Bio:
In everything there is good and bad; this is true everywhere, even in those places that are seemingly peaceful, and even under the most noble rule, hatred and evil seethes beneath. Even those born amidst flourish and prosperity brood dark thoughts and cling to the shadows. This was true even in the pridelands, in particular with a young lioness bearing the name Shin’ou (epicenter of the earthquake).
Shin’ou was one of those that for no unexplained reason was born with a dark disposition. That is not to say that she began life evil, no cub ever does. But her complete lack of fear and empathy without the proper guidance would lead soon lead her down the path of darkness.
These thoughts the lioness wisely kept to herself, brooding, biding her time. When two rouges invaded the pridelands to dispose of the royal family, the lioness saw and her chance and seized upon it, forsaking the other pridelanders to sit with the tyrannical leaders. Her dark ways attracted the attention of one of the two, Kaimetsu, who took her as his mate and companion.
The pair conceived and bore a single son, a dark cub with golden markings. The name Bushido, or way of the warrior, was chosen not as a sign of what he was or would become, but as a mockery to the honor with neither parent followed, a slap in the face to all those noble and kind.
But the dark reign was not to last, much to the relief of the pridelands, and when the young prince Mufasa returned to reclaim his land, the lioness slipped off into the darkness with her only cub, abandoning her made in her cowardice, never to return.
Little did Shin’ou know that she could not have given her son a more fitting name, for unlike his parents, Bushido was kind and gentle, a deep sense of honor instilled in him by what could have only been the gods. As the cub grew, this nature became more and more apparent by his constant outbursts against his mothers vicious behavior. Finally having enough of her son’s ‘rebellion’, she left the juvinille behind declaring that he was no child of hers and to never show his face to her again.
Fortunately for the cub he was as clever as he was honest, surviving on his own in the savannah, hunting and scavenging for his own prey. In fact it is possible that he thrived, freed from the darkness of his family he despises, he found a happiness he had never known.
Now the cub has grown to a fine adult, his kindness and honor only growing stronger with age. Now he seeks to return to the home of his birth and make amends for the dark deeds of his parents with his pride and honor.
