News Bulletin July 1
Talia has gone missing! Vivina and Sephayr have been drafted into searching for her in the canyon. I do hope they find some clues!

Vivina's 8 years old and that means a birthday party. I'm planning to throw a party for her ((OOC: happened ICly, but never recorded gah I'm lazy...)). She'll be surprised with the gift I have for her. Wonder if the others know...I'll call them up just in case <3
Also, her dragon has hatched and was promptly delivered to our door this morning. The feathered dragon tackled Vivina down. Guess it was happy to see her. Now, for a name. Wonder what she'll name it...

Found out that she had lice. I had to throw all her dolls and toys away and clean out her clothes and carpet. I still have half a bottle left, but I doubt that'd be enough if some rashes come back. Vivina also went and found treasure at the St. Patrick's day treasure hunt! She is really happy about the new top she got as well as the all gold pieces. I'm also expecting a family reunion soon to introduce all of my family and friends to Vivina. Lots of planning to do...

Oh dear, Vivina seems to have a bunch of rashes forming. I've contacted the doctor and set up an appointment for her. I hope that this isn't anything too serious...

Vivina grew! She looks too cute for her own good! Her glasses really match her and so does her clothes! She has an Amphithere egg. Hrm...interesting....
March 7th
Well my birthday has passed and didn't enjoy it much as everyone seemed to have forgotten it. Vivina and the other household residents celebrated (excluding Dan and the twins). Vivina has been reading frequently and not being too social. I need her to get up and meet new friends! Must I drag her?

Vivina has grown quite a lot! It is almost her first month here, yet she still needs friends. I heard there's a new child in the vicinity and that is was a bat. Sounds very interesting. Vivina should check it out soon...
January 8, 2006
On the 7th, I recieved Vivina as a reward for participating in some New Years event at D-Corp. After that, well, I can't really say much about how I feel. Mainly because I can't really describe it. When I first saw Vivina, I immediately knew she was going to be an adorable child. After the first night with her, I can say that she's very energetic. I feel that we're gonna get to know each other very closely.

Background summarized: Et, full name Etira Devon Valerns Ourellius, is a very active person. Ever since she was young, she had a boyish built - flat chested, boyish personality, toned muscles - thus causing her to become a tomboy. She would cut her hair short, dress in male clothes, and even hang out with boys, whom have no idea that she is actually a girl. At the age of 18, she decided to go out into the world and see what life had to offer. She traveled to an open region where a lot of interesting things seem to happen, according to the residents around the area. She read an article in the newspaper one day and saw that there was to be a special New Years party for a corporation called D-Corp. Obviously, she didn't know what D-Corp was, but she could never let a party go by. She visited the main building where the party was taking place and made herself comfortable. She saw several D-techs, or so they called themselves, casually chatting along with other people from around the area. The D-Tech with the paper bag on his head creeped her out and so she avoided him. The rest she just observed without comment. When the main event was to be held, she stood up and went over to the small crowd around the host. Everyone was to pick a card out of a bag. Each card was to be kissed by a person to reveal a picture of a D-Corp staff member. The first people to reveal each member first are eligable for a raffle in order to get a "special surprise". Et reached into the bag and grabbed a thin, glossy card. She immediately kissed it, though she didn't really enjoy doing it. She waited for a person to appear on the card and when it did, it was D-Tech 048. She handed the card over to the host as fast as she could, but was the fourth person to hand one in. She sighed knowing her chances were slim, but she really wanted to know what the surprise was. She waited until people were done kissing and handing the cards in. Then the host wrote the names of each of the people who qualified for the raffle on the appropriate cards. She shuffled them in the emptied bag and stuck her hand in. Etira trembled in her place and closed her eyes. She waited for a number to be called. "Number 6" Et opened her eyes and shouted in surprise. 6 was her number and she let out a long sigh to get rid of all the remaining stress. She walked up to the host and the host nodded. She told Et to follow her so she did. They went into a back room where Et was told to wait at the bed. She did and a few moments later, the host was back with a small child. When Et got a closer look at her, she noticed that the girl hard very large eyes and a thin membraned layer attached from her hand to her feet. The host explained that this girl has the DNA of a sugar glider and she needed to be taken care of. She gave Et the girl, and instantly, motherly instincts dormant in Et took over and warmly welcomed the child, naming her Vivina since she looked so sweet and loving.

Skills: Since sugar gliders are nocturnal, Vivina can see perfectly in the dark, even if there is no source of light. She can also glide in the air for a short distance, but not too perfectly. She still has trouble landing and timing it correctly.
Disabilities: Due to her being partially nocturnal, her eyes are sensitive to light. If it is dark and it turns very bright quickly, she will become temporarily blinded. Sunny days don't effect her much. It is just the sudden transition from dark to light.

