Corrupt Super Valeria. She's been silently listening to those gathered, taking in what everyone had to say, she couldn't say she had any questions by the end of it. It seemed smiple enough, right? Though it was also very risky from the sound of it as well. That had her worried, as she was sure something would go wrong? Wasn't it always like that? Whenever something could go wrong - it did? It certainly seemed like it in this city.
That was why she was taking a personally packed bag with her. She was able to lay her hands on enouigh medical supplies that she should be able to handle nearly anything which might befall the group she was going to be joining on this mission. The only problem was if someone had personal medical needs, or problems, and no one knew. She would hope they'd have informed people a head of time and be taking whatever they might need. She did think of things like this, how could she not? But she didn't give voice to her thoughts as she ate in preperation for the groups departure, wanting to leave for the Rift on a fairly full stomach.
When things did come to an end she headed off, time for them to all get going. They had things to do - right? (Exit)

General TitaniteThe other had the right idea. "Do not eat so much you cannot move later," Shar said with a grin, "Or that you need to use the necessary more than necessary." She sat down her plates next to Eveite, moving over to snag two backpacks and bringing them back over to join the Lieutenant. Setting one next to the other woman, Titanite pulled hers open and rifled through it. "I will need to go out to get more things for this pack, but I can stay for a while." Pulling over the meat-plate, Titanite dug back in. SSBrosB I would say an exit for this thread, but perhaps fodder for an offshoot! biggrin

Corrupt Sailor Albite Senshi of RetributionAlbite eeped, completely undignified, felt the cat nuzzle him and could only nod as the messy, smeary, furry soft thing purred up and over his leg - and then danced off in its cute little outfit. Albite had caught snippets of all the important things - cut hair - head to the scar - go team eternal sunshine of the spotless mind for Kamacite. All good, important, pertinent things. Albite up and hauled off over to the tables, snagged his pack, snagged another plate loaded with whatever had not been touched by the cat, and only briefly made eye contact with Faustite as he slipped outta the place like his dreads had caught fire. If the boss needed him aforehand, he'd be in the office, go through things in peace and quiet and safety of stone walls behind wooden doors. Play with his orbies one last time, they needed to be fed, ponder over whether the cat had given him magical powers via nuzzle... N' then? Off to the rift.

Corrupt Sailor MiyamotoHe really didn’t know why he was coming on this mission to be honest, youma did not like corrupt senshi - like himself. He knew this and yet he was here at a meeting about going into the rift after a youma, and a big one from the sounds of it, he was pretty damn sure he hadn’t smacked his head on something which made him decide this was a good idea. He also was pretty sure he wasn’t an idiot with a death wish, though it might seem like he was just that. No, he was sure that he was doing this so he could gain experience as well as prove that he hadn’t been some mistake - that he was worth it. Even if Wolframite wasn’t here and didn’t see him it was enough, it would always be enough.
Though secretly he did hope Wolframite might just turn up...or that world would get back to him that his corrupted senshi had done this, had helped out in the rift with hunting down a youma. He wasn’t the sort to brag, he’d leave that to others with an ego to feed, but that didn’t mean he didn’t want to prove that he’d not been some mistake or that he wouldn’t pull his own weight. There was a difference, at least he was certain there was.
As he sat in a corner he kept silent, not wanting to deal with the General from the last meeting again. He didn’t like them, that much was for certain, but he wasn’t going to voice that. He wasn’t going to give a reason for there to be drama, he didn’t need that s**t in his life, and he was certain the General would cause an issue for him if he said anything.
Making to get up and head for the food he went about grabbing some things to nibble on as he listened to everyone talking, to information being relaid to them all. How nice to know that no one could teleport...would be useful if they could - damn it.
While nibbling on a bagel, and wondering if he could store a bunch of food for himself, he heard the General mention something about backpacks. Good. Moving to grab his as quickly as he could he made for the food table in order to find things he could stuff into his bag, there was no telling what was in the backpack and he wasn’t about to go through it and dump things out in order to see how much food was in there. He was assuming there had to be some food in the bags as he doubted those running this thing wanted to starve their officers to death, at least he certainly hoped not, as it would be more than a little counter productive.
Finishing the last of his bagel, and with some more food added to his bag, he went about leaving the meeting room so he could finish preparing himself for this little mission. Oh what fun this was going to be...he got to be bait for a giant youma.
(Exit. Damn I thought I'd already posted for him in this thread. Oh well, got it now.)

