The river's attacking!
Featuring: Child Kitrio, Child Aria, and Child Damien
ChibiPoet Pic of KitA small harpie child peered out of the nearly leafless branches of a tree alongside the mouth of the river. He didn't know the name of the tree... Azure had probably told him, but he'd forgotten. He was very still for a long time before deciding that there was no one around. With a little hop motion, he was out of the tree and crouched on the water's edge, admiring his reflection and preening.[[OOC: I figured I'd start short.]] Carmel-Filled TeaCup gonk It closed the window! Aria swam in the river. She was bruised and beaten up from her swimming. She was getting better but she couldn't swim like the older Syrins could. As she looked up at the sky a new appearance came into her focus. She broke the surface of the water splashing the creature. "Hi!" she musically squeaked. Sabra Knight Carmel! You're back! biggrin
Okay, I can use Damien then since he's a syrin as well...and maybe Xylia later. 3nodding The boy syrin allowed the currents to lead him this time instead of fighting them. He was tired of swimming around and was on the way home for the time being.
Once again he saw something that made him blink twice, it was a syrin girl who blended in with the water! ...Something was oddly familiar about her...it couldn't be that egg could it? And then he saw the harpy boy...moving he broke surface behind the other syrin and floated so that he could observe before making himself known. ChibiPoet [[I hate when windows close. Especially one fingers. razz ]] "Squaaak!" The now wet and feathered child scrambled backward until his back connected with the trunk of the nearby tree. "The river's attacking me!" he shouted, belatedly remembering that he'd gone elsewhere and didn't have Azure close by to protect him. What would he do! His feathers were a mess and he was under attack!Carmel-Filled TeaCup Aria shocked by the creatures response she leaped back as well. "The river's attacking?" She shrieked. No one told her that the river attacked people! She started to cry but her crying was more of musical wind chimes than annoying sobs. "Why does the river attack?" In her leap back she hit another thing. "Don't attack me!!" She shrieked. Sabra Knight { xd Have you seen the dancing harpy as well?}Damien sighed....the girl in front of him must be a newly hatched. But that harpy's reaction was grand as well...Swimming behind Aria he couldn't help but to be mischievous, "Yes, it is!" He whispered in a deeper demonic like voice, "It also loves to devour little syrin girls like yourself." With that he splashed her before diving back under. Carmel-Filled TeaCup {Meh I couldn't resist! Can't have her battle wolftaurs when she should be afraid of everything!}
Crying even more Aria tried to stay afloat when all of a sudden the river spoke to her. It said it wanted to eat her then it hit her with water. "No! I don't taste good! Help! Help!" She couldn't control herself now. Her sobs now sounded like wind chimes in a hurricane. How could this river like her? Was she really that tasty?ChibiPoet rofl [[What? Omygosh, no! I'd love to see it. ]] Deciding he wouldn't be easy prey for whatever the river had in mind, Kitrio hopped up and pulled hard on a thin branch and held it as though it were a weapon. It was a rather thin branch, little more than a twig.
He was confused for a moment by the river's... crying? Or was it laughing at him? His face burned with mixed shame and emberasment for letting the river catch him off guard. "You'll not eat me!" he shouted, waving his stick. Sabra Knight {Here's a link to them...but here's the harpy. xd HarpyDamien laughed but silently resurfaced before hugging the smaller syrin. "Just kidding...the river is not going to harm you." He rubbed comfortingly on her back as he'd seen his older sister Willow do to her patients.
He led her to the beach, "You! Harpy, I don't think I want to eat you...." But the whole sight made him burst out laughing...."I can't believe you two!" He wiped his eyes as they burned with humerus tears. But he knew that if it weren't for the syrin crying, he'd would of been even more tempted to trick them....ChibiPoet As the water calmed and Kit got a good look at what was in the water, he hopped back again, bumping into the tree. A distressed female and a male who wasn't going to eat him. But what were they. They looked like food with faces. His tongue quickly darted across his lip at the thought of tasty fish, but these had faces and could talk... he supposed they weren't food.
