Cadet Valnyr HP: 22hp Action:: Still shooting while she can still stand. Farewell comrades, but this is necessary. Damage: 1 + 3 = 4 Location: B6
If she didn't go now, she wouldn't be leaving at all. She could see them beginning to move away in the distance, she could see the integrity of the generators degrading rapidly. Yet it seemed that until they were fully destroyed the toxic energy that was causing so much pain, anguish and strife would never end. She couldn't let it end this way, she couldn't let her kind stoop to levels where the only thing that mattered in the universe was them... because in the end when something came for them then who would extend a hand in aid?
They were betrayers.
They were backstabbers.
And she would have blamed no one if they stared down their noses and then turned their backs, slamming the door in their faces so that they could suffer the consequences of their selfish choices. She knew that to some degree something had to give, but she struggled to truly believe that this torture that they were enacting on those who had helped them was the right thing to do.
She might have been able to understand the necessity to execute one of their own for the greater good. She would have certainly understood if such things could be guaranteed... But instead her Commodore had led the unfortunate soul on a merry chase. He had played with him, lied to him, promised to help these people; and then he had ripped his heart from his body and declared that he should have died.
Her Commodore was a coward.
If he should have died, then he should have been executed on Velencya.
Instead they were here and their Commodore had done nothing more than torture, terrorise and maim those round him no matter what excuse or rationalisation he tried to put forward. She had never seen Velenia, but she had been aware of their history at least from her own schooling, and in this instant the Commodore seemed more like the monsters that had enslaved them than a genuine and compassionate man.
The commodore was a beast and while she still could she would do her best to take this machine down. If they wanted to stop her, they were going to have to put her down and make sure she didn't stand back up again.
...And thus she took another pot shot at the generator while she still had the chance.

Palatine, Squire of VenusHP: 75 Action: Attacking generator B6. Damage: 5 (roll) + 5 (rank) + 2 (faction) = 12Location: B6 It was easy to get lost in the midst of battle.
Not lost in the sense of losing one’s self, which, under the circumstances, wouldn’t be all that difficult either. More like actually ******** lost. Had no idea where she was, couldn’t find her way — lost.
Originally, Palatine wasn’t going to be there that night. Ganymede and Valhalla were going out, Empyrean and Paradise were going out, and neither Sessrumnir nor Oberon would be around, so Palatine got the kids. To be honest, she preferred it. She knew nothing about the aliens, and though a part of her was curious, some of what was to come seemed like it would be more trouble than it was worth.
After all, there was no way they were actually going to defeat Metallia. Not like the aliens suggested. Not so easily. It wasn’t going to happen, so Palatine didn’t feel the need to be around to see it.
She was right about that part, apparently. But she was wrong about keeping her distance, because as soon as she felt that tingling sensation letting her know she had a message, she was leaving the kids with Cal and making her way here with Varuna.
Where they got struck. Palatine listened, she learned, she stood and watched in incredulous disbelief, and then the Negaverse showed up with their General Sovereigns and their Queen, and Palatine knew they were all <******** too old for this,” she muttered to herself.
She tried to find her usual allies. She saw glimpses of them here and there, but the mayhem had a way of interfering. She got twisted and turned around, dodging this way and ducking that way, until she was so mixed up she had no idea which direction was which or where any of the familiar faces had gone.
At least she and Varuna had not gotten separated. They’d even managed to make a friend (Constantinople).
Or an acquaintance, rather. Palatine was pretty s**t at making friends.
Together, they made their way to the last generator.
Being a healer, Palatine had nothing with which to attack it, and she didn’t want to waste her healing tea trying (and potentially failing) to short it out.
So she kicked it. Hard. Again and again, aware all the while that there was a General King about twenty feet away.
There were patches of black creeping up her white pants, but she ignored it, wouldn’t think about it, wouldn’t look, just focus focus focus on getting this last generator down.

Knight Saqqara of UranusHP: 100 Action: Attacking Generator B6 Damage 1d10 + 7 (rank) + [ 3 (faction) OR 5 (magic, 001 002 003)] [ 2 + 7 + 5 = 14 Damage to Generator B6]Location: D4 -> C5 -> B6 Aliens were doing a thing that Saqqara honestly didn't... care about. She had joined Order to help them, not to worry about drama around Alien Internal Politics. What she did worry about was that last generator, the column still pumping Chaos into her newly cleaned-up starseed, making the freshly-scrubbed ‘skin’ of it ache. The column was a mess, shooting out energy even to the alien now, and Saqqara had to wonder if that last generator was the last straw of it. She was the strangest mix of Titanite-and-Saqqara as she charged across the field towards that last generator, sands and winds whipping around her as she slapped a half-gauntleted fist into the metal with a clang. Damn it was hot over here. Too bad they didn't have any water magic to put out Faustite.

