Perhaps he was being ‘sensitive’ or completely misjudging the air around General KingJet and the other agent (Aquamarine) but one seemed quite open and interested in the corrupts arrival and the other had felt cold and closed off. It was a very bipolar feeling that was rather uninviting if Helio was going to be honest about it, but he didn’t let it deter him. He had a job to do and that was to gather as much info as possible.
His inspection of the dagger was brief. The General with the General King seemed unwilling to part with the weapon but there was definitely something off about it. While Helio didn’t typically utilize weapons he still had minor experience with them. Enough to note that something was off, but what he couldn’t quite place a finger on right away. Perhaps the hilt was off? The guard?
He didn’t get a chance to really dive into it when the weapon was swept away by the General and an explosion happened just on the other side of the room.
Helio spun, eyes taking in not only his current team members, but also the location of Faustite. Why. Why can’t he ever not be in the location of s**t going down? Helio made to move towards the fray when commands by those of higher rank began to filter in. He tsk’d, rankled by the command to stand down, but did as told. He did not stay where he was though. While he didn’t engage, he did maneuver himself closer to his own General.
It was…interesting, honestly. The whole event. Jet was putting himself on the line to protect people, while single-handedly attempting to diffuse a situation that was…well, to be honest, not looking good. He caught some of what Faustite said too Jada and had to agree.
With the orders to move and prepare for the de escalation to possibly fail, Helio did as instructed, but made sure to position himself right at Faustite’s side whom he gave a quick side-eye to. “I know you’re tired.” He said quietly as he leaned in, intending it only for the General’s ears. “You can’t hide it from me.” He bumped his shoulder against Faustite’s own. “You just powered an entire building so be careful.” He gave his General a knowing look that was edged with concern. Without warning he swooped in for a quick, solid kiss before pulling away and turning most of his attention to the problem in the room.
All they had to do was wait and see if Jet could talk this man, well youma now, down. In truth, he had little faith in it happening. Instead he was poised and ready to go, fingers practically twitching, ready to summon his magic.
Kamacite bristled when the video appeared. He immediately didn’t like this man, who of course had to be General Chelonium. Something about the way he smiled, the casual way he sat in his chair, the way he accused General Galvorn of treason and yet… why wouldn’t the first thing he did was to report it? Didn’t that go against protocol? Unless things were different… whenever this all took place.
“Cymophane,” he answered the call, holding the pen up to respond to the other Senshi. “There’s a video he made that I’m watching now. He accused Galvorn of being a traitor, but… I don’t know. Something’s not right--”
When he heard the machines whirling above him, he felt his hair rise on end and he tried to roll out of the way of the magic being shot at him. By some miracle, he was faster than the magic being shot from the turrets. This time.
“I’m okay,” he said to both Roselite and to Cymophane through the communicator, although he was concerned by the explosion he heard around Cymophane’s area.
They were missing something. He knew it. Had anyone discovered what this factory was really for? And what about the youma still…?
Even with the chaos erupting around him, Kamacite tried focusing on what they could learn.
“Faustite…” Kamacite spoke into his communicator again, going over the information he’d pulled up before looking up the General who wanted Galvorn dead. He didn’t want to take up Faustite’s attention but…
“Forgemaster is a youma…? When you walked away earlier, it showed that he was missing, as well as a large number of other youma that had been here recently. Do you think they’re still here? Or… if they managed a way to get out, should we retreat?”
He knew Faustite wanted to set it up to take down Galvorn if necessary but...
"General Chelonium thought General Galvorn was a traitor... was he right?" he asked Faustite, his voice still quiet but looked over to where Faustite was working on the magic frozen in time.
After making sure the turrets weren’t going to shoot him again, he typed in “research results on weapons and rings”.

