Chaoscarrier

Sai watched Takera curiously, listening to his tale with growing interest. "Sounds like my brother, he was always the cruel one. I, however, am the sweet one." A laugh pushed passed his lips and he went back to changing from his stolen rags to the uniform of the general. Listening as he moved, the man began to remove several small scrolls from the pockets of his pants. There were five in total. Each were made of a glossy black parchment and tied with a purple string. Lining them next to each other he took one and span it on it's side before looking back at Takera. "So... got forced into labor by my brother. He discarded you when he got whatever it was he wanted. You got forced into more labor. Your brother died... mmm, this is where I'm jumping to conclusions but that chakra is your dead brother?" Sai waved his hand and shrugged, "I've heard stranger things and seen worse. Just imagine having your own sibling castrate you with their bare hands.. wait, don't imagine that, it's not pretty.

Anyways, sounds like you're doing alright for yourself at least... you're still alive. Never forget that."
With a finger he stopped the spinning scroll and with the same finger flicked it so it would speed towards the boy. "Keep that on you. If you can, avoid using it it'll be very upsetting to you, but if you like living and find yourself in a situation you're about to die break the tie, toss it and get far or get inside something safe." Grinning he took the remaining four scrolls and stowed them away inside his uniform. Walking around the table he made for the exit of the hut. Once again his image bled away and the face of the general reappeared. Turning around he faced Takera and took a deep breath before letting it out in a loud sigh. "I'll help you." The man said, his voice changed already from the whimsical sound of Sai to the stern sound of the General. "I'll help you save your friends. But you owe me and one day I will collect that debt. But for now, what's your plan?"

Takera's eyes trained upon the scroll as it spun on his fingers. His attention slightly diverted from the pot shots of simplified statements about his past and predicaments. In a sudden moment Sai stopped and flicked the scroll at him. Takera reflexively shot an arm up, palm open to catch it. He rose back to his feet and turned his hand around, his fingers curling away from the center of his palm to reveal a small glossy black scroll tied with purple string. One of the five he pulled free from his pants.

>"..you're still alive. Never forget that."<

Those words coming from Sai seemed peculiar to Takera, but never the less they resonated with him. "Being alive won't do me much good if--" Takera was cut off by Sai's continuing explanation of the scroll.

>"but if you like living and find yourself in a situation you're about to die break the tie, toss it and get far or get inside something safe."<

Takera's eyebrows fuzzled as his head tilted back in surprise. The amount of power inside of the scroll had to be unimaginable. Does he always carry miniature doomsday devices on his person..? Takera thought to himself as he tucked the scroll away into his clothes in a hidden pocket. Sai transformed once more as he addressed the matter at hand. Surprisingly he agreed to help. Takera's head turned a little to one side while his eyes remained fixated upon him. I.. owe a debt.. to one of the two responsible for the greatest misfortunes in my life. I can only imagine what he's going to want from me. My liver? My kidney? Takera frowned as the thoughts crossed his mind over his 'debt'.

>"What's the plan?"<

"That's a good question. Up until now I've been rolling with it, trying to garner support for the causes, but in reality there are a handful of objective points right now. Ranking, highest priority first, I need to make sure my friends are still safe. Shun, for certain will be held by the guards in the city somewhere unless he's found a means of escape. It's possible Averus is with him, but I watched him flee before the guards could take him, so it's possible he's trying to find Shun.. or even potentially trying to tackle another of our objectives." Takera cusped his chin between his thumb and index finger rubbing lightly as he looked out toward the tent wall. "Normally I would put the village's priorities next, but unless you have any good ideas, I can't imagine us taking that giant of man down, much less anyone above him if they happen to be stronger than him. He gave me chills just looking at him, .. sort of like you do." Takera remarked before making a fist and coughing into it as he glanced away. "Anyways, there's something far more precious in this city. Something that could benefit us both and possibly still appease the village to some extent. The rare mineral known as Atium is being processed somewhere in the citadel and is likely heavily protected." Takera noted. He took a few slow steps around the other side of the table as to begin pacing. "Though, if the opportunity presents itself while we're there, there is something of great valuable supposedly hidden away in the Throne Room. It'd be most beneficial for me if we run into trouble as I haven't quite gotten all my barings back and I'm currently without a proper means of fighting. Optional, of course." Takera stated before pausing and turning back to Sai. "The hard part is that I had originally planned to use the Rebels as a means of distraction to get in and secure two objectives. The hidden treasure in the throne room, and to free a potential asset named "Leoman of the Flails" who was captured and chained up by the city. What would you prefer that we do? Given your disguise, we might be able to bring in the Generals, or at least still make use of the rebels somehow. Of course, .. there's always the underlying fact that you're probably capable of things an average citizen or guard could only dream in their darkest nightmares. I'm not opposed if a direct approach is more your style."

