⋆⋆⋆∥ HAKASE xELISIA ☇【 yonbantaixTAICHO 】 Elisia barely hid a smile as Tsukiko proceeded to move them both into a more comfortable position, pure happiness radiating from her face as her embarrassment vanished. As the seconds ticked by, she found herself slipping into her normal routine, feeling much more at ease with where she was. As long as she focused on the girl in front of her and nothing else, she wasn’t perturbed by their location or the fact that they were somewhere that was completely unfamiliar to her. Awkwardly watching from her position, she lapsed into childish giggles as her towel, the only thing between her and Tsuki except for her underwear, was carefully removed. For a second, she merely lay sprawled there in that fashion, content with just watching everything about her wife with bright eyes. It was a little surprising to feel that this was her wife, yet be greeted by a completely different appearance. Perhaps that was one of the strange things that simply came from dating a gynoid, along with other things. It was a little sad to not be able to read her wife’s expression or see what Tsuki was really feeling, due to an obvious lack of Tsuki’s lips from Ori’s attack.
As she finally decided that it was about time she seized control of the situation instead of letting her wife do everything, a wicked glint appeared in her eyes as well as a calm smile on her face. Leaving the towel behind her, she half-lifted her head, supporting her weight with her elbows as she balanced herself in a way that wouldn’t move Tsuki or, at the very least, not affect the other girl too much. “Perhaps it might be time for the adult to take control of the situation?” she commented in a mischievous voice, flashing a grin at Tsuki. Slowly taking a hold of Tsuki’s hands, she lightly brushed her lips on the girl’s palm, before following with a row of gentle kisses all along Tsuki’s left arm or really, as far as she could reach. She hummed the wedding march tune to set the mood in her odd kind of way, as she proceeded to do the same to the right arm, her impish smile increasing as she continued on. Finished with that, she fumbled around for the towel, before looking up at her wife with loving eyes. “Guess we should move on, right?” she whispered, as she threw the towel around Tsuki, before attempting to pull the other girl in so that they could properly start what they were meant to have been doing on their wedding night somewhere else.

Jūbantai-Taichō Out of the corner of her eye, Eriko spotted a figure that resembled that of their Captain Commander before it disappeared through the floor. It was not long before her suspicion was confirmed by the same woman's reentrance into the vicinity and almost immediate assault on her brother that included reprimanding him verbally as well as throwing him literally off of the roof. It was comical, at least. However, the chuckles ended there as Yuki-Sotaicho's tone shifted from being eeriely calm to plain demanding. As she listened to her, Eriko looked elsewhere for details about how badly had been their defeat to Zenos and company. Her eyes came across Nu, one handed and somewhat in a familiar daze. It was the first time that she had seen such a look on the older woman's face. And the way that her hand was simply hovering, almost touching her lips, the image seemed to be a reflection of how she felt with that special someone. More thought would have been given to this but a cloaked person entered her line of vision, the occurrence ridding her of the calming effect brought on previously by Yuki-Sotaicho's reiatsu spike earlier. Once it was made known that the red-eyed stranger was indeed Tsukiko, her nerves returned to the normal state of anxious expectancy, which was not the best thing since the Lieutenant had brought with her the unpleasant news of Ciel's death and his body in tow. The tears, that had stopped by the time that she had reached Elisia, found a reason to show themselves again as her chest heaved with a heavy sigh.
She turned again, the presence of Lee coming into her sight now. A more pronounced sigh escaped her at this point since she had not seen him since before the onset of the impromptu battle. She could have tried to help him not be as damaged as he was now had she not been knocked so soon. Hopefully, he understood that somehow, for her sake. His ending question puzzled her a bit since it was not something that one usually heard from him that only drew out the degree of how bad everything had become since her last conscious thought. Her mouth opened to respond to him but she was caught off by Hideki-Taicho making his own thoughts known to everyone else. Apparently, it was him in a special gigai form. Elisia’s response had washed over her with being distracted and whatnot. She watched them move away for a moment before realizing that Hei had returned and he was seated quite comfortably in one of two chairs. Eriko turned around completely to face him, her bum still planted on the grimy flooring. His first few words caused her to scowl despite their innate truth. As he continued, her facial features relaxed into a solemn expression and she allowed the weight of his words to rest on her heart. It was a blessing probably that she had been knocked out, knowing how new she was to her Bankai and everything else. The insults were taken as they came. He wanted them to understand just how weak they were in order to be where they were in that moment. His words trailed on in her mind, her eyes more focused on what was happening with a ring on his chain. Was that what she thought it was? He had the Hōgyoku and was offering them – Hollowification? At the very thought, a resounding negative response blasted into her mind, a mixture of Cho’s feelings and her own. They did not want power that badly and probably never would. Unlike Hideki, it would seem as he was the first to offer himself for the transformation. It was something to respect even though she could not see herself doing that ever at anytime. This lead her to look around for the subsequent reactions of everyone else. Who would side unknowingly with her?
Lee’s outburst made her smile widely because even though she did not share his view that to undergo the procedure would equate to lowering one’s standard’s, she did understand the notion, the desire to become more powerful and better trained due to one’s own prowess, external power sources beware. What did throw her off was Nu’s sudden walking towards Hei, her head held high to convey that she knew what she was doing. Maybe her shock came from the fact that they did not know each other that well and she had always felt weird chatting with her predecessor and her successor, likewise. However, her mind was reverted to thoughts of Lee when Yuki took a unique approach to bringing to light how close-minded the man could be at times. Unfortunately, the calm tone did not last very long considering the things that he had mentioned about her method of leadership. Eriko cringed visibly as their Sotaicho slapped him across the face and let loose her irritation at his words. The final statement shook her a little because this was her Lee-chan about whom Yuki-Sotaicho was talking – her crush and very good friend. That did not mean that there was no truth to that as well. He was being a tad bit judgmental towards Hei and the man’s personal decisions. The following verbal responses were pretty much the same. Eriko rested her left elbow and placed her chin in that hand, still on the ground and watching with childlike wonder as the scene played out around her. Things only became interesting after Hibiki’s final words and two seconds later, Hei was upon him with the obvious intention of putting the fellow Taicho through Hollowification. It was amazing to witness despite the full release of the Junibantai-Taicho’s reiryoku in the World of the Living. The young woman released some of her own, limited by her Division’s symbol, to ease the pressure even though it was not by much. The latent intention, however, was the challenge given to Lee once the Hollowification began to take place. Like Hideki, she awaited his reaction and hoped that he would realize the error of his words if Yuki’s speech had not done that already. For moment, it appeared that he had not with his shout at Yuki and the raising of his Zanpakuto above the encased body of their comrade. Eriko held her breath and sighed only when he had sheathed it again, after performing the necessary Bakudo against a writhing Hibiki-Taicho. In that second, she wanted to run up to him and comfort him in her arms, thanking him for doing the right thing.