Captain Wolframite(A link to bio will be done when not at work on a phone) The came but had a awful time with the noise, bombardment of smells, and a lot of reverb off the castle walls. Spending the better part of a few months in small groups and solo scouting outside of Destiny had not done him any favors, and he took a while to adjust. It was enough to hear the officers and their synopsis of the mission, as most were quiet aside from their general couching and sounds of eating.
After much was explained, he spotted Miyamoto with a pack already ready to leave. The Captain crossed his path just to be seen. "Good you could make it. I look forward to seeing you in the field. I'll be busy in the Crag. Please keep safe out there. The youma will be more sensitive to you thanks other members of your team."
He beamed, proud to see them already ready for such a undertaking.
His eyes scanned for Laven and also wished to get some good food in his stomach before the tables were picked clean. Warm meat down here was rare.

Half-Youma Lieutenant Janggunite and Youma Maikoh
He was here because he was ordered to be here, but Janggunite could not possibly be more indifferent to this mission or its results. He stood well out of the way, distancing himself from the other agents and senshi, due to a particular unwillingness to play zoo attraction to a bunch of over-excitable and eager lieutenants and basics who had never come into contact with something of his kind before. It was hard to blame their curiosity, but he was hardly in the mood.
Slitted rose irises surveyed the room nonchalantly, and all Janggunite could think was that so many here looked like children, and enough of them seemed determined and willing that maybe the assignment would even end in success, despite that.
The only thing that made him pause, that roused even his own dormant curiosity, were the small sampling of other monster agents in the gathering.
Janggunite had met only scattered few other half-youma. He and his brother, of course, and General Faustite, who stood at the head of the meeting. But beyond that, every agent he encountered was "normal," able to resume their lives once their Negaverse work was done, able to leave behind whatever trials they encountered here and tend to their normal jobs and families. Janggunite had already dismissed all of them as options of interest. They wouldn't understand him anymore than he could understand a common mutt.
But he couldn't help the way his gaze lingered on the pearly blue scales and protruding horns of a young woman across the room. A captain. Perhaps a little shy of the group, but she didn't look offended by her position among the ranks. Not like Janggunite was. The tip of his petaled tail twitched in curiosity.
Maikoh had joined him. It was becoming so frequent now that he was beginning to wonder if it was of her own volition or if she'd been commanded to do so.
"See something you like?" The wolf-woman prodded, craning her head over his as she tried to peer about for what he may have spotted.
When her golden eyes landed on the woman, an intrigued and rolling rumble of a sound slid from her throat. "A girl? Like us."
'Us.' Janggunite yanked himself out from under Maikoh's scrutinization and moved toward the captain. To him, there was no 'us,' certainly not between he and Maikoh, but it was difficult to completely ignore the intrigue of another half-youma, even in his state of depression. He didn't know entirely what she was. Something at least semi-aquatic, like himself.
As a civilian, he'd been different from now in a lot of ways: charming, personable, and eloquent enough. Perhaps a little dramatic. He didn't know what kind of man he was like this, but none of those things, surely. He didn't even know how to begin approaching another half-youma, or even what he wanted from her once he did.
...So maybe it was best not to approach. Reason would argue that if he didn't know what he was doing, maybe there was no reason to do it.
Curiosity wasn't excuse enough to harass someone. He'd literally just been thinking about how he didn't want anyone approaching him, asking invasive questions. His temperament for sure was well beyond what it had been as a human. So probably best to just... not. Probably best to keep his eyes open and stay close to Maikoh. She would probably judge him for the abrupt back off, but...
He cleared his throat, stalled here he stood, and glanced back toward the front, despite how everything seemed to be mostly concluded by this point. Perhaps he should just... do whatever he needed to do to be ready to leave.

General AquamarineAquamarine said nothing to the crowd because he had nothing to say. Faustite and Jet handled it well enough on their own, and it was Faustite’s mission anyway; Aquamarine merely agreed so he could keep Jet from dying in there. (Kamacite, as always, continued to be useless, or so Aquamarine was convinced, though that had less to do with what few abilities he’d witnessed in the corrupt senshi and everything to do with Aquamarine’s dislike of him).
As agents and senshi (and cats) alike began leaving, Aquamarine leaned close to Jet again, mumbling, “Don’t be too kind to them. If you let them get away with disobedience, they’ll make you look like a fool.”
And potentially put them all in danger, but Aquamarine thought that went without saying.
He sighed heavily and watched the steady stream of people trickling out. “I guess no one has questions.”
Aquamarine couldn’t decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing.Guine Potential last post unless someone does end up with questions.

