Transcended Eternal Scylla
HP: 34 (100 - 24 (Blast) - 22 (Wolf) - 15 (Prehnite) +10 (Hypatia) - 15 (Starseed) )
* Note: (Article of Resilience -1 damage)
Action: Yelling at Castor/Kicking him in the... knee. Giving energy to Lyndin. Chasing the starseed to Caedus.
Damage 1d10 + 7 + 1 (Article of Strength) + 2(2x) / 3 (2x) [ damage]
Used: Eternal, Bait Alt Super magic, Metallic Bracelet, 1 Basic

Location: D4

I'm sorry Scylla. a voice that had been both comfort and bane at various points for the last 11+ years of her life filled her ears, and Scylla saw red. But you know his life is not worth the deaths of so many others. Of course she knew that, but it didn't stop her heart from leading her. And oh, the odd places it had gone over the years. But now it led her someplace she had tried not to follow. Because she had made the choice to leave him, to run to one of the generators, to try and help- but she couldn't just leave him here. Not like this.

"He deserves better than this ending!" she snapped, and kicked out at the Prince with a foot, her rage putting more violence into it than it normally would have, with her hanging off of an alien and her feet dangling two feet above the dirt. If Castor got kneecapeed or-- well... kicked a little higher... MAYBE she would think about apologizing later.

Maybe.

The energy coursed through her, but it didn't... hurt. It felt to Scylla like a hug that was too tight, squeezing and tensing her muscles, stealing her breath away. She relaxed against it, not fighting it, and that seemed to make it easier to bear the strange pulse of it. He has always been a dreamer. I think you are, too. She smiled at Lyndin, sadly. Watched the starseed fall into Encke and Oberon's hands, watched Lyndin try to protect his people, and the starseed, watched him grimace in pain, and...

Pushed gently against him, brushing the cool breath of Transcension healing energy against the alien. "Maybe that's why he's such good friends with me." she told Lyndin as the magic of Scylla caressed him, seeking permission to aid him, now; "I dreamed you and I could be as well, because we both care for him. I'm sorry all this happened. I believe in Caedus. That's why I couldn't let you take him like this. And I am going to dream that we can still help you, even now."

She dropped to the ground, blue-black floofy eternal wings fluttering unhappily behind her, one still lopsided from the slashing claws of Wolframite, her ribbons a shamble. Rushed across the grass after Oberon and Encke, holding the starseed, descending on where Sessrumnir was lowering Caedus to the ground, and dropped to her knees next to the four of them as Belmont was shoved away.

"If Castor tries to stop us, I'll stop him." she muttered the threat to the three men there, her hands jerking nervously. She wanted to pull Caedus' head into her lap. For comfort. Yet she also didn't think a pillow would help the way he was going to feel when he woke up. Instead her hands just fluttered there, one baleful eye on the Prince they had left behind, as she wondered too if Lyndin would accept the energy she had offered.

Her hands shook as she reached out to smooth a strand of hair away from her friend's face, brushing against the crystals he had tried to file away.

If this worked, he would get to have a choice. And she believed in him. And there was, deep in her gut, something reassuring her- and Scylla reached for that reassurance, tried to pull it closer to her, to all of them. Caedus had promised her this would be fine, and so she smoothed shaking hands on his shoulder, waiting.

Quote:
Scylla's passive is active
Those within the range of Scylla's aura become quite aware of who they are near. The air around her seems to grow cold and oppressive; and when she moves the creaking of ships can be heard, and the sounds of wood splintering and metal bending, water splashing, men crying out in terror. From the corner of their eyes they may think they see something moving in the darkness, but there is nothing there. Familiar friends may (somehow) find her aura soothing, catching a glimpse of light to reassure them. Enemies may find her aura less so.

Squire Imbrium of Castor
HP: 12 ( 75 - 5 - 15 - 15 - 18 + 15 - 10 - 15)
Action: Preparing to protect the precious HP of Caedus, Sess, Oberon, or Encke.
Damage 1d10 + 5 (rank) +2 (faction) (shield magic, no roll; -5 to one ally, 1 use left) [ ]
Location: D4

The page was being pushed away, and Imbrium reached out to try and grab their attention. "Not far," she wheezed, eyes losing focus. "Stay close. We may yet need you, or you need us. Buddy system."

