Name meaning: Old English for 'berry clearing'. Age: Child Gender: None- The Piper doesn't have a gender. Species: Dream Fae Birthday: July 4th, 2009- The day that it came into Gabrielle's care. Personality: A calm and gentle fae with a secret agenda to snatch the love right out of your heart! Bailey's extremely shy, though it's tapered off some with age and if at all possible, it like's to fly rather than walk (thought it tires out easily).
Don't let it's innocent looks fool you. This little one is as crafty as it comes and if your not careful, it'll steal your dreams. c:

She'll rip the shirt right off her back to give to anyone, anytime of the day; though I'm sure you'd rather her keep it on. (Lol) Though she's faced many hardships, she's carried one with her head held high. No one ever asked her if she was ready to be a 'mother' again, but no one had to ask her to be a 'grandmother'. She's stepped up the plate to take of Bailey and will continue to do so til the day she dies.

Pet's name: Jaimie The eldest dog. Jaimie was gifted to Lo and Lloyd as a pup for a wedding present by Gabrielle. He's an old dog now with just enough bite left in him to claim his spot infront of the fire.

Pet's name: Charlie The ruffian. He's got into so many fights that when he sees a stray dog he immediately growls. Bailey adopted him from the pound when it came to live with Lo and likes to come home to see Charlie stretched out on it's bed.
Pet's name: Misty A kitty that was given to Bailey by Jaella. She needed homes for the kittens and who could say no? Misty's queen bee of the household, with full run of eating rights and sleeping spots. The only dog she gets along with is Charlie, and she isn't afraid to attack the others if they get too close.

Little Bailey Thorne wasn't a normal child.
It wasn't a boy and it wasn't a girl. It was just it.
And everytime it looked at the doll underneath the pillow in it's crib it felt a little odd.
Little Bailey Thorne wanted to be like Jaella, Reiya, Sammi, Alome and Howl. They were normal little kids with normal little lives and normal little bodies.
Little Bailey Thorne wanted to be called a boy or a girl because being an it felt bad.
It was in movies. It was in books. It was in stories and gossip and the news. It was never loved and it was always tossed to the side in favor of the princes and princesses.
Mommy knew that Little Bailey was a bit off, but dressed it up like a girl. Lissy didn't care; it was a playmate and thats all she worried about. But it was terrified. What if it wasn't loved? What if it never found a happy ending or happiness?
But then, Little Bailey huddled further up into it's ball, holding the Jaella doll as the household slept. It wasn't supposed to fly. It wasn't supposed to get out of bed. But it didn't care.
It held onto the doll as it shivered, crying fat tears down it's chubby cheeks. Sometimes it wanted to disappear to a world far away so it wouldn't have to be a boy or a girl. Then, as it gave one last squeeze to the doll, a musical melody made it turn round just before it vanished into thin air.
(Bailey's first trip to the dream realm.)

Grandma Lo looked down at Gabrielle's grave with a grim expression. High flying on her side was Bailey. It hadn't touched the ground since they'd entered the cemetary. Something Lissy said, most likely.
"Your walking on mom."
Oh, thats it.
It was wearing the poor infant out. Bailey's breathing was labored, all sets of wings pumping out what they could in earnest as it clung to Lo's shoulder. The elderly woman turned slowly to scoop it up.
Bailey's eyes were filled with tears. The death was still fresh on the whole family and though in time the infant would be the one with the shortest memory, it still stung.
Lo wobbled her walker to the side and shifted Bailey to her hip so she could lay a bouquet of iris' on the grave. They were nestled between roses of every color and a handful of wildflowers, courtesy of Lissy no doubt.
"Bailey doesn't know." The fae whispered. Lo turned to it. "W-why momma's die? Why sissy's move? W-w-why?" Bailey hiccuped and covered it's face in it's hands.
"Shhh, dearie. People dear to us leave because of fate. Their off in better places and one day, you will be too. Just believe."
Bailey shook it's head. The infant escaped it's grandmother's grasp to flutter beneath the shade of a huge tree and out of it's dress, it pulled a small crystal flute. Out of all the gifts it had received out of sympathy for Gabrielle's gift, this one was most precious to it. It was Gabrielle's.
Though for display, Bailey began to play with passion. Lo was instantly in a trance, staring off mutely with her feeble mind at ease while Bailey played the balad of the angels.

Looking down at the snow at it's feet, Bailey smiled. Too long had it been since it had been in the company of it's sister and now they were out in Lo's front yard making snow angels.
"We don't get snow in Gambino, Bailey." Lissy giggled. She flopped back into a snow pile, flailing her tentacles around to stir up a snow cloud. Bailey squeeled and hit behind the snowman. "Oh, come on, play with me!" She made a hap-hazard snowball and chucked it at the fae.
Bailey puffed up it's cheeks. "Nuh uh! You'll just t'row ano'der ball at my face."
"Will not, I promise." Lissy gave the puppy dog eyes and rolled onto her stomach in the snow. It was caked in her wool cap right down to the mittens on her hands.
Bailey sighed, nervously fluttered out to where Lissy lay only to have a snowball chucked at it's face. It screamed, twirling around on the spot before falling into the snowman.
"BAILEY!" The older child scrambled up from the snow. She took to running on the slicker parts of snow to get to the lump. All she saw was Bailey's boot. "Bailey, Bailey! C'mon, get out!" Why did she have these stupid mittens anyway, they were getting in the way! Sharp fangs tore them off a nano-second before pale hands dug through the snow.
"Hehe. Got'cha!"
Lissy spun around and saw Bailey fluttering. It's white snow dress billowed around it's feet, the one without the boot curled up close to it's warmer pair.
She growled. "That wasn't funny! And as punishment you have to play without your boot." There! See how you liked it now, punk.
Bailey gawked. "No fair, it's cold!"
"Should'a thought 'bout that before you messed with the Princess." Elisabetta huffed and stood up. She tossed her nose in the air with superior arrogance. Grabbing her mittens in one hand and the boot in the other she trudged up to the door, opened it, slammed it and locked it.

