This will eventually be a fully constructed go-to guide for new members of UG in choosing a house, and older members for learning the houses.

It will become neater and less stupid as it nears completion, but at the moment I am mainly needing information from the different houses. I will leave it to you to get in touch with me. I won't be chasing you up for this. However, this is probably the best form of advertising for your houses, so I suggest you PM me the needed information when you can. I'm going to do this in a one-post-per-city method, in descending order of house number.

The information of all the houses are set out thus:

Name
"Name meaning/title"
[#] of [city]

Main religion:
Their worship.
Speciality:
Common class of the residents, e.g. soldiers.
Notable inhabitants:
Title - Name

A short, summarised paragraph on the history of their house, information, their purpose, it's layout, whatever else, as long as it's compact.

A link.

Ulorbbath
Lolthlite hub of UnderGaia, goverened under a powerful Matriarch

Qu'ellar Rylinndar
"House of Black Hearts"
1st House of Ulorbbath

Religion:
Lolthite
Notable inhabitants:
Matron Mother - Ulvira Rylinndar
First Daughter - Aunthrae Rylinndar
House Mage - Nyx Rylinndar

The Rylinndar are fanatics of Lolth. Most drow worship the Spider Queen out of power, however the Rylinndar have a true "love" for their goddess. It is also rumored that the matron and her family are cannibals.

The House lies here.

Qu'ellar Hun'afin
"The Sisterhood of the Web"
2nd House of Ulorbbath

Religion:
Lolthite
Speciality:
Assassins
Notable inhabitants:
Matron - Chalthara Hun'afin
Weapon Master - Veldrin Hun'afin
House Assassin - Malag Im'tyrr

Hun'afin ascended slowly over the years, eventually reaching the ranks of the royal top eight. Shortly after it became the Fourth House, Matron Kikato adopted the commoner mage Jys'yl as the First Daughter of the House. Kikato disappeared not long afterward and left instructions that Jys'yl was the new Matron...and now she is dead, and a new Matron has risen to figurehead the Second House of Ulorbbath.

House Hun'Afin is made from the stalagmites and stalactites of the great Undergaia. A great spider is carved into the surface of the foremost pillars, and through the grooves runs the purple flames of faerie fire, giving the impression that a massive neon arachnid is eternally defending the estate.
The central portion of the house is a massive stalactite, its point depending 50 feet above the ground. In there reside the Hun'Afin nobles and their servants. Two smaller stalactites flank the main one, and four sentinel stalagmites rear up in square formation around this, making seven major towers in all. Commoners, soldiers, craftsmen, slaves and livestock dwell in these or in numerous smaller buildings huddled around the roots of the stalagmites.

The House lies here.

Qu'ellar Tor'afin
"Mistresses of the Web"
4th House of Ulorbbath

Religion:
Lolthite
Speciality:
Magic, raiding, and loyal Lolthites
Notable Drow:
Matron Mother - Lariexith "Lari" Tor'afin
First Daughter: - Briza "Bri" Tor'afin
Weapon Master: - Flamgra
Archmage - (Inactive, currently looking for replacement.)
Guard Captain - Vic'tyrr Tor'afin

Lariexith had grown up as a vindictive High Priestess in a rich, high favored House. It was a War House that visited and raided elven settlements quite frequently. Bringing back trade, supplies, slaves, and sacrifices.

When Lari slept with her mother's latest patron, persuaded his execution, and birthed her only present daughter, Briza, Lari decided to take the throne from her mother to start a new life for her precious drowling. After teleporting her daughter to a safer location, making allies inside and outside of the House, Lariexith was able to overthrow her mother in the end. Repaying the outside allies by splitting the wealth and giving the House away. Inheriting and keeping just the elven settlement on the surface, some of the heirlooms of greater value, and only the troops that helped plot against her mother. Afterward, Lariexith and her small loyal band of troops set out and lived in the Underdark for quite some time before landing themselves in Undergaia, and taking a place in the city of Ulorbbath. The House has sense made allies and gained a rank. Its reputation steadily flourishing over time.

Qu'ellar D'Alevall
"The Web Weavers"
5th House of Ulorbbath

Religion:
Lolthite.
Speciality:
Artisans.
Notable inhabitants:
Matron - Alaunlara
The Matron's sister - Adharra.
Head Artisan - Divroos.

