I would have to vote for the Song of the Lioness, just 'cause I like getting mugged down Memory Lane. wink

I have a soft spot for "The Song of the Lioness." It has its flaws but they are apart of why I like it so much.

I'm probably going to have to go with Song of the Lioness, because it's the first series of hers I ever read. But The Immortals series is a close second.

I'm gonna go with Protector of the Small. I definitely relate to Kel a lot more than I do to the other characters, and I really like that it shows a lot of the daily life of a page/squire/knight in Tortall.
I even named my live-action roleplay character after Kel. =)

I loved the song of the lioness, but beka coopers a close second. I have to admit tho, the second Beka copper book didn't live up to the first one (missed Rosco) I love these wo character cuz there personalitys are like fire and ice! I love the fights in these books too smile

If I could, I'd pick both Tricksters and the Immortals. But, Immortals came first and I'm a bigger fan of the character development, even though the effort that went into Tricksters was brilliant, for which I will always applaud Pierce.

i really like the Protector of the Small series. mostly because she has to do even more stuff to make herself tougher than the guys. but the Beka Cooper series definitely comes at a closer 2nd.

I'm all for the Immortals Quartet, although I was also very fond of the Circle of Magic books. ^^

I personally prefer the Tricksters series. But the Song of the Lioness is a very close second. heart 3nodding

I have to say Protecter of the Small, because Kel is more real then Alanna or Daine or Aly, who all have awsome powers going for them. Kel is as real as I am, and she works for what she must do, without the Gift.

My favorite series is Beka Cooper. It seems more real than the others somehow.

I have to choose Tricksters, hands-down. I prefer Aly's line of work. Being a spy is much more...dangerous and risky, and because of it, she basically put a Queen in the Copper Isles. That, and I kinda have a thing for George and Nawat. George only because I kinda fell for him in the Song of the Lioness. That and he was a thief. Nawat is a crow, but he's still a good guy. -/////-

i like the immortals series the best, probably because they're the first ones i read. then the song of the lioness quartete because i really like alanna. then the trickster series, because i love the whole rebellion concept which was different from most of her other characters. then the beka cooper series. the the protector of the small. then the will of the empress. then everything else is kind of on the same level for me.

Song of the Lioness. Those were the first books I read, so naturally they hold a special place in my heart. I laugh now at the mere seven chapters in the first book and at the flaws in there [I found in the second that she spelled Alanna as "Allana" once--I think it's interesting to find misspellings and grammatical flaws in books], but I really do love that story the best. I love Alanna, and oh deary, GEORGE.
Hate Jonathan. But that's just me.
And Alanna is wonderfully flawed. Short temper, short person, selfish, a little insensitive, doesn't take love seriously. But I love how Pierce did not make her the typical heroine. Love realistic characters more than anything.
I have not read the 'Daja's book' and so on, nor the Empress ones. Beka Cooper sorta bored me, and Keladry just wasn't as interesting. I think Trickster's and the Immortals were the ones I liked, but nothing compares to the Lioness for me.