"What are you?" he asked, head cocked to one side. Sabra Knight "Harpies." Muttered Damien still in good humor, "We're syrins...fish like taur." He paused searching for another explanation, "Humans have called us mer-people before." He glared as he recognized that hungry look, "And no we are not food! Just to make that clear...no food." He grinned, "But we sometimes do enjoy the occasional bird..." His tail flicked in the water, "Now the question is who are you? I'm Damien." ChibiPoet Mer-people... Kitio's brow furrowed as he thought about this. "I'm Kitrio," he said, sounding a bit distracted since he was still puzzling things out. Suddenly he blurted, "Azure said you don't exist!" Sabra Knight "Kitrio..." Damien laughed at the last part, "But I'm here...so I guess we do exist." He climbed to where he was mostly out of the river and flicked his tail, "See?" The fins shone even brighter in the sunlight and the various shades of green glittered."But I can see why not many taurs believe in us...after all you're the first harpy I've seen...for a little bit I didn't believe that you even existed." Carmel-Filled TeaCup Still frightened Aria allowed the boy to lead her back to the edge. "It wont eat me?" She looked confused but she smiled this was a relief. Wait! That thing-harpy or whatever licked its lips. "Is he going to eat me?" She looked at herself then poked Damien. "I think I exist and so does he. I don't know about you though. ChibiPoet Kitrio's blush deepened, was this fish making fun of him? He'd never been one to have a quick retort, and the other mertaur spoke up so he figured his moment was lost. He lowered his stick and finaly dropped it. "No, I won't eat you. I do like fish, but not talking fish." He grinned.[[Hehe! Mertaur.]] Sabra Knight {Mertaur? xd I love it!} Damien glanced at her reassuringly, "See? You're not going to be eaten." He patted her head and looked at her with the look of some protector. It truly felt like he'd protected this other syrin before...but the only thing he had really protected was an egg...it couldn't be!{Neri! ~glomps~} Carmel-Filled TeaCup Aria smiled and tried to climb up the rock like Damien. "I feel like I know you before Damien!" She glanced at the harpy. "What are you? A bird taur? I've never heard of those!" She smiled. She felt safe with Damien, and she liked it. ChibiPoet [[I'm going to have to wrap it up, hubby's home.]] Kitrio shrugged. "Birdtaur's fine," he said. Better than being called feather-bag he supposed. He remembered what Azure had said about being seen though, and suddenly he felt very exposed out here by the river. He hadn't intended to stay out this long. It wasn't safe... though he didn't know why.
Trying to sound "cool" and "in control" Kitrio put his shoulders back, saying, "Well if you two are all right, I should be on my way." It was one of those adult phrases Azure liked to use when she wanted to leave. This would make a great story for Azure! He hopped backward a bit until he was in the shade of the tree. Then he turned to run, waiting until he was well shaded before jumping to a low branch and disapearing off into the trees.

Nynora's True Talent
Featuring: Child Nynora
"You know why she talks like that, don't you? Because she's got a snake stuck in her throat!" A gray-feathered harpie turned her back on her audience before turning around with her best try at standing like a particular elder in their colony. She pitched her voice higher than normal and added a hissing quality to her words. "We musst never forget our duty is to the Eggs! We make the Eggss! We guard the Eggsss! We-"A shadow fell across the child from behind and her audience quickly stopped laughing and went back to their chores. "Nynora! Whhy are you not working on your ssspear?" The older harpies voice was high and hiss-like, but with a damaged quality that Nynora had not been able to duplicate. Her blue-gray feathers had dimmed with age, they had once been bright enough to rival even a male. Her face was twisted into a scowl and her wings were folded before her.But all that didn't seem to phase the child. She held up her spear - poorly made, but finished. "It is done to the best of my ability," she said, the words sounding "quoted". That was always how the older females described Nynora's work. "It may not be perfect but it's the best she can do." She had chosen her branch well, having an eye for good material was perhaps her only skill. Second only to her chattering. However the stone spearhead was chipped poorly, young ones did not work with metal until they proved themselves capable to the task.The elder snatched the spear and tossed it violently aside. "I doubt that isss all you are capable of. Perhapsss you ssimply do not wishhhh to work!" She was boiling with rage now, this young one had been nothing but trouble from day one! "A lazy girl getsss no food!"That shook Nynora for a moment, but she knew the elders wouldn't cast her out, not over a poorly made spear. Right? Right? Gulping back her fear, Nynora asked in a quavering voice. "What should I do?"The elder hoped Nynora's fear was a sign that the girl could in fact become a productive member of the colony rather than a lazy, unskilled chatter-box. Rater than cool her temper and let the girl think all was forgiven, she pointed to the spear she had tossed aside, snapping out her words harshly. "There iss your ssspear. You shall hunt your own kill tonight!" She turned quickly to the others who had been working on their tasks, each bowed their head busily over their work, trying not to get caught listening in on the punishment. "And none of you sssshall help her!" she added vehemently before turning and stalking away.Nynora cocked her head to one side as she watched the elder leave. This was new. She should not be sent on her first solo hunt yet. Lost in thought, she walked over to her spear and began to wander within the bounds of the colony. Wrong, wrong, wrong. If Nynora knew anything then it was the traditions of the colony, especially the traditions of The Hunt.(Not finished.)

