Caffè Sospeso

User Image

..........Caffè Sospeso..........
~a coffeehouse held in suspense~

In a quaint old section of the busy commerce area of Durem lies a triple floored rusty red structure. Elegantly trimmed windows and decorative moulding show this building is anything but new. The deeply tinted windows disguise anything or anyone that may be inside, but one merely has to muster up the courage to push past the painted door to discover the true purpose of this place...

A coffeehouse! Archaic, oversized, and high tech coffee instruments are everywhere; looming over a bar and setting of petite red and black cafe tables and chairs. The backs of these plush chairs are heart-shaped in a very tongue-in-cheek style. Red and black booths are also available near the glass-heavy walls that let a fair amount of light in but show nothing to the public outside.

The central unit of the first floor while unobtrusive seems to contain many red eyes and tiny wings. Devil imps lurk here, but pay the customers no mind when they are off duty. Past the bar a small kitchen-like place is walled off from prying eyes. Up an iron spiral staircase is a luxurious smoking lounge, available for guests if they so please. Red velvet and black leather sofas provide guests with the ultimate in comfort. Another staircase leads further up, but this area seems exclusive and foreboding.

So come in, sling your order at an imp, promply pay your bill, and all will be well in the world of Caffè Sospeso.

..........Coffee..........
~for the discerning connoisseur~

At Caffè Sospeso we mostly serve Coffee Demon brand coffees, the line created and owned by our founder Ms. Irazoki! Coffee Demon brand coffee is famous throughout the Durem underworld for its exotic tastes and beneficial effects.

We currently carry all varieties of Coffee Demon brand coffee and are sure to get any new blends in stock as they become available!

Each 'color' describes a general mood set by each coffee. Milk, cream, and sugar are available for a fee but all coffee is best served black. Use caution with purchase, results may vary!

Crimson
A curious animal-like blend, this coffee is a cure all. Especially works on hangovers. But due to its heavy French style roast, this coffee is for adults only.

Rose
As floral as its name implies, this coffee is a romantic and luxurious half city roast.

Ochre
Ah, delicious cinnamon roast! This nutty blend will surely give your physical strength a boost.

Amber
Who said coffee can't be antibacterial? We don't know, but we do know this American roast packs a fruity and citrus punch.

Verdant
Sink into the mind tonic that is this Continental roast. A grassy green herbal taste gives your mental abilities a kick in the head.

Turquoise
A regular roast need not be boring. The woody qualities of the coffee are very soothing indeed.

Cobalt
Coffee can be a beverage of the rough crowd, and this high roast is no exception. Sour tobacco-like qualities are a nice way to spend the day.

Indigo
The artistic types need not look any farther than this Viennese roast. Earthy aromas make for quite the creativity boost!

Violet
Start your day elegantly with this breakfast roast. This gorgeous and spicy blend encourages happiness to last through the day.

Blanche
Well loved by stars, this New England roast is very popular with many. The caramel taste makes you forget that this is diet coffee!

Noir
As timeless as an aged bottle of alcohol, the qualities of a fine wine can be found in this savory Italian roast. But don't let its pretty face fool you, as the opiate qualities of this blend are quite the soul breaker.

Charcoal
A full city roast with a smoky quality. The blend makes you feel super awareness to what's around you, but watch out for the deadly odor!

Cacao
With a coffee this brown, who needs actual candy? The chocolate-like tastes give you the assurance that you are seeking.

Magic Elvis Fairy Mall

User Image

West of Barton stands a shopping center of a very sparkly and fabulous nature. This is the Magic Elvis Fairy Mall, magical store collection extraordinaire. As a place of commerce operated by fairies, the contents of the stores are constantly changing and updating to suit the tastes of the clientele. Basically, everything that could ever be desired could be bought here. There are also a small grocery store and fresh food market. And of course, the throwbacks to the usual human malls such as a food court and arcade.

User Image

Named after Tír na nÓg's greatest rock star (and hero) Magic Elvis Fairy, the mall also boasts of an extraordinary feat: a permanent portal to the fairy world. While open to the use of the public, it is carefully watched over constantly by elite fae warriors. No one goes in or comes out without their knowledge.

The Magic Elvis Fairy Mall serves not only as a convenient place to buy anything one desires, but also as a cultural and community center for fairies and everyone that seeks fairy knowledge.

Cerberus Sweets

Next door to an illustrious school stands a petite shop. With a light-coloured exterior and delicate windows one would expect this to be a sunny shop of delicious delights. But while the tasty treats within are scrumptious, the stylised dark outline of a three headed flaming dog emblazoned on the prominent front window hints of darker dealing within.

This shop is a business run by the elite students of Anduruna Academy. With their special abilities and unusual home worlds, many marvellous recipes and intriguing ingredients are used to create decadent desserts indeed. While not open consistently or working off of a set menu, the students make quite a bit of business through special orders received during their limited business hours.

The interior is mostly bright whites and lemons. A bakery case doubles as a counter, and is mostly for looks as most orders don't stay in the shop for long. The kitchen is strictly staff only, but presumably is quite large as the customer area really isn't all that big at all.

While the staff is a bit strange, proper etiquette is still required in this place at all times. Perverts especially will be summarily ejected in any method the staff deems appropriate.

To their cherished classy customers however, Cerberus Sweets hopes to be the sop to your personal Cerberus.

Atelier Iske

The mysterious and excessively private workshop of the legendary tinker Irazoki Iske.

In some amount of space between this world and the next, this shop full of strange objects and mysterious machines exists. Pieces of human-looking mechanics hang from the ceiling and on every wall. Otherworldly machines line the walls and travel around the central unit of the building. Piles of various wires make sure no wall surface is actually visible here. Strange small beings scurry about, workers for the strange man in this strange place.

It is rare for Iske to be present here. He is generally out on his ship, the Hell Bee. But when he is, visitors are seen by appointment only.