With the general's face, Sai frowned at the young man's comments. "A direct approach would be way to risky, there's simply too many monsters here." Drawing his bottom lip in to bite, the man crossed his arms to think for a moment. "Mm, for example that giant? He would likely cut me in half before I could ever manage to take him down in a head on fight... that man's- that thing is otherworldly. He drags death behind him like it's his own personal toy. And he's frankly not the only person here that is like that.

It's a strange thing but power draws power, always. Call them legends, monsters, gods, whatever have you but if you let the paths of two meet you can expect a converging, and that's what we got here. A mixing pot of a bunch of unimaginable forces ready to collide and personally, I'm not fool enough to think I could survive another."
Sai shook his head, stepping into the doorway of the hut so he could peer outside. A sandstorm was coming, the roar of the wind could be heard clearly despite it's distance. "The generals were planning on sending a separate attacks. The force that you just saw is just some rag tag group of volunteers, they don't count for much. They have twelve hundred soldiers ready to attack the front gates. I have command over about two hundred of those soldiers, you are going to suit up and join them. If you're friends were captured they'll be in the dungeons, most likely in the first or second level, anything below that and I doubt they'll be alive by the time we arrive.

We'll be the third wave going into the city. Our orders are to raid the stores of the merchants, with the amount of men they have they wont be able to do much against the holy army but they can hurt them. We will use the chaos of the looting to break into the citadel and find your friends. As for the Atium and the treasures in the throne room, we'll see how that goes."
Exiting from the hut, Sai would walk off to rejoin the army of rebels that had been positioned on a path that led back to the gates of Aren. Takera would be left on his own to figure out where to find proper armor for himself.

Takera arched a brow and crossed his arms as Sai went into depth on the negatives of a direct approach and how steep this conflict of forces really was. It was almost hard to imagine someone with such a reputation still having enemies even remotely close to his class in power. Takera continued to listen silently as Sai laid out the information about the dungeons, the soldiers he now commanded, and their strategy of producing chaos in the city and taking advantage of the panic. Takera watched as Sai exited the hut, leaving him to his own devices.

So, .. both? Takera thought to himself. "Hm. I wonder if anything useful is stowed in here." Takera peered back around the room and as he turned, he bumped his leg across the table. He paused for a second as it sounds like the clank of metal coming from below it. "What's this?" Takera reached down and gripped the under side of the table, slowly heaving it up. The corpse of the General slid off the other end of the table with a crumpled thud. Takera glanced upon a large box shaped object covered in what appeared to be a throw rug or tapestry of some sort. He leaned the table completely onto it's shorter side before pulling back the cover to reveal a big metal chest. On the front of it was a partly rusted ringed handle. Takera grabbed hold of the ring and lifted the lid open. Inside was a pristine folded blue cloth of some sort with a brown parchment laid upon it. Takera lifted the parchment and began to read to himself.

>"Here is the completely restored armor recovered from the soldier who was went missing in action during recent endeavors. Some of my best work."<

"Strange. It's doesn't appear to be signed." Takera said to himself as he flipped the parchment over to a blank backside. Takera pulled free the cloth finding that it was attached to backside of an armor piece. After a short moment of sorting out the armor pieces and stripping the excess clothing, he began to slip on the armor section by section until he was completely adorned. The armor actually felt surprisingly good and even looked like something that far passed what one might think a weary lot of rebels in the desert could provide. Looking back into the chest, Takera noticed something encompassing the entire bottom of it. He pulled free a shield, with a sword sheath strap around it. Upon flipping it over he found a sheathed sword. Once fully adorned, Takera glanced up and down himself at the armor with partial admiration. Takera walked over to the entrance and peered out across the area. He noticed Sai uniting with the soldiers. "Well, here it goes." Takera said as he left the tent/hut and traveled out to the Army. He watched the soldiers carefully as he entered, observing their movements and mannerisms. Melding in closer to the front lines, trying his best to keep the General, Sai in diguise, in sight.