Corrupt Sailor Taenite“Ah, if it’s as delicious as it smells, I’m sure it’s quite enjoyable. I should grab one for myself before we venture out into danger!” he grinned, which widened soon after.
“Sir, you’re being too modest. Surely everyone would benefit from your experience and knowledge. It’s good to see that you’re on this mission. It looks like we’re going to need as much help as we can get,” he laughed. If the motivational speeches had anything to say about what they were to expect, well… Taenite wasn’t necessarily worried, but he didn’t envy many of the others who were venturing into the Rift, some for the first time. He had the necessary skills to handle something like the Rift. The others? Well, he didn’t think Cymophane’s friend, Kamacite, was going to have a fun time.
“Oh, I’m here for the experience and knowledge I’ll be gaining, of course! There is so much we don’t know about youma-- Well, maybe some of us don’t know much about youma. But I’m still pretty new. I look forward to seeing what this mission has to offer. And scoring brownie points with General King Axinite wouldn’t be so bad, huh?” he added with another bright grin.
The informational meeting had been surprisingly short and sweet. He expected it to go on and on, but it seemed like everyone there was interested in the food, or interested in stabbing things in the Rift, or interested in taking naps, or interested in yelling at everyone else.
“See? At least they prepared backpacks for the rest of us. You were smart and brought your own stuff. I like that. Very wise,” he nodded appreciatively as he took a glance at what Benitoite had with him. “Looks like I should probably get a bag and check my own supplies. Maybe sneak a couple beef wellingtons out,” he said with a wink to the General.

General FaustiteFor once, Faustite concurred with Aquamarine. No one had questions, or the food proved such a distraction that no one was seriously considering the mission at hand, or (farfetched as it was) they explained everything so succinctly that no one needed further information.
Faustite wasn't worried about his own safety in the Rift, but he had reason to be concerned about certain others. He cast a final glance toward the groups, furrowed his brow, then started in the direction of his office. Seemed there was one final meeting to hold before they ventured through the Hall of Shadows.
"Meet you at the Hall tonight," he bid to Jet, Aquamarine, and Kamacite, then left for his office.

Captain LavendulanLaven had been eating by herself, listening to the conversations around her in case someone thought to ask a question about their mission ahead, when she received a message on her tablet from General Lopezite. Quote: ‘Proud of you for signing up. I look forward to seeing what you bring to your team. If we wind up apart, take care of yourself. I’ll keep an eye out for you. I have the utmost faith in you, Lav.’ She felt a swell of pride at the compliment. There were only three people whose opinions mattered to her and he was definitely one of them. Since her promotion she had tried to be more active in her role as a Captian, Doing as both he and Wolframite had done by keeping an eye out for Lieutenants as they had both done for her. So far things had been a bit rocky on that front, most did not care for her appearance and either joked about it or shied away. Honestly, she'd prefer the latter of the two but she was developing thick enough skin to not care much about insults or mockery. Water under the bridge at least that was the phrase she lived by prior to everything going to hell in a hand basket. But like the Knight, Hawara, had said, it doesn't do any good to entertain thoughts of what could have been. That effort is better put towards what you can do with the situation you've been given. Wise words from someone she was supposed to have. Laven smirked. However, before she could reply to Lopezite she looked up and scanned the crowd of faces once more. She had thought that Wolframite had decided to come but it seemed he was either running late or got preoccupied chatting with other officers. No matter. She'd just grab an extra plate of food and stow it away in her subspace pocked and save it for later for him. Laven had already caught sight of other officers with a similar idea anyway. Waste not want not. she thought to herself. Before she could collect a few extra plates, icy-blue eyes settled on those of pale pink and she paused in response for a moment, blinked a few times then smiled and waved at both the Lieutenant and youma beside him. Clearly she had been spending too much time in her office or at home to not have known that the Negaverse actually had several other half-youma among their ranks. At least two were Generals, but this one... this one was new. Quote: Kyuseisha no Hikari - She messaged him in the part 2. Corrupt Super Sailor MeridianaFor what it was worth, Meridiana should have backed out when the opportunity was given. She did not feel like her normal self and that honestly bothered her greatly. Unashamed of her sphere, she never really had any difficulty finding her way into a conversation or searching for someone to flirt with for a few minutes. There was one corrupt she recognized, Valeria, however... it had been quite a bit of time since the two of them last spoke and she wasn't exactly sure where the two of them stood. In truth, that vein of thought never used to bother her before. However since her promotion she had began having similar thoughts that the Senshi of Brains used to have. Now was not the time to have such conversations so she busied herself with preparing a small plate of food to eat now and another for later in case this venture into the rift lasted longer than expected. As the other officers began leaving the briefing, Meridiana followed suit; standing some place near-ish the back but still in front of other officers so she wasn't the first one to be picked off when they set out on this mission. Youma hated senshi, corrupts included, and she wasn't inclined to give one an opportunity to make her into an easy snack because she fell behind. Exit