Like in school!

She stayed a respectful distance from the people gathered around the King, but Imbrium lifted her shield up- she had a little more magic in her, yet; and while the energy was still a mess, perhaps if the console did explode she would be able to help one of the people there with her shield.

Corrupt Eternal Super Sailor Kamacite
HP: 42
Action: In shock, going with Titanite Saqqara.
Damage N/A
Location: B6

Kamacite heard his name. But the voice he didn’t recognize. The name he did. Titanite. She was on the mission with him in the Rift. She had been very helpful and he was grateful for her assistance in a rather dire situation. She was an ally he felt relief having, and knew her wisdom would likely help them in the future.

But he didn’t see her. He didn’t see anything. Just the replay of a spray of black and the last moments of his friend--

He would never see Faustite again. He thought that he might never see him again before, but it hadn’t happened so suddenly. Weeks and then months and then years of not knowing. But now? It was so final. He didn’t know what to think, or what to feel. He’d cared about Faustite, even with their ups and downs. Even though Cymophane thought he deserved better. But he’d been loyal to Faustite despite all that.

He felt the cloth against his face.

His throat was still too pained to speak, but he wanted to thank her for her show of kindness. But since he couldn’t say it, he simply listened to her and carefully pushed himself up on unsteady legs.

Chibi Sailor Aomori
HP: 25/50
Action: Averting her gaze from the impact debris and just… staying put and away for the moment together with Hokkaido
Damage: ---
Location: E6

Aomori’s eyes widened like saucers when she noticed explosive debris flying from the B6 generator. How incredibly alarming! Her first instinct was to avert her gaze and turn her body in a panic to shield herself and Hokkaido from any chance of projectiles. She hugged her twin and drew her towards wherever that could probably lay low and hide.

From the distance, she heard Charybdis’s call of volunteers to consider going forward and lend their powers to cause a distraction. Aomori randomly recalled that she was down to one basic attack and even then, she knew it wasn’t the most effective tool for distraction. It’s probably not a good idea to volunteer herself and abandon Hokkaido to fend for herself. That would be super duper mean, and her mom and dad would be most disappointed and extremely unhappy should they see one or both of their daughters looking terrible for no good and reasonable reason.

Moreover, feeling Hokkaido’s nervous shakiness in her arms convinced Aomori that her bravado should probably be dialed down this time. After all, in hindsight, the situation they’re in was hardly what they could have imagined when they both became senshi.

Aomori attempted to calm her twin a bit. She wasn’t the most reliable or considerate when it came to being a source of comfort, but at this moment, she felt like she should try. “Hey Hokkaido, when we go home… let’s have looots of snacks and play Animal Crossing together, kay?”

Corrupt Hylonome of Edelweiss
HP: 50
Action: apparently tripping Hatsya
Damage ---
Location: B2 - somewhere.

There was something that she was trying to do. What had she been doing? Try as she might there was no answer to be found. Her gaze turned reflective as she riffled through hazy memories and came up with no answer. Well that was strange, she thought. Come out here for no apparent reason. Weird. Also why am I sitting on the ground? The senshi knew who she was and what she could do but that was it. Everything else was a mystery.

Apparently she was also perhaps invisible considering that she had someone stumble over her. Hylonome rubbed at the leg that was struck before glancing up at the individual that had tripped over her? Seemingly they were alike. Hylonome flashed Hatsya a quick, uncertain smile before standing up. Her gaze took in a couple of anomalies around her before putting her hand up to her forehead. Her voice was soft, but a bit rattlled, "any chance you could fill me in here? What's going on?"

Hylonome felt flustered before reaching out towards Hatsya, "you didn't hurt yourself because of me, did you?"

Transcended Knight Delphi of Polaris.
HP: 100/100
Action: Moving to get away from the center console.
Damage: Nothing
Location: D4 to B4.

