Punishment by Denial Journal Entry 002
Patience is truly a virtue.
Every day my boys remind me of this. They are both incredibly good and incredibly misbehaved. They mean well, usually, and explore anything and everything without any real thought as to the impacts it will have. Which, I suppose, is how a child learns of his world but I wonder sometimes…. Are they really that unaware, or playing at it? One moment they’ll be children, playing in the livingroom with the toys I’ve purchased for them and the next they’ll be deep in conversation about something philosophical they’ve read in one of my books.
It’s curious and makes me hope a bright future awaits them.
And then there are the days where they are complete brats. Like today.
Today…. Today was such a terrible day. Yesterday, I allowed them to wander around and they ended up pinching nearly two dozen samples from a variety of stalls. Far more then what would be sufficient for any one (or two, in this case) people. I had no choice but to restrict their movements and keep them from the festival as punishment – I can’t condone greed like that.
But, in hindsight, perhaps I should have made them give it all back. They were just samples…. And no harm was really done. I have a headache from their constant complaints. I am no evil man, am I? I feel kind of bad, they seem so anxious….
Perhaps we will go for a little while tomorrow.
I will update this journal after I’ve thought on it. For now, they are saying it is dinner time. I wonder what Arcanos has prepared, it smells delicious.

Grounded!
We couldn’t go to the festival today!
At all!
It’s not fair! The samples were free! They said we could have some! Not our fault if the silly vendor isn’t looking and we like their samples. They were good, or pretty, or smelly, or whatever.
I really liked the candy one; the ball with several layers of flavour. Apparently there were bigger balls like that. I wonder if I can get father to buy us one. I really want to go tomorrow but he’s being a horrible tormentor and keeping us in this room.
He won’t even listen to us when we say we’re sorry!
We’re not… really. Well, sort of. I’m sorry he’s upset. I’m sorry so many were taken, since he has a problem with that, but I’m not sorry I took any.
Neither am I!
But, at least we met Kaoru again. She has boobs! And trees growing from her shoulders. She’s really very pretty and smells wonderful – goes well with us. I hope we can be as handsome and wonderful as her when we grow. Then we’ll be able to attract and gather crowds like Kaoru does.
To do that, though, we probably need to know people.
Tomorrow we’ll just meet lots of people and make friends. They’ll come to use next time, for sure.
Oops! Dinner’s ready! But our plan is set! Mission: Charm Everyone is a go!

In the Wake of Disaster It's hard to imagine that someone would be killed before your eyes. For me, though, I've seen that happen and I never expected it to occur here. A woman, called Amryx, died at the Festival. Or rather, she was murdered by some other creature. Moana, a woman I met only briefly the day before, apparently fought off the villain though I am not sure. As soon as all hell let loose, I'd gathered up my twins and left.
I am not a fighter. Far from it. And the saftey of my family comes first. If there is something I can do for Olivia - I heard her screams as I left and they sent chills down my spine - I will be sure to do it. For now, though, I want my boys to understand that there's a murderer in town.
That's what this journal is for. It's a log of information for them to reference. And a place for them to let me know what their activities are.~~~ A journal for dates huh? Some lady died and some other lady killed her. The screams were really scary, but doesn't everyone die at some point? I feel bad, everybody's so blue and down. Maybe the samples we stole borrowed from the fair will cheer people up.
Yah! That'll help, I think. If we can get father to let us go play and explore again. He's been so cautious recently. Is it really that bad?
Have to see.

Instead of running into lots of sad people, however, they meet Rhiloss. They try to glean information from the boy but he proves to be a dead end. Instead, they end up proving to the icy scent that someone did indeed die. They leave thinking he's a useless creature. FINISHED

.....:: || Role Play || ::.....Link.....:: || Summary || ::.....The vial Rhiloss took from Lucian and Rion ended up getting him in trouble and the icy scent went looking for them. They end up fighting and scuffling, Rhiloss looses because he's tag-teamed by the twins. The twins then offer to give him something better then stinky perfume but only if he does something for them. Rhiloss agrees and goes dumpster diving for crystals while the twins pinch a project Cyr had just finished as his reward. FINISHED

Lucian and Rion see Rhiloss as an enemy rather then a friend or a rival now and severely disapprove of Cyr's friendly gesture. FINISHED

They have a nice conversation and both the twins decide that Arius would make a wonderful ally, even if he's somehow related to their enemy Rhiloss.