D'Alevall is a house of artisans, and sports one of the only academies of art in UnderGaia. For the last 6 centuries, D'Alevall artisans have been commissioned almost solely for the decoration of the other houses of the city, and even of some other cities, keeping a steady stream of gold filling the coffers of the refined household. The house boasts 400 soldiers and slaves, a full hundred of which are trained with the chisel, the metal forge, and some even with paint. Commoners trained in that direction, cousins, and skilled slaves are all held within the academy of art along with skilled masters and skilled commoners from other houses, come to learn.

The House lies here.

Au Shinduago
Shadowed cavern city of thieves, slavers and sorcerers

Qu'ellar Druu'giir
"Lords and Ladies of Au Shinduago"
1st House of Au Shinduago

Religion:
Vhaeraunite.
Speciality:
Arcanists and Slavers
Notable inhabitants:
Patron - Ilharn Val'atar Druu'giir
Matron/Consort - Erelala Druu'giir
House Spy/Assassin - Serethiel Maerukai
Daughter - Vornicka

Qu'ellar Druu'giir has a direct influence over other houses in the city due to the fact the clan controls nearly all the powerful magic in Au Shinduago, as well as most of the external trade with the surface. Slavery is its second biggest import and nearly all the workers and slaves of the city were brought in by the powerful magics of Druu'giir sorcerers. The clan is dominated by male arcanists and can quickly augment its large standing army by hiring the Barra Vla'rinnyn or another mercenary band if necessary. Allied to numerous smaller houses, its influence is at times subtle and yet is felt by all others within the city. The ultimate fear inspired by the house's reputation is the rumor that its arcanists can employ gate spells to bring their quickly-reinforced armies to virtually any house, any room, in any city!

House Druugiir

Qu'ellar Hlairyn
"Seers of History"
4th House of Au Shinduago

Main religion:
Vhaeraun
Speciality:
Trade and Magical abilities
Notable inhabitants:
Matron - Nariel Hlairyn
Head of Military - Chaldor Hlairyn

The Hlairyn were a powerful house of far off city, but after the city was destroyed the house barely managed to keep themselves together. They wandered, fighting off slavers and working with other refugees. After the tragic death of the last pre-disaster Ilharess, her daughter decide it was time to put down solid roots. After a year, the clan has finally settled into a comfortable position of power.

Qu'ellar Deghym
"Champions of the Forgotten Ways"
House of Au Shinduago

Religion:
Vhaeraunite.
Speciality:
Scholars and spies.
Notable inhabitants:
Matron - [??]
House Spy - Zilvvrae Deghym

A silent party in Au Shinduago, their singular role to the outside world being the upkeep of the temples and colleges of the city, Qu'ellar Deghym went mostly forgotten for most of its life. Which is how it is most able to function, as a matter of fact. A house of spies and scholars, they hoard information. During the turmoil of conflict in UnderGaia history, they took advantage of an overlooked niche for information gathering. Their purpose has developed to a less mercenary and more sacramental role, and they new believe it to be their higher purpose to hoard information for their god, Vhauraun.

The house lies here.

Qu'ellar Val'Rilyniryn
"Silken Weaver' House of Drow History"
House of Au'Shinduago

Main religion:
Lolthite
Speciality:
Knowledge
Notable inhabitants:
Matron - Deceased
Acting Headmaster/House Master - Llmryn Val'Rilyniryn

House Val'Rilyniryn is founded on the idea of collecting records of both facts and legends surrounding Drow history. With spells being also part of Drow history, a magical research institute was added to the Historian branch of the House.
Now days, the House is also acting as a school. A 'freedom of worship' is in place.

After the Matron Mother was murdered over knowledge she held and was unwilling to share with a rival House, Llmryn Val'Rilyniryn (first son and only child to the Matron) took control and relocated to Au'Shinduago.

The house doubles as a school. Aside from being a school that caters to the needs of all forms of intellectual pursuit, it is also the birth place to a few of the more resent spells that are now part of daily life. This is thanks to the magical research and development branch.

Starless Sea
Trade Centre of UnderGaia, a melting pot of various races

Qu'ellar d'Ssindossa
"Ssindossa Tulshar"
1st House of the Starless Sea

Religion:
Mixed.
Speciality:
Whores.
Notable inhabitants:
Matron - Madame Mayvyrae

The House has a hand in all the trade of the Starless Sea, and anything that happens in the city only happens with their approval, whether the instigators know it or not. But their dealings in the running of the Starless Sea are easily overshadowed by their public face. While a House in name, they are little more than an occasionally hereditary brothel house. A true den of inequity, a pit of debauchery, catering to all fetishes; they host a new party every night, though the special masquerade balls are known to be especially extravagant and decadent.

The House lies here.