Unfortunately, the scolding was not over for him and Tsukiko-Fukutaicho made her piece known quite nicely before leaving them completely to wander who knew to where. Not everyone had agreed with the forceful actions of Hei. This was evidenced by Tetsu-Taicho’s abrupt charge against the man, who had unsealed his reiryoku only moments ago. Fortunately, Elisia intervened and clashed swords with Tetsu, reproaching him for his less than logical behaviour of raising arms against a comrade. Once she had sealed her Shikai, the Yobantai-Taicho took her leave with the verbalized reason that she wanted to check on her wife. Before she could leave fully though, Hideki-Taicho halted her progress for a few moments so that he reiterate her spoken thoughts, an action that lead to their emphasis. At this point, Eriko was becoming bored with the whole affair. Who was quarreling? Who was keeping the pace? It was becoming redundant to an extent. The Taicho raised herself to her feet and neared a railing, leaning against it and giving her butt a rest. She allowed the following proceedings to happen without much of her attention, taking note of the Sotaicho’s orders and that she had not assigned her anything, just the way that she liked it ever so often. Apparently, there would only be four Vizard Captains, namely Hibiki, Tetsu, Hideki and Nu. It was not a problem for her and since Lee was on Hibiki-watch, she would be as well. Her attention was distant until she came to the realization that something was wrong. Her feet began to pick up pace in his direction but he was already calling for the help of…Nu-Taicho? Eriko stopped and watched from an angle that hid her from their view. She remembered vaguely Hei saying something about him killing his adoptive brother. Had he not said that Yuu-kun had simply disappeared after their mother’s death? Obviously, that was not the case and she had his emotional search for answers with Nu to prove it.
Something shifted within Eriko at the sight of this but she ignored it. They had known each other a long time before she had even considered the Gotei 13 as a home. They were friends. He likes me. Everyone knows that we are kind of a…thing. This is what she kept reciting to herself over and over even as Nu closed the space between herself and the fellow Captain as she had done to the man in his office more than a year ago. She told herself this even when a wandering hand traced her Lee-chan’s jaw line and down to his chest. It was the lie to keep her sane as Nu continued with her sweet words in a tender tone and ended it beautifully with a short kiss on Lee’s lips. She had been silent for all this time but had managed to find reason to cry three times since her arrival on the rooftop. However, this, this of all things hurt the most and took the least amount of tears as it should be. It did not even bother her that the Lieutenants had gone off somewhere. They were under orders and whoever else was there, she felt sorry for them that they had to see her in this way. Not waiting for Lee’s response to the blatantly loving kiss, Eriko strode over to the pair, stepped in between them to face Nu and asked her, “Do you love him?” She was angry and her tone did not disguise that in the slightest. The corners of her eyes were wet with tears that would never fall. Crying was for the sad and she was mad. However, the enraged tone of the one question was replaced by an eerie calmness. “It’s okay if you do, Nu-Taicho. Do you know why? I love him as well and I’m angry that it takes a fellow Captain’s betrayal to make me realize it!” Noting that her voice level had risen, Eriko lowered it to a whisper and said the next few words for Lee’s benefit, “I’m sorry that you had to find out such jarring news now but I am here for you even if you don’t love me back.” Her eyes flicked up to meet Nu’s, bearing the unspoken challenge for this man’s heart. May the best woman survive. xxx "Fear - it's a b***h."

▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ [[459~]] What was only seconds seemed like eons to the waiting woman, her hand to her lips, embarrassed by her actions, before her moments of bliss were shattered, and by Eriko no less, possibly the one person besides Hei who would have made this situation turn south. In light of her "confession" of sorts, she had to admit that she must looked in a very bad light to the younger woman. It wasn't as though Nu did not know of the man's relationship of sorts to his lieutenant, but it seemed Nu acted too much on her feelings, which pulls us all back to this moment, of Nu, Lee, and Eriko, and Nu was not one to feel any warmth from Eriko at this point.
Where did she come from, Nu did not know, though she scolded herself for not keeping track. She has not seen Nu since before the battles, where everything hit the fan and everyone had to retreat to the human world. Where on earth was she in the heat of battle? Deciding this was not the right time for this, she supposed it was the best time to answer Eriko's question directly, to make this point clear to her, to Lee, and to Nu herself, who stands firm and decides she wouldn't avoid this any longer. "Yes Eriko.....I love him as well....." She wouldn't call her confession to the man a "betrayal" of sorts, but she let it slide, Eriko deserved some time to vent her feelings, now that everything was starting to catch up to her. Though it was only a few hours earlier today, it seemed like much happened while she was "out" and she deserved to let loose her emotions.
Returning her look with one of her own, the two women did not have to speak further on this subject for the message to be any clearer. This was now a battle where rank and authority did not matter, the only thing that won in the end was the strength of their wills and conviction, something Nu was sure the two of them had ample reserves of. She was glued in place, she would not leave, and Lee was ordered to stay, and Nu was certain Eriko would not leave the two out of sight for a long time. Adjusting the strap of her outfit with her only hand, she waits for the reply of the one man who this all revolved around, predicting he would not exactly be pleased. The day has wore away at his body, mind, and patience, so she was fairly certain this will only tire him more.

