Name: Calintha E. Johnson Nicknames: Cali School: Meadowview Gender: Female Age: 17 Birthday: June 20st Height: 5'5" Sign: Gemini (cusp Cancer) Blood Type: A Gemstone: Aquamarine Fav. Food: Hot and spicy ethnic food. Anything that would make a normal person erupt like a volcano and foam at the mouth is good for her. Finding the school food bland, Cali either packs her own or brings hot sauce with her. Hated Food: Chocolate, in nearly any form. Physical Appearance: Calintha is usually quite tan (though, like most fair skinned people, she's several shades lighter in the winter). The girl is fairly thin with quite a few muscles from gardening for her entire life. She wears very relaxed clothing most of the time (sneakers or flats with ripped jeans and a tshirt), and very little in the way of makeup/hair product. Kind of your common 'girl next door' look. Home Life: Mother (Beatrice): Cali has a very, very tense relationship with her mother. They are practically not on speaking terms (absolutely necessary communication only). Her mother hates Calintha's hobby/talent with a passion. Father (Arnold): She has a slightly better relationship with her father, however she hates that he is submissive to Beatrice in every way. He does do small things to help however, in secret. Little Sister (Susanne): The only person that Calintha is truly close to in this world. She idolizes her little sister, and would do anything for her. They keep in close contact at all times. Uncle (Sam): Calintha is also close to her uncle on her fathers side, who is a botanist as well. He commonly sends her packages with plant related goodies inside (care packages of plants, seeds, books, soil, etc). They keep in contact via writing.

Gifts:Green Thumb: Cali has the ability of green thumb. However, this is only for the weird and unusual. Give the girl your garden variety roses, lilies, carnations, or tulips and they’ll die a horrible death. But cacti, venus fly traps, trumpets, and bladderwarts (and anything else strange, unusual or exceptionally difficult to cultivate) all thrive under her care. She cares for the strangest garden, something direct out of the creepiest version of alice in wonderland that you can find. She cares for them like she cares for nothing else, and you can often see her with some weird flower clipping that she trimmed in her lapel or shoved behind her ear. YoumaGPS:Since she woke up in the hospital, Calintha can feel evil things moving throughout the city. Through the ordeals she does not remember, she has developed youma tracking. She can tell things near to her right away with clarity, but it gets a little more fuzzy the farther off it gets. Cali doesn't know quite what these feelings mean at this point, just that whatever these things are, they should be avoided at all costs. Hobbies: Organization: Part of the reason Calintha picked up this hobby is due to the time she spent in the hospital rooming with Fallon. She learned from the master, and liked the way it felt to be organized (it gives her a measure of control over her life). Most everything in her apartment is neatly jarred and labeled, each in different ways. Her cooking jars are all the kind with blackboard paint, so they are labeled by whats inside and the date. Her plants are labeled both with permanent name labels, as well as several laminate card slots, each detailing watering/feeding/trimming schedules. Anything she makes in house (tea, spices, etc) is neatly labeled with names, ingredients, and dates. Concoctions: Calintha doesn't just like to grow plants, she also likes to know what she can do with said plants. As such, she's begun compiling guides and research books that deal with homemade remedies. She's gotten fairly good at it, but it is always loves to learn new uses for her plants. Current things that she can make in shop include several different types of tea, poultices, disinfectants, rubs, and mineral soaks. There isn't any really limit as to what she'll try to make with her home grown ingredients, but she does tend to gravitate towards things that are directly useful (she's more willing to make a medical remedy than a perfume, for example). Virtues: Herbology Hero: Got a cut? A sore? An ache? You should go to Cali. Chances are she knows what supplement you should buy, what plant goo you should rub on your skin or what strange concoction might sooth your ails (and chances are, she's got what you need right in her apartment). She’s usually always willing to help someone that comes to her in need. Patient: If there’s one thing that Calintha can do well besides garden strange and terrifying plants its waiting. She can wait any amount of time for anything, and it never ruffles her. Her sense of time, however, tends to be impeccable. Cali never wears a watch, but can usually pinpoint the time of day within 10 minutes. Resistant: Calintha is incredibly resistant to bad situations and hard times. Like a plant, she's grown her roots in deep and can bend in whichever way the wind blows. Everything that she's been through has made her able to 'grin and bear it' as it were. This is mostly a defense mechanism to keep her from going insane. Things will get better eventually, and in the meantime, Calintha is going to weather the storm. Flaws: Time Challenged: You’d think with her amazing internal clock and her sense of patience, you’d never have to wait a second for the girl. And that’s where you’d be wrong. She often is running late for things, or on bad days forgetting important occasions all together. Calintha is incredibly aware of time, just not conscientious of it. Sometimes what is more frustrating though is Cali's lack of concern for being late. Unless its something really truly important, you'll get a quick 'sorry' that sounds less sincere than...well...something not very sincere. Malleable: Calintha is a very impressionable young woman. She often assumes that others know best, and that listening to their opinions and following through with them is clearly the best option. Tell her that she looks ugly in that shirt? She won't wear it ever again. Conversely, mention that her sweatshirt looks awesome and she'll wear it twice as often. This product will make my skin glow? Of COURSE I'll try it! I think you get the point. The only thing that she won't stand correction on is her gardening. Try and tell her how to garden and you're likely to get the silent treatment.