She didn't need Hyperboria to tell her to get the otehrs, she knew to do that, they weren't safe here and she knew that. She didn't like that the Cosmos knight was going to go off and handle things on her own though. Foor a moment she considered shouting back at the other, or just joining her fellow transcended knight, but she did decide against it after a moments hesitation. Reaching out to grast at Hyperborai's girlfriend she took hold of the Cosmos knight. "Come on, this is n't a safe place." And she didn't even think using her sheild magic would help with this. This wasn't an attack, not in the normal sense anyway.

"Now where did that Neptune knight go." She stated before mumbling something in Russian to herself, she was not happy with this, this was a whole mess and there was no way out. They were litterally fish in a barrel and they were being shot at, sort to speak. "Hyperborea! You better return or I will find you." And the other would not be happy with the yelling Delphi would do if she had to hunt down the other. For as cold as she could be Delphi did care about these two people, though Hyperboria more as she'd known her longer. They shared a common goal and she wished to continue working with the other knight.

As thigns progressed quickly and the center console seemed to create some new sort of issue, no more chaos energy pumping out was brought to an end...chased away by something else...something she didn't understand and had never felt. "I don't like this...." Holding tight to the girl she tugged her away while shouting for the Neptune knight. "We need to go - that's going to blow up! Hyperboria!" Calling out for the Cosmos knight. If this thign was going to blow up she needed them all close so she could try and put a sheild around them all. "Come to me!" If only Polaris were here...she knew her Princess would have ripped apart the generators far faster than they'd taken them down....or maybe the center console. She wished her princess were here...but Delphi hadn't seen her in a long time...or felt her - nothing.

Knight Saqqara of Uranus
HP: 100
Action: Is it raining?
Damage 1d10 + 7 (rank) + [ 3 (faction) OR 5 (magic, 001 002 003)] [ ]
Location: B6 -> C5 -> B6

"There we are," Saqqara whispered gently to Kamacite as he rose unsteadily, her calloused hands strong and sure under his arm. There was black- paint paint paint paintpaintpaintpaintpaintpaint- everywhere, and even her clean bit of cloth was having a hard time helping him to clean his face. s**t. He really had been in the blast radius, hadn't he?

Behind her, there was an Order senshi (Monoceros) helping a Corrupt senshi, Taenite put the half-youma back together again. Even though Faustite was their enemy... no one deserved that.

No one deserved to see that. "Everything will be well." she assured the long-haired corrupt, accented voice low and soothing, leading him in slow, steady steps towards the border where Axinite stood, a look on his face that was... not himself. Her bare feet stepped through bits of viscera, and she tried to carefully avoid metal shards.

Who knew what weird youma diseases would get in her scratches if she got one?

She guided him as close to the General Sovereign as she dared, before calling out to the man- "Axinite, sir. I know you will protect him. Yes?" The sir slipped out as a habit, and she bit her tongue. "Kamacite, walk slowly. I cannot go any further with you. Straight ahead, ten steps. You performed your duties admirably, and should be proud." Did she like those duties? No- clearly. Did she respect him for doing what she could not? Yes.

Saqqara waited for him to move before she would step back, leaving the blue veil of her uniform in his hands for now. She did not need it, and perhaps he would be able to better clean his face with time.

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal: Transcendent Eternal Sailor Kerberos
HP: 22
Action: Going to Lyndin!
Damage
Location: E2 -> D2

The generators were down. While the oppressive auras of the General-Sovereigns lingered, the air was no longer agonizingly thick with Chaos. It wasn't a victory yet, but Kerberos felt something warm and assuring in his heart.

They were not dead. They had not fallen. The Negaverse had not won.

Kerberos wanted to stay. Wanted to make sure Ganymede was alright. But there was no longer the paralysis of indecision--no longer the fear that he would stand against his own allies in a fight for someone else's life.

And Lyndin looked so...alone. Caedus had a whole entourage guiding his starseed back to his chest. He would wake to friends, people who would take care of him. Lyndin was on his knees--and one of his Cadets had already gone to him, and Kerberos suspected more would, too, but there was still something agonizingly lonely about Lyndin's position.

Both of his Commanders dead. Two of his Cadets. Kerberos could see the glowing, crystal-covered corpses; there was no ignoring them. All the generators destroyed; the central machine pulsing like an agonized heartbeat.

