Welcome to The League of Special Individuals! This is our thread for weekly announcements, so check back here often for updates. Each update will include general guild news and what has been happening in the roleplay for the past week, but before we get to that, lets talk a little bit more about the guild itself. Mission Statement: Here at the League of Special Individuals is it our goal to create a fun roleplaying atmosphere for both advanced and new roleplayers, to help all members to improve their grammar and creative writing skills through roleplay, and to tell a kickass story. I'm sure you're wondering what to do now. Well, let me tell you: 1. Read this thread for helpful info and delightful weekly announcements! Now coming every Sunday night!2. Go to the Character Workshop and complete the tasks. (You might want to check out Character Challenges for ideas) 3. Once you've completed your profile and gotten it okayed by a member of crew, you may post it under The Rules. While you're there, make sure to read those rules. You will be held to them. 4. Be sure to check out Channel Q News for reports on in-game shannagans. 5. The first thing you'll want to do is create your character's home. It is highly encouraged that this be in one of the four housing threads, but if you have a unique character requiring a unique location, you are welcome to create your own home thread. For example, if your character owns their own business and lives where they work, then by all means create the business location with a note that your character lives there. Good examples are Joshs house or Adohi Forest. 6. If you have any questions, send them to a member of crew: Captain: Atrox Saint Vice Captain: Nivedita Vidula Other Crew: Mayday22, Mankind Unmitigated

Rules for the main forum:1. This is not Chatterbox. No bumping threads. 2. Keep a civil tongue in your head. Avoid swearing, flaming, trolling, and generally being an @$$. 3. Post in regulation size and in dark blue or black text. Centering your text is ok. 4. Any violations of these rules will be handled by myself or the crew. 5. I reserve the right to change these rules at any time. Rules for the Plot Think Tank:This forum is nearly the same as the main forum, but all threads must keep a roleplay related theme. Roleplaying RulesThese can be found in the tutorial, but not in any one specific place in the tutorial. It's Nevi's own personal trick to get you to read the whole thing. She designed it for both newer and more advanced roleplayers, and there is something in there for everyone to take away. It's also the thread for questions relating to the guild, and you can learn some nifty facts about your crew, and look at blackmail photos. It's pretty user friendly. (P.S. Yes, the role playing rules can also be found in "The Rules" thread. Still, I love that tutorial.) NPC GuidelinesThe guidelines to using Non-Playable Characters can be found here. Donating to the guildIf you wish to make a donation to the guild, send a trade to the account Captain Pasty. This is because we would prefer to use the balance for funding contests, and if you donate it directly to the guild then the crew has no way to access the funds. There is a link to open a trade with Captain Pasty on the guild homepage, or access his profile through the memberlist, he's crew. Make Sure to Check in With the Recruit Thread!Captain Pasty is running his own Recruiting Thread to try and stir up some new heroes. It would mean the world to him if you could stop by and discus the Role Play a little.

The Adventure Begins... Again!: 9/1/08 Ah, Delmor: the peaceful islandinsula community. But it won’t be much longer. The music super-group B.A.N.D. is moving to the neighborhood and their riot-inducing music promises to turn this quaint little town on its head. Meanwhile, ex-hero Josh Baroob tries to find his place in normal society. Somewhere between the monotony of school, work, and videogames, the spirit of justice still calls to him. All he really needs is a push in the right direction… At Delmor Unity High, Prom is around the corner. That means the school is buzzing with the hormone-driven search for dates. Normally, Josh would separate himself from this drama with the intensity of a cat fleeing water, but a new student has revealed a disastrous plot. It seems B.A.N.D. is planning to reign on this prom night. Now his only chance to save his classmates is to infiltrate Prom. And in order to do that, he’s going to have to face his toughest challenge yet: girls. To our returning members, welcome back! To our new members, congratulations! Is everyone else excited for round two? I think everyone knows this already, but just to make sure, I'll say it here. We're starting with "Chapter Zero" this time, an arch that takes place roughly half a year before where we started last time. The plot is going to focus heavily on Delmor Unity High, but don't despair if your character isn't in High School. There's always something going on in Delmor... EDIT: I'm also pleased to announce that our new Recruiting Thread is up and running!

Relative Time and Relative Weather: 9/10/08 Between Internet issues and return to school, it's been difficult for me to get on LoSI. Now that I'm getting the hang of my classes and homework, you can expect the adventure to really get started. So far, all of you have been doing some amazing work! On that note, I'd like to explain a few interesting features of Delmor: Relative Time and Relative Weather. All this means is that it doesn't have to be the same time in all of Delmor. Right now it's evening in the forest, early afternoon at the academy, and morning for many of the school-going citizens. The same goes for weather. This feature can be mentioned for a cheap laugh or two, but it can never be used to give your character any kind of advantage. If you abuse it, you'll get a warning. Warnings are bad.

The Adventure Begins (for Realz This Time!) 10/3/08 Alright, so I lied. My poor scheduling proved to be a greater obstacle than expected. But I'm on now with a pledge to post far more often (and you can hold me to that). On a related note, I'll be officially starting the guild's policy on inactivity this monday. That means you're all expected to post at least once a week starting on 10/6/08. Failure to do so will result in a warning and, eventually, banning from the guild. But I know it won't come to that. The other note for today is a policy change. I'll be posting as this chapter's main villain soon, but you'll notice I haven't (and won't) post a profile for them. From now on, many antagonistic, plot related characters played by crew members won't have posted profiles to encourage speculation among players. If you want to pass theories on these character's powers and/or motives, The Plot Think Tank is the place to do it. That's all from me.