|950| Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taichō"Hold it together. Birds of a feather. Nothing but lies and crooked wings. I have the answer. Spreading the cancer. You are the faith inside me. No, Don't, leave me to die here. Help me survive here, alone. Don't Remember! Remember! Put me to sleep, Evil Angel. Open your wings, Evil Angel. I'm a believer. Nothing could be worse. All these imaginary friends. Hiding betrayal. Driving the nail. Hoping to find a savior. No, don't, leave me to die here. Help me survive here, alone. Don't Surrender! Surrender! Put me to sleep, Evil Angel. Open your wings, Evil Angel. Fly over me, Evil Angel. Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?" Lee stared at Nu unblinkingly waiting for her answer to his question curious as to how she would respond to such a seemingly random question. He was thankful for his renewed closeness to Namihime as it was quite draining to not be on good terms with her. Already he felt slightly better just knowing that no matter what he could count on his spirit for support again. Still he wasn't quite ready to hear just what Nu might have to say on the subject given she didn't know the whole story. She might make the wrong assumption given the situation then again she could make the right assumption. Either way her silence and hesitation was unnerving and Lee found himself holding his breath slightly in anticipation of her telling him off. Then she began speaking and Lee got a confused look as she called him her role model. He was her role model? That was an odd thing to hear for him after remembering what he had done in self defense. No one should consider him a role model. He wasn't all that good of a person and his faults at times outweighed the good in his opinion. Therefore even the thought of being someone's role model made him feel odd. Staring back into her eyes with his own golden orbs Lee was no longer holding his breath almost feeling as if he had been punched in the gut.
"You should not have ever considered me a role model Nu... I am not deserving of being called someone's role model. Not to mention there are so many better choices. I am afraid in my case the good is outweighed by the bad." Returning his gaze to the floor he shook his head at the comment about what he did for Soul Society. What had he really done? Though Lee was very aware of Nu closing the distance between them giving her a confused expression. He probably should cheer up if for no other reason than to get through the rest of the day because of all he still had to do. He wasn't in agreement that he didn't deserve such punishment. Then her hand traced his jawline and rested on his chest causing him to give her yet another confused expression. "What are you doing Nu..?" Then after one more little question that he never had the chance to answer she planted her lips firmly on his for the second time today. The action confirmed the thought that she had feelings for him but given the current situation didn't help him one bit in his decision. He had no idea of his feelings towards Nu or Eriko and which one fell under the category of love and which fell under friend. His emotions were already in such a mess as was his mind that he literally didn't no how to react.
As she pulled back ending the kiss she told him to call her Mitsuru which was obviously her real name which would take some getting used to for sure. Then quite suddenly in his confusion he had failed to notice Eriko until she was directly between them facing away from him and asking Nu if she loved him. That was a question that was on his mind as well and unfortunately he would be receiving his answer soon. The tone of Eriko's voice was anger and without meaning to Lee backed away a few steps to let them argue this out while he tried to get his thoughts into a semblance of order. Then Eriko's tone took on an eerie calm as she began speaking again saying it was okay if Nu did have feelings for him. It was? Then he was shocked as Eriko then stated that she loved him as well causing lee to turn away for a moment as a confused look appeared on his face. How could either of them love him? Then Eriko whispered back to him saying she was sorry and was hear for him even if he didn't love her back. Did he love her back? Then his thoughts were shattered as Nu confirmed her feelings of love. How could this all have happened. The way each of them stated their love it almost made it seem like he wouldn't have a choice between the two that they would decide it for them.
Lee was willing to let them decide for the moment as he felt strong feelings towards both of them but still couldn't sort what they were. Returning to sitting on the ground Lee rested his arms on his legs again before getting into a meditative position. Having remained silent since Eriko appeared Lee finally decided it was time he at least say something. "You both love me? May I ask why? I am sorry but for the moment I am unsure of my own feelings. They betray me on this day. I am torn between the two of you with what I imagine is feelings of love for both. I'm sorry." Falling silent afterward Lee took a few deep breaths and let them out still monitoring Hibiki's progress. He seemed to have settled down for the time being though Lee was ready to launch countermeasures if things turned south with the man. For the moment he was content with remaining silent now wishing he was not stuck on the roof and also wishes that scene had not just happened in front of Hideki and Yokozuki. Such things should have remained private though he supposed it would be fine. Hopefully Hideki hadn't noticed anything given he was communing with his zanpakuto. Then again who knew what the man could retain while like that.

Yokozuki Nekkyo
------Sanbantai Taichou It's a good thing he didn't pull the secret string
-----Which reveals a secret compartment Containing one
----------Embarrassing picture of sponge bob at the Christmas party.→---- Yokozuki gave a rather uninterested attitude towards the entire situation, though grave at it seemed, he knew little to nothing about the matter, only basic information he had been picking up over the conversations. Being now addressed by the Captain commander herself, his frustration about it all only heightened, though he pursued no argument towards the command, only giving off no hint of emotions towards it. He then sat down, crossed his legs, place his left hand firmly on his left knee, closing his eyes and now expressing a rather annoyed look on his face, though not verbally expressing his clearly enraged state, he only gave a slight huff of air before reaching in his robes secretly, taking a very swift and quick swig of sake, before re-sealing the bottle and placing it securely into his kimono. He didn't have a chance to communicate with Akane as he appeared and vanished so quickly, he was a bit curious of where he had went, but decided to not put any concern on the matter. This hollowfication process made Yokozuki aghast at the thought, though not outwardly displaying it, he thought it completely unnatural and disgusting, diminishing their true nature as a Shinigami. He opened his eyes, narrowing them to his right, thinking of Hibiki, it was infuriating him, even more so that he wasn't fully made to understand what precisely what was going on, though he supposed the fault was his as he had arrived so late. "I suppose soon shinigami will no longer exist, we'll all just be a pack of wild degenerates, I can't believe that the Captain Commander herself could reconcile the situation this way. It's pathetic, if we can't defeat them as is we don't deserve to win." Yokozuki was speaking aloud, not typically caring if he was over heard, though he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings.