[Corrupt Sailor Mirzam]
There was time to prepare. Mirzam was glad for that, and glad that there were obviously going to be plenty of high-ranking officers. Yes, a dive into the Rift was dangerous, and she was pretty sure it would be a bad idea for her to bring out her magic at all during this little adventure, but at least no one would be alone. They would also be well protected, just in case things went sideways, and that was even considering that they were Corrupt Senshi and thus extra tasty to youma.
It sounded like she and Cleeia would be assigned to different teams; that would just have to be the way it was. She clapped her brother on the shoulder, looking amused.
"Well, don't get into too much trouble," she said, playfully. "I won't be there to pull your a** out of whatever fire it gets into." She finished off the last of her plate, and stood up, nodding for Cleeia to follow. They could pick up backpacks, and make the rest of their preparations before the teams were officially expected to leave. -------------- [Corrupt Sailor Cleeia]
The very prospect of this mission made Cleeia feel more than a little grim. The whole concept of going Rift-diving was....unappealing in the most extreme way possible; he was absolutely not looking forward to any of it. Still, he sat and ate his food, and listened to the briefing.
When the teams were divided, and he found that he and Mirzam wouldn't be on the same one, his stomach sank into his shoes. No, no, o, this was terrible--he didn't want to be alone, separated from his sister! Rigel wasn't here, either, so he would be on his own--or, well, not entirely, but devoid of people he knew and trusted. Which sounded like a special, awful circle of hell. Cleeia didn't want to be separated.
But Mirzam was taking it in stride, so he was going to havew ot as well, since she wasn't exactly likely to stand up and protest. I fact, with the way his sister was acting, he suspected that if he asked to be reassigned to her team--because he was on Combat! In danger!!!--she would ask that he not be, just because she thought he needed to toughen up. Disgusting. He didn't want to be tough, he wanted to be safe.
But maybe this would be good. If he made it through the Rift, he would have plenty of experience he could take elsewhere.
"I'll be careful," he promised. "Come on, let's get those backpacks. And maybe you can help me cut my hair." Because no, he absolutely did not want to be tripping over this long mess down there. No matter how cool it looked.
[Mirzam and Cleeia EXIT]-------------- [Corrupt Sailor Lilith]
Lilith liked to think of herself as fairly brave, or at least not cowardly. The good news was, just by showing up and not deciding to turn and run, she was pretty sure she was bearing that out. She had no intentions of running away or anything stupid like that; she was here to serve the Negaverse.
She gave her hair a brief tug. The Corrupt Eternal's suggestion to cut it was noted, but Lilith was actually pretty sure she'd make her ow life harder doing that; the thick braid her magical transformation put her hair in was pretty out of her way, and cutting it any shorter, she figured, risked undoing the braid and making a mess. So she'd leave it, unless whatever General she was under insisted. Which, honestly, she figured was unlikely; it wasn't like this was school and she could get dress-coded or whatever other nonsense.
The entire mission sounded fascinating, and Lilith was eager to go. It was too bad there were a few hours yet until they left; she would have to find a way to kill time in the interim. Once the briefing was over, though, she finished her plate, and then got up to scoop up a backpack. There was information inside; that would be a worthy way to get informed and make sure she didn't get bored while waiting to leave. Especially since she didn't know much about the Rift.
She'd have to find somewhere comfortable to tuck in and read.
[LILITH EXIT]-------------- [Corrupt Sailor Lionel]
Lionel snorted. "Ah, yeah, the cats are everywhere. Helpful, though; they're the only way we Corrupt Senshi get powered up." He rolled his shoulders, eyeing the leaders of their mission. None of them were Generals he knew or had worked with; that was fine. He could get to know new members of Negaverse leadership, which was, in his opinion, always a solid option. The better acquainted he was with the people above him, the more likely it was that he would be noticed for promotions and all that jazz.
For now, though, he was far more concerned with getting throguh this mission. It was a good thing there was information provided; the sum total of his knowledge of the Rift could be shortened to "don't ******** go there," and obviously, that wasn't an option at this stage. So, better to get educated and know exactly what they were getting into.
"Looks like we'll be on different teams," he observed, with mild disappointment. "Ah well. Come on," he said, and he stood up, "let's grab those backpacks and go through them. I'll bet there's some interesting stuff, and it'd be better to know what supplies we have." He'd prefer not to go in blind on any aspect, especially when there were so, so many ways for this kind of mission to go sideways. And sideways, in somewhere as dangerous as the Rift was purported to be, could in fact be very, very bad. genovianprince exit together on your post?

