front of them. There wasn't anything to surround them now except the tall grasses, green brush, and creepers that hung loosely from skyscraper trees. Still, this was certainly an adventure, though, he did have his share of hikes and travels via foot that he could speak of.
Libella seemed immersed in her planning, but drawing on the map wasn't as helpful as making notes of where he had been. Mentally, Hiroyuki memorized particular grooves in trees and rammed his foot into the dirt below him. Even in the dark, I can feel this. I'll know we're close if I leave it here. Now he might be able to help her get back, but who knows, maybe the map would be more help than he knew. Libella had trailed ahead of him as he was lost in thought, so he jogged to catch up with her.
"So," Hiroyuki started as they marched up the grassy path in the new sunlight, "What made you decide to go this way exactly?" He was clearly curious. The city was strange enough, but now an unfamiliar forest? This was a lot for the samurai's little brain.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "Hm...well I've explored everywhere around this city except this one place. I've wanted to go here for a very long time but I never could since college was always tossing years of work at me. But what do you expect? It is a college" Shrugging the idea of college off for these few hours, Libella continued to lead her group. So far there was not much to see but to make sure to remember where she was, often she would stop at a random tree and leave a little leaf mark in the wood similar to her necklace. She felt slightly guilty for defiling nature to help her but she also knew people got lost easily in the places she explored so her signs help people get out. That was one of the reason she kept exploring. In a way she became the explorer who always found things out first so that city folks could explore a little before their hearts gave out.
"I'm glad we're going through this forest. There has been a lot of stories about stupid city folks who got lost in this forest. Stupidly they've been destroying trees to get out, and so by me leaving little markers on the trees, hopefully there will be no more deforestation. Or maybe I'll just tell everyone it's too dangerous so they can mark this place off except for true explorers. You know, I have said that before especially in my favorite places since I've seen people actually litter in a forest...I mean who would do that? Does trees come and leave leaves all over your house? Gosh, city folks are so unjust sometimes!" Ranting a little to the boy who she hoped was listening, Libella put her map in her bag in fear of losing it. Walking to a fork in the grassy road, Libella turned to Hiroyuki. "Well since this is your first time in the forest, which way do you wish to go?" Libella walked up to Hiroyuki's face and grinned.

Hiroyuki listened as Libella tittered spiritedly. She certainly loved nature and it made him smile for a good reason, well, for once. He was always sort of dazed or staring off into space, but now there was something to grin about. At the mention of college, Hiroyuki's brain bent. After school he never wanted to step back into a classroom. He hated the last months of school more than anything, yet despite the bitterness that swam in his heart Hiroyuki chose to look forward. It was just like walking in this forest. It was the unknown, but there was bound to be something exciting coming.
Libella had changed the subject to city dwellers. I wonder where she's from...maybe not all the people living there are this bad. Everyone's good deep down, but we all have a funny way of showing it. It's a good intention just gone wrong. The lovable idiot, instead of saying anything intelligent, buttoned up what he thought. Hiroyuki's teachers always said he was very mediocre and should have been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. When the hell did being a daydreamer suddenly become a disease? Hiroyuki was just a dazed kid who didn't care about school, but he showed up and did the work. Teachers should be fired for insulting kids like that.
A snap of reality made Hiroyuki blink. Libella had a warm inviting smile stretched on her glowing face. "Uhh..." The Scizor had been in deep thought and was engrossed in what she had said earlier that he had to take a good look around before deciding where they could go. A twisted tree trunk with thin vines pointed east along a busy path. "That way!" He called out with too much enthusiasm.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "Okay! Will do" Libella turned to her right and continued down the path that Hiroyuki decided. As they walked, all they heard was the sounds out the woods. Never much of a quiet soul, Libella started a new conversation to break the silence. "So do you explore a lot or is this one of your first time?" Libella decided this time to keep walking instead of stopping since they hadn't cover much ground due to the constant stops. Walking on, Libella knew that it would take some time to get a response. She saw that everytime she talked, he almost had a dazed look on him. It was cute to her, especially since she thought all foreigners was like her...but apparently not. She shrugged off the culture difference and pull out her map.
Looking at her map real quick, she marked down just how long she thought they were walking since she wasn't sure when they would leave the forest for a while. She also marked that this route included a lot of vines which she knew she might trip on if she was a novice explorer. Seeing Hiroyuki follow her with no trouble either, she answered her own question. There was so much about the boy she didn't know and since he wasn't from this country, she wanted to know more. Something about other cultures always interested her especially since she lived in two extremely different cultures in her life time.

It was just the two of them on the path now. Sounds echoed back and forth between the trees. Were the plants singing a merry traveling song as passerbys went?m Hiroyuki was completely curious about the entire situation. Libella asked him a question, which turned his attention away from the woodlands again.
"Kind of. People say I'm a 'wandering samurai'." He chuckled boyishly. "I don't really get why, but apparently I'm also the 'town idiot' and the 'Mr. NiceGuy'. 'Dunno why." He had a pleasant smile plastered to his lips. Nothing perturbed him when it came to insults. People would always be cruel, but there would also be very kind people. "I walk around my town every day if I'm not stuck with chores at the dojo. You could say I'm a country guy." Hiroyuki figured he was a dull person and apologized for no reason, "Ah, sorry I'm not that interesting..." Still, he grinned and followed her. "So, what do you think we'll find here?"

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "You are pretty interesting, at least to me. I'm always interested in foreigners. Why else would I be going to college if I enjoy exploring? Well I guess you didn't know. I really don't care what I find. I just explore the place to find all the good stuff in this place. But...let me look at this map and perhaps I'll see something" Reopening the map again, she saw that the area they were exploring was near a place where she found a waterfall so she assumed there must be one here. "Hm...well there might be a waterfall in the middle, or we might run into an animal habitat. Since stupid city folks kick animals out of their areas, these are the only places they can go. I've run into a few but trust me...the worst I left with is scratches on my arms. But then again I was a track runner. But less about me...so are you Japanese or something? I heard you work at a dojo"
Libella turned to look at him but seeing a bright light come through the forest, she hurried to go through and see what it was. Looking around she saw a big empty plain in the forrest. It was still cover by trees but this would be a great place to relax if tired. She was nowhere near but she knew the boy might grow tired soon, since they had been walking for nearly a half hour. Finding a tree stump, Libella made sure to check for ants before plopping her butt on the log. "So I say we relax for a few minutes so I can piece together my map and you can relax if you need to." Hopping on top of the stump, Libella pulled out her map and began scribbling in her notes. Sitting indian style, Libella assumed this would be when Hiroyuki would eat or whatever he does whenever he relax.
