Journal Entry The other night Orpheus received a caller for me, and though I could only catch the distance of their conversation I never met the woman that came to my home. From what I'd heard, Orpheus had done a rather good job giving information but none too valuable to harm anyone. I hope. Despite his cool composition during the meeting though, when he came to my rooms he was pale and he almost shook with some sort of fear that had taken him. She smelled like death, he'd whispered to me before he left for his room for the remainder of the night. Indeed, I could smell the trace upon him. We vampires have no need to fear death, we see it often; but this was different. Orpheus no doubt could smell death as if his own was eminent. Before, as a child, he'd thought himself full vampire, a being that doesn't change for the whims of time like mortals do. His growth to teen stage however might have brought his mortality into a possibility. All I know is that he has been seriously shaken by the meeting with the woman and I hope for his sake he will never encounter her again.

Journal Entry I'd needed to calm my nerves, get out of the home and away from the stench that...that b***h had left behind in my territory. It's foul, clogging your nose until you feel as though you could choke. I wish she would succumb to her own smell and realize showers were invented for a reason. But that's why I got out of the house; that's why I felt like I had to run away. I went to the park. I am always ending up at the park. It is wild and open and ready for an adventure that never seems to take place. I will there to be some excitement in the park, but all I ever find are mediocre scent-children milling about, playing in the sand, talking of whimsical nothings. Tonight was no different. There was a girl and I got to know her. She is like the moon and I confess I think she enchanted me. I even allowed...I allowed her to give me a nickname. I remember telling Crystal so long ago, so many months, even years ago, that I would never accept a nickname. And yet, here is this girl calling me Orphie and thinking it the most delightful thing in the world. I felt as though my mouth couldn't tell her to stop, but next time I meet her I'll be sure to hold my ground.