Unexpected Reunion
Featuring: Adult Azure and Adult Chane
ChibiPoet The snow wasn't so deep here under the trees where Azure walked purposefully along the edge between the common forest and the deeper, less-traveled area. It was here she'd last seen Kit, and that had been two days ago. She'd hoped to find something, anything that would clue her in on his wherabouts and what ad kept him away so long. one over three Chane knocked the snow off a small three. Inspecting it he frowned and mumbled, "Critters are eating all the good bark off these..." ChibiPoet The muffled thump of snow hitting snow paused Azure for a moment before she increased her pace in the direction of the sound. "Kit?!" one over three Chane looked away from the tree, that voice was so familiar... and where had he heard that name before? "Who's there?" ChibiPoet Azure skidded to an unsteady stop, so not Kit. How could she be so foolish? The noise could have been anything and she had run blindly toward it. But then... the voice replayed in her head. A hand went to her side to touch the leather strap of her bow case. The case carrying the bow from Chane. Chane! "Chane?" She pushed on, but not as quickly as before, she kept alert to the trees as well. one over three Chane didn't move towads the voice, he hated leaving the path in such deep snow when the ground was so deceiving. Who was it though? It was a woman who knew his voice, that much was certain, but he hadn't been very close to any woman since... "Azure?!" ChibiPoet With the trees so bare Azure first glimpsed Chane as gray stripes between the dark bark. Her worries for Kit were momentarily cast aside. "Gods, Chane, it is you! I- how long has it been?" one over three A laugh excaped Chane's lips, "I don't know! Where have you been? It's wonderful to see you!" ChibiPoet She laughed with him. "Here and there," she said without commitment. "It's not important. How're Little Deer and San?" San must have gotten so big, she felt guilty for not coming back to see the adorable child. one over three "They're both doing well, thankfully," Chane looked back towards the little tree, "How is Kit doing? And that crazy cervi friend of yours?" ChibiPoet Anxiety began to show in her body language while she controled her voice. "Kit's been missing... for two days now..." She glanced into the deep forest. "And I don't know what's happened to him." one over three Chane glanced towards Azure's hooves, "That can be hard, I'm sorry to hear that. Can he fly now?" ChibiPoet "Oh. Well... yes," she reluctantly took her gaze from the deep forest. "But he knows he shouldn't. He could be seen!" She remembered that Chane had also been raised away form normal centaur communities. "I didn't know it at first, but I've learned that... there isn't much love for the harpies among the others of the island." one over three "I've heard the tales, but I doubt anyone would hurt him. Most seem to think of it as legend or a scary bed time story. What are you doing nowadays? Still hunting?" ChibiPoet "I hope so..." She didn't have many first-hand reactiosn to go by, she tried her best to keep Kit from others. "Yes. We hunt the deep forest together some of the time. There's less competition," she said with a grin. one over three "Are you not in these parts of the woods much anymore? Near Haven Tree I mean. I mean I can understand why you'd want to avoid large cities and all." ChibiPoet "We tend to stear clear of Haven Tree except closer to festivals to trade." A content smile spread as she continued to talk. "We've been the full length of the Isle, avoiding only the mountains and the cities. There's so much to see, it's been quite exciting." one over three "I'm surprised I havn't run into you at a festival then! I often go around those times to browse the goods," he paused. "Would you like to spend the night at my house? I left a stew over the fire, it should be about ready to eat now. And it's not far so you can continue your search tomorrow if you wish." ChibiPoet She checked the sky. "Thank you, Chane. I could use a break..." She stiffled a yawn. "So tell me what you've been up to," she said. one over three "I'm a healer now. We, er, Cyn and I added a second building to my home for sick rooms. Though they're empty right now. I was acctualy just looking for a bark I need for a medicine," He turned and headed back down the path. "I'm afraid I've earned a bit of a reputation though!" ChibiPoet Azure walked alongside where she could, behind in any place the path narrowed. "That's quite impressive. I guess I'd of heard about you if I stayed closer to civilization." one over three "Impressive? I suppose," He didn't feel inclined to point our that even the comments spoken directly too him contained few kind words of his sanity. "There it is, you can see the light though the trees." ChibiPoet "Of course it is," she reached out and clasped his shoulder. She looked toward the light and shivered. "It'll be nice to be under a roof tonight." one over three "You know, I can't remember the last time I slept beneath the stars..." ChibiPoet "It's wonderful when the sky is clear, and the air is warm," she added with a chuckle. one over three Chane pushed the makeshift door open and steped inside. "Make yourself comfortable, I should go let Little Deer know we have company. There's water over there if you want to wash up. And do you want a blanket?" ChibiPoet She stopped to take a deep breath of stew and old familiar scents. "Only if it isn't any trouble," she said of the blanket while loosening the straps of her light gear and setting it by the door before heading to the water. Se resisted the urge to call a greating to Little Deer... what if it had been so long that he'd forgotten her? She remembered his distrust of strangers. one over three Chane dissapeared down the hall off the side of the kitchen. Azure could hear Chane's voice asking something softly and second coarser voice replying, but couldn't make out what was being said. ChibiPoet Memory told her where some things were and a bit of searching told her the rest. Wanting to give Chane and Little Deer some time alone, Azure quietly gathered various utensils for diner