Arsenolite nodded, looking a little more interested in the cat know that he knew slightly more about why, exactly, they were there. Sounded like doing magical... magic nonsense bullcrap that made the corurpted Senshi more powerful. Which was good, don't get him wrong, but man, he just did not like the general vibe Senshi gave off, corrupted or not. Lionel was, so far, pretty much his only exception. The whole "received powers from space to go protect a whole completely dead planet" thing was just, like, what?! Alien powers from an alien planet just made no sense. They were all human, weren't they? Why did they care so much about some other planet that just had a bunch of hundreds of year old dead corpses on it? ...At least the corrupt Senshi had their heads on straight, rejecting all that crap and working to save Earth and Earth alone. Made 'em smart, in Arsenolite's book. Maybe he'd judge the ones on his side a little less, then. "Aw, man," he groaned as he realized he wouldn't be assigned with his friend. That sucked. He'd wanted to be with someone he knew, so he didn't have to deal with the whole "getting to know you" crap. Ugh. "Yeah, yeah, supplies, blah blah blah." He sighed deeply. "Just... Gonna miss you, I guess," he said gruffly, trying to ignore the fact that he was being even slightly emotional about anything as he grabbed a pack and headed to the exit. "But... yeah. Situation sucks. Stay safe out there, alright? I'll see you when we come out safely."

[Corrupt Sailor Ilse]
Ilse listened with interest to the description of their mission. This should be, she supposed, something approaching interesting; she would learn a lot, at least, and there were plenty of powerful people to cling to and ask questions of. She could get a lot of information, and learn plenty, and make herself into a better member of the Negaverse!
Excellent. This was a wonderful plan, and if she was careful, she could stay out of too much danger.
The thought of cutting her hair, though, made her frown, deeply, and she twirled a length of it around a finger. Sure, she could take it down to her tied-up civilian length, but she was fond of the long, curtain-like drape of it. It was just really, really nice, and Ilse was loathe to give it up.
But it was the smart thing to do, and so, in the time between getting her backpack and leaving into the Rift, she resolved to trim her hair down. It was just smart.
The backpack, it sounded like, would have all the other essentials she could ask for, and so she stood up and went to go pick one up. She wondered if she should pack anything else--but, well, she could paw through the contents, figure out what there was, and if she needed to get more....eh, she'd figure something out. Grab a ride back to her apartment form some General or Captain, maybe.
Ah well, she'd figure it out. For the moment, Ilse wanted to get her backpack and go.
[Ilse EXIT]-------------- [Corrupt Super Xenia]
Xenia was practically vibrating with eagerness. Or maybe it was a bit of sugar rush, because the entire time the briefing was going on, she was applying food to her face, and all of it was on the high sugar content side. Either way, the floofy little Senshi was eager and ready to go, and she hated that there was apparently more!! Waiting!! After this informational meeting!
Ugh, oh well, at least there was lots to take in, and lots to learn. And she did want to be prepared; charging in like an idiot would just screw things up, and that might cause problems for Wave and Bell, and that was the last thing she wanted. No, she was going to be patient and thoughtful and actually do things the smart way. For now, at least.
She bounced up, finishing off her plate and practically skipping over to the backpacks--though not quite, because that was way, way too childish--in order to scoop one up. This was going to be an adventure, and like any good adventure, it was a little dangerous--or, Xenia guessed, a lot dangerous--and so it would be smart to be as prepared as possible. She could read up on and absorb all the mission information, and be as prepped as possible to kick so much youma a**. Heck yeah.
[Xenia EXIT]-------------- [Lieutenant Nagyágite]
Nagya took in the information with a thoughtful hum. There was so little he could even think to say; no reason for him to draw attention to himself just yet. No more than came from him simply being there and having scales, at least. Though with his hood tucked away, he suspected he was at least a bit more incognito than he might be otherwise.
Which was a joke, of course. There was no way to be incognito when you were part-human, part-snake.
He finished his food, taking in his assignment, and considered. This was going to be a very interesting trip, and he looked forward ot seieng what Kamacite showed him. Nagya knew that some officers were idiots about corrupted Senshi, but he didn't exactly have room to be one; his girlfriend was a corrupt, and as far as he was concerned, they deserved just as much respect as anyone else. So he looked forward to seeing what, exactly, this new Eternal could show him.
It was a smart move, after all, to learn from your superiors. Anyone at third rank had likely been doing this for longer than him, and knew what they were doing; his trust wasn't blind, but he was certainly willing to listen and learn from those more experienced than him.
He moved to pick up his backpack, still thoughtful.
Whatever happened, this would be a worthwhile experience, for certain.
[Nagyágite EXIT]-------------- [Captain Marialite]
Marialite was on the edge of her seat, listening and taking it all in. Yes, yes, yes, they were taking a mission for a general-Sovereign--not hers, not Hessonite, but that was alright--and going spelunking to see everything the Rift had to offer. Ah, her eagerness was overwhelming; she wanted to be going now, now, NOW. But that was, of course, not happening, because the mission was being run by people wiser and less impulsive than her.
Ugh, she knew it was smart to move slowly, but waiting was going to kill her. Even the few hours between now and their descent. She just wanted to be down there already, getting into it with youma and trackingt heir target and...all of it!
But, for the moment, when they were dismissed, she reluctantly stood up and went to get some food. It was the best possible idea to eat something, and everything on display looked absolutely delicious. So fine, she'd eat something, and then grab her backpack, and get ready to go. And read the Rift information packet, she guessed, because that was important and it would be dumb to go in blind, but she wasn't exactly excited about doing what, in her mind, amounted to homework. She did plenty of that for her classes, anyway. But this was more important than any class--so she took her food, and her bag, and got ready to go.