Super Taenite HP: 75 - 5 (ring) = 70 Rolls: 8 (dodged explosion), 8 + 1 (tech, or +2 for tech and recon?)
“Son of a--- ********>” Taenite cursed and practically dropped everything so he could rip the ring off his hand. “Piece of s**t,” he hissed, chucking it into his subspace before inspecting his finger to see if there was any damage he should be immediately worried about.
“Oh, shove off,” he growled as the ground grew bright, and he attempted to grab both Cymophane and Arsenopyrite to pull them backwards to safety. “Some of us have fire magic! If you cool your tits, we’ll give it all back. We’re keeping it from getting, I don’t know, blown up!”
Clearly this guy was unstable. If Taenite could focus his magic, he might be able to contain the b*****d long enough for everyone else to land a blow and dust him if necessary.
It wasn’t as though youma didn’t reform in the Rift after the fact. It wasn’t like they were committing murder, just neutralizing a threat.
“I think we’ve collected as much as we can from here. Want to check to see if your friend found anything useful?” he asked Cymophane and nodded over to where the floor had projected information. He wanted to try and search for some information about the diagrams as well.
Taenite skidded to a stop when he reached one of the panels, waited for it to populate, and then typed in “how to release magic from time stasis”just in case something useful came up. If Galvorn wasn't the traitor that Chelonium thought he was, which Taenite overheard Kamacite telling Cymophane, then he should have put information on how to combat these Knights that were attacking the factory, right?

General Faustite HP: 95/100 Magic uses: 0/2 (offensive); 0/3 (enhancement)
"Trying to," but I expect we have a fight," Faustite murmured back to the boy at his shoulder. Chancy boy, he thought, as he smiled into a stolen kiss. Even as tired as he was, his heat meant that any level of contact had to be brief. Clever that Heliodor pulled away before his lips started to burn.
His attention was called to his communicator when Kamacite radioed him. "Forgemaster was Galvorn's personal youma. Youma problem's been — solved," he answered bitterly. "Don't concern yourself with them.
"Nothing I've seen confirms Chelonium's suspicions. Doubt we'll find conclusive evidence either way. Galvorn had his chance to turn against the Negaverse and he chose against it; it's the evidence I'm siding with, given that he youmafied himself to survive their retaliation.
"But that doesn't explain how the knights have been getting in without leaving behind damage. Could've been that he was originally a traitor, then had a change of heart." That would make sense of everything, though they had discovered nothing that might lead to turning the General's loyalty back to the Negaverse.
Niter was startled out of his focus when a senshi in his periphery (Kamacite) was shot at by some sort of energy beam turrets from the ceiling. As he looked around, he realized that a fight had broken out, the General at the back of the room was now a youma, and random people were getting weapons thrown at them. Jet was trying to block hits, but a polearm wasn't exactly a shield from his experience in games. He winced when he saw Jet take a few glancing wounds.
As Niter looked around, more strangers took to the database on the floor. More hands were searching, which maybe meant they'd get more of the answers they needed. Everyone else seemed to be keeping their cool, while Niter's heart was about ready to race into 200 beats per minute.
He decided he didn't want to be anywhere near those turrets' line of fire, so Niter scrambled away from the database on the floor. As he looked around, he spotted some of those monochrome splotches around the room that had the captive magic that the flamey General was talking about, but Niter wasn't any more aware of how to release them than the next guy. It seemed like a lame order to give, if Faustite couldn't tell them how to release that magic. Not everybody was good at figuring things out for themselves.
And Niter was struggling with that, too, between the magic around them and the weapons coming at Jet. Maybe he could remove the magic from within the time stopping stuff with his own abilities? Or he could use his magic to take care of some of those weapons in the youma. Or, maybe, do something about the turrets?
"Um. Jet?" Niter called into his tablet. "I can use my magic on the stuff that's stopped in time, or I can try using my magic on you or some of those weapons he's got. Do you, um, have a preference?" Because Niter didn't.
"Hold on, okay? Just — keep breathing," Psilomelane encouraged as the other senshi left to attack the youma. She grabbed one of the packages out of the cabinet and skimmed over the back of it briefly. "I think I can cut the ends off of that spear with this. Then," she closed her eyes and forced herself to think it through. "We can wrap it so it won't bleed as much. We'll get you stable, then take you to a real infirmary as soon as we can all get out of here, okay?" She looked at Hylonome to make sure the girl was engaged and not passing out on her.
If she did, well — Psilomelane was already out of her depth here, and she'd be a lot more out of her depth if Hylonome went into shock. They couldn't afford to lose anyone down here, especially someone who knew their way around medicine.
Psilomelane tore open the package and took out the otoscope-esque device. She pressed the button on the back of it and jumped a little when a short red beam shot out of it, cutting clean through part of the glass face to the cabinet. "This will — this will definitely work," she stammered, astonished at the device.
"Hold on. Stay with me now. Squeeze my hand," she instructed as she offered her hand to Hylonome. Leaning over, Psilomelane started the device and cut the ends of the spear off with about a half-inch of room on either side — enough that she could be certain she wouldn't injure Hylonome any further. She tossed the device to the ground as soon as the pieces of spear clattered, and went digging single-handedly through the med kit lying next to Hylonome.
"I need to wrap it now," she assured as she slipped her hand free. That part was the easiest — she knew how to do that much. Psilomelane set to it, making quick work of overlapping bandages until the wound was well covered.
Eternal Fulgurite taking a cursory look over a frozen magic HP: 100/100 Action: (1 + 2 (recon) = 3)
Fulgurite was, to be honest, quite happy to take the directive from the general-king to stop attacking. He really had no interest in attacking! They managed to get out of the very tech heavy area without much significant fighting, and he was very interested in continuing that.
"Don't have any problems with that," he muttered to Ransomite, crossing his arms and staying stationed closer to the edges of the room. "Hey, maybe even the deescalation here will even work."
Honestly, he wasn't convinced, but he wasn't convinced of most things. Most of what happened when he was part of this organization eventually led to violence, so he expected violence, but he would take the breather for now.
Easy enough.
"Probably should at least look over this frozen magic though. Just in case."
Maybe there was a way to free it and not turn this into a massive fight fiasco if the former general, now youma, would not calm down.