Featuring: Adult Azure and Adult Yakira
Sabra Knight ‘Finally…’ The chilly wind whipped around Yakira as she veered down towards the tree that Kit had described to her. Snow still clung to the branches from the last snow storm, which she hoped was winter’s last blow. With a closer glance, she could see small blades of emerald grass popping up in places and even the start of the few braver flowers trying to escape the small areas of snow. ‘Spring is finally coming back.’ She thought with a small smile before landing on one of the squatty tree’s lower branches. Hopefully this was the tree Kit had told her about...Yakira felt even more relief as her talons dug into the branch, and fit into older and slightly bigger claw looking marks that she was sure had been caused from Kit landing in this same tree.
‘Kit….had they reached the colony yet? Was he doing fine?’ But her green eyes quickly refocused on the clearing. “Azure…” Yakira’s heart pumped quickly and she was about convinced that if anyone got near enough, they’d hear it beating fast and loudly. ‘Calm down…it’s just talking to a centaur.’ Which of course that thought didn’t help…after all Yakira had never seen a centaur before, much less ever talked to one! ChibiPoet Azure watched the sky for any sign of Kit as she drew closer to their usual meeting place. The place he should have been in two days ago... she reminded herself. Had she done something to upset him? Had he decided to leave her company? She had only wanted to protect him, to keep him safe. Many of the island knew little of the war that had raged here so many generations ago, but the ones that did held no love of harpies. How could she be certain who would accept him and who would not?
She paused and realized that with all this running through her head she wasn't being as watchful as she should. She was nearing the deep forest, at once both safe and dangerous for its remoteness from the rest of the Isle. She stopped and reminded herself of the checks. No fresh tracks. Neither too many nor too few noises of the wild. No suspicious markings to suggest a nearby dwelling for anything... unpleasant. Despite her inattention she seemed to still be on the right trail, not that there was much of a trail to anyone who didn't know these woods.
And there, few the next few trees, she could already see the distinctive shape of their tree. It was the perfect place for one of the ground and one of the sky to rest and be together. She on the ground and he on branches low enough to make conversation easy. Her ears stood up as she heard something to suggest that the tree was not empty today. She hastened to a trot and broke into the clearing with a wide grin on her face. "Kitrio!" But her eyes and skidding halt showed her disappointment. Once again, it was not he. Sabra Knight Yakira suddenly felt bad for the centaur especially after seeing her obvious disappointment. 'But at least I have news...that is if this is Azure...but after her yelling out Kit's name like that...it has to be her!' The white harpy smiled and waved a wing awkwardly at the blue centaur. Lowering her wing, she peeked over it gazing at Azure with keen interest. 'In a way...her lower part resembles Quick...except her hooves aren't cloven and her tail isn't short and fluffy...it's longer and well just different.'
But her assessment of Azure's looks stopped quickly as she called out in her best friendly voice, "Are you Azure?!" She paused before chirping, "If so...it's nice to meetcha! I mean...I've never met a cen...centaur before and I'd love to get to talk to you..."
Before she could keep talking a clump of snow fell from one of the higher branches and hit Yakira directly on the head as if a warning to stop her rantings. 'Oh! Great...sometimes you really can get started talking can't you, Kira?' Raking a claw through her ruby hair, the harpy smiled embarrassedly. "Sorry...I couldn't control my excitement." Maybe she should get down to the main reason she was here right now? "As I was going to say, if you're Azure...then I have a message from Kit for ya." ChibiPoet With her close association with Kit, Azure was really only shocked to know that there were others like him. Her first assessment was simply that this harpie was a tad smaller, perhaps a female? Her plumage was so unlike Kit's, had the seasons not just changed it would be difficult to find her aside from the patched of red. Suspicion began to creep into her face, the others of his kind hadn't decided to take him away from her, had they? She'd raised him the best she knew how, she'd only barely been old enough to have children of her own when she had been given the egg he hatched from. A hand went to the thin bit of twine she had around her neck, it was long enough to dip behind her shirt to hide what was on it.