Dear Bailey,
Hey sissy sis! Or bro bro. Not really sure yet.....Anyway, I like living here in Gambino with Moose and Sabra. It's alot diff'net den livin' at homes, and I miss you, but we be togever for christmas. I hope Mams is nice becuase she wasn't very nice to me. She called me bad names, but I won't tell them to you because I don't want you to be upset.
Guess what? Sabra has a daughter from dat crazy place too. Her names Tally. We're like sisters! I have so much fun with her. We go to the beach, the arcade, we even share rooms. Wow you should really meet her, she's super aw-
Lo lowered the letter and wrapped her arm around Bailey. "She doesn't mean that she's replaced you, dear. Sometimes people just move on. I'm sure she still loves you. See? Her letter says so, just a little further down."
Bailey hiccuped. So that was why Lissy wasn't coming home. She had a new sister, a new life; one that didn't include Bailey.

Bailey sat on the back porch and plucked at the strings of it’s lute. For the time being it’s wings had safely disappeared, leaving the appearance of a rather pink elf curled up on the swing. When it reached the right tune, it began to play and sing;
hora! ne mimi sumaseba nante amai MERODI- san-ji no yousei boku wo yonde-iru yo nemutta DOA wo tatake tonde okite isoge okashi no kuni e fune ni notte iku yo
By this time, the neighborhood kids were out in their own yards, playing and laughing, but all came to a quiet halt when they heard the tune. Though the fae’s magic wasn’t at it’s strongest yet, the lure was so sweet that kids started peeping in to get a listen.
a- yume ga ippai MINTO PAI ni APPURU PAI KE-KI yoku genki yoku KUKKI- UKIUKI PEROTto tabete PURUN PURIN CHOTto tabete CHOKORE-TO san-ji no yousei warai nagara mite'ru
Of course, it tripped up on the wording, but what lyrics it had forgotten was replaced by lyrical hums. Bailey had yet to notice the growing crowd encroaching on Lo’s personal property and played on.
issho ni saa yukou yo naisho de saa yukou yo PAPA ya MAMA ga inakute mo samishiku nai kowaku nai
hitorikiri ja taikutsu minna yonde kyuukutsu okashi no kuni wa itsumo oosawagi
By now children with dazed expressions were singing along with a song that they hadn’t heard in their lives. The bright sunshine couldn’t mask the creep factor as the piper’s spell worked it’s magic. They clapped and swayed, bringing Bailey to attention with a sharp snap. To it, they looked like they were enjoying it, so with a little blush the piper played.
hora! ne me wo tojitara nante amai kaori san-ji no yousei boku wo matte-iru yo otona-tachi wa shiranai datte dare mo iwanai okashi no kuni wa kodomo dake no himitsu
mo- onaka PANPAN NATTSUPAN ni ANPAN nante kanji sonna KYANDI- GAMU kamu ka mo
WAKUWWAKU da ne WAFFURU donna toki mo DO-NATSU san-ji no yousei tsugi wa nani wo shiyou
itsu made asonde mo dore dake sawaide mo PAPA ya MAMA ga inai kara okorarenai kaeranai
suki na mono wa sassoku minna tabete manzoku okashi no kuni wa totemo suteki na kuni
hitorikiri ja taikutsu minna yonde kyuukutsu okashi no kuni wa itsumo oosawagi
suki na mono wa sassoku minna tabete manzoku okashi no kuni wa totemo suteki na kuni
The longer Bailey played the more self assured it became. At one point it’s curled ears pricked up, orchid eyes turning to the crowd with a smile as their parents were pulled into the frey. Bailey repeated the second verse only because of the fun factor, but when it’s fingers began to ache, it set the lute lightly on the wooden floor.
“….What just happened?” A little girl asked her mother.
The woman shrugged and looked around before hurrying her children away, “I’m not sure, but we shouldn’t be here. Lo has a gun.”
The dream fae rocked back into the swing curiously as the crowd dispersed. Some of the adults looked at it oddly before turning away, but their children openly stared. Bailey gulped. Didn’t they like it? Wasn’t that why they had all come?
“Shoo, whoo!” Lo swung open the back door and stretched, taking a moment to yawn before taking out her ear plugs. Then she saw the stragglers and gaped. “What in the world is going on here?! Get out! Shoo, shoo!”
“Concert.” Bailey replied. “Everyone came, but I need more practice. They didn’t seem to like it very much.”