Ganymede and Valhalla, too, had people around them; Pages that had the same lightning-heart he could see on Ganymede's own attire.

"I'm sorry," he told Valhalla, "I'll be back."

He was still bleeding. He took a moment to tear off the end of his red underskirt, using it to make a makeshift bandage and tie it off. No need for the deeply alarming sight of blood staining white, when he had a slightly better option.

Once he was relatively sure he wasn't going to pass out or bleed out on his way over, he stood, and moved over to where Lyndin was. Flowers bloomed in his footsteps, and as he knelt in front of the Commodore, they began to spread out around the two of them.

"I have no idea if you can hear me," Kerberos admitted, "or if this will help at all. Or if you even want it, after what just happened. But you look like you could use a boost."

He reached out to put a hand on Lyndin's chest, drawing on the energy of his planet to transfer it to the Commodore. He knew it was possible Lyndin would reject the assistance--reject him--in this moment. But he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't try.

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal : Corrupt Sailor Alkmene
HP: 50
Action: trauma,
Damage N/A
Location: B6

She was down.

Alkmene had done his job.

It was too late, though. It might not have been her hit that shattered it, but the generator blew. Alkmene hit the ground, fast, and managed to dodge any shrapnel, but--but Faustite had been so close to the generator--

There was something wet on his skirt. And his leg.

He looked down.

Black, inky liquid.

Oh, God.

Alkmene wanted to throw up, but there wasn't time. He whirled, looking for whatever was left of Faustite, and felt a deep, abiding horror. There were already two other people there--a fellow Corrupt and some Order Super--and Alkmene bolted over, kneeling next to what was left of his General.

"What the hell, Faustite," he said, voice shaking. God, he hoped that the strange magic the other two had applied would help him. If...if anything could help him.

Alkmene was pretty sure he was going to be thinking about the black spatter on his pretty lavender skirt for a very, very long time.

Sailor Primula
HP: 50/50
Action: volunteering to go with Charybdis
Damage:
Location: E6

Primula wasn't sure what Charybdis had seen, nor did she want to know. At the same time, while likely the most inexperienced of the group, she was also the most unscathed. And so, she handed Etoile back to Lepus, before moving to join the chibi senshi of seals. "I'll go," she said, feeling hesitant, but at the same time, well.

It seemed for the moment that everyone had backed off of fighting for the moment, at least for the most part. There was still a sense of uneasiness, especially as nobody had actually made a move to leave, on either side of things, but at the same time, if there was any good time to act, it was now.

"My sister went that way, too, so I should go get her..." Primula added, even though knowing Eriphyla, she likely was perfectly fine, and just daydreaming about flowers again, "And, um... if we need it, my magic makes people want to protect me. So..."

It wasn't quite a 'distraction', but it was along the same idea.

Prince Castor of Hail
HP: 43
Action: Helping Lyndin and the Valenian's escape(?)
Damage None
Location: D2

It happened far too quickly. One moment, the man had the starseed, the next-

"Idiots." Castor hissed under his breath, feeling how it lashed out, even from afar. "They're not saving him- they won't save anyone doing this." Perhaps they'd buy Caedeus, their friend, some time, but in the end?
In the end the starseed was doomed without intervention, it would be as it was, and given what he'd seen of it, felt of it, the fact was Sailor Valenia couldn't awaken, and even if they did, it very well may be to catastrophic results. The starseed needed to be healed. It needed a help that none of them were powerful enough, nor equip, to provide.

He wanted to yell at them, tell them how theirs was a fool's gambit. An effort to only stave off a slow and merciless death for not just the very man they said they wanted to help, but his people, his very world.

It hurt a part of him, because he still understood their hope, their want. He could even wish that he was wrong, for he so earnestly wanted that to be the case. But hope was meaninglessly without the action and power to defend it, and as it were, with the negaverse as chaos closing in, they were poorly equip to defend anything.

"Damn me- and damn you and your lot as well." He cursed under his breath as he stood beside the man who only wanted to save his people. Looking to Lyndin he had a choice- abandon him and his people, defend the starseed the others had taken... or trust them. Trust in their conviction.
"And damn all the fools who demand I keep hoping and trusting them when I very well shouldn't."