Super Sailor VarunaHP: 75 Action: Attacking generator in B6 Damage 6 + 5 (super) + 3 (magic 1/2) = 14Location: B6 ”Snow slide!” Varuna called out as they approached the generator. Getting caught up in the literal Chaos of everything made it difficult to figure out the best course of action, but it seemed as though everything was boiling down to this last generator and whatever was going on in the center of the field.
She really had no interest in aliens. She was more interested in the new foal that was going to be born any day now. The mother had been under observation, but it wasn’t Varuna’s shift, so she would just have to hope that she would be back in time to welcome the new baby into the world.
More often than not these days, Varuna had passed on the opportunity to power up and fight the Negaverse or whatever it was everyone did. She was too focused on her continued studies and working at the veterinarian clinic. Animals were much kinder than humans would ever be, and she had the same suspicion about aliens too.
But she was there. She went with Palatine and they saw how the Negaverse was overwhelming everyone and everything, as usual. They should have known better. Should have known things always turned out like this.
She watched as snow materialized around one side of the generator, covering everything in its wake, pleased that her magic was still strong enough to do some damage. She made sure not to attack so close to the side Palatine was attacking, not wanting to take her down by mistake.
Worse than that. She felt sick. It was the Chaos, she knew. She felt heavy and weak, but if she just kept fighting, they would all make it out just fine, right? Quote: Super Senshi Attack: Snow Slide: Snow suddenly materializes within an eight foot radius, twelve inches deep beneath the feet of Varuna's opponent(s), pushing them up and off solid ground, then rolls out from under them at the speed of a fast treadmill, lasting only about ten seconds. Very high potential for the opponent to slip and fall and get soaked with snow even as it disappears after it melts. Twenty-five foot attack range from Varuna. Can be used three times, four times her final limit. Connie, Page of Chronos HP: 50 Action: Attacking generator in B6 Damage 6 + 3 (Page) + 1 (non-magic) = 10Location: B6 “Oh, that was so cool! You know, like actually cool. Like cold. Because it’s snow,” Connie grinned brightly as she followed her two new friends around. A Squire and a Super Senshi, who both had beautiful, long blond hair, and definitely knew what they were doing!
And the Squire was so pink. It was nice to know someone else who was dressed as pink as she was.
Connie had been so busy with her art projects that she almost completely missed the fact that there were aliens on Earth! She’d heard the call the first time, but she was so exhausted from staying up so late working on things that by the time she realized what time it was she just assumed that she missed them.
But they were still there! And they were all so tall! Like, really tall! She felt so short around them, but that was okay because she normally felt short.
“You don’t look old at all,” she squeaked in horror at Palatine’s comment about her own age. “You look very young. Are you sisters? You look similar. I wish my sister was a Knight or a Senshi. She doesn’t have a lot of fun, but I think she would have fun going around beating up things. She’s really sweet, even if she looks grumpy all the time. I mean, I guess she could be mean, but she’s always nice to me,” she rambled, and then realized it was probably her turn to attack the generator. So she ran up and gave it a good kick, before running away to make room for someone else to attack.
Oh, but there was a very pretty woman there in blue. A Knight (Saqqara)?
“Hello! Wow, that was a really good punch. And you’re beautiful! Why is everyone out here so pretty? Ah, I mean, I guess that’s kind of subjective,” she said after a moment, making a slightly guilty face as she glanced over at one of the youma-people. “Varuna, you should use your snow magic on that one,” she suggested to her new friend, nodding to the fire youma (Faustite).

General LopeziteHP: 61/200 Action: Attacking Nix Damage: 4+7+5+5=21 Location: F6 The corner of Lopezite’s eye twitched as the Senshi magic hit him. The tongue was enough to disgust him, but it wasn’t like the Senshi could just hit him with that and be done with it.
He didn’t realize he’d been poisoned until after he swung his sword again. He was unstable, a bit dizzy, and maybe he didn’t angle it perfectly. There was plenty of opportunity to be hit by the blunt side of the blade.
He was dizzy, but maybe that was just the erratic energy in the air? Or--no. It was probably that senshi. He’d seen something blue coating him, he thought, but there was so much going on.
The field looked like it was swimming and he felt sick, but muscle memory kept him swinging his sword and trying to cut off that tongue--or, whatever it took to make this sickness stop.

