Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heav'n. This is our song to Lucifer, Lucis Ferre, Heosphoros, the Morning Star, the Brilliant One and the Son of the Morning. He is equated with Samhazai, the Heaven-Seizer, and Azazel, one of the 200 Fallen Angels of Enoch. The essence of overweening pride and unearthly angelic beauty. A regal scent, glowing darkly, elegant and patrician, but unfathomably desolate. Cherubic white sandalwood and golden musk with a dark halo of amber, a breath of imperial florals, unbending woods, and the shadow cast by vetiver and violet.
 .....Sandalwood..........Sandalwood is a small tree that grows primarily in India. The wood of its stem, which grows from 20 to 30 feet high, is heavy and straight-grained and varies in color from white when young to yellow or orange when older. its oval leaves are covered with a whitish bloom; its small flowers, varying in color, grow in numerous cymes.
.....The essential oil contains high amounts of alpha- and beta-santalol. These small molecules possess antibacterial and sedative properties. Synthetic sandalwood does not contain the active ingredients.
.....The medicinal properties of sandalwood reside in the oil, which can be pressed from the wood or extracted with alcohol or water. The antiseptic and disinfectant properties of this oil are similar to those of cubeb oil. The oil can also be used for bronchitis and for inflammation in mucous tissue. A decoction of the wood may be helpful for indigestion and fever and externally for skin problems, especially those of bacterial origin.
.....Sandalwood cools and calms the entire body and mind. It affects the circulatory, digestive, respiratory and nervous systems. It relieves fever, thirst, burning sensation and stops sweating. It is good for fever or overexposure to the sun.
.....Sandalwood is good for most of inflammatory conditions and for cleansing the blood. The oil or paste is useful for most infectious sores or ulcers if applied externally.
.....Sandalwood helps the awakening of intelligence. It also aids in the transmutation of sexual energy. .....Musk..........Musk is the name originally given to a substance with a penetrating odor obtained from a gland of the male musk deer, which is situated between its stomach and genitals. The substance has been used as a popular perfume fixative since ancient times and is one of the most expensive animal products in the world. The name, originated from Sanskrit muṣká meaning "testicle", has come to encompass a wide variety of substances with somewhat similar odors although many of them are quite different in their chemical structures. They include glandular secretions from animals other than the musk deer, numerous plants emitting similar fragrances, and artificial substances with similar odors.
.....Until the late 19th century the fragrance was only obtained from natural sources. Now synthesized compounds are used almost exclusively. The organic compound primarily responsible for the characteristic odor of musk is muscone. .....Vetiver..........Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides) is a perennial grass of the Poaceae native to India. The name vetiver is native to the Tamil language. Old Tamil literature mentions the usage of vetiver for medical purposes. Vetiver can grow up to 1.5 meters high and form clumps as wide. The stems are tall and the leaves are long, thin and rather rigid. The flowers are brownish purple. Unlike most grasses which form horizontally spreading mat-like root systems, vetiver's roots grow downward up to 2-4 meters in depth. Vetiver is closely related to other fragrant grasses such as Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus), citronella (Cymbopogon nardus, C. winterianus) and Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii). Though it originates in India, Vetiver is widely cultivated in the tropical regions of the world. The world's major producers include Haiti, India, Java, and Réunion.
.....The oil is amber brown and rather thick. The odor of vetiver oil is described as deep, sweet, woody, smoky, earthy, amber, balsam. The best quality oil is obtained from roots that are 18 to 24 months old. The roots are dug up and cleaned then dried. Before the distillation, the roots are chopped and soaked in water. The distillation process can take up to 18 to 24 hours. After the distillate separates into the essential oil and hydrosol, the oil is skimmed off and allowed to age for a few months to allow some undesirable notes which form during the distillation to dissipate. Like patchouli and sandalwood essential oils, the odor of vetiver develops and improves with aging. The characteristics of the oil can vary significantly depending on where the grass is grown and the climate and soil conditions. The oil distilled in Haiti and Réunion has a more floral quality to it and is considered of higher quality than the oil from Java which has a smokier scent. In the north of India, an oil is distilled from wild-growing vetiver. This oil is known as Khus or Khas and is considered superior to the oil obtained from the cultivated variety. It is rarely found outside of India as most of it is consumed within the country. .....Violet..........Viola, commonly called Violets, is a genus of flowering plants in the family Violaceae, with around 400-500 species distributed around the world. Most species are found in the temperate Northern Hemisphere, however viola species are also found in widely divergent areas such as Hawaii, Australasia, and the Andes in South America.
.....Most viola species are small perennial plants, some are annual plants, and a few are small shrubs. A number of species are grown for their ornamental flowers in borders and rock gardens; the garden pansy in particular is an extensively used spring and autumn/winter bedding and pot plant.
.....Viola odorata is used as a source for scents in the perfume industry. Viola odorata is a species of the genus Viola native to Europe and Asia, but has also been introduced to North America and Australasia. It is commonly known as Sweet Violet, English Violet, Common Violet, or Garden Violet. The herb is known as Banafsa, Banafsha or Banaksa in India, where it is commonly used as remedy to cure sore throat and tonsilitis.
.....Viola odorata is quite similar to other species of violet, but can be distinguished by the following characteristics: the flowers have a sweet scent, the flowers are normally either dark violet or white, the leaves and flowers are all in a basal rosette, the style is hooked (and does not end with a rounded appendage), the leaf-stalks have hairs which point downwards, and the plant spreads with stolons (above-ground shoots).
.....The species can be found near the edges of forests or in clearings; it is also a common "uninvited guest" in shaded lawns or elsewhere in gardens. The flowers appear as early as February and last until the end of April. .....Amber..........Revered for its stimulating properties. Amber has a light musky scent, which recalls the sensuous atmosphere of the Orient.
.....Oil of amber is a fine, transparent, ponderous, yellow oil, procured from spirit of amber by increasing the heating temperature. This, by rectification, was once used as an antihysteric and emmenagogue, being very fluid and penetrative.
.....Spirit of amber was procured from amber by pulverising and distilling it using a sand bath. It was chiefly used externally for rheumatic aches and pains, and internally in inveterate gleets.

 Growth Requirements
>> Unlit Scent
The first and second stages are the shortest. This is the unlit burner,
where the incense stands alone, unlit and basically just smelling good.
>> Lit Scent
At this stage the candle is introduced, which evaporates the
oil and lets it dispurse through wherever you put the burner in the first place.
>> Child Scent
The most impressionable stage. The child will already have a
few character traits to it from it's original scent, but this is where you
are able to mold them into what you want them to be. The clothes will
be very simple, nothing too complex, and the child will always be in some
sort of sitting stance. And anyone around them will smell their faint scent.
>> Adolescent Scent
The stage we all hate. They're teenagers, they're rambunctious,
they want to drive you absolutely nuts. Teen Scents have the strongest
scent in the stages, they're at the peek of their youth and they like to
express it. Their clothes are more outrageous and complex during this stage.
>> Adult Scent
Finally, maturity. During this stage the Scent's scent dies down
a little, not being as strong as it once was. Their clothes are more sophisticated or elegant
and express what we may consider maturity to be. At this stage they are
also able to reproduce, having one or two children in their lifetime. Twins
are very rare, but not impossible.
>> Elder Scent
Their scent is almost faded, but their beauty is still there. Elder
scents are the last stage of a Scents life, the beauty of maturity, they give
off that 'all knowing' look that all the younger Scents can't stand. Their
clothes will indicate their wisdom and the beauty that follows it.
>> Scent Maker