inspecting frozen magic for a way to free it potentially if necessary (1 + 2 = 3)
For all the easy identification he had before, as Galvorn grew into a many armed, long necked youma spider of some sort, it all disappeared. It disappeared with a hint of frustration as he found himself the target of a burst of energy that knocked him back, along with Faustite and Jadarite. Was that Leifite too? She was one of the other captains...
He would have spent more time inspecting it, except he had the feeling this may have been time to move to the defensive. Not that he could do much with an ink dip pen. He definitely wished he had something else, but that was part of the reason why he wanted to get more power as soon as possible.
Of course, then the General-King that had been part of their prior investigations was asking that everybody stand down, and Faustite was redirecting them to checkout the frozen magic.
Easier than attempting to pen stab whatever Galvorn had turned into at least.
As directed, he moved towards where magic seem to be Frozen in Time and looked to see if there was some way he could unfreeze it. If he could, maybe that would be even more brownie points...
Makeup for exploding that damn crane.

“Even if we die here. This place will never be yours, Arnaud. You won't have us in death. I'll make sure of it.”
It was the Cosmos knight yet again. By now, Tama felt as if he knew her. But what did she mean that this place could not be his?
Whatever rabbit hole this story was bringing him down, the Mauvian was all in it now. The last bit had been shown. There were not more P symbols around. Yet, this couldn’t be the end of the story, could it? He greedily wanted more.
Still, there was something inside that told him ‘no’. Something inside his chest that whispered softly: You’re not ready yet.
He didn’t have time to heed the warning his heart provided. The Cosmos symbols were now active and burning those that held the rings. That is when he saw it — the remains and one other ring.
You are not prepared.
He’d touch it, even if it burned him, too, to find out the rest of his story.

