User ImageAella hummed as she walked slowly down the grassy slope, in a good mood today. She'd found his hill country that was just a whole bunch of grass with giant mounds sticking out of it. Occasionally between the dips she'd fine a small stand of trees, or maybe a pond. There were no flowers, but sweet-smellings herbs more than made up for it.

It was about twilight now, and the sun had just disappeared below the horizon. Aella had actually been sitting on one of the hills, watching. Now she was wondering whether she'd prefer to sleep, or do some night travel. The stars and half moon that would be out tonight could provide plenty of light for her to travel, but there was also a nice-looking stand of trees up ahead. There might not be another sheltered place like that to bunk down in for awhile.

Aella was still trying to decide as she decended, getting closer to the trees.

User ImageTsuzuki smirked as he skipped along the path he was following. His nose had picked up the sweetest smelling berry that he had encountered in at least a week and he was not going to let it go to waste. Smiling at his good fortune, he continued on his path completely oblivious to his surroundings. But that was his way. Very unlike his father. Nanashi was a flirt and a philanderer, whereas Tsuzuki was the more sweet and innocent type, and could be rather shy when he was around girls.

So while he walked, he happened to start humming a happy tune while he looked for the berry that snared his interest.

((Here, this picture should give you a better idea about their settings.))

A bit of movement made Aella pause. The trees were so sparse, with most foliage at their tops and very little undergrowth to speak of to mask her sight. She could tell that something large had started moving around underneath the trees, but she wasn't quite sure what it was. It looked like it might have wings, the way it moved with those odd lumps on it's back.

Though is was probably impossible for her to hide, given the lack of anything to hide behind and her own color setting her apart from the land, Aella tried to slink low to the ground and creep just a wee bit closer before making any decisions.

Tsuzuki smiled as he finally reached the bush that was wafting the sweet smell of berries and he stopped to take in the smell. Leaning over he sniffed the bush, then had to lick his lips. His stomach rumbled hungrily and he flicked his tongue out to taste one of the berries. And just like he suspected it was as delicious as he thought it was going to be. Smiling to himself, Tsuzuki ate his full off the bush then once again paused. But this time it was because of the air drifting up the smell of another fox.

"Mm..." Tsusuki walked out of the small group of trees and looked over the rolling hills. There wasn't hardly any coverage, so if there was a fox out there then there was no reason he shouldn't be able to see it.

That was before he actually started to look, and utterly failed in finding the fox.

Luckily for Aella she'd finished descending that hill she was on, and the trees lay more towards the top of another hill. The grass wasn't super long by any stretch, but by getting down on her belly and crawling she was able to sneak up the hill feeling fairly satisfied of her success.

More than satisfied, actually. Most foxes would, given that they were in a good mood earlier, find that having to slink on their belly in the dirt and rough grass would have seen their moods taking a sharp dive south. If anything, Aella's rocketed up! This was exciting, like the best adventure ever!

All that happy and excitment just built up in her until, so pent up with emotion she could hardly stand it, she reached the very edge of the grove.

"I say chaps, tally ho and Bob's yer freakin' uncle! A and B the C of D, wot wot! And three pounds of balderdash to boot!" Aella came up out of the grass like the earth had tossed her up, springing almost four feet up and then coming down to dash into the trees. Of course everything she'd said was mostly meaningless babble all done in a fake accent, but she had a tendency to do stuff like that when she was on a high.

Well she didn't have too run far, and not even in a straight line. She hadn't even made a dozen proper strides, weaving in between trees bordering more rolling stretches of grass, before she had to dig all four feet into the ground to keep from plowing into the light blue Phim that had, more than likely, been who she had seen from her point on the hill. "I say old chap, absolutely smashing day wot wot," she blurted, a grin stretched so wide on her face that it would probably hurt if sustained for took long and her amethyst eyes almost glowing with humor and mischief.

Tsuzuki continued to scope out the landscape until finally he saw the smallest amount of purple within the green foliage. He knew that that couldn't be natural and therefore must be the fox that he smelled earlier. Moving a little closer he waited, and it was then that the strange words of the fox drifted up to him. His eyes went wide in shock and he stood there completely flabbergasted as to what the fox was actually saying.

