   - "But...music is the one thing that I can stand."
Silas loves music, it's one of the few things that he actually enjoys. He could play his guitar for hours, and has, or just sing or hum to himself. Music is one of his few sanctuaries from the world and it's chaos.
- "...shut up. ++"
Silas doesn't mind loud sounds, as long as they're pleasant. Crowds roaring, music blaring, but he hates loud conversations/complaining. He has about zero tolerance for other people's 'stupidity' and will definitely let you know.
- "What did you say!?"
This Vaporeon has a bit of a temper, and a rather short fuse. When he does lose his temper he's not afraid to yell or get into a fist fight, it's something he's actually used to doing. So if you manage to get him really angry, watch out for your face. One quick way to make him mad is to tease him about his height. He knows he's on the short side for a guy but poking fun at him for it is a fast way to get a fist or a raised voice thrown at you.

Lastly, Silas is a bit of a 'quitter'. If something seems too hard, complicated, or risky, he'll just turn around and go back to whatever he was doing, or find something else to do. He's a bit lazy, and trying so hard for something or someone else other than music or himself doesn't seem worth the effort to him. He won't push himself for someone else's sake.

[ Silas in his street gang days & As a Child with his Mother ]
Silas moved around a lot while growing up. His parents fought off and on but stayed together, 'for Silas' was their excuse. They thought getting a divorce and making him choose between the two of them would 'ruin' Silas's childhood, when really, their arguing was what made him feel like he couldn't turn to either of them. He learned to kind of 'bottle up' his feelings, which finally exploded at the age of 14. The only thing that kept him stable through the years was his love for music.
The Vaporeon joined a street gang at his third middle school. Ironically, his parents had finally decided to stay in that house, much too late to change their son. Silas grew his hair out, dressed in more ratted street clothes, and avoided his parents more than he had before, they rarely saw him anymore. He'd go out late at night, trash neighborhoods, harass people on nightly walks or people leaving clubs, it didn't really matter who it was or what they were doing. His weapon of choice was a slim dagger, it suited his small build and speed. He climbed his way through the gang's 'ranks' and soon found himself near the top as a 'second in command'.
Eventually the gang became well known, and so did Silas. His parents tried to help him get out of the gang, but he only shouted back at them in retaliation. The two couldn't understand why he was doing cruel things, going out all the time, especially late at night, dressing like he was, and failing his classes. Silas was a bright boy, but they didn't understand that he had bottled everything up over the years, their arguing, ignoring him. Being in the gang allowed him to release all of that pent up anger and frustration bit by bit, violence had become a bit of a drug to him, and he could no longer control the anger and frustration that he had held in for so many years. His parents gave up, reluctantly, and let him do as he pleased.
At some point, the Vaporeon started being viewed as a 'threat' by the gang leader. Silas's reputation was starting to outnumber his 'boss's', and the man didn't like that. He didn't know that Silas had actually grown emotionally attached to him. To Silas, he was someone he considered a friend, maybe his only real friend. And, eventually, that 'friend' betrayed him. The gang boss set him up and abandoned him during a 'turf war' between two street gangs, and Silas was wounded deeply, both physically and emotionally.
From that point on, Silas cut his hair and dropped out of the gang, turned to his studies and closed himself off from everyone. He felt like he couldn't trust others like that again. The only thing that remained the same was his now short temper. It was unhinged and would stay that way.
Now Silas attends college, and is a guitarist in a local band, his love for music is still as strong as ever. He stole a guitar at some point in his 'gang member' days and has kept it ever since, becoming quite good at playing it.