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal Shiroyama Page of Mars Lieutenant Akaganeite HP: 50 Action: Damage 7 + 3 + 3 + 5 = 18 DMG Location: F2
The nameless Lieutenant continued to lean on her bokken, letting it take her weight as she tried to get her bearings. Long, black and pink hair tumbled over her face, but it was at least partially tamed--good, whoever she had been was smart enough to somewhat manage hair in a battlefield situation.
A battlefield situation.
Something in her clicked, as soon as Aquamarine spoke to her. An order, a simple task, and she used the motivation from the simple release of being told what to do to get herself up and on her feet.
"Yes, sir," she said--simple, clipped, professional. An acknowledgement of an order. An acceptance.
The one she was being pointed at (Cybele) was foolish enough to target a General, and that would not do. So she moved, quickly and efficiently--although her steps were briefly paused when she spotted a woman in red and gold (Tanais) that flickered something familiar in her memory.
Something lost to the vast, black abyss of Chaos.
She winced, and shook her head.
Now was not the time to wonder what had been. Now was the time to take action, to move, and strike, and she could try and put pieces back together later.
Now, there was a simple action: the grip of her hands around the handle of her bokken. The way the soft earth below her feet gave under her new boots. Her movement from where she had fallen, when Chaos took Shiroyama and irrevocably changed her, to within striking distance of the Senshi.
The swing of her wooden sword for the Senshi's side, in a motion that felt practiced--as if sometime, somewhere, she had done this a thousand times before.
No need for deep thought. Only action. Thought, self-discovery, understanding: those would be pieces that would click into place later.

Fae-FaeHP: 28 Action: Joining Lyndin : ( Damage: N/A Location: D4 -> D2 The Cadet froze momentarily in fear, pulling her blue-bubbled gift close to her chest, as another corrupted senshi approached. The apology as they departed left her confused. Sorry for what? Sorry for what? There was so much that needed to be apologized for here, and at the same time it felt like no apology could ever set things right. Even if Cosmos herself appeared before them in search of atonement, it still wouldn't be enough. Fae-Fae's understanding of the world had been thoroughly shattered. Cydfae's curt orders and callous yanking of her arm felt like her naked body being thrown into the shards. A cold sensation seeped in through the cracks beaten into her being, settling just beneath her skin, and her skull felt like it was full of wet sand. Some part of her was no longer present in this battlefield. It had fled out of her body and zipped through the stars, back, back to her synthetic home. Back to Velencya. Back to her perfectly scheduled routine in her perfectly designed home in her perfectly arranged neighborhood with its perfectly lovely people. She needed it so much. Now that she knew Velencya was dying, she wanted to curl up with it and cradle it close, and be nowhere else. Gavaen's star seed glowed faintly from its protective bubble in her hand. That little spark of life pulled from his body was comforting her in her time of need, one last time. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen and the heaviest thing she had ever carried. No matter what, she couldn't abandon her people. She couldn't abandon her friends back home. She couldn't abandon Gavaen's little brother. Fae-Fae followed the Vanguard to the north.

Cadet Neryn HP: 50/50 Action: Trying to not think Damage: Naw Location: D2
Neryn didn't want to think. Neryn had stopped thinking. It was safer, it was easier, it meant they didn't have to consider the choices going on. Commodore Lyndin was weakening, constantly being attacked. Several Cadets were making a circle around him and trying to protect him. Cydfae leapt in front of an attack, and died for it.
The knight fell, someone made a grab for the starseed and Neryn stared up at the sky.
What does it matter...
What does it matter. All this death. All this pain. All this betrayal. What....
"What does it matter, Commodore... Sailor Velenia will take years to be reborn... if that crystal is even salvageable Why go through all this... two of our commanders are dead... several cadets are dead or defected... we've betrayed these people we came to as 'allies'. What... is the point anymore..." they asked Lyndin, though it seemed more like Neryn was talking out their thoughts more than anything else. Neryn looked at Fae-Fae, cradling a bright light in her hands.
"Was it worth it? Was all this worth it?" This time, purple eyes trained on Lyndin with a vacant expression, voice pointedly towards their Commodore.

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal Lt. Nagyágite HP: 50 - 12 = 38 Action: Moving! Damage N/A Location: F6 -> D6
Nagyágite hissed. The Senshi struck back, with her magic bobcat, and it sent him staggering--enough that it gave her time to slip away. How spunky. How quick-witted. Or at least, she was smart enough to know when to hit and run. But that was fine; there was still one generator up, and if she made it there, she would encounter plenty of resistance on that side. So it was just a rush for the generator himself, and once he was up, he moved, as quickly as he could, to get in place.
So very much to do. So much chaos to sow. And one least generator, still holding on, still pumping darkness out over the field.
Oh, Nagyágite hoped they got a few more recruits today. It'd certainly be a trial by fire--but he'd had one of those, and he'd come out stronger for it.