Update 11/19/08 I was in a play. Those of you who have done drama will hopefully understand how these things can eat up your life. I'm going to send out PMs today to touch base with our members and see who is still invested in this...

Happy Thanksgiving! 11/27/08 Welcome back to everyone who has made it through the funk of low-posting with us, and we apologize for how little activity there has been as of late. We weren't exactly sure where to bring the plot next (too many ideas were floating around) and so the whole thing kind of got a little away from us. However, we, the crew, have regrouped and are ready to go once more for this and the next few chapters of the LoSI story. So I thought I would take some time to wish all those people celebrating a Happy Thanksgiving to have a happy holiday on behalf of the LoSI crew (since Atrox is at his grandmother's house for the weekend and they no can has internetz!), and to let you all know that we are ready to go after the holiday. Lets all get to Prom before the next holiday! I updated Channel Q for anyone who is interested, and have posted a question in About: Locations (located in the Plot Think Tank) that I'd like you to read. Plus, MU has posted a fancy new thread over yonder. So welcome back, everybody! Lets make it a fun ride!

Danger Brews in Delmor 12/5/08 Children playing with coffins and roadside transformations? All just part of another day in Delmor. But the mysterious BAND seems to have something sinister in store. Who are they and what do they want? If you've ever considered joining or have joined, but haven't been posting, now is the time to get involved! Chapter Zero is just heating up!

Happy Holidays to All our Crazy Characters! We'd like to extend a warm *glomp* to anyone and everyone in the spirit of the season. Here at LoSI we have quite the cast of characters in our midst, so I want you all to have a great time no matter how you are celebrating the season. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Blessed Yule, etc etc etc. Have a really great holiday, and a really great start to a brand new year. Be Safe, and Many Blessings to you all in this year and the next! ~The Crew of The League of Special IndividualsALSO: We made a change to the housing system, and consolidated housing into grouped locations. Any existing member is welcome to keep their own thread, but if you have not yet/do not plan on using your home thread for much, then you are encouraged to move into one of these threads. Check them out and decide what you would like to do, and if you want to consolidate, PM the following information to Nivedita Vidula so she can add you to the housing section. Housing Location(burbs, hotel, suites, etc) Character Name - (user name) - Desired Address: Quick Description of the home For example: The SuburbsCait Kassidy - (Nivedita Vidula) - 222 Muddle Way: Random rock or dance music can typically be heard blasting at all hours of the day and night, and if you are particularly unlucky, you may even hear her shrieking along in nothing that can be remotely called a tune. Cait spends most of her time in her room working on homework with her desk, computer, and coffee maker. She has not cleaned in roughly a year and a half, so it is easy to get lost in the piles of filth. Thanks for your cooperation guys!

Contests and New Members! 12/30/08 EH YOU GUYS!!!! You should all go check out the new announcement in Channel Q about prom and see the contest I am offering to see what your characters would wear to prom. All the information is in the thread in the main forum, so get to it! I'd also like to welcome two new members (and one older one who just started to post...). AlmaPhoenix and a91nicole have just joined us. They've put a lot of work into their profiles and I for one am excited to have them. I'd also like to welcome Kenji and EowynJedi back to us (though Kenji has yet to post his profile...I think...) At any rate, both are great roleplayers and it is good to see them back in LoSI. Finally, I'd like to remind everyone of the existence of our recruit thread. I've been speaking with a few of our older members and heard some complaints of inactivity. One way to increase activity is to get new members in here. Recently we've been doing a great job paying attention to the recruit thread and I'd like to keep that up. If you ever feel like the guild is not active enough, then you ought to get over to the recruit thread to try to attract some attention. Another tip to get some activity back in is to send PM's to members that you are trying to RP with to remind them of what is going on/gently let them know that you have posted. We can do this guys, and activity problems are just one more issue that new guilds run into. It's everyone's responsibility to work together on pulling us out of it. Atrox has set a goal of one new person a week, so lets work together and see what we can do! Happy New Year! Have an awesome and prosperous 2009!

Weekly Announcements: 1/5/09 Welcome to another week in Delmor! There's a few more faces around town, so make sure you keep up to date on the action! In case you haven't already noticed, Nevi is hosting a Prom Contest. Many members have joined, but anyone who hasn't should jump on in! Speaking of prom, it's coming up. As it gets closer, things will really start heating up around here. Just a reminder to a few of our members, don't forget to get your profile wrapped up in the Character Workshop. Or, if your name is Kenji, don't forget to post! We miss you!

Weekly Announcements: 1/12/09 Prom keeps coming ever closer as B.A.N.D. decides to have a spontaneous concert. Will their true intent be revealed? Will we at least find out what makes them so dangerous? As many of you know, Vice Captain Nivedita Vidula is in Ireland for the semester. She has limited Internet access and is five hours ahead of those of us on the East Coast, but she will keep up as best she can. I've been struggling to figure out what to put on these weekly announcements other than more plot teasers. After much deliberation, I've decided to post a weekly trivia question. The first person to PM me with the answer (yes, crew can participate) will win 100 gold for each day the question has been up with a cap at 700 gold. Each week I'll post the answer and the winner (if there is one). The answers will always be findable within the guild, they might just take a little searching. This week's question is a day late, so it's already worth 200 gold. "What is Josh's middle name?"