Jūbantai-Taichō An urge to slap Nu clear across her face rose in her chest but Eriko suppressed it especially when she saw her own determination mirrored back at her. There would be a fight - a display of each woman's love for the same man. The sudden movement of Nu fixing her top brought it back to her attention that the older female had been handicapped in the line of fire whereas her own clothes were dingy from sitting on the floor for so long. However, that did not change anything. It would be an insult to her feelings and Nu's honor as a woman and Captain even to suggest a backdown from the challenge due to pity or something like it. Her eyes, ignited with a fiery hurt, continued to search Nu's as her body was tensing up for battle. The arrows would not be needed. Cho would suffice as a partner. Eriko began to slip the quiver and bow off of her when Lee spoke up. His words seemed to pull all the fight out of her momentarily. Once the equipment was off of her back, the younger Captain turned on her heel and swept down into a kneeling position in front of him, the arrows and company in her lap. Her wet, grey eyes shimmered in the light of the Human World sun.
"Do you really have to ask that, Lee-chan?" It was the first time that she had been brave enough to voice her secret sobriquet for him but the occasion called for it, in her opinion. "Don't be sorry that you can't decide. It took me a while to come to terms with how I truly felt about you as a fellow Captain and friend. You make me happy in a sense of the word that I did not know existed. It's that you took time to know me as a person and not as the object that I had begun to identify myself as. You gave me the permission that I needed to uncollar myself at last. I love that you will speak your mind at the risk of being wrong and even when you are, you take it in stride and learn from the mistake." At this point, she was crying again and feeling like a wuss for it but she plundered on her spoken trail of thought. "I admire your ideals about protection and that inspires me to want to do the same for you when you can't do it for yourself. This past year has been so wonderful to us, Lee but if you don't feel the same, I love you enough to let it go. Your happiness means more to me and I won't try to force you to love me back." Her voice had been soft the whole time, cracking at some points due to her obvious emotions. Her hands wiped away the rivers that were flowing from her eyes and she bit her lip, staying put in her present position because it was there that she belonged. xxx "Fear - it's a b***h."

▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ [[640]] Finally the man speaks, and naturally, not to Nu's surprise, he is both conflicted and tired, just what she was afraid of. "Well, that is what you think of yourself. I will keep my beliefs separate and we'll see who is correct..." Her voice barely a whisper now, it wasn't natural for her to be this soft. It seems the day wore her out as well, more then just her arm, it seemed to spread throughout her body, this tiredness. Upon hearing his request to know why, she could only shake her head, smiling sheepishly. "Unfortunately and I am sincerely sorry Lee,but I'm tired.....in more ways then one, and I have a Hollowfication to prepare for......I'll tell you in private at a later date, when we can all be in a better state of mind, please Lee ...." Today was taxing everyone, and she didn't need him so conflicted that it interferes with his work, as though it could ever. "No, its my fault for speaking so late, the apologies should be mine to give....." While it seemed Eriko wished to fight, Nu had not the muscle or the mental capacity at the moment for such feats.
Her greatest wish was for the day to end, though she should focus on preparing herself for Hollowfication more then anything today, a quick glance at Hibiki's state brought her back into the reality on where they were, and this was hardly the place to declare confessions and whatnot. "N-now, I'm sure we could use some time to clear our heads, s-so let's just put this off for a more fitting time?...." She wasn't trying to put this discussion off, but Lee knew how unfitting this time was, and he was hardly in any condition to continue this anyway, so it left Nu no choice but to bow politely to the two of them before retreating to a more secluded corner of the rooftop, taking a leaf from Hideki's book and being calm, sitting next to the captain to meditate as well, though Tenka was in no mood to converse.
Setting herself down in a firm lotus position, she tries the usual breathing exercises, to regulate her breathing and get her bearing straight. Her mind, a turbulent vortex of emotions, died down to the calmer sea as Nu's only thought now was preparation. Apparently, Hollowfication was a battle of the mind as well, therefore she needed to clear the elements that plagued her thoughts, that could prove to be her undoing in the coming procedure. Once she was perfectly calm she could perceive things sharper, like she could normally do. The higher elevation causing the wind to be chillier on the rooftop, the cars and buses ringing down below, and the paranoid feeling a certain captain was listening in.
"You heard all that?"
She kept her voice to a hiss, she knew Yokozuki wouldn't care for such matter, but Hideki was another story. She could only imagine how much of it he listened to while talking with his zanpakutou. Exhaling another breath of fresh air, an eye raised to examine his emotionless face didn't help in her nagging suspicious. Hideki was like Hei in that he saw things scientifically, as he was the first to submit to Hollowfication when everyone else so strongly disagreed, so she doubted he would say much on the matter, but still, no shame in asking, they were, after all, discussing it rather loudly. "I apologize for the scene, but I am curious on one thing...." Her eye looking down at his arms, she knew of its origins, and it was becoming clear as to what she was asking about. "Your arms, they are mechanical yes? Can you tell me more about them?"

 Tadashi Sakamoto
9th Division Lieutenant Sakamoto just sort of stared at Akane. "...Well...that might be excessive, and we might just take a few lives while we're at it. I wonder if that's really the way to go for this."
He then glanced at Suzume, trying to read her expression. She seemed to have forgotten about whatever close friend that had been lost during the invasion on the outside, but perhaps her mind was specifically finding excuses to forget about it...or maybe just concealing the hurt. Feeling sympathetic but doubting it was his place to inquire further about it, he waited for Akane's reply to the statement.

