Track 2: The Prince of the FlowersName: Verdant Lindtstrom Race: Amaranth Nereid Gender: Male Age: 22 years old Occupation: Singer/Poet Physical Appearance/Description: In appearance, Verdant seems to be your run-of-the-mill Goth. Almost 6’2”, a slender (but toned) build, and pale skin, he’s really not that bad to look at. His hair is ivory black and reaches down to his lower back. It is always covering his right eye; he has a small, but noticeable scar on his eye that he received after a scuffle with a rose nymph. His eyes are a rich harlequin green, a sharp contrast to his ghostly pallor and inky hair. In bright sunlight, his eyes become a tea green color. Verdant can usually be found wearing black Victorian clothing or anything he finds to be tastefully extravagant; his signature accessory is his black top hat adorned by an amaranth bloom. He has a total of thirteen piercings; seven on his left ear and six on the right. When excited or very happy (that happens quite often), two amaranth flowers emerge on each side of his head and release a soft scent similar to lavender. Personality: Verdant is an optimist to the point of being annoying; he’s rarely sad and always seems to find the silver lining in the darkest of clouds. Due to his contrasting sarcastic wit, he has come to be known as “the kid with the wry commentary and the patented eye roll” amongst his fans. He has a sharp tongue, but does not revel in having to use it. He is very loyal to his friends and will not hesitate to defend them should the need arise. History: Verdant’s life began when an amaranth (as in the never-fading amaranth) sprang up seemingly out of nowhere in a public park in Vargash. It lay hidden by a pile of rocks, but was able to receive enough sunlight and water to flourish. It was only after 18 years of growing that the plant frenetically sprouted vines and released a massive bud that put titan arums to shame. With an ear-splitting snap, the bud bloomed and there lay Verdant, curled up inside of the flower and covered in nectar and pollen. He was arrested on the spot for indecent exposure, but released when the authorities realized exactly what he was and why he was sleeping naked inside a giant flower. With nothing but the ratty clothes on his back, Verdant was thrust into a strange new world that he had absolutely no knowledge of. By chance, he was found by a good Samaritan who placed him in the care of a shelter for troubled youths. The matron named him Verdant after the color of his eyes, but he chose his own last name after listening to a famous singer on the radio. After four years of living in the shelter, he became a well-established citizen and was able to not only get a job, but get his own apartment.He has lived alone ever since then. Extra Info: Verdant is a singer and poet (though totally lousy at it), often performing at small Gothic venues. Verdant seeks an Essentic to be his back-up vocalist and pianist. As an owner, he would ensure that the Essentic not only lived a happy and healthy life, but also felt accepted for being different, mainly because Verdant can sympathize. He would protect the Essentic with his life and would do everything in his power to make sure it is never upset or sad. Quirks: He has a phobia of caterpillars which can lead to some very embarrassing bouts of screaming and crying. He doesn't hate butterflies though; he has no idea why. Likes: Singing, screaming, listening to music, chasing butterflies, planting flowers. Dislikes: Caterpillars, bullies, seeing homeless children being mistreated. Reference Picture: Here.

Track 3: The Symphonic Rhapsodist
Name: Orpheus
Gender: Protos don't have genders, but Orpheus acts like a dude... most of the time.
Essentic Type: Magicker, Rhapsodist sub-type.
Personality: He's as weird and eccentric as Verdant, though far calmer. He's constantly cheerful and it's rare for him to feel down about anything. He does get concerned about Verdant's health though; he overheard the landlady talking about several health issues that she had, so he makes sure Verdant never skimps on the vitamins. Orpheus also tends to sing random songs from his repertoire, which is as large as Verdant's CD collection, calls everyone "brah" (Verdant has no idea where he picked that up), and enjoys reading Emo Monthly to pass the time.
Quirks: Perhaps it is due to his name (and the fact that the little guy's been reading the mythology books Verdant stole from the library), but Verdant's noticed that little Orpheus has a lot in common with figures from Greek mythology. He can charm birds, fish and other pets, make seeds sprout and grass grow, and even make bubbles out of rain with his music and singing (Orpheus could do all that, but on a much larger scale). He can entrance men and women alike with his beautiful voice, sometimes causing problems for the people (Sirens, anyone?). He also is very mischievous and can make apples turn gold- and very sour- with a special song; that song only works on apples, but it sure did fool Elst (Eris' influence, surely...).

Verdant's Thoughts on Those He's Met:
Humans:
Astan: He intimidated me at first, but he's actually a really nice guy once you start talking to him. He's a musician as well; though his tastes in music differ from mine, he's still got some damn talent, I just know it! I'll have to check out some of his band's music sometime.
Banning I. DeLonghy: He's the head honcho of Essential Biotics INC. and is just brimming with boredom. He's the epitome of neutrality, which suits his profession, I think. He's a sharp dresser and a man of few words, but I kinda feel like he gets bored talking to people. Plus, he has that weird tendency to stare...
Dorian Cromwell: Holy ********, this guy is the embodiment of all that is fabulous and fierce! I mean, seriously, any man who wears stiletto heels is good in my book. He's so enthusiastic and charismatic! He makes me seem like an emo kid in comparison! (Not that I hate emo kids; a lot of 'em are cute!) I can't wait to go shopping with him one of these days! Do you think he'd like me to make him some clothes? Or take them off of him...
Dreamer Eversong: She's as pretty as her name, but I'm a little wary of her. She gives off this rich-person bad vibe, but I think it might just be the fact that she's rich. I don't really like rich people... but I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. She could be a completely sweet and kind girl for all I know.
Ellandra: She is a total sweetheart and a writer, though I haven't gotten the chance to read any of her work just yet. Sure, she's shy and all, but a lot of people are. I can tell that kharma's gonna take a liking to her. Also, I noticed something peculiar about her at the ball, but it might just be nothing... or something. Time will tell, I suppose...
Elst: He's a good-hearted plant and is damn smart if you ask me. He still hasn't grasped what being human is, but then... well, neither have I. heart Working for him is a blast! I get to drink as much nectar as I want (so long as those busy buzzy bees get their share too, of course) and I get to hang out with him and Aoi! Could I possibly have a better boss? He also seems to love mojitos; I should learn how to make them for him sometime.
Emilia: Two words: DITZY! She is lots of fun to chat with, even if she acts more like someone from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland than anything else. I'm pretty sure she would do well as a slapstick comedian, or whatever those people are. I think she eats too much junk food, but where does that chick put it? O.O I sure wish I had her metabolism!
Faolan: He's such an awesome guy and handsome to boot! I mean, he's not better-looking than me... is he? O_O Er, anyways, he's kind-hearted and fun, a perfect match for Ellandra. I'm betting he'll make a good dad too, though I'm not sure if being nude all the time is a good influence. XD
Shade: He's a lot younger than me, but he's got a way better grasp on technology than I could ever hope to have. He's a smart kid too, though I don't think he likes school very much. He's a video game whiz; I couldn't even beat that big ol' Heartless, for God's sake! He's also kinda shy, but an otherwise cheerful young man. I taught him to dance at the ball; that was loads of fun! And... don't tell anyone, but... I think he's kinda cute, don't you?

Aoi: He sure is a smart little Alter, isn't he? His magic's stronger and he's even cute-looking! Working at the Nursery since he grew up sure has been fun. X3
Rhian: She's just too cute for her own good! I mean, she's a huge butterfly who loves eating cotton candy! Can you possibly get any cuter? XD
Ziazan: I've no clue as to whether Ziazan's a boy or girl, but androgony works for it, I guess. o.o Still, he's a smart kid and has some pretty cool skills!