Captain Seraphinite Looking for anything about GALE in the glowing blue info4 + 1 = 5 HP: 75 / 75
A Cosmos knight? Seeing NUISANCE beside the codename only made his eyes roll. So useful. Even just the tidbit about how she offered support during combat, rather than engaging herself, didn't exactly help--that still left a lot of unknowns on how and what that might have caused around this place.
His focus on the database though, couldn't hold up long when he saw the General's weapons heading towards a flash of teal and dark curls. Seraphinite felt his limbs go cold, heart plumetting as a split second of what ifs burst through his skull. "Jet--!" The shout broke through before he could shut down the irrational train wreck. Illian hadn't been the little brother he needed to shield, needed to look out for, in years. Jericho knew that. Even less, Jet surely didn't need Seraphinite keeping an eye on him.
Rigel and Spectrolite didn't fair as well with the enraged youma's assault, a fact that didn't escape the Captain. Bile rose in his throat, but he clamped down hard on the swarming thoughts that hissed and buzzed at the back of his brain. Trying to get to them after the fact wouldn't do anything. They were still standing.
His stomach twisted as he forced his eyes back to the database for the final term, GALE. He could hear Faustite's directions towards the frozen magic, and would head there after this--he just wanted to make sure there wasn't something he was missing, in case the General had assked about them for a specific reason.

Super Rigel Dodging the Spear & Withdrawing to and trying to touch frozen magic10 dodge3 + 2 recon = 5 HP: 75/75
So that answered nothing. "The hell do you think I'm accusing you of, you overgrown pin cushion?" The senshi couldn't help but snark back at the youmafied General. Man's mind seemed absolutely lost, and he was losing faith that he'd be brought into the present from... well. What clearly had been a very hostile past he'd effectively just been snapped from.
Of course, there was a part of Rigel who also then thought the fact the pin cushion in question was now... trying to spear him with one of said pointy objects.
Seeing a flash of metal, Rigel quickly began to backstep, having no interest in gaining a new hole anywhere. Of course, his Super speed was higher than the Lieutenant's, and it was too late that he realized that.
Rigel spat and hissed as he threw an arm around Spectrolite's shoulders to pull her the ******** back from the spears, not wanting to risk any further trouble with them. "If this had all started without hostilities, Jet probably would have had an easier time with this guy. I doubt he even can register that's a General King he's shouting at. Come on," he huffed to Spectrolite, tugging the Lieutenant's shoulder as he directed them both towards a point of frozen magic.
The fact she was injured didn't escape him, and he tore off bits of the long dark layers of his uniform, shoving the cloth to her. "I'm not a medic, afraid you're on your own for that."
In monochrome, he couldn't tell exactly what the magic was, but well--in theme with everything else he'd been doing on that mission, Rigel shoved a hand towards the point in question--curious to see if perhaps he could... unpause it by interfering with it.
Probably not. But he didn't know what else to do with it.
Well... she'd figured badgering him about his password was a really stupid idea. Only once the words were out of her mouth, of course.
But the fact a spear was thrown at her still made Spectrolite freeze in place, a horrible time for a deer in the headlights moment. Considering she didn't involve herself in combat much, though... it wasn't entirely surprising, in retrospect. Burning lanced up through her thigh, a sharp pain where the metal sliced into flesh. Someone had yanked her back when her own muscles wouldn't respond--it'd been all that'd kept her from getting probably fully impaled by the weapon.
The young woman was jarred and jostled, startled to glance over and see Rigel of all people had an arm around her to yank her backwards from the weaponry. "O-oh, thanks," she bumbled, blinking up at him with wide eyes as he grumbled about the situation. "...you probably shouldn't talk that way about higher ups..." It was, funnily enough, a good distraction from the blood dribbling down her leg. But they were already moving, and Spectrolite tried to keep her steps quick to not fall behind the Super Senshi pulling her along.
Her leg ached already, and she knew she was stumbling and limping. stopping at the point of paused time was a relief to take the weight off her right leg, crouching sligthly to try and put pressure on the injury. Rigel's rough production of cloth was met with a hasty "Thanks," before she snatched up the stuff and started to wrap it tightly around her thigh. Still hurt, and she didn't think she'd done super great at tying it as tight as it probably should be... but it wasn't gushing blood, so she didn't think the spear had like... sliced anything super major..?
Once that was settled, though still crouched, she turned her attention hesitantly to the monochrome spot in front of them. Sure, she'd seen some of the memory stuff--vision stuff, whatever--before, but the frozen magic? Nope. Spectrolite bent slightly, trying to peer about the magic to see if there might be a hint to how to... unstick it. Rigel just shoving his hand at it made her sputter complaints, though.
Bellalunea had somehow taken a wrong turn somewhere on the way to the meet up. How she did that she had no idea. but then again her brain wasn't always on point today, something had her in a slight daze. Maybe it was her little legs, or her thoughts were going a bit to wild. a bit was pushing it, since honestly her thoughts made it hard for her to even focus on anything. Which she knew was dangerous in a mission like this. So she shook her head and tried whatever she could to focus her thought son the task at hand. Since she knew she needed to catch up now and she needed most of all to have her head in the game. Or else who knew what could happen.
Finally she was there and somehow made it just in time to get in on the action. As soon as she got there everything had hit the fan. Battle was happening and she needed to take part.
Then she watched as everything was unfolding as she arrived. So she knew her best action was to look into the frozen magic. this was the place she could help the most for the moment being. At least she thought it was, and hopefully she could yield some results.