Hideki’s eyes slid softly, barely becoming noticeable under his eyelids, over to the side where Nu was moving. Hideki had begun to hear the shuffling of her feet, as light as they were, the moment she turned to move towards him. He did not move at all when Nu moved to her seated position, rather he sat perfectly still as she did so. Hideki found it odd that she would want to converse with him, but he supposed it was due to the worn conversation that was currently floating around them. Being that she was so close, Hideki did not have a hard time hearing her regulate her breathing , which was only broken by her want to converse with the oddest question. You heard all that? Hideki’s features were besmirched with a smirk when he heard the words. Just after the smirk came a small hmph that naturally came with a soft laugh. “Of course I heard it. Why else would I keep you all in ear shot? I was not simply keeping tabs upon Hibiki-Taichō.” Hideki’s left eye peeked open and looked towards Nu when he began his last sentence.
Around the time where she let out a breath, Hideki moved Datenshi from his lab, sheathed it, then removed that from his lower back to lay along his shoulder with the bottom of the sheath in the middle of his lap [think of Kenpachi]. When Nu apologized for the scene that occurred before him, Hideki chuckled softly internally, causing his shoulders to shutter softly. However this slowed to nothing but still stance when she posed her question to him. Letting a sigh roll from his mouth, Hideki slit both his eyes to look to her with an almost cold gaze, his icy blue eyes looking silver in the moonlight. “That question’s answer relies solely upon your knowledge of mechanics and the specific part of the arm that intrigues you. I have no objections to telling you about it, but do please be more specific than for me to simply tell you about them. They are far too complex to sum up any more simply than a pair of mechanical arms. That sums them best. For any more details bring up something far more enlightening then that broad statement.” Hideki’s older side had come out in his response, being quite sharp in the wording and direct in its use. He wanted Nu to ask a question that was not so broad of a question that it could be answered with what she already knew. Hideki was a lazy man in conversations, what he could avoid having to say, or what he did not have to say, he, more often than not, would not do it. Thus, with her current question his response would simply be, They are indeed mechanical arms.
Shifting in his place, Hideki closed his eyes once more and rested his hands in his lab, his right hand looped around Datenshi’s sheath. He knew he may have spoken cryptically, but he could not care less about it. Nu would get the gist of it, and Hideki was tired.

395 xxxxxxxxClimb the mountains and get their good tidings. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxNature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. Hakase Yuki 博士雪 Ichibantai Taichō
As multiple individuals filtered into the kitchen and the like, Yuki merely spared them passing glances, which was to be expected as she didn't really care for interaction at the moment; others getting any attention was already a lot. Silently keeping to herself, she constantly monitored her entire body after taking to condensing her body-reading ability onto only herself and foregoing her normal surveillance of others. Though she could hear Tadashi and Akane's back and forth session, she paid it as little attention as everything else, despite the fact that they were discussing stealing food from a store right under her nose. As their superior, she should have been more concerned about their intentions, especially since she had an idea of where Hei had gone off to, and if she was right, they wouldn't have to worry about this any more. Or at least she wouldn't; the others might end up on their own. However, given the situation of several people and a limited amount of food, she couldn't bring herself to think of every moral in the book. Then there was the fact that once they wandered out of the barrier, they would be lost for good, but her frustration was preventing her from bringing this up at all.
To Yuki's relief, Suzume approached those in the kitchen to bring news of her bed being made on top of news that she had found money that they could use. Again, Yuki had to brush aside the fact that using someone else money was immoral. Scooting back in her chair, Yuki stood up and allowed Suzume to lead her to her new room and once they were there, she half-heartedly expressed her thanks to the girl and shut the door behind her. Letting out a small sigh, Yuki discarded her shorts and half shirt and stood near the door with a tired expression filling her face. "I wish this day would just end already..." She mumbled as she ambled over to the bed and sat down, allowing her body to ease into the comfort of the chilly sheets while she flopped onto her back and shut her eyes. Without even bothering to get under the covers, Yuki situated herself on her side, keeping her back to the door while she curled up and stared at the wall opposite her as her thoughts began to race. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, xxxxxxxx And the storms their energy, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx While cares will drop off like autumn leaves.xxxxxxxxxx [Not really happy with this one.]

861 ◤xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx◥ Hakase Hei Jūnibantai Taichō ◣xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx◢ "...allow me to show you a fate worse than death." After locating a nearby bank and getting the money he needed, Hei quickly made his way to the nearest store and entered the premises without a second thought. Unlike those he had left at the apartment, he was not faced with the same conundrum that they were; he had no problem with humans being aware of his presence. Once he was inside, he took a brisk walk around the place until he located a man with "Manager" written on his name tag, whom Hei quickly grabbed by the back of the shirt and dragged towards an open door that lead to an office, then shut the door behind him. Within a matter of minutes, Hei easily convinced the manager that the store was haunted and that if he didn't get what he wanted, that he would see to it that the store never had business again. With that out of the way, Hei was stocked up on the best food the store had available and had paid his bill, which was so small that Hei could hardly believe people could eat like this. After the fact, he had also paid to have all the food delivered to the apartment, while he sat on the roof of the vehicle that shipped everything.
Once the driver reached the address, he stepped out with a confused expression. To him, as it was to anyone else outside the barrier, the apartment building was not there at all. "I could swear the address is right... but there's no apartment complex here at all. Mr Ghost, are you sure this is right?" He said to empty air. Hopping off his seat on the roof, Hei landed on the ground as gracefully as a cat and whisked himself past the driver, bumping into his shoulder lightly. Just like it was for the driver, the apartment complex existed outside of Hei's consciousness, but luckily he had taken counter measures for this and through sight recognition alone, he was reminded to use his Bankai once he saw the surrounding buildings. As his attire shifted, the blank space in front of him became hazy as it;s effects on his mind began to turn off due his suppression powers, presenting the barrier and everything inside for him to see. Extending a hand he touched the barrier with his index finger and caused it to shatter, causing the driver to jump in fright, which was to be expected from any human who suddenly saw a building and its adjoining lot pop up out of nowhere.