D-Corp Amphitere InfoFrom 'Dragonology' The Amphithere is a Dragon species without legs and is basically depicted as a feathered serpent with wings. The most widely known of these creatures is the Aztec god, Quetzalcoatl. They have frilly feathers in a mane around their heads and a huge plume of golden feathers at the tip of their tail. Most of their feathers would be pearly green or blue and shine in the sunlight. Amphitheres can grow upto nearly 50 feet and have a wingspan of double that much. They prefer to live amongst the reeds of lakesides or offshore islands and prey upon large mammals such as llamas and buffalo. From Wikipedia Amphitheres were reputed to possess great wisdom or knowledge, as well as some form of power as a result. One of these was the effect of planting an Amphithere's teeth; once put into fertile ground, an army would spring forth, absolutely loyal to whoever put the Amphithere's teeth into the ground. Amphitheres are also known for their great beauty for most have multi-colored feathers. The eyes are also colorful and have the ability to hypnotize the minds of mortal men.

Daniel Insidious - A housemate of Et's, Dr. Insidious is the mad scientist if this group. He tends to experiment with things in the basement and blow something up at random, most when he least expects it to. He dwells in the basement and NEVER seems to come up anymore. He is known as a sometimes babysitter.
Erika - A good friend of Et. As small as she is, never get Erika upset. She's a witch and can pack a lot of punch in her hexes and jinxes. She visits every month and Vivi simply is drawn to her magic. She wonders how Erika does it, but she only tells Vivi that it's a secret.
Uncle Jesus - The uncle of Vivina (yes, he's a zombie, a story saved for another time). As Etira's younger brother, he tends to force things out of her by -ahem- force, usually gettting his way 90% of the time. Vivina has neutral feelings towards him. The only thing she really likes about him is his constant need for pillow fights.
Syneis and Azaryn Ourellius - They are brothers and are both "synthetic" siblings to Etira, so they don't quite count as siblings stat wise (hence why she married Syn :B). The two boys were made from an accident in Dan's basement lab, so Et has taken her time to call them her younger brothers. Syn and Azy look almost exactly alike - long, white hair of the same style, blood red eyes, and long, sharp vampire fangs. The only difference is that Syn has fox DNA and Azy has dragon DNA. They both have an interest in archaeology and are hardly ever home. A bad father Syn is...
Colin - Etira's son. Well, let's just say Syn and Et got together one night and......yeah. He's a cross between a cat and a fox. How's this possible? DNA fluke, result of D-Kun's experiments on Syn. Colin and Vivina despise each other, although they get along SOMETIMES (when there is a babysitter or Et forces them to play nice)
The Fuzzy Slipper Gang - The main pets of the family. Boy does Et love cats...Vivi enjoys bothering Penkineko-san and admires the handsome Rowan Osric and his little friend, Karif. The gang live in a separate house. A mushroom house at the top of the largest hill xP
Desdemona and Rasephenon - Two demonic Neko Flurries that live in Et's actual house. Des is mischievious and avoids contact with anyone while Ras is tricky, but overall nice to everyone. Vivi is afraid of Des and loves Ras like crazy.
Others - There are a lot more that live in this crazy large house, but Et prefers not to mention all of them @-@;

The house. Pretty much what it looks like (The second story looks much nicer ICly. The options for house bulding was limited ><) The blue car is Et's and the silver car is Dan's. The stairs leading underground is another way into the extremly large basment aka Dan's lab. The back building is a sunroom and greenhouse. A large pool fills up the backyard. The pond on the right is natural and Et keeps some fish in there, although the pond doesn't belong to her or anyone in that fact.
Et's room. As one may observe, this room has books spewed across the floor and notes posted everywhere. Forgetful of many things, she uses notes to remind her of even the most trivial things. The scooter under the shelf is functioning. She never uses it and is only placed there for display nowadays.
Made to look like an open field in the night, Vivina's room is quite amazing. Plenty of pillows and cushions, an entire entertainment set, a PS2, and a computer are some features of her room. A small table in the center of the room has the standard tea party set. In this room, Vivina, who normally acts much like a boy would, melts away back into a girl again - unless she's playing video games on her flat panel wall TV.
A used-to-be library, this is where Sephayr takes residence. A corner of the former library still remains, but Et remodeled the room to make space for a dragon to call a room. It's not much, but the carpet does give Seph quite a cosy place to sleep. The large doors to the room and the ones to the balcony are designed to let the dragon come and go with ease.