Scylla lashed out at him and he bore it with a grimace. "Tentacles." He tsked, her nickname falling from his mouth. "You're only stalling what you know needs to happen." He stared her down in that moment. "You best at least kiss him before this is all said and done." He gave a bitter, and sad laugh at her expense while she ran after those carrying the starseed. She loved so passionately, and he knew that well enough. He almost wished he could help her but-

"You all better make sure they don't try to just kill him once he has it back!" He yelled after those guarding the unwoken senshi and his starseed. "I will leave it to you!" Looking at the man who had done this, all of this, who had all but condemned them to death, sacrifices for the sake of his world. Castor sucked in his breath. He could try to help, to protect- even if his was a power made only to destroy.

"Know this-" He said, tone even, grabbing Lyndin and attempting to help him up and towards the edge of the battlefield. The pain was immediate, lancing through him and making his muscles seize and ache. The ice cracking and leaving behind tiny shards around him."-I will do my best to see his starseed, your world, healed. You don't need to believe me, but I would not see another world lost, nor, another senshi fall and never return." Around them, chaos was rampant still, and he was aware of the eyes of queen on them, assured in her victory. Gritting his teeth, he shuddered, the energy ripping through him again, wings jerking as he fought to remain steady and help as he could.

"But your people will need you, they will need someone to guide them even without a crystal. You and yours have taken enough losses. Go. Return later and bring your allies, bring who you can. Come and tell us the whole of what plagues your kind and teach us what we do not know." He needed, had to know what awaited them, what was out there, biding it's time.
"You wanted us to trust you, and so... I will trust in your devotion and love of your people. But trust us, trust that I will do what I can to save Sailor Velenia, because I have only wanted one thing for the senshi, for our worlds and our futures. For the balance we all need in order to survive"

Another senshi (Kerberos) joined them, and a broken smile came across his face, marred by the pain.. "Help me get him to the edge- we may be able to at the least, get him to the threshold or distract the queen and her dogs long enough for them to get to safety." He paused. "Fair warning, this energy stings like a b***h."

He hauled the man up, wings fanned out, the ice of his armor still upon him if only just. "Words are empty things, and you were ready to sacrifice us to save your own." He huffed. "I can't forgive you for it, but I understand it. Just know when you make it out of here, you were manipulated. Corruption and death will not bring us closer to the balance-It will only hasten this universe's end."

Castor wished they had more time.

"You have to escape Commodore- your people will need you, now more than ever, and we do not have the luxury to debate semantics. You need to escape, and do not let the negaverse or those who might wait in the mirrors catch you." His mind went to Remarque and Leto, and their past warnings that many of the mirror senshi yielded to the negaverse.

Irkalla, Squire of Cosmos
HP: 75
Action: moving to get away from debris field in B6 - trying to fathom if this is the end or not
Damage --
Location: B6 - B4

The last generator was down - exploded in a fine display if not for the black mist that had descended all over. Irkalla tried not to fathom what had caused the mist in the first place but she had witnessed how close the negaverse agent had gotten moments before it had gone up in flames. Her stomach roiled at the insinuation of what it was that covered her from head to toe but instead tried to map out a path of the section she was in to one that could promise a bit more relative safety. Taking care to avoid random bits of debris that were strewn about took more time than she had liked to spend. At least it seemed that once some were over the shock, they'd gone about the process of recovery. It reminded her all too well of a scene from one of the shows she had watched before in which a rocket launcher had been used to thoroughly destroy a demon. It was definitely the same effect that the squire of Cosmos was seeing now.

There were more pressing needs to be thought about now, and since this whole debacle with the generators being switched on Irkalla realized that she was thinking clearly. The fact that the ultra powerful auras of the negaverse still remained in place around the clearing meant that things were not over. Possible exits were few and it seemed like it would be a rather foolish action to try and skirt across the perimeter lines. The main console appeared to be acting erratically and even as she continued to move to a place that hopefully would be relatively safe - Irkalla wasn't sure that whatever was going to happen would end well. Her thoughts, dire as they were, focused on a feeling that washed over her. Could things be alright - was someone out there watching out for those stuck inside this ... death game? Was it at all feasible?