"I.. uh, yes. I'm Azure," she said, at first confused and slightly amused. Her face brightened though at mention of Kit. "Then he's alright! He didn't get himself into any trouble, did he?" she asked, suddenly sounding the concerned parent. Never seen a centaur... where do they live? She and Kit had traveled the Isle over, though avoiding the mountains as she'd always been warned they were dangerous. Sabra Knight Any small suspicions that Yakira might of had about Azure really being Azure instantly disappeared as the centaur reacted to hearing Kit's name. The harpy had the feeling that Kit was lucky...'Azure seems like a really caring parent...when it comes to Kit.'Or at least that's what she had gotten from Azure's reactions so far.
Trouble? Not Kit...I however...., but she pushed back the thoughts and started talking."Nope, he's not in trouble." Kira smiled reassuringly at Azure before hopping down to join her on the ground. After fiddling with the warmers on her talons made of rabbit fur from Quick she looked back up and continued, "He's was doing just fine when I left." She quickly explained about how she had ran into Kitrio and both of them had decided to stay the night with the colony. "They were being kind to him and are probably still taking care of him right now since he decided to go on with them to the colony itself and meet their Matriarch, the leader of the colony."
Her eyes narrowed and darkened but quickly the white harpy resumed her tale with a small smile, "I however didn't go with them, and so Kit asked me to let you know that he's safe and will return." ChibiPoet Azure listened quietly and slowly digested all of this new information. A species comprised almost entirely of women? Were the men wiped out in the war? She didn't think so, it should have been long enough to recoup their numbers. It must simply be the way of things with harpies. How would Kit handle that? It didn't take much education to see that he'd suddenly have a lot of females competing for his attention.
She made an amused sound, "So even with all that distraction he still remembered me," she mused to herself. "Did these women happen to say how far this colony was?" She had a sudden moment of panic that they may even be leaving the island - after all she felt certain that she and Kit had traveled all the habitable places of Méith Faroais. Sabra Knight Yakira paused and looked at Azure with a mixed expression of sheepishness and a blank stare, "No...no they didn't." She paused and looked back overhead at the sky thinking and then returned her gaze towards Azure, "But...they claimed the cave as a part of their territory, so I'm guessing that the flight wouldn't be much over a day or so journey. And they probably would take stops so that everyone can rest, especially for Kit's sake and the other male that was with them." Or so I hope...
Silence returned as Yakira waited for Azure to say something. Wind still moved about the clearing moving her hair out behind her towards the sky and her feathers were ruffled. {So cute and fluffy! <3} ChibiPoet Azure hadn't even considered the length of the journey ahead of him and worried. To keep him safe she'd kept him to the ground for most of his life, she'd be surprised if he could fly for more than an hour straight. Knowing there was nothing she could do to help him she tried not to dwell on it and turned her attention back to... she couldn't recall if the harpie had given her name or not.
"If you've nowhere pressing to go to, well... I wouldn't mind asking a bit about the culture Kit never got to know," she said with open curiosity. "And I don't think I caught your name," she added. Sabra Knight "I haven't anywhere to go that I know of." Replied Yakira with a small nod, "So I don't care to explain some...but I warn you I don't know everything there is to know about colonies myself." Now she looked at Azure curiously, "And if it's okay with you, can I ask about the isles as well and your kind?"
Suddenly her eyes widened as Azure asked for her name, "Oh! I apologize about that! My name is Yakira, Azure." She smiled embarrassedly at the centaur.

This RP took place via e-mail.Synopsis Azure and Kira have decided to travel for a while, both want to get to know the other because of Kit - Azure to know if Kira is a suitable mate for him (though Kira doesn't know that) and Kira just to know more about Kit. They were attacked by strange beasts. After putting up a good fight, the beasts retreat. Time to lick their wounds and move on.