"How... I..." He stammered before having his clipboard and pen taken by Hei who scrawled the simple command of "unload it all, then leave" onto the top piece of paper in plain English, then handed it back to him. Not at all surprisingly, the driver was taken aback by the hovering of his board and the phantom message, but nevertheless, he began to unload the food, taking it from the truck into the main lobby of the apartment complex a few boxes at a time. Meanwhile, Hei jumped up to the roof just in time to hear Nu's and Eriko's squabblings end and for Yokozuki to cast a snide remark about the Hollowfication. Typical of him, Hei thought. Without breaking his stride or looking his way, Hei retorted to Yokozuki before disappearing behind the staircase's door. "Those who did not participate have no right to say such things. Isn't that right, Yokozuki-chan?" This was, of course, a jab at his decision to remain in a child's body while a war was going on, but he didn't expect him to bright enough to catch that; not that he cared if he did.
Once Hei reached the room he knew Yuki was in, simply by feeling their unique connection that called him to her and vice versa, he put his hand to the handle and entered the room. The first sight he was blessed with was his sister's pale, almost snow white skin and the red pair of underwear that she had chosen this morning while he lay in bed watching her get ready for the wedding, much to her chagrin. It took him a second to take his gaze off her body before he realized that she was not covered by any type of covers. Exhaling a sigh, he shut the door quietly behind him and made his way over to the bed, stopping when he got right next the edge and leaning over to look his sister in her eyes as his hair pillowed on the bed. "Yo." He said plainly before he straightened up and picked her up off the bed so that he may adjust the covers, then set her down and pull the sheet and blanket over her. Dropping to one knee, he put his hand to the side of her face and ran his thumb along her cheek as he smiled at her. "You can't sleep without a blanket or you'll catch cold. Please be more careful in the future, okay?" After leaving a kiss on her lips, he got up and occupied the chair next to the bed for the time being.

Hibiki Kirisho - Squad Nine Captain - ================================================
The gods trembled The demons flockedAs the different events unfolded from around him, Hibiki’s body became silent and still as the Shinigami’s harrowing began within his inner world. The blade fragments from his Bankai ceased to move and remained fixed in their position on the barrier’s cracked surface. The mummified figure itself remained placid, save for a few twitches and bulges here and there, most likely a result from the body’s slow devolution into a hollow. Even from underneath the bandages, one could already see Hibiki’s hollowfied form, resembling that of the mythical Tengu, half-bird half-man deities of Japanese folklore. Needless to say, his mask was the first to take shape underneath the bindings, resulting to the deformation of his facial area into that of a beaked figure. Next his hands and feet started to mutate into talons from underneath, and two spiked bulges on his back indicated the starting growth of a pair of wings, who were most likely being restrained by the cloths.
Meanwhile, as these abominable metamorphic events transpired, Hibiki faced his inner hollow that had just appeared before him, mere moments after Kaze and Oni had released him. Keeping his eyes set upon his hollow self, Hibiki’s hand slowly reached for his zanpakuto as he lowered himself into a fighting stance ”Eager to fight, aren’t you?” commented his hollow, its voice a distortion of Hibiki’s own voice made more hollow-like. Upon hearing it, Hibiki paused for a moment to see what it would attempt to do, he estimated that they were both at equal level, so it would most likely boil down to combat ferocity and tactics. Shrugging its shoulders, it gave a nonchalant look of disinterest as it looked straight at Hibiki ”Well, it doesn’t really matter anyway.” it spoke as it cracked a wide grin ”After all, you’ve already lost.” taunted the hollow as it smiled at Hibiki.
The hollow’s words didn’t surprise Hibiki that much, he had expected his hollow to hold some amount of arrogance, and it was simply behaving as he had expected it to be ”Does that mean you’re confident that I can’t defeat you?” he replied, watching as the hollow raised an eyebrow in response to his statement. Chuckling a bit it spoke out once more ”What are you talking about? Of course not, we’re equal in terms of power, Hibiki. To claim that I can easily beat you is a fool’s claim, and I, Hibiki, am no fool.” came the hollow’s response, surprising Hibiki causing him to lose his grip on his zanpakuto. Sensing his confusion, the hollow quickly continued, clapping his hands together to catch Hibiki’s full attention ”You speak as if victory and defeat are the only conditions for winning and losing. Hibiki, that kind of thinking doesn’t suit you.” approaching Hibiki, the hollow stretched out his hands to his sides, summoning a swirl of winds that slowly increased in terms of strength and power. Noticing his advance, Hibiki slowly backed away, not wanting to get caught in whatever the hollow was planning ”Why do you retreat?” commented the hollow once more as it continued its advance ”So that you do not fall prey to my winds, so that you do not lose? Hibiki, I told you, you already lost. This fight belongs to me.” it taunted him once more.
Realizing that his opponent had gone into Bankai long before they began their conversation, Hibiki drew his zanpakuto and entered Bankai as well ”Bankai, Tenrai Kazeoni.” he spoke as the massive signature cyclone enveloped him, halting the hollow’s advance, though it didn’t seem to mind anyway. Floating inside the hellish winds his Bankai’s Fujin form created, Hibiki spoke out to the hollow ”You said that you know you won’t defeat me so easily. If that’s the case, why do you keep on saying that I’ve already lost?” asked the Shinigami as the hollow simply stared at him and scoffed a bit. Combing his hair a bit to relax himself, the hollow stared at Hibiki and answered him ”You don’t pay attention, do you?” materializing a single chakram blade, he twirled it around using his index finger as he pocketed his other free hand ”Let’s say you defeat me. Let me ask you, how different is it from when I defeat you?” it asked, further confusing Hibiki ”Let me answer that one for you, Hibiki; control, that is the only difference between those two scenarios. Who gets to control the body is what is decided in this fight. But then again, that isn’t important to you, right Hibiki?” asked the hollow.
