● Tribe: None✦ Personality ✦ ● Taranis and his sister were born amidst dark energy. Unlike most other foxes, when they hatched out of their BCRs they were both horribly deformed. At first glance Taranis doesn't look so bad, just a few spikes on his front legs and back, maybe a couple creepy spiders and their webs hanging out on his back spikes. But his body doesn't quite...appear to be solid? It's like all his dead skin and hair liquifies and drips off him, granting him the illusion of melting.
Unfortunately Taranis doesn't deal with his mutations nearly as well as his sister does, and he tends to take it out on others. It doesn't matter whether or not they react to his mutations. He's cold, anti-social, and verbally abusive. Hurting others, making them feel bad or hurting them in some way, is a sort of vindication for him. It can be difficult to keep track, but the one thing she is above all is stubborn! You can't get this girl to do anything she doesn't want to do, and any attempts at forcing her will yield....interesting results. She's touchy, as in likes to touch or be touched, but only if you're one of her "approved" people. She constantly wants attention, though sometimes once she has it she gets contrary. She is insanely possessive and jealous of her important people, of which there are few, and does not welcome newcomers.
Evari has a quirky personality and goes with her own flow. She loves dancing, especially at night when her glowsticks light up, and can often be found moving to a variety of melodies going on inside her head. He can recognize when something good has happened but can't feel anything towards it, at least not for very long and not very strongly. Because of this he's grown a bit solitary as he sees no point mingling with others. They'll only be disappointed by him and leave him alone again in the end, anyway, so why bother?
To those rare, persistent types who stick around against the odds, it's hard to tell just what you mean to Colum. He seems to treat everyone about the same, friend or foe. You have to be able to look for and see the small things. Colum is extremely loyal, for example, and will stick with a friend when they ask and never just abandon them. ● Tribe: None✦ Personality ✦ ● Raidon is not what you’d call the demonstrative type. He’s a worrywart and fiercely protective, but it’s hidden beneath a matter-of-fact exterior. Secretly he tends to freak out and overreact to a lot, but it’s like that calm exterior kicks in and cruises around on autopilot while underneath he’s fussing worse than a grandma. Sometimes the exterior cracks a bit to reveal the emotional goo under all his stoicism, but he’ll flatly deny it if you try to tease him.
Since his friends and family tend to be the type who can take care of themselves, Raidon's usually quite calm and doesn't have to worry about people finding out he's secretly a softie. How he gets his news is a mystery, since he actually likes spending most of his time off on his own. His whole family is fairly independant though, so it's not a surprise that he'd be the same. ● Tribe: None✦ Personality ✦ ● Granite comes from a very strange world. History says his tribe once lived above the earth, but one day while exploring caves part of the tribe was trapped. For generations it was a tradition for the remainder of the tribe to clear the rubble, until one day they succeeded. They didn't not find an ancient tomb as they might have expected, but that their brothers and sisters had survived and evolved in the strangest of ways. They could no longer tolerate light but saw perfectly well in pitch darkness, had fangs that turned their mouths into grotesque smiles, and, most disturbingly, some had developed deadly appetites. Those trapped in the cave split into two groups, the Morlocks and the Ferals. As a Morlock, Granite only eats cave fungi and creatures such as bats or rodents.
Granite has never had any desire to leave his underground world for the one above, where the sounds are strange and many, where even the light of the moon hurts his eyes, and where his looks and mannerisms label him as a freak. Even if you venture into his world he's not much of a talker. Granite is a protective type, towards his family and those Morlocks who still live deep in the catacombs of the cave, though most of his time is taken up looking after his skittish little brother. ● Tribe: None✦ Personality ✦ ● Ratana is cold, in both a figurative and literal sense, and her behavior isn't exactly sane. She lives up in the far north, where temperatures are so low not much can survive. Aside from needing the cold to live, she likes the solitude. She spends most of her time muttering softly to herself about the most random things, constantly roaming about looking for food, which she sometimes has to travel a little further south to get.
While odds are extremely low of her ever running into another fox, when she goes south on hunting trips it does happen from time to time. Mostly they never approach her, but when they try she becomes mute and deaf to the point that the other fox might as well not exist. She doesn't like touching or being touched either. Basically for Ratana to deliberately touch or speak to you means you hold a position of absolute trust. It rarely happens and will never be consistent, but it's possible.
She didn't start out this way. Ratana was born during special, somewhat unfortunate circumstances. Her body composition is such that her normal core temperature is much lower than average, so she can tolerate great levels of cold. What feels pleasant or warm to a normal fox is far too hot for Ratana to be able to handle. Even touching it too warm for her to tolerate for more than brief moments. This quirk of hers drove away everyone she ever met. Even when she tried to meet others in the middle there was just no comfortable way to coexist. Finally she gave up and moved to a life of frozen isolation, where her mind slowly began to degenerate for lack of any life besides herself. Ratana has the ability to generate cold. It's power is directed inward in order to keep her core temperature stable as she ventures out of the arctic wastelands she calls home to find food in warmer climates. She's can't project the power itself, but she radiates the cold from her own body the way others radiate heat, and thus can sometimes affect a normal environment. Even with this ability, there's only so much heat Ratana can safely handle.
