Ancient times ================
Moyo (courage) & Jaha (honour) = brothers. Moyo stayed, Jaha set out. Mngojezi (steward) =Jaha's second
Kela's time ================ (Adults)
Mafunde (overcast sky) = Old Steward (King) M Makabhidi (guardian) - Second M Kidege (small bird) = Steward's Mate F Kianga (burst of sunshine) = lioness (Laini's sister) F Unyayo (pawprint)= lioness (Mafunde's daughter) F Laini (gentle) = lioness (Kianga's sister) F
Makabhidi x Laini (cubs) ------------------- Ardhi (earth)M Matifu (fine sands) F Kisulisuli (whirlwind) M Kinyamkela (storm that causes a whirlwind) F Mapepeaji (gentle breezes) F
Makabhidi x Kianga (cubs) ------------------- Nyesha (rain) F Zunguko (whirlpool) M
Mafunde x Kidege (juveniles/adolescents) ------------------ Chimbuza(Msafu) [Trouble,leaf] M {left tribe} Johari (jewel) F Misali (symbol) F
Mafunde grows old. Proud Makabhidi tends to think of himself as leader now; he is younger and stronger. but he will still bow to the wishes of the steward, unknowing of the fact that it is his young son the old lion favours. After Mafunde's son abandoned the pride, he looked more closely at the younger generation, at the children of the two bright sisters. Laini and Kianga were still young in years, and adored Makabhidi; they were also of the true colours still, silver and white as the storm-clouds as opposed to the earthy tones of many. Makabhidi did not care for the past, rather looking to the future; he scorned the ancient language and relics as outdated. When two of his newest litter were born with the old-blood markings, he frowned, and named them trouble - storms and whirlwinds. But for their fierce titles, Mafunde realises they will be taught in the old ways, and love them like he does. The female is a little headstrong, and dreams of rediscovering the ancient lands; the male more caring of the continuation of the Tufani-wana and keeping their ways alive. Little does he know, but Makabhidi will be passed over in favour of his small son, Kisulisuli. However Maka is not a bad lion; he greatly respects Mafunde and loves his two families. Though resentful, he will support Kisulisuli. Apart from anything else, it will mean that his is the blood that is carried onto Stewardship of the growing pride. Kinyamkela however followed her dreams and the wanderlust within her carried her far over the mountains; she knew she had both her brother's and the Steward's blessing to discover just what had become of the ancient ones, the Mistweavers.