Biting his lip, Hibiki couldn’t help but agree, he didn’t much about controlling the hollow, in his mind all he wanted to do was to kill it and banish it forever from his inner world. But thanks to Hei’s machinations, he knew he was stuck with this affliction, and the thought drove him close to insanity out of anger. However, what was standing before him wasn’t Hei, it was his inner hollow, and he had to focus if he hoped to defeat it. Snapping its fingers to catch his attention, the hollow continued ”No, of course it isn’t. You deem pride to be far above power, above control. But, you’ve already lost that Hibiki. And just to make sure you understand it, here are the two possible outcomes.” with that, the hollow lifted two fingers and presented them to Hibiki ”One, I defeat you and I control this body. This results in you becoming a hollow, whereupon your allies will kill you. Second, you defeat me and control this body. This results in you becoming a Vizard. Notice anything, Hibiki? There’s no outcome wherein you kill me.” stated the hollow, much to Hibiki’s chagrin, as it had just stated the obvious truth which he had been trying to avoid ”For someone like you who deems hollows and Vizards as evil entities. There’s no victory waiting for you after this battle, only a temporary reprieve from me. But I’ll always be here Hibiki, whenever you draw your blade, whenever you summon your mask, whenever you breathe, think or kill, from here on out, I am your shadow. And there’s nothing you can do about it, Vizard!” shouted the inner hollow, before throwing the chakram towards Hibiki, who easily dodged it.
However, as the chakram went past him, his inner hollow utilized Tori to appear in the chakram’s place, now dangerously close to Hibiki. Snapping his fingers, it whispered ”Fujin, Fukuro.” causing a burst explosion of winds a few inches from Hibiki, followed by an onslaught of sharp blade fragments, powerful enough to cut through steel. Disappearing from his location, Hibiki reappeared a few yards away, visibly wounded by the assault. Looking at his inner hollow, he could only curse at it as it smiled in his direction. He couldn’t find the will to fight on; it was as it said he had already lost. Gnashing his teeth together as he balled his fist, tightly, Hibiki forced himself to go back to his fight, though in the back of his mind, he wanted it to simply end. Titling its head, the inner hollow stretched out its two hands towards Hibiki, sending an onrush of blade fragments towards him. Willing the winds into one powerful cyclone, Hibiki managed to disperse the blade fragments around him, where they circled around harmlessly. But, the sudden reappearance of Hibiki’s inner hollow was about to change that. Using Tori, it appeared to Hibiki’s left side, and with a snap of its fingers, seemed to condense all of the Fukuro blade fragments into one Tengu chakram. Expecting an attack, Hibiki disengaged a single cyclone towards the area to stop it, but stopped midway when the hollow appeared to his right side, holding a single blade fragment in his hand which allowed him to use Tori. Attempting to figure out just what the hollow had in mind, Hibiki barely had time to react when it threw the fragment straight towards Hibiki. Knowing full well that he could easily relocate the Tengu chakram in its place, Hibiki ceased his counter-attack and focused once more on defense. However, as the blade fragment neared him, his eyes widened in surprise as his inner hollow suddenly appeared in its place, clutching an Uchiwa chakram in its hand. Bracing himself for impact, Hibiki felt the raw destructive power of the chakram as it clashed with his Fujin cyclone, cancelling each other out. Before he could Shunpo away, Hibiki was met by a quick punch to the gut by his inner hollow’s left fist, causing him to bend over in pain. This set him up for a quick 45 degree kick to the head which was delivered by the inner hollow’s right foot. Dazed but still conscious, Hibiki attempted to deliver a swinging right hand cut, but it was quickly parried to the inner hollow’s right side using his left hand. Then, the hollow delivered a quick knee strike to Hibiki’s chest area; debilitating him and sending him straight back up. Upon standing up, he was met a by a quick one-two punch on the left and right side of his face, before once again the inner hollow attempted another strike at his stomach using its right hand. This time, however, Hibiki managed to block it, however, as if it had already expected this, the hollow instead launch a quick right elbow to Hibiki’s face, dazing him, before performing a low sweep kick to throw him off balance, finally finishing with a double-hand hammer strike to Hibiki’s back, sending him crashing back down to the ground as their fight had gained some reasonable elevation, especially when Hibiki used Fujin.
As Hibiki laid sprawled on the ground, his inner hollow recalled his Uchiwa chakram to him and began twirling it around his index finger ”Is that all you got, Hibiki?” he spoke as he slowly lowered himself down to the ground ”Don’t get me wrong, wailing on you is tons of fun, but in the end we’re going to have to finish this.” spoke the hollow while he looked at Hibiki as he slowly stood back up, panting from exhaustion. Recalling his own Tengu chakram to him, Hibiki faced his inner hollow, visible exhausted and damaged, his eyes were almost vacant, void of the will to fight as he had come to accept the fact that whatever he did, he was stuck with his inner hollow for the rest of his life, and even his utter contempt for the man responsible for this curse was unable to bring even a spark back into his eyes. Tilting his head as he noticed Hibiki’s dolorous expression, his inner hollow couldn’t help but smirk at him ”Hey now, don’t look so glum, chum. You’re not the only one suffering from an internal conflict, you know? Take me for example, as a hollow I have insatiable desire to feed and kill, but seeing as how I have intellect, I am prone to reasoning. Now, hear me out, on one hand if I beat you, I’ll end up controlling your body as a hollow, but then again I’d be killed on the spot, which isn’t that fun. On the other hand, if you beat me, I get to live. Well, I’ll most likely be suppressed inside your psyche and all that, but I can just call that the rent fee, right?” jested the hollow, as Hibiki continued to remain silent ”So you see, just as you are torn between dying as a hollow and living on as a Vizard. I’m torn between instinct and survival.” spoke the hollow, as he provided a makeshift balance using his hands to further illustrate his point.