ChibiPoet Tommis: *He glanced back a little too long to make sure Ch'zoza hadn't caught up with him, his front hoof caught an uneven patch of ground and he pitched over flat in front of a pair of cervi.* Hng! O... that'll hurt...Ch'zoza: *She didn't need to make much effort to keep up with Tommis, the crowd slowed him most of the time. She didn't really care about catching up to him anyway, she just needed to keep an eye on him like she'd promised.* Oh dear... *She picked up her pace to reach him just as he was getting up.* See what not lookin' where you're goin' has got you? musicaloner7 Vladamir: *Snickering at the news, he sighed.* That's good. The poor goy needed a females touch. *he gave a playful wink to the other Cervi. But just as he was about to take another step, his ears flicked up at the sound of hooves. Turning he saw the male approaching, and juked back so as not to step on him. Pausing, he blinked at the Centaur before him.* You alroight, mate? Clouse: *nodding in agreement to Vladamir, he too reacted the same, but simply stopped. Kneeling down, he offered a hand to the fallen `taur.* Whoa there, cheif. You alright? *his ears pricked as he heard a females voice. Glancing over, he spotted her. A charming smile curled on his lips, and he gave her a little nod.*Vladamir: *He too moved towards Tommis in an attempt to assist him when he saw the female as well. A grin tugged at his lips as he tipped his head to her as well.* Is this yer friend `ere, ma'am? ChibiPoet Tommis: *He grinned widely, amused by Vladamir's accent. He shrugged off Ch'zoza's help and instead took the aid offered by Clouse.* Appreciate it, *he said*Ch'zoza: *rolling her eyes* A nuisance is what he is.Tommis: Aw, *he chuckled* don't be like that, Auntie.Ch'zoza: *Anger and embarrassment colored her face, but se was too upset to speak.* musicaloner7 Clouse: *Helping the Centaur up with ease, by clasping his hand with the others, he grinned, looking the other over for any harm that may have been caused to him.* Bot a problem. *He eyed the female again, and chuckled lightly.*Vladamir: *Smirking, he brushed his bangs back to the side.* We can all be a bit of nuisances sometoimes. *he nodded, looking to the new strangers. Giving a low bow to the lovely lady, he introduced himself.* O'I, Vladamir, know I can be one from toime to toime. |}Clouse: And I'm Clouse Windspeaker. *He gave a nod to the female and extended a hand shake to Tommis* ChibiPoet Ch'zoza: *She felt taken in by the casual smirk and the bow.* I find that hard to b'lieve, Vladamir, sir. *Her expression cooled to a warm smile, though she did give Tommis a warning glance.*Tommis: Pleased to meet you, both of you. *He said merrily.* I'm Tommis. *He leaned over and nudged Ch'zoza in the side with an elbow.* And I kid this ol' lady.Ch'zoza: *She looked offended, but tried to remain civil.* I'm Ch'zoza. And I'm certainly not his aunt. *She added hurriedly.* musicaloner7 Vladamir: *Smiling at the female, he gave her a playful wink* Tell that to moy mate's, then. *Straightening up, he gave her a look as if to inspect her.* You don't look loike an "`ole lady" to me. Clouse: *Chuckling, he flicked his tail.* I agree. Most certainly not old at all. *he glanced at Tommis* You mustn't tease pretty ladies like that, Tommis. They might come and getcha for it. *he teased* ChibiPoet Ch'zoza: *She got a goofy grin on her face and looked away bashfully.* Thank you.Tommis: Aw, saying stuff like that'll just go to her head, *he said with a chuckle*Ch'zoza: What da yew know? Yew'd swallow your own tongue afore complimenting a lady, *she said to Tommis*Tommis: *which only made him laugh harder* musicaloner7 Vladamir: *He grinned, looking to the two Centaurs.* Nothin` wrong with boostin` a lady's confidence. |} Clouse: *nods* So true. *whispers to Tommis* It can help you in the long run. *winks* ChibiPoet Tommis: *leans back, looking at Clouse with a bit of confusion.* Uh... sure.Ch'zoza: The message is lost on 'im, maybe someday. *She shrugged.* Well... I wouldn't want to take anymore of y'all's time... Gotta make sure this 'un don't get into too much trouble. musicaloner7 Vladamir: Oh it's foine, not a problem! It's always noice to meet new lovleh `tauh's. *he beamed.*Clouse: *He chuckled* When he meet's that special someone, he'll know. |P ChibiPoet Tommis: You don't need to hang around me, Zoza. Really, I'll be fine. *His mischievous grin did little to convince her.*Ch'zoza: That's what you said last time, and that nasty little prank o' yours nearly got you strung up by your hooves. musicaloner7 Vladamir: *Leans towards the female, and whispers some advice* Perhaps tha boy needs a lady friend, eh? ;DClouse: *crosses his arms.* You're a prankster, huh? ChibiPoet Tommis: *His chest puffs proudly.