A few adventurous people have decided to live on houseboats in Delmor, and though they are not very big, and not ideal for year-round living, some people still choose this lifestyle. There are bathroom and shower buildings on the mainland for people who live in the boats. This lifestyle not recommended for people with easily upset stomachs.

Jay lives on the houseboat named "Neptune's Lie". It's a relatively small place to live and the close-quarters serve to make Jay's strained relationship with her parents even worse. They also have a propane grill out on the dock which they do most of their cooking on. There are bikes chained to the back of the boat because the I dock is about as far away from the bathroom as you can get, and at 2 AM when you have to pee, it's important to make it up the dock in a hurry.