Andronicus did not stop the blasters that fired upon her. Did not snap back at Itztenoch or Aliez with a smart comeback, or some sort of defiant roar. No, she let the blasters fire upon her and smiled at the cadets.
"Would that we had the same loyalty you do..."
Then she fell backwards and did not get back up.

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal: General Amazonite HP: 100 - 28 + 15 = 87 HP Action: ow ow ******** ow, encouraging Adorea to move to B6 with her! Damage: N/A Location: D4
Amazonite let out a breath, glad to see that Adorea responded well to a quick, easy correction. Sher withdrew her hand from the Senshi's chest, and reached up to pat her cheek.
"Good girl," she said, brightly.
And then,t he sky opened up, and it began to hail. Her first instinct was simple--not that ity would protect either of them much, but she yanked the Corrupt close to her, in an effort to shield her form some of the damage with her own, stronger body. She was a dragon, a creature of ice, and a General, and perhaps--perhaps she could at least keep a Super safe.
While Amazonite could not be said to have much regard for things like ethics, or bodily autonomy, or the personal opinions of other people, she certrainly wasn't going to abandon someone to a Royal's magic for no reaosn at all.
Adorea had proven herself useful, and was clearly not actively attempting treaosn. Instead, Amazonite felt healing sink into her--a little respite from the storm.
"Oh, swetheart," she said, gently, "you should have saved some of that for yourself. I'll be more than alright." She grinned, showing fangs. "Come on, let's get away from here. Best protect the last generator, yes?"

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal : Corrupt Sailor Alkmene HP: 50 Action: Attacking Valnyr some more! Damage 9 + 3 + 2 + 5 = 19 DMG Location: B6
She shot at the generator again.
Twice.
That was practically a personal insult.
Alkmene gaped for a moment, but maybe he should have expected that. After all, these aliens seemed to be stubborn--and he knew. He knew his orders weren't to damage them. So as much as he wanted to take advantage of the fact that he could reach into chests and end a life in a breath, now, he took a depe one himself, smiled in the way of someone that really, really wanted to be doing murder right now, and held up his hand.
Physical attacks hadn't worked. So, fine, option two. Magic.
"Envious Whisper," he said, making a gesture at her and watching the green sparkles float between them. He couldn't guess what of hers it might steal--her weapon? Its charge? Perhaps it wouldn't work at all?
But as long as it dissuaded her from continuing to attack, or at least hurt her a little, Alkmene was pretty okay with that.Epine de Rose per gm ruling alkmene's magic is just sparkledamage for now!

Irkalla, Squire of Cosmos HP: 75 Action: running from D4 to B6 to attack generator Damage *rank* 5 + 9 (dice) = 14 dmg Location: D4 - B6 Irkalla had moved as quickly as she could from the main console area. There was just too much of a crowd in the general area and they were either smacking at the machine there or trying to shoot at the individual seemingly responsible for this mess. Irkalla shook her head before turning to face the direction that she needed to head to. There was a large chaotic presence which meant she was probably heading into a dangerous situation. So be it. Arriving at the last generator Irkalla darted around the various battles to lash out at the stupid machine with her ornaments.

His fingers dug into whatever he could even as he writhed beneath him.
“You have no ******** right to her you flaming piece of s**t. I’m not leaving her with you. I’m not letting you defile her. You’ll burn out before you get rid of me so do yourself a favor and back off before you get hurt.”

A royal was off somewhere sending icy daggers flying, and the redhead squinted at them judgmentally as they spilled into the grass instead of into Negaverse flesh. Well, it that was how he deemed he could best stop Chaos, who was she to know his logic? Maybe the icy daggers were also icy bombs? Okay. Imbrium pushed to her feet, gathering her wits about her as best she could, black-clawed fingertips digging into her skin in a familiar gesture to help clear her mind. Pain pushed back against the Chaos, focusing herself. To the South, the generator she had previously attacked still stood, a testament to her abject failure as a Squire. To the North, people fought for a starseed, the starseed of an alien who might yet be able to fix this entire ******** made, Imbrium moved. She tackled the arm of Lyndin joining Oberon in grabbing at the starseed as electricity coursed through her. The only positive? Chaos was shoved away as her mind sharpened, the darkness shifting back through her body driven away from her mind.