Maybe she was delirious with the heat, or perhaps she had gone without food for too long and thus was suffering some some kind of stroke. These were the ideas that crossed his head as the voice drew nearer.

But nothing could have prepared him for the appearance of the petitie purple vixen and her bizarre statement upon revealing herself. Tsuzuki was frist struck by how beautiful she was, then his more rational side caught up and immediately reasons, what the hell? What in the name of the Creator was this female talking about. She seemed to be staring at him waiting for a response but unfortunately there was none coming form his lips at the moment.

"Not too quick on your feet there, are ya," Aella said with sympathy, dropping her accent. "Totally cool, not everyone has the gift of instant reply. Sometimes ya gotta think." Then she plopped down on her haunches and just sat there, giving the male an expectant look. Apparently she wasn't going to just walk away without some kind of response.

"Hey now..." Tsuzuki pouted, "I am too quick on my feet. But you came out of nowhere and were talking strangely so I was....surprised to say the least." He sat down and coked his head to the side as he watched her interestingly. "My name is Tsuzuki." He smiled at her friendly, his tail wagging behind him. "You're really pretty. I bet you have a pretty name too, don't you? Can i hear what it is please?"

Aella giggled. "You're funny," she said, smiling up at Tsuzuki. "And you've got a very expressive face. It's nice, people hold too much back these days."

Her wide and enthusiastic grin turned into a quiet little smile for a moment. "My name's Aella," she said. "And thanks. You're pretty handsome too, and your name suits ya as well."

"Oh is my face expressive?" He cocked his head to the side as he thought about it, "I've never really watched myself so I will take your word for it." Tsuzuki smiled as his tail wagged steadily behind him. "thank you, I have always loved my name. My dad named me, you know. He's another phim like me. Mom too but I never really met her."

He shrugged his shoulders, "I like the name Aella." He chuckled, "It's fun to say...Aella...Kinda rolls off the tongue nicely."

Aella giggled. "Well it sounds a lot like Alala, which is an old war cry so it kind has to roll off the tongue. Oh, but my name means something like 'whirlwind', so maybe that's pretty close?" She looked at at Tsuzuki as though asking for his opinion, then was promply distracted and began examing his wings and the patterns on the feathers.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 31, 2011 11:04 pm

"Whirlwind? Wow....you even know what your name means. That is so neat. I have no idea what my name means at all." He shrugged his shoulder, "I guess my dad just liked it." He cocked his head to the side as she studied him. He blushed slightly as he looked to the side. "Um. Is something wrong with my wings?" He tried to look for himself but he was too bashful.

Aella was full-on staring at Tsuzuki's wings now, and if she heard the response he'd given to her about her name she didn't react to it. "Dude, they look so freakin' fluffy..." She reached out a paw, and lightly touched one. Her head swiveled around to stare at Tsuzuki, eyes round and maybe a touchy accusatory. "They feel fluffy! So how you doin' that really crisp pattern there?"
PostPosted: Sun Jul 31, 2011 11:34 pm

"What?" Tsuzuki looked at her baffled. His eyes went wide as he looked at his own wing, then back at her, "They're feathers. They are supposed to be fluffy." Suddenly his cheeks flooded with color as she reached out and touched him. "mm....I...I told you that they would be fluffy." He whispered in a slightly embarrassed tone as he looked off to the side. There was something odd about this vixen, but not in a bad way.

"Crisp pattern?" He blinked, "What are you talking about? I didn't so anything."

"I mean look at these freakin' swirls! They're so.....swirly," Aella said, tracing the patterns on Tsuzuki's wing with one of her paws. "All that fluffy, they should be nothing but multi-colored fuzz!" She turned around to peer at Tsuzuki again. "You're not cheating, are you?" She turned back and poked the wing again, then without any warning completely buried her face in the fluffy feathers.

"It's even fluffier like this," came the muffled shout from the wing.
