Friends and Enemies
Faeriina: My sister. I love her, but she can be mean. Sammi: She was mean for no reason. I don't think I like her. She's started to be a lot nicer. Maybe she's not that bad after all. Eve: Not sure what to think of her. She's fun though! Howl: He's.....amazing!

Quote: October 1st Its been a little less than a month since Hunter was born. Exile and I couldn’t be any happier. He’s brought so much joy and peace into our lives, but in the most chaotic way.
Every morning he wakes up and escapes from his crib. He then crawls into our room and sits at the side of my bed watching me until I wake up. I’ve sort of given up trying to find ways to keep him in the crib. We go make breakfast together and take it in to Exile. I usually have to take a bath as I give him one, to clean off the remains of the morning battle.
He’s such a beautiful child. I was worried at first after meeting the Azoulai siblings, but other than his odd growth spurts and abilities, he’s a normal child. I’ve met a few of the other parents affected by the same experiment. Despite how strange the two of them are, the siblings seem very concerned about the children and their families.
Jaella, their first child experiment from what I have gathered, came by the other day with an invitation to a Halloween party later this month. I think it’s a wonderful idea, Hunter could use a few friends. Goddess knows he won’t find any here. I don’t mean to keep him secluded, but I can’t move away from the pack, not with things as they stand now. Maybe some friends touched by the siblings is just what he needs.
He’s growing so quickly, it’s hard to believe it’s been less than a month.
Kait closed and latched the small book, were she recorded all of her thoughts. Beside her lay Hunter, his eyes half closed in quiet rest for once. She smiled and reached down to stroke the tip of his black ear. It twitched and he sneezed giving her a petulant look. She laughed and poked him gently in the nose. “Morning little one. Did you enjoy your nap?” He growled softly and did his best to pull himself to his full height trying to seem imposing. ”Mama! Nu te’sing” ”I’m not teasing. I’m simply trying to pay my respects to you little prince.” His only response was another low growl as he pulled himself up and rested his chin on her leg. ”Wutchu writ’in?” She pulled the journal close to her, and opened it to show him the small flowing script. ”I was writing about you. How cute you are. How you make your father and I feel whole.”

Hunter packed his little bag full of his most prized items. Mommy had told him that it would be a fun trip. He wasn’t so sure. It would be his first time away from mommy for so long. She had said that it would be a good chance for he and Daddy to bond and grow closer. It was supposed to be an important trip. One that all male children from his father’s blood must make. He shivered and looked longingly toward his mothers room. He wasn’t sure he wanted to go. They would travel deep into the forest outside of town and track down the rest of Exile’s pack.
”Hunter. Are you ready kiddo?” He glanced up to see his father’s smiling face. Exile could sense his son’s discomfort and smiled wider. ”Don’t worry about mom. She’s strong. Her and Riina will be fine.” Hunter smiled weakly and nodded. ”Da? What’s yur pack like? Are dey mean? Momma don’t like ‘em much does she?” Exile sighed and scooted into the room, sitting on the edge of the bed. With a soft sigh he tugged his son close and looked deep into his eyes.
”It’s difficult. No, your mother and my pack do not get along, just like I do not get along well with her’s. We broke the biggest rule in our packs. We fell in love and I took her as my mate.” Hunter looked confused as he tilted his head up to look at Exile better. ”Why dat so bad?” Exile sighed and tried to find the words to explain. ”We…well…A long time ago a very wise man predicted that a love like mine and your mother’s would destroy both our packs. So to prevent that they made a rule that the people in our packs were never allowed to fall in love.” Hunter looked to the ground and thought for a very long time. It didn’t make much sense to him, but maybe he wasn’t old enough to understand.
Finally he looked back up at his father, ”Will dey like me then?” Exile laughed, throwing his head back and letting out a deep rich sound. ”Of course. You’re my son. And you’re mother is a very strong woman. She’s made her way into my pack and made a place for herself. They look forward to meeting you.”

Copied from Reiko's journal.
Hunter groaned and tried to creep up on Reiko. That goofy little shadow girl was at it again. She had been terrorizing the house and eating anything she could get her little hands on. Currently she was nibbling on Hunter’s prized possession. A wolf fang necklace. He had spent two weeks hunting down the wolf and had captured it and yanked its canine from its mouth while still alive. Respecting life was very important to his father’s pack. He grimaced and crouched low, hunting the shadow. He waited to spring, not wanting to startle her into swallowing it.
Reiko giggled and gurgled as she stalked around looking for something to eat. The thing she had in her mouth was tasty, but it wasn’t appetizing. What she was really craving was cookies. But not the kind that momma had made. She wanted cookies with all of the good things in the fridge added in. She took the thing from her mouth and looked around, trying to find something she hadn’t tasted yet.
Hunter’s tail twitched and his ears flattened out against his head. His opportunity presented itself as she looked around the room. Leaping up and out he pounced on the shadow, wrestling the necklace from her. ”Bad Reiko! No eat!” Reiko giggled and squirmed, thinking of it as a new game. The bell in her hair chimed and jingled hurting Hunter’s sensitive ears. ”Hold still!”
Reiko paused and tilted her head, looking up at him in confusion. Was he mad? Why was Hunter mad? Did Rei do something wrong? She frowned and slipped out from under him, reappearing out of his shadow. ”Rei?” Hunter growled and stuffed the necklace into his pocket. ”Yes I’m mad. Dis very ‘portant to me.” Rei floated forward to hug him. She was very sorry. Just so hungry. ”Rei rei ko.” Hunter paused and thought about it. Now that Reiko had brought it up, he was hungry too. ”C’mon. Let’s go find food.”
Kait turned a pale shade of green as she looked around at her kitchen. It was a mess to say the least. In the middle of the disaster zone sat Reiko and Hunter, faces covered in…..well….she wasn’t quite sure what. ”What in the world have you two been into?” Hunter looked up sheepishly and tried to hide the bowl. ”We made cookies. But we cou’n’t use the stove, so we ate it raw.” The woman moved closer and inspected his face, hiding a grin. ”Mmhmm. What kind of cookies?” He giggled and looked to Rei, as if they were sharing a secret. He put a finger to his bottom lip as he thought. ”Stwa’berries, ‘nanas, choc’lit, ‘nilla, soy sauce, t’basco, salsa, pickles, olives……” He stopped and looked to Reiko, silently asking if there was anything he had forgotten. She shook her head emphatically, sending the bells in her hair chiming again. Kait and Hunter clapped hands over their ears and Rei grinned in shame. ”Ko….” Kait looked at the two of them, the green tint coming back to her face as she stared on in disbelief.
”You ate WHAT?!?!”
