~Tea Room~ In an impressive feat of architecture, what should be a small tea room has become a small indoor garden complete with a small waterlily pond and Japanese bridge. The hard wood floors are still visible amongst all the foliage, making the garden illusion not completely convincing. Still, it is the best of the outdoors, indoors. What was that sound? A bird, indoors? This place seems to have a life of its own, but, without fear, tea of all origins is served here in the chashitsu-like setting under massive skylights.

~Dojo~ Hidden past the tea room is a neat and efficient room meant for any sort of training. Perhaps meditation takes place here as well. Either way, important tasks are completed with the utmost privacy.

A grand spiral staircase rooted in a central part of a hallway leads to the second floor. The dark wooden rails are intricately carved. The stairs carpeted in a lush, deep red. The staircase leads up to a small circular room. Six ebony doors dot the walls in front of the staircase, each an equal distance from the others. This is a collection of guest rooms, with a creepy theme to them.
Each room has its own attached bath. Neat and disease-free, each room is like a faceted jewel set into the ring that is the second floor.

~Servants' Quarters~ On the opposite side of the staircase, a less forboding but more private door exists. A cozy feeling of warmth emanates from this door, but no stranger may enter. This is the living space of the striking servants, Hans and Adele. Only the mistress may enter without explicit permission... and even then, this is something she exercises rarely.
Hans and Adele are off on Sundays, but may have other days off.

~Master Bedroom~ With no apparent entrance or exit, the entire third floor serves as an oversized master bedroom for the mistress of the house. The bed is big, the closet is big, the master bath is big... everything is big. The heady scent of black narcissus is strongest here. Most everything here is crimson or ebony, with splashes of other colour mostly to be found in the stained glass windows which are the sole source of light here. The canopy bed is a mess of tulle, leather, velvet, and metal. It is impossible to see inside, though assuredly there is a large amount of comfortable space past this barrier.
A variety of red and black flowers grow beautifully here. All sorts of random things are to be found here, but more often than not, there are many empty spaces. A case that is generally missing its kiseru is found near the bed. Similarly, a surface for a notebook computer which is generally absent.
Empty coffee cups can pile up at times. Several ashtrays are also present. Clothes are strewn here and there, but there is nothing too conspicuous to be found. In one corner, a large wicker basket gives off an immense amount of energy. In another, a curiously empty bird perch seems to be collecting dust. But what kind of bird is that big, and leaves that big of claw marks...
This is a dangerous, off-limits place to those other than the mistress and staff. In the unfortunate case in which one would find themselves here without being brought...

~Basement~ When one has thousands of years to collect junk, where does it all go? The basement, of course. All sorts of things are stored here. It might be very possible to get lost here. More musty than dangerous, the labyrinth of the basement is best left to those accompanied by an adult.
There is a modest laundry room here. Much of the clothing here is drycleaned, so the neglected laundry room is mostly for show or emergencies.

~Cellar~ Down further into the ground lies the cellar. There is a section specifically for wine, but other practical storage is here as well. There is a small stock of food. The basement may have been the original cellar, but the cellar storage has been moved to accomodate the larger things stored in the basement.

~Garage~ Across from the cellar, a plain door leads to a basic underground garage. It's really not anything more than a small parking lot... but for one person? There isn't too much here, a small assortment of vehicles... are those motorcycles?

~Sub-basement B~ Even further into the ground, another room with no apparent entrance or exit. This room is the most basic and undeveloped room of the household. The walls are concrete and the light fixture is a bare basic steel cage. There is a crude set of table and chairs... what are those shelves? Are those... weapons, hanging on the wall? Best to make a quick exit. Under no normal circumstances would one find themself here...

A stone's throw away from a quaint little Japanese style park, there seems to be a forgotten corner of Durem in which a small Japanese style home defies both time and placing.
Here both antiques and information are sold. This cozy place also serves as the home of its owner, Shinonome Rin. With Japanese style and dress, Rin seems to be from another time entirely. Despite his curious manners and appearance, Rin excels at what he does. If the antique or information needed is not in his possession, it is really only a matter of time before it is (upon the client's request).
If Rin is not home, messages may be left for him at the front desk. Occasionally he will have others operate the shop in his absence.

Next to an antiques shop stands a modest home with an interesting type of occupants: Vocaloids! This is the home of Internet Co., Ltd. Vocaloids Gakupo, Gakuko, and Gumi.
With all of the amenities desired by young musical androids, this home not only includes things like a kitchen but a recording studio as well. The amount of bedrooms is unknown, but there is one for each of the trio as well as a few spares. With a nice-sized front porch and a pool in the backyard, it is comfortable but not excessive.
While they do entertain visitors from time to time, they would prefer strangers to keep out so they may enjoy their privacy.

Home of Irazoki Amarante.
A dark and shadowy apartment, for administrative usage. This is a home away from home for the occupant, whose primary home is the looming Ishetum. This place is merely a way to keep close to her main place of business, as well as an extra place to stay as needed. This place resembles her bedroom, just in a compact size. Things are strewn about in an untidy fashion. However the kitchen and its coffee implements are perfectly clean.

Home of Mei Mirabilis and Hihumi.
A neat and girly apartment for the coffeehouse's manager and chef. The girls have separate bedrooms but share the rest of the space. Both work irregular hours. Hihumi was rarely seen here until she set up an automated system for food alchemy (which she still regularly checks and improves upon). Pet supplies can be seen, as provided for Mirabilis' pet red panda Ning.

Home of Frederika.
A simple apartment in black and white. One bedroom, one bath, heavily shaded windows. The teacher is here often when not at work. A shadowy presence seems to linger here.