Basic Cervantite
Cervantite all but saw his own life flash before his eyes as Calaverite reached a hand toward the cat and smeared his open palm against him. The only thing he could rationally see happening was Gremlin taking an entire chunk out of Cala’s hand with his teeth. Cala would scream and probably pick the cat up and throw him, and then everyone would for sure be looking at them, then- and not in a good way.
He braced himself for the claws in his skin and the scream and the stares, body going tight, holding his breath, and-
It didn’t happen. Cala flounced to grab another plate, free of damage. Alright, well, the cat would surely have an unkind comment and spit to share. Cervantite notched his head down to try and get the best glance he could at Gremlin, waiting, expectant for something to happen. The Mauvian was equally as stiff, head lurched back like a turtle in the folds of his wrinkles and maw slightly parted to expose yellowed fangs. Confused? Mortified.
“Hey,” Cervantite said quietly. “He’s alright, y’know?” Not that Cervantite knew Cala that well, and they were barley friends who just happened to be on the same team, and Cala had definitely accosted him before-
Maybe showing off his cat hadn’t been that great of an idea.
“I mean, I don’t think he’d hurt you, even if he looks like a manic skeleton.” Maybe a little of a lie, if Cervantite thought about it. Cala did get kinda… aggressive toward literally anyone in his vicinity when there was a lot going on. And there was probably about to be a lot going on while they were in the Rift.

Mauvian Gremlin
He should’ve been safe in the confines of Cervantite’s hood. Safe from eyes. Safe from hands. Safe from other senshi rats approaching him. But it should’ve come as no surprise that the fire brat wanted to showcase him like some possession. One hiss should’ve been enough to deter anyone with a shred of intelligence, so when a hand brazenly smeared down his face, Gremlin was subdued with shock.
The other senshi was quickly gone before Gremlin could exact retribution, and since he was doing as asked and retrieving him a plate of warm and steamy food, maybe said retribution could wait until he’d had his fill.
“Why’d you bring me here,” he grumbled. “Just to let your manic skeleton have a kick?”
Cervantite tried to tuck his head down into his collar, as well, voice low, “I mean, he’s one of Rak’s too, so I just thought you should meet him? He likes cats, and is one of, uh- your senshi, so…”
“Hardly!” He made an agreement with Lashenite to hang around this team when the offerings were good and it was convenient for him. None of these people were his. None of these senshi were his responsibility. They just happened to be in near proximity. Calaverite returned, food late in hand, and Gremlin didn’t think any other pleasantries were necessary. He wanted snacks, and if a hand got too close to him again, he’d be ready to shred some skin. He craned off of Cervantite’s shoulder to put his maw in some sort of smoky meat.