Aquamarine didn’t care that a Senshi had been impaled. He didn’t care that others were in harm’s way. He didn’t care much about Galvorn either, but Jet wanted to de-escalate, so Aquamarine wanted to de-escalate, at least initially. It was the tendency of others to jump in without much thought or consideration that displeased him most. For an organization that prided itself on its organization, the Negaverse rarely seemed to deserve the descriptor. A ranking system meant nothing when those ranks were full of the foolhardy and moronic.
He released Larimar with a resentful shove, briefly placated by Jet.
Then Galvorn attacked, and instead of allowing the others to reap what they’d sowed, Jet placed himself in harm’s way.
“Jet!”
Aquamarine’s rapier, previously sheathed at his hip, materialized in his hand. With the other hand, he kept a firm grip on the ornate dagger. He didn’t allow himself to react otherwise, in case doing so put Jet in further danger, but he stood ready, gaze steady on Galvorn, the rest of his allies forgotten.
“Self-sacrificing dumbass,” he swore at Jet. “If you want to de-escalate, don’t give me a reason to kill this ******** class="quote">

Eternal Cymophane Dodging the explosion; speaking to Faustite, then taking up a position near some time-stopped magic and speaking to everyone. HP: 100
“Oopsie!”
So trying to preserve the research hadn’t been the best idea. Well, no, Cymophane still thought it was worth a shot, what with weapons and magic already flying, they just hadn’t been as sneaky about it as he’d thought they were.
He barely heard Kamacite’s response. There was light beneath his feet; Taenite reached for him, but Cymophane was quicker, deftly avoiding the explosion.
“So much for that,” he said.
At least they’d managed to get some of the papers. Cymophane would have returned for more, but with Galvorn paying such close attention, he thought it best to wait for a more opportune moment. Instead, Cymophane followed Taenite to the floor panels, checking on Kamacite while he was at it. He didn’t miss the presence of the turrets and kept a wary eye on them.
His new position meant he was able to overhear the exchange between Kamacite and Faustite.
“Any chance Chelonium was trying to set him up?” he spoke to Faustite through the communicator. “Galvorn’s info on him makes it seem like he appeared from nowhere. There’s no ops or battles to Chelonium’s name, but he was a nosy b***h.”
The others seemed to have the search for more information well in hand, so after dropping a reassuring pat to Kamacite’s shoulder, Cymophane followed Faustite’s directive and went to the nearest bit of time-stopped magic. When Taenite had been caught by Saturn magic, the Saturn ring had helped to release him from it. Cymophane had to wonder if this magic would behave in much the same way.
To everyone, Cymophane broadcast over the communicator, “Saturn magic responded to a Saturn ring. Maybe the same is true for the rest of the magic? Whichever planet is corresponds to, I mean.”