Current Connections: Fallon Novette-Naim: Calintha shared a hospital room with Fallon, and they are under a current arrangement of cooking lessons in exchange for gardening lessons. Unknown to both of them, Calintha and Fallon spent their last moments as zombie-youma together at Barren Pines. Ignacio Araya: Also a fellow BP survivor. Met up again at a coffee shop, and the two are casual friends. Howl Wickham: Met at Singles Awareness night. While Howl is overly polite, its kind of cute. Has in interest in Calintha's plants, and Cali is still mortified that she stuck a post-it note to his head. Cassius James: A nice golden-haired boy that Cali bumped into in Destiny City Park. He bought ice cream and listened, which is all a girl could ever need. Perry Westerman: Calintha's biology teach at Meadowview who is concerned with both her well being and grades. Tara Kavanaugh: Fellow BP survivor who keeps a plant. In her locker. But she knows Laney too, so that's something.
Past Connections: Yvette Weaver: A girl who came across and sketched in Cali's garden at Barren Pines. They've not seen each other since the hospital. Piper Haswell: A very, very strange blue haired person whom Calintha doesn't pretend to understand, but she liked her nonetheless. They were in the same house at BP. Not seen since the hospital. Evie Esther: Met while she was undead, Evie was Calintha's first and only kill. They later bonded after she pried her off of the wooden spikes that Evie had made herself. Evie did not survive Barren Pines, and Cali has no recollection of meeting or killing her.

Treasured Items: Keys: Cali keeps a small necklace with three keys looped in it on her person at all times. The chain is a thicker one, very strong and is gold colored. One key is for a small safe she keeps with her stash of money (She gets it from odd jobs and selling plants occasionally, this is kept strictly confidential). One is a key to her old greenhouse, tucked back into the woods that border her families property. And the third is a small skeleton-looking key, which used to belong to her greenhouse at Barren Pines. Headband: The red headband she wears has become her comfort blanket, and she wears it almost all the time. It was originally from when Cali had to cut her hair short rather unexpectedly (to keep the small strands from getting in her face), but since then it has grown into one of the only accessories she loves. She is seen with it on constantly. She also has an array of other headbands and hair accessories, which she wears on special occasions. Gardening Stuff: Gardening Supplies: Calintha has a large amount of gardening supplies, most of which she worked her butt off to buy herself (either that, or they were gifts). She has a few top of the line things, including a serrated trowel, hoe, and clippers in several sizes. She also owns a pair of sturdy garden gloves (made of deer leather). For her larger gardening items, she owns both the large size (which are stored for obvious reasons), and the small size for indoor gardening. Plants: On any given day Calintha has anywhere from 80-100 separate plants in her house. Most of them are in separate terracotta pots appropriate to their size needs (though, many of her specimens are smaller). Concoctions: Calintha's side hobby is researching medicinal cures that can be made from some of her plants. Currently, she has tinctures, creams, and salves that can be used to help treat minor injuries (cuts, scrapes, bruises, etc). All of the remedies are neatly labeled and in a large see-through cabinet.

Calintha is reawakened and sent to Barren Pines, a school run by the Negaverse.
Calintha dies (sort of) in a dormitory fire.
Cali is yet again awakened, this time as a blood thirsty zombie-youma. Calintha makes her first kill, a classmate named Evie.
Calintha rides through Barren Pines and awakes for the third time in a hospital. She only remembers the beginning of the experience at BP.
Calintha is enrolled at Meadowview as a Junior in order to receive her diploma on government regulations, since they could not determine how much school she had missed.
Calintha's appeal for early graduation is rejected.
Calintha has a very strange dream.
Calintha enters a drawing for a prize in a box she sees on some street. She wins! And participates in Tanglewood.

New news! Calintha's beloved plant, the Dionaea Ebola (named Piper II) has died, impaled by a giant wooden stake.
She has also successfully fooled the survivors into thinking she was alive with lots and lots of makeup, and has successfully made her first kill, a sweet little thing named Evie.