* Best there is east of Haventree.Ch'zoza: *She would never consider trying to set him up with any of her friends, for one they were too old for him and for another they'd all already met him and felt pretty similarly about him as Ch'zoza herself did.* Did you have someone in mind? *she asked Vladimir* musicaloner7 Clouse: *chuckles* I'm so honored to be in your presence then. |P Vladamir: *rubs his stubbly chin, looking up to the sky for an answer.* Well.... O'I know this one Cerveh gal... she's moy good friend. But she can be moighty headstrong. And she's pretteh independant. ChibiPoet Ch'zoza: *She tried not to show her discomfort with this suggestion, she was of a generation where 'taurs simply did not cross breed.* Maybe a... delicate sort of gal, one he might feel obligated to watch out ovah. Not one he thinks he needs to impress.Tommis: *Feeling that Clouse might be making fun of him, Tommis smirked back at him.* Do you not believe me? I can cook up something that'll knock your horns off. musicaloner7 Clouse: *He smiled warmly* Not at all. I have a little sister who's quite the prankster herself. *Glancing up at his headgear, he corrected the younger `taur* And these are antlers, my friend. Vladamir: *His ears pricked up, and a brow raised at her.* O'I see... *he glanced at the boy* Is that whot he loikes? *he peered back at the female, not sure if she was looking out for the boy on his behalf or her own.* ChibiPoet Tommis: Eh, same thing, right? *He shrugged.* I wouldn't mind seeing if I could pull one over on her, * rolled his eyes toward Ch'zoza* Family's not been to pleased with my jokes of late.Ch'zoza: Was just a suggestion, *she said with a shrug* At this rate I might be up for anything that would calm 'im down. musicaloner7 Clouse: Ah but they're not. |P *Chuckling at his spunky remark, he glanced to his relative.* Perhaps they just can't appreciate something good when they see it, huh?Vladamir: *Nods slowly, looking to the boy. And as so, he gets an idea.* Woy not set `im up with a few young blokes to hang with? Oi'm sure they'd calm `im down. ChibiPoet Ch'zoza: *She scoffed* Wouldn't that jus make it worse? Bunch o' scalawags rampaging all over Haventree. *But she did think about it for a bit.* Unless they're the right sort of boys, I guess.Tommis: *He ignored Clouse's correction about his antlers.* Ah, so you understand my plight! *He shook his head slowly* They just don't see that I'm livening things up. Making life more fun. musicaloner7 Vladamir: *Grins* Well O'I know a few good youths around `ere. *nods* They all grew up togetha, and get along well. *whispers* though... two of `um ahre guhrls. ;D Clouse: *Nods in agreement.* I concur. There needs to be someone to break the tension, right? And you're just doing it in your own way. ChibiPoet Ch'zoza: *She didn't see why it would matter what gender they were, unless Tommis ended up liking one. Maybe that would be helpful, so long as he didn't get crazy ideas about pulling random "stunts" to impress anyone.* Are any of them here?Tommis: *he nodded.* Right. *He got a conspiratorial look on his face and lowered his voice to a whisper.* I think Zoza's distracted enough that I could get away. Maybe you and your buddy could make sure she doesn't try to follow me? musicaloner7 Vladamir: One of `um's at tha festival roight now. I do believe. And tha otha's probableh being slaved away! *he teased waving a hand dramatically* Clouse: *He nodded.* Can do. *And gave a salute* ChibiPoet Tommis: *With a cocky grin Tommis casually stepped outside of Ch'zoza's immediate sight. It wasn't hard since he'd only been in her periphery for the last few minutes anyway. He waited a bit to see if she noticed and then snuck off.*Ch'zoza: I won't be opposed to him meeting them. *She looked around.* Tommis? *She stomped the ground with her hoof.* Why tha devil does he run off like this? musicaloner7 Vladamir: *Alarmed as well, he shot a look to Clouse for an answer.*Clouse: *He gave a calm nod, and looked off carelessly.* ChibiPoet Ch'zoza: *She looks back and forth between the two and then looks off in the direction Clouse did, but Tommis isn't there.* When did he run off? *She asks to both of them, and then directs her question to Clouse.* Where did he go!? musicaloner7 Vladamir: *he looked off, seeing if he could see the last of the trouble maker fleeting*Clouse: I'm not sure, ma'am. *and in all honesty, he didn't know*

Featuring: Adult Peirdupet and Adult Chane
