Significants of Markings: Each signifies a special trait about him, mostly retaining to his family within a tribal pride. He being from a royal line, the mark on his forehead. Royal family was seen as the closest to the Gods, the back markings. And the shoulder markings are a sign of absolute defense for protection.

Bio:Once an heir to a pride of tribal lions, the pride was torn apart by a raid of neighboring prides to claim their lands. Females were taken, males were killed, and the king put to death as the last to die, finishing the assault. Without a mother's presence and the dying king, Iorek had no other choice but to gather what he had left of the pride and move on. With the males dead or fled, the females captured or fled, there was no one left within the pride. The royal family had fallen down to a single two and the pride to no claim, the land ravaged and destroyed. The young cub had no choice but to take his twin sister and leave their home.
Traveling as a pair with his sister through his life and with some aid from passing strangers, the two had grown up into a close knit pair.
Iorek became a strong hunter and one with great pride in himself and his little sister. He is much bigger than his petite sister, he is very protective of the only family he has left. One may see the two sharing gestures of affection as cleanings and nuzzling, but with what they had gone through, they are still afraid of losing one another.
Iorek has great self-discipline and being with Yorik throughout her entire life, he had grown oblivious, or rather ignores, her moments in heat. During such times, he would guard her from any pathetic male who dare try to take her from him. Secretly, he is afraid of mating. If he were to make, he believes he would focus on this other lioness than his own sister and when cubs come about, he would have no time for her and would leave a window for a rogue to take her away. He is afraid that if she were to mate, she would become pregnant. In his mindset, he believes that his sister is frail and weak, bearing cubs would kill her. So he plans to stick with his sister and keep her safe as long as he can.