Praying fervently that this was the case Squire Irkalla reached her destination and stood silently before crouching down behind a tree's wide trunk. If it came down to needing an extra little bit of protection - she hoped that maybe, just maybe, the tree would shield her form.

Cadet Neryn
HP: 50/50
Action: MAKING A CHOICE? WHOMST IS THIS?
Damage:
Location: D2

By all accounts, it decision shouldn't have been hard. There was more than enough reason to fight and turn against their allies, and protect Lyndin and Caedus' starseed. To make the decision to go home. Cadets and Commanders were dead. Caedus was almost dead. Lyndin was dying. The humans had destroyed their generators and the center console. The Negaverse hadn't attacked them unless they'd attacked first, and their Queen just sat in the corner smiling.

There wasn't any reason for them here. There wasn't anything for them here. This wasn't their world.

Yet.

Yet.

Dooming these people to Chaos just because Lyndin did not explain the plan? Just because they wanted to fight for their friend? Why were these people lesser and expendable simply because they had strong convictions? And what did it matter, anyway? Neryn would never see Sailor Velenia awaken, Neryn would never awaken as a Knight of Velenia. They were just...

"I... am going to stay... and fix the consequences of our actions here these past weeks," they said, speaking with conviction for the first time since this evening had begun. "It is wrong... to leave these people to pick up the pieces themselves. I know you have done what you believe is right, Commodore Lyndin. You have tried to save us, and the old world. But, I don't know that world. I know this one, a little, and Velencya. You assumed these humans were like us, Commodore, but they are not. I cannot, in good consciousness, leave with things as they are.

I am sorry, Commodore. I wish you well in your endeavors.

Cadet Naeria
HP: 3
Action: Making a choice-
Damage n/a
Location: D2

Even half-conscious, Naeria was quickly realizing just how wrong Lyndin was.

It was wrong of him to kill Caedus just because he was unable to awaken as a senshi. Fae-Fae was right. They were not meant to turn against their own because of something outside of an individual's control. They were meant to adapt.

It was wrong of Lyndin to turn against their potential allies. It was wrong of him to put his trust in the Negaverse, who were awful and clearly just wanted to hurt people.

It was wrong of him to do all of it without warning the Vanguard, so that when it had come time to battle, they had been utterly crushed between two opposing forces.

She heard Neryn saying that they were going to stay on Earth, and she understood. She understood not wanting to follow Lyndin any farther, or to be a part of any of this anymore.

The problem there was, if those who disagreed with what had happened stayed on Earth, who would be there to explain Lyndin's mistakes to the rest of Velencya?

He'd lied to them about the Negaverse. That meant there was precedent that he might lie to the others back on-world in order to keep his reputation.

Somebody should try to make sure the truth of what happened was heard.

Naeria was not sure how effective she'd be at that. For one thing, she was a Cadet while Lyndin was the Commodore, deeply beloved by all people. For another, she was a scientist, not a speaker. She poured over databases. She did research in her free time. Even connecting with the other Cadets during training had been difficult for her.

For this, though?

For this, she would try to find her voice.

"I'm here, Commodore," she murmured for now, and did not resist whatever was trying to take them.

Cadet Aliez
HP: 50
Action: Going with Lyndin, of course. Fangnyl is carrying him because Aliez is useless.
Damage N/A
Location: D2 with Lyndin

He didn’t hear when Vyn called his name, nor did he see the additional turmoil that the Commodore was suffering from. He didn’t feel the protection around himself and the other Cadets, but he also didn’t need anyone to convince him that the Commodore would protect them.

That he trusted.

The Commodore had always shown unrelenting care for all of them, no matter how many times Aliez might have forgotten to turn the safety off of his blaster during training, or how many times he got curious about things and asked questions that were probably too personal. The Commodore had cared about him when he was feeling ill, had spent time out of his busy schedule to rescue him and Vyn from that shopping center where they’d gotten into trouble.

Even if Fangnyl hadn’t decided to pick him up to carry, Aliez would have shown no resistance to the Commodore’s protection and attempt to keep them all together.

Because that was how they survived. They needed to stay together.