Past Events 1-11 ~ Finally got my lazy OC self to RP my IC self and Vivina learning her ABCs....And look! She even colored in the letters in the worksheets! She'll be learning her numbers pretty soon. She also needs to find a friend. Wonder if she'll make any enemies with that bubbly personality of hers...
2-5 & 2-6~ Haha...Vivi's almost one month old. After a few more PD entries. I'll type up her journal entry and then snatch another person to do a PD with. So much to do, so little time! -panics-
3-7~ Work has once again taken the toll on me. I WILL remember to write out the story I had saved from the last trip to town...forgive me journal!
3-10~ Vivina grew! And she is adorable! Let's take care to not get her new dress ruined, shall we? And her egg...it's an interesting choice for a sugar glider. Better take good care of it, Vivina!
3-16~ Vivina has joined D-Scouts in order to be more social and to have fun in general. Also, she's recently started a flying class with Mr. Solon. I really hope she doesn't feel left out for being the only one without true wings. I'm surprised she's not envious as of yet. We'll see in the future if she does...
3-18~ Set up a doctor's appointment for Vivina right after the St. Patrick's day treasure hunt.
4-17~ A month by, Vivina's learned how to glide (and glomp unintentionally). She also has a personality change as she is more into swords and pirates and the sort. Hope she won't steal anything T-T;
4-23~ Yet again she grew! This time her dragon hatched as well and they seem to be enjoying themselves. She will start fencing classes soonish and also start regular classes here at D-Corp. For now, I'll watch Viv mess around with the feathered serpent.

What are Sugar Gliders? The Sugar Glider (Petaurus breviceps) is a small gliding possum native to eastern and northern mainland Australia, New Guinea, and the Bismarck Archipelago, and introduced to Tasmania. Anatomy of a Sugar Glider It is around 16 to 20 cm (6.3 to 7.5 in) in length, with a slightly longer tail, and weighs between 90 and 150 grams (3 to 5.3 oz). The fur is generally pearl grey, with black and cream patches at the base of the pink ears. The tail tapers only moderately and the last quarter of it is black, often with a white tip. The muzzle is short and rounded. Northern forms tend to be brown coloured rather than grey and, as predicted by Bergmann's Rule, smaller.
The most noticeable features of its anatomy, however, are the twin skin membranes called patagiums which extend from the fifth finger of the forelimb back to the first toe of the hind foot. These are inconspicuous when the Sugar Glider is at rest � it merely looks a little flabby, as though it had lost a lot of weight recently � but immediately obvious when it takes flight. The membranes are used to glide between trees: when fully extended they form an aerodynamic surface the size of a large handkerchief.
The gliding membranes are primarily used as an efficient way to get to food resources. They may also, as a secondary function, help the Sugar Glider escape predators like goannas, introduced foxes and cats, and the marsupial carnivores that foxes, cats, and Dingos largely supplanted. The ability to glide from tree to tree is clearly of little value with regard to the Sugar Glider's avian predators, however, in particular owls and kookaburras.
Although their aerial adaptation looks rather clumsy and primitive by comparison with the highly specialised limbs of birds and bats, Sugar Gliders can glide for a surprisingly long distance � flights have been measured at over 50 meters (55 yd) � and steer effectively by curving one or other of the gliding membranes (patagium). They use their hind legs to thrust powerfully away from a tree, and when about 3 meters (3 yd) from the destination tree trunk, bring their hind legs up close to the body and swoop upwards to make contact with all four limbs together. Habitat Sugar Gliders can occupy any area where there are tree hollows for shelter and sufficient food. Their diet varies considerably with both geography and the changing seasons, but the main items are the sap of acacias and certain Eucalypts, nectar, pollen, and arthropods. They are difficult to see in the wild, being small, wary, and nocturnal, but a sure sign of their presence is the stripping of bark and tooth marks left in the soft, green shoots of acacia trees.
In suitable habitats, they are common, often reaching densities of 1 per 1,000 square meters provided that there are tree hollows available for shelter. They live in groups of up to 7 adults, plus the current season's young, all sharing a nest and defending their territory. Adult males mark the territory with saliva and with scent glands, and also mark members of the group with the scent produced by separate glands on the forehead and chest. Visitors which lack the appropriate scent marking are expelled violently. The dominant male mates more frequently with the female of the group than the other males, and does most of the scent marking. When an adult member of the group dies, it is normally replaced: by one of the group's own offspring if female, but by an outsider if male.
In the more temperate south, breeding starts in mid-winter (June or July). In the north, there seems to be no particular breeding season. Two young per female is typical; they remain in the pouch for about 70 days, and after leaving it stay inside the nest for another 40 or 50 days, then begin to forage outside, usually under the care of the mother. The young are normally ejected from the group territory at 7 to 10 months of age. Sometimes they form new groups if an area is vacant, but competition for territory is fierce and not many survive the first months of independent life. In captivity, they may live up to fifteen years.