ChibiPoet A rather disappointed Peir stalked along the beach, heading away from some short cliffs where Azure lived. Or rather, used to live. He wasn't sure where she was now but it had Poet worried, and so he was required to worry too. one over three Chane was down by the water looking for shells that had washed up on the shore. He was leaning on a walking stick to releave some of the pressure on his false leg. It had been bothering him a bit then normal lately. When he spotted a suitable shell on the beach he bent down, almost looking pained as he reached for it. ChibiPoet The curve of the beach meant Peir had to turn inward for a small cove where some shells had washed up and was surprised to find someone there. In the few moments he had before the other would most likely notice him, Peir studied the other thoughtfully and recognition dawned on him. Chane... He wondered if that had been a wince while Chane leaned down or not, but he couldn't find pity within himself for it. one over three He didn't notice Peir, he was too focused on standing up. There was no helping it. He'd have to contact Cyn soon, as much as he hated the idea. ChibiPoet He was definitely slow getting up. Peir sighed, it would be in his conscience if he left the centaur to possibly fall over and drown in the rising tide. He called out, "Do you need any help?" one over three Chane raised his head, looking around for the source of the voice. After a long moment he replied, "No, thank you." ChibiPoet What a stubborn.... He wanted so much to turn around, but aside from the guilt there was also the possibility that Chane had some idea of Azure's whereabouts. "Looks to me like you're not so steady, today." one over three Chane's one eye flicked around again, finaly finding Pier. His voice was a bit more cautious now, "You'd be right... Can I help you?" ChibiPoet Peir came closer so he could lower his voice to a more casual speaking tone. He had forgotten about the metal leg. What an unnatural thing. "I don't know," he replied. And then, "Do you know where Azure's gone?" He didn't sound accusing, which had taken some effort on his part. one over three His ears pearked up, "She's missing?"
He'd hardly known Azure's harpy, "I thought she might have just gone hiking again..." ChibiPoet Peir shook his head. "Once I suspected she was gone I made sure to place a branch across her tent threshold. She either takes care to step over it, or has not been returning." one over three He frowned, then turned to look out over the water, "I wish I could help. She hasn't been coming to see me either." ChibiPoet Peir grunted. "Probably off in search of that damned birdman." one over three He frowned, looking back down at the shell.
"I'd help more... if I could. Could you tell me if you find her?" ChibiPoet Peir hadn't really been making a grand search of it, just checking back to see if she'd returned. He had other things to do. "I could send her your way once she's back," he offered. one over three "Okay," Chane sighed. Frowning as he turned the shell in his hand. ChibiPoet It annoyed Peir how lacking in energy Chane seemed. Azure had made it clear that she and Chane were no longer a couple, so why was he so torn up about it? "And how is Little Deer?" He would have asked about the other, but he couldn't remember the whole name. one over three "I don't know..." Chane admitted. He didn't make eye contact with Peir. Instead he starred down at the ground. ChibiPoet "You don't know?" One of Peir's hooves raised and lowered in agitation. "Wasn't he living with you? And that other one too?" one over three "San moved out," Chane murmured. "He's doing well. Little Deer..." he looked as if he had trouble saying it, "Little Deer left me..." ChibiPoet He couldn't say he was unhappy the pairing had broken off, it had been very unnatural in Peir's opinion. But really, unless this had happened this very morning, Chane should be over it by now. "Well don't just mope about it. If it's not meant to be then it's not meant to be." one over three Chane's eyes flicked up toward him and his right hand tightened on his staff. Knuckles growing white.
"Because you would understand..." ChibiPoet "Well," he said indignantly, "Can't say as anyone ever left me!" Anger was something he felt much more comfortable responding to. "Like any other mistake, you learn from it and move on!" one over three "Yeah," Chane muttered, slipping the shell into his pack. He turned as if to leave, "If Azure visits me I'll tell her you're worried." ChibiPoet *hmp* He hadn't really thought of it that way. Where had she gone? And why? "Well, it's Poet really. Who wants to find her." But he didn't sound entirely sure of that. one over three Chane nodded once as he walked away. It had been fine but now that he'd dragged Little Deer into it Chane thought it would be best to go home. ChibiPoet Peir was looking at the sand, watching nothing in particular while he thought about whether or not Azure had left because of him. She'd never actually made good on her threats to leave... He looked up. "Wait!" He trotted to catch up. "Are you going to need any help getting back?" one over three Chane hardly glanced at him, "Why would I want help from you?" ChibiPoet He crossed his arms while walking. "You're not going to fall over on your way back, are you?"
