Why I think I'm better than most of the community
So you've found yourself on my profile page, well done. If you're of average intelligence, you should be able to read through it without feeling insulted. If not, perhaps you should just leave.You might be asking yourself, "Hey, why doesn't this guy change the look of his profile?" I'll tell you why, because this one looks just fine. Yes, I could fill it up with all kinds of pictures and gimmicks and add music, but then it would be a piece of s**t. If you've modified the look of your page, it's probably terrible. I've only seen one or two profiles since I started using the site that I actually liked, and it's more likely than not that yours isn't one of them. So what's so bad about them? Well for one thing, everyone likes to jumble together a bunch of images and text so you have to sift through everything to find what you went there for. It's always laid out badly, things often overlap, usually it's full of all this of bullshit to try to show individuality. Unfortunately, since everyone's page is the same shitpile of awful pictures (probably from some terrible anime) and mangled words, doing it will make you less individual. They are never functional, they're always annoying to look at, and the worst ones have the music player in some weird place so I can't always turn it off before the music starts. Sometimes there's also a music player and some shitty YouTube music video so I have to turn them both off.
Here's a tip for your page, EVERYONE HATES YOUR MUSIC. Just take it off. Even if someone happens to like what you have on (don't count on that), they won't leave it on because if they wanted to listen to music they'd already have their own on. And no one's leaving your ugly-as-s**t page on their screen so they can hear some song you have.
If you want, I can look at your profile page and tell you why it sucks. Drop me a comment. Just spell it right. If you can't spell simple words like "you," I'm not reading it. I do the same thing on the boards, if you mangled your post to the point of being barely legible, I'm not considering it worth my time to try and decode whatever stupid crap you might have been trying to communicate. Same thing for "post formats." They have the same problem as terrible profile pages, they're filled with awful images and text and on top of that, a one-sentence post can take up the length of my whole screen. Your post does not need to be filled with shitty images, links to thinks, "deep" words that describe your "dark" side, etc. Do you know why you have a signature? These are things that go in your signature. Signatures are fine because they aren't in the body of the post, so I don't have to sift through all your false individuality to get to what you're actually trying to say. Plus, there's a size limit. I've reported posts that had too much crap in them because they had so much crap in them. If you run out of space in your signature for whatever terrible stuff you wanted to put in it, then take out some of the terrible stuff that's already in it.
And there you go, I've told 99% of the community why they are terrible.
