Hogwarts Monthly Update:
Gaia currently has glitches in the guild. As a result, the Monthly is still in the Chamber of Secrets. I have it completed, but due to the glitches some of the posts aren't coming out right. As a result the Hogwarts Monthly won't be released to the guild until tomorrow evening. Sorry! And ask a mod if you don't believe it's up wink

I hope everyone is enjoying their Winter Term !
I'd like to announce that end of term is sadly approaching . On a higher note, an End of Term Event is brewing through out the guild. Be wary of future dates and announcements.
As a reminder, teachers need to post their house points before March 22.

Greetings everyone, and I mean EVERYONE!
Are you feeling Lucky? Well if you're not, you should sign up for
Lucky Charms! Even if you are feeling lucky, you can always increase your luck by signing up!
In case you haven't figured it out, Lucky Charms is only a small part of the End of Term celebration (yes it's late), the rest is still to come! Stay tuned for more updates!
I might also add that the Hogwarts Express train will be delayed! I refuse to send all my students home without a celebration!
On another note: Member involvement can definitely help get things started on time. So post, post, and POST.

Good news everyone! No one has answered Riddle Number 2! It didn't take long for me to stump you guys! Just joking.... but seriously! Time is running out, so send me those guesses!
Now there are virtually more important announcements than that, so listen up!
Firstly, the event will end April 22. I know sad
We must have our student positions filled immediately. If you are interested please post in the Suggestions, Feedback, and Questions thread. Of course, you can ask questions about those positions there as well.
Winter Term's post counts are currently being tallied, and I will be announcing the Top Student Posters soon!
It's with great pleasure that I announce that Erik (our Train Conductor) has finally prepared the train! That's right: The Hogwarts Express is here to take you all home! I hope you enjoyed Winter Term 2k11! Finish up your fun here (thanks for getting rid of those pesky leprechauns), and head over to the loading dock! It's going to be a quick ride.... I can't wait to see you all back for Spring Term.
Spring Term 2k11 will be a little special...more details on that later of course!

Ahem!
Greetings everyone! This is going to be a long announcement, so listen carefully.
Firstly, thanks so much to everyone that participated in the End of Winter Term event. Luckily (pun intended), it was amazing! All winners who have yet to receive their prize, please notify me immediately.
Secondly, congratulations again to Slytherin for winning the House Cup. Their streak remains unbroken. Slytherin was also the most active House for Winter Term 2011. I will update the trophy room shortly.
Our Top Posters for Winter Term 2011 are as follows:
Haltless, techpriest35, Oshenukhar, and our top poster overall, The Queen Lana. Your winnings will be sent within the next week. (Top Poster will receive an April 2011 collectible because the contest ended in April).
The Hogwarts Express is on the way back to Hogwarts! Hurry and board because this is a quick train trip! In fact the Express is due back tomorrow May 1, 2011 at 11:59pm (EST)
Unfortunately I'm too out of breath to give you all the information about the upcoming Spring Term. However, the information will be VERY IMPORTANT. I will do my best to get enough energy to announce it tonight! Get excited because I believe classes, cleaning, and a big bash are in the air!
Remember keep checking the Entrance Hall because that information will be released shortly.

Now that I've had a bit of rest, I can properly explain about Spring Term. I hope you're all excited for this most unusual term.
Yes, this Spring term will be rather different from most other terms. It will only be 5 weeks. Your classes for this term, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Astronomy, and Transfiguration will hopefully have one lesson a week until term ends in June. Remember to thank Aunt Slappy and techpriest35 for agreeing to teach two classes each this term.
Since this term is so short, the Mod Squad and I are also hosting a Spring Bash in the Great Hall. There will also be a Lotto, and a Gobstones game.
That's not all that's special about Spring term. The Mod Squad and I will also be doing a bit of Spring Cleaning around the guild as well. This entails updating threads and lists, and most importantly, cleaning up the memberslist of those woefully inactive students and elves. Better a small, active school, than a huge one where only a tiny fraction of the students work at their studies, wouldn't you say?
Remember to keep an eye on this thread for updates!

Greetings Everyone!
I have a few important updates to give smile
I have finally given out the awards for the Top Posters of Winter Term 2011.
Congratulations to all!
Everyone remember to post in The Student Message Board for namechanges and absences!
This was an extremely short term...so the Mod Squad decided to put a little twist on the Top Student awards. This term, your opinion will count! I will give further details about this soon.
Now, we are nearing the end of Spring Term 2011. I just want to again show my heartfelt appreciation to techpriest35 and Aunt Slappy! They have been superb teachers. Make sure you let them know they're appreciated.
The final date for classes is June 3. All other dates are currently still tentative. As soon as my Mod Squad finalizes them I will announce them!
Now, Spring Term ending means one thing: The Return of the Quidditch World Cup! Yes, we are seeking all those who are great at trivia, solving riddles, and cheering to join the fun! The dates for that will be shortcoming.
Now, the Mods are looking for Referees. Referees must be good at making up Riddles (similar to what Angilwingz did last summer) and trivia questions. Please PM IceeWitch for further details if you're interested.

Greetings Everyone!!!
As promised, I finally have the Key Dates for the Summer!
*waits for applause to end*
I know, it's rather late, but as you know, greatness doesn't come in minutes!
Classes and Spring Term ends June 3. I hear from the Hufflepuff Head, that Slytherin's streak will soon end. wahmbulance
Spring Bash ends June 4! I know you have all been having fun, but all great things must come to an end...but believe me, bigger things are coming soon!
Hogwarts Express will leave Hogwarts June 3-June 14. Don't be too upset when you're kicked off the train because the Hogwarts Express returns to Hogwarts June 15-June 30... just in time for bigger things!
On July 1, the second annual Quidditch World Cup will begin!!! That event will last throughout July and August! I am quite excited to cheer on a team... but I'm not sure which one yet!

So to summarize:
June 3: Classes End
June 4: Spring Bash Ends (End of Spring Term 2011)
June 3-June 14: Hogwarts Express (Leaving)
June 15-June30: Hogwarts Express (Coming)
July 1: Quidditch World Cup begins
Now I've said this plenty of times before, but now more than ever... PLEASE CHECK THE EH OFTEN FOR UPDATES. There are still quite a few left... I believe my Head Elf has one that will be quite important to our house-elves wink
I nearly forgot to namedrop! Thanks to very generous donations from vivacious red, the World Cup is going to be a blast!
