How often do you try to make an avatar on an online forum or game look like you? If you don't make it look like you, do you still aim for realism, or the utterly obscure? Have you ever dressed up as a character from something popular? I was just curious how the community goes about making its avatars. As for me, I've gone for the realistic look before, but as of right now, I'm dressed up as the MC Bat Commander from The Aquabats. So, wow me with your avatars and let me know what inspires you to make them!

Well, to be honest, my avatar was inspired by a drawing I made during a Spanish test.
It consisted of a man, with baggy pants, long sleeves, and lavish shirt-jacket, that had pockets in them with long spiky hair covering his left eye. He also wore a hat, although my current hat isn't like the one I drew, It's close.
Plus my character's name is Jasper, a buddy of mine thought it up. biggrin

just a few items i liked...
they all end up meaning something to/about me if i search long enough
heart=orphan... i loved that event...
wtf hat=meh... i like question marks...
book=one of the first items i got... i have it on most of my avatars... plus i like to read
srtings+phones=music...
shadow spirit=favorite MC...
the superior form is just for the sake of glitching off my eyes though >.>

I think my avi looks like me :3 I have really curly hair, but I straighten my bangs :d And the clothing style is basically what I wear pretty much every day razz I wish I had the bunny ears and the bear backpack :3 I also chose the eyes to be similar to mine (as in, not so big, and light/brownish/honey)
I'm also about that tall
Well, not really
But I'm very short
So yah

My avatar looks a bit like me. I want to keep it kind of realistic, but yet use the fact that you can do cool stuff with it.
It's important to me that the colours match and that there's a general balance.
I think my avatar reflects my personality. :3

I kinda... go with the flow of my moods...
Some of my avatars could look reaaaaalllllyyy emo... some could look really cheerful... depends on what I feel like dressing it, I usually go out of bounds from reality because well... i dun like reality...Lol
I guess in reality I Look emo... I get called emo so much its insane... Alot of my friends are emo too...Lol...

My avatar pretty much shows how I imagine myself looking. So when you say "Those are nice pants" you are basically saying "Those are nice balls." I really do intend to get a hat like it though, and wear it always.