Roselite found himself in control of a weapons system. The same system, it seemed, that shot a beam of magic at Kamacite. Roselite flinched again, but Kamacite dodged and Roselite could breathe a sigh of relief.
Not for long, though. Roselite had to decide what he was going to do with his newfound power.
“Oh no, oh no, oh no.”
Now he was speaking his rapidfire panic out loud.
Roselite wondered what Bloodstone would do in this situation, then decided that was a terrible way to make his choice, because Bloodstone wouldn’t hesitate to shoot. He could target Galvorn, maybe, just in case, but Galvorn might notice and feel threatened. Their continued attempts to de-escalate would surely fail at that point. But there was a chance the weapons might be needed, especially if the fighting grew more severe, in which case un-deploying the turrets might also be a bad idea.
With a nervous gulp, Roselite chose to disengage the turrets, hoping that by doing so they would no longer target anyone.
Lieutenant Sodalite - (lying low and thinking) 50 HP/50 HP Med Kits 3/3
Sodalite had watched all the displays that had been shown to all denizens in the room. He was trying to piece together the order in which everything had been shown. In truth it was probably the safest idea to do because in order to do so he'd found a niche in the room that afforded him some cover. As he made the effort to at least understand everything chaos was erupting. The General Galvorn had come out of whatever stasis magic had held him and had begun to randomly attack the members of the mission. Sodalite could hear the orders being issued and sighed.
Would it be a good thing to blow what little cover he had found for himself in order to track down any remaining magics in the room? He wasn't so sure.
But orders were orders. Vanishing the weapon he'd been clenching for the last little while did Sodalite slink out back into the open. He moved slowly, almost by increments as he tried to find a place that he'd be most effective. Where that was, he didn't know.

Basic Corrupt Hylonome - still in medical bay area, not going anywhere right now. 50/50 HP Med Kits: 3/3 Basic Spell Level 3/3
For someone who still had a spear in her leg Hylonome was hanging on with more stubbornness than anything else. The pain had only been dulled a little but her gaze was still mostly clear. The soda bottle she'd been holding onto was clenched tightly in her left hand as Psilomelane approached with a device that had been torn from a clean, unopened package. Personally the senshi wasn't one hundred percent sure that whatever Psilomelane had found would be able to solve the problem but she bit back the words when the device in question emitted a small powerful laser beam.
As quickly and carefully as Psilomelane worked there were small moments when the spear was jostled at each end as the length was shortened considerably. Seeing the device being tossed aside did Hylonome watch as bandages were secured around the remainder of the spear that still stuck out of her thigh. It was shorter, very much so, but part of it still remained.
Getting up was certainly not the correct move and yet orders had been given to spread out. But getting up like this, wounded, was not an option. Psilomelane was correct. She needed more help than what was available here. Grimacing she peered down at the other senshi's handiwork before squeezing the other's hand in the smallest but most important sign of awareness ... and gratitude.

It was good to find his team again, to be in the proximity Borax, Jada, and to spy like a flash in the pan quiet moments caught by Helio and his beloved Firebrand. To pretend they had the world to themselves for a moment. He thought that if he looked out he could catch glimpses of blues, or blacks. Even amidst the chaos? People seemed to be scraping by, "we'll hold on y'alls commands, Firebrand. Tho, if this thing doesn't find some chill? I'm hitting something. I don't like the weirdass magic in this place ********."
"Shut his a** down, Jet!"
Shouted cheerily from the sidelines, though from the looks of things? If Jet didn't do it Aqua seemed ready, with extra knives even! Good on him!

Cryolite understood, now, what all the fuss was. So far nothing had been too chaotic, but this? He swallowed a snarl and posted up, swerving by the bits of exploding chaos -- he caught sight of fire -- of cattyspots and a loud chirpily cheerful voice over the coms.
If only he'd grabbed a fancy ring~
"If we can't fix it? I'm all too happy to freeze it!!"
Taenite was right afterall, the bits of shouts he caught, whatever Galvorn wanted? He could have back in spades.