Unbeknownst to him, however, inside Hibiki’s mind, one of his words carried past Hibiki’s sorrow and grief, echoing across his consciousness. Survival, his inner hollow said he was fighting his own instinct to kill and instinct to survive. Hibiki thought it odd that his inner hollow was fighting such a battle inside him, until the fact that he had done so during his past dawned upon him. As a Rukongai citizen, his instincts told him only one thing, to survive. Hibiki did anything to survive during his stay in Rukongai, he ran, he hid, he lied, and he stole. He did all of these not out of a want to do them, but out of a need to them. Even his own decision to become a Shinigami was fueled by an instinct to survive, to escape the slums for a better life. The fact was that his entire lifetime, up to this point, had been a fueled by the instinct to survive. And right now, that instinct to survive told him to get up and fight, at the same time his instinct as a Shinigami told him to stand down and die a noble death. Instinct or survival, Hibiki knew his choice was clear, and he reprimanded himself for taking so long to decided. Clutching his Tengu chakram, a bright flash enveloped it, catching the hollow’s attention, as the light died out, the chakram was no more, and its place stood the unsealed form of Hibiki’s zanpakuto, held in his left hand.
Falling silent for a while, Hibiki’s inner hollow covered his mouth as he began to giggle, before he could no longer restrain himself and simply laughed out loud for a minute or so. Chuckling, he looked at Hibiki, his grin reaching from ear to ear ”Well that isn’t fun. It seems like you made my choice for me, Hibiki. I guess being a Vizard is too much of a burden, eh? Ah well, don’t worry, I’ll try my best to escape the others, at least that way you’ll still be alive, see you later, Hibiki.” with that the hollow dashed towards Hibiki, his right hand clutching the Uchiwa chakram as he held it behind him. When he was near enough, he launched a straight punch towards Hibiki aiming to hit him squarely in the chest, which most likely shatter his bones and rend his flesh due to the sheer power behind the strike. However, at the last second, Hibiki managed to sidestep the attack, causing it to crash into his right chest, mostly likely causing a great deal of internal damage, but still not enough to outright kill him. A brief silence fell as blood dripped down to the ground, that of Hibiki’s and his inner hollow’s as Hibiki’s zanpakuto managed to pierce the hollow’s right thigh. Smirking, the hollow was impressed by Hibiki’s resilience ”You’re a pretty tough--“ ”Shut it.” interrupted Hibiki, surprising the hollow ”Bankai.” uttered Hibiki, much to the hollow’s shock and horror. As the sword transformed into its Bankai state, the sequence of events effectively massacred the hollow. One of the uniform cross’ arms impaled him from the right thigh up to his left shoulder, and the subsequent rotation eviscerated him with respect to his body’s coronal plane, before the wing’s rotation performed the same gruesome punishment, this time transversely. As the Fujin cyclone reappeared and subsequently switched into a Tengu chakram, all which remained of the inner hollow was shreds of flesh that seemed to float in space, as well as a disembodied bust, ravaged as well by the hellish winds.
Understandably bloody and fatigued, the inner hollow chuckled amidst its pain ”So it went the other way around, eh? Should’ve known it was a 50-50 chance. Ah well, it was a good fight I suppose.” all the while Hibiki remained silent as he looked on at his inner hollow slowly starting to disappear ”Don’t give me that look, Hibiki. I’m not going to go away, not now, not ever. So you might as well get used to it. In any case, I suppose I’ll be seeing you later, eh, Vizard?” with that the hollow faded away allowing Hibiki to exit his inner world. Meanwhile, back in the outside world, Hibiki’s body abruptly ceased its mutation, and now sounds of cracking could now be heard, like bone being crack and broken apart. As the figure began to twist and turn, the Fukuro fragments around it suddenly pierced it from all directions, attempting to break it free of the bindings. Bit by bit, the bindings slowly gave way to the rapid assault of the blades, until Hibiki’s hollow masked face made itself visible, before letting out a hollow-like shriek in a last burst of reaitsu. As the mask broke apart, revealing Hibiki’s face underneath, the body finally became calm and still as the Captain fell face first to the ground, obviously unconscious from his ordeal.

Akane Itsuki, Third Seat of Division Three
Riku Ryuu of the Black Mist Mountains
Akane looks from Tadashi to out the window. He notices the barrier has fallen, and a human stands next to Hei. Akane looks now to Tadashi, "I think we're good for now.. we should go and get stuff up here. I know a dish to make, so I'll grab what I want from down there." He walks out of the room and to the staircase. He slowly moves down to the lower levels and looks over the food. He grabs some veggies and meats, with a couple packs of pasta. He tries to open the door, but the stuff he grabbed is disabling this. He sighs and kicks the door in. Akane walks to a counter and plops the stuff down.
He goes to the stove and fires it up. He grabs a 6-inch deep pot and fills it with water, putting the stove up to boil. Akane grabs a sauce pan and starts chopping up vegetables. He opens a cabinet and grabs a blender. He plugs it in and cuts the greens from the tomatoes, throwing them in the blender and blending them on 'Fine'. Akane tosses some pasta noodles in to the boiling water. He pours the tomato sauce in to a pan and cuts up some other veggies, such as peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, and then some green spices. He throws it on the sauce and puts it on the stove. He stirs the sauce and starts on more, as he knows the Captains will eat a lot. He blends more of the tomatoes and chops the greens as he begins another pot to boil.
Akane stands back and takes out a small case, drawing a cigarillo and striking a match. He lights the cigarillo and sings to himself, taking the cigarillo away from the food as he goes to check on it. The cigarillo strangely smelled of peach and vanilla. He thinks out loud, "Huh.. maybe I could make cream and peaches.. fer dessert." He takes a drag and brings it back as he stirs the sauce.

 Tadashi Sakamoto
9th Division Lieutenant Tadashi nearly banged his head on one of the hard wooden surfaces on the cabinets of Hibiki's kitchen when he noticed the food that Hei had brought in. How the hell did a spirit pick those up without a memory eraser and without causing a commotion? The Lieutenant simply remained in place, both irritated and dumbstruck, as Akane went about fixing the meal.
"Ugh...the only thing I know is cake baking, so I won't be of much assistance to you," said Tadashi as a note to the Third Seat at work. The only reason he knew how to bake cakes was the intensive study of a human world recipe in a desserts cookbook that he'd been trying to get his head around. He'd used that as an excuse to study the function and usage of electric mixers and ovens at the time. Having had little actual human world experience like Hibiki, it was probably a feat to have learned that much.
