She frowned at the grotesque-looking soup, then looked around the general area. When she spotted a smaller lowblood with a stalk of celry in his hand, she quickly snatched it away from him. Knowing his place, the yellowblood troll did not protest and Gourdi took pleasure in the liquid that formed at the corners of his lookstubs. Without a word, she turned from him; tossing the celry into the great pot and then sauntering away.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 55 seconds Tickets won: 18 Gourdi grimaced. She had really hoped to avoid this event entirely. She didn't enjoy the idea of getting muddy, nor did she enjoy the idea of wrestling some stupid snoutbeast in front of everytroll. And yet, there she was; carefully entering the pit of slop with a frown tugging her countenance downward. Across from her, the farmbeast snorted jovially. It was completely covered in grime. So much so, that Gourdi could barely even make out its shape. She glared at it, hands curling into tight fists by her side. She'd traded in her usually frilly dress for a pair of shorts and a plain black collared shirt. Her hair was weaved into a thick braid that thumped against her backside with each step. For too long, the purpleblood had watched in envy as various trolls milling about the festivities with a large stuffed snoutbeast in their arms while her own remained empty. Try as she might to avoid the damned thing, something within her needed that stuffed farmbeast. From somewhere within the crowd, a horn blared and the announcer began yelling for her to begin. Gourdi shrieked as she ran at the dumb beast full-tilt. Her arms wrapped around its hind but it slipped out easily and Gourdi was left to fall face-first into a particularly disgusting pile of mud. She spat the foul-smelling soil from her mouth and let out another enraged shriek. "YOU'RE GOING TO ******** PAY FOR THAT YOU CORPULENT LOITER-SACK!"Quote: +15 seconds, progress to next table

Gourdi launched herself at the beast once more, barely managing to wrap her fingers around one of its legs. She grinned in triumph, but the farmbeast was strong enough to pull away. Gourdi screamed in frustration. Quote: +15 seconds, progress to next table

The purpleblood squared off with the snoutbeast, her brows furrowed and her arms extended outwards to either side of her; fingers wriggling in anticipation. Her opponent squealed, then charged her; knocking her back into the mud. Quote: +20 seconds, progress to next table

She picked herself up and jumped onto the beast's back, wrapping her thin arms around its neck as it kicked and bucked. Her legs wound themselves around its great belly and she threw her weight with all her might to the side. The snoutbeast toppled over, a fat mass of wriggling limbs and desperate squeals. Gourdi had won. The purpleblood popped up, thrusting her fists into the air as the crowd roared in pleasure. She left the pit, marching straight towards the yellowblood in charge. She glared up at him, mud-covered fists finding themselves a place on her narrow hips. "My prize. Now." She demanded in a characteristically superior tone. The yellowblood raised his brow at her, but retrieved the stuffed farmbeast anyhow. He handed it to her, then retrieved her tickets and handed them to her as well. Gourdi snatched her things quite viciously, then turned on her heel and marched away. She was eager to get back to her hive and wash the grime from her grey-colored skin. No needles or buttons today for the young jadeblood. Amonee was starting to feel very tired as he pawed through the haystack this time. He had made several laps around the entire festival and it was starting to catch up with him. He could've sworn he almost saw something glinting deep inside all the hay but when he tugged around in the area nothing came out.
"See you next time, sir." He would be back at least one more time to give the game a last go but most importantly, Amonee wanted to bring the kind troll a bowl of stew to thank him for running an event for kids like him to enjoy. The jadeblood figured he wouldn't have time to go get some himself since he was manning the booth!Quote: I'm digging in the haystack ... I found: nothing Tickets won: 1

Carefully selected ingredients went into Amonee's next mooncake and he firmly pressed out the dough. He misjudged his strength unfortunately and the shape became lopsided but with a nice leaf for decoration, maybe no one would notice. Tucking his tray into the oven, the jadeblood daydreamed about making a perfect mooncake to give to someone special but the sound of the oven opening again snapped him out of it.
"Wait, what are you doing?" He gasped in shock as another troll, a much taller and older troll, removed his tray to make room for her own. She sneered and rolled her eyes at his protests and he shrunk a little. Fighting was intimidating and he backed away to indicate his loss so she wouldn't do anything worse. Unicroak wouldn't have let her hurt the jadeblood but even scary words were enough to alarm Amonee and set him hiding. He disappeared into the crowd.Quote: I'm burning mooncakes! I mean baking. Amonee watched the steam rise from the bubbling boiling pot with a fond smile. This would be a wonderful memory in the future, watching strangers and friends mingle in such a cozy festival. He hoped to come back again another time to enjoy this when he was older. Carrying a handful of carrots, he approached the pot through the line and dropped them into the cauldron.
'Wait, did I wash those?' It was too late. Some of the dirt dispersed into the stew like an oil spill and he hung his head in sheepish embarrassment. It was time to go before anyone else realized what he had done!Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. Quality increase: +2 Barter crop: N/A Tickets won: 1

Etsali could tell she wasn't the only one on a mission here, but that just meant she had to search even harder. That needle was going to be hers if it was the last thing she did.

This time she just went with whatever seemed right, glancing around at others when she faltered and being careful with ingredients. When she pulled the cakes out of the oven, she was amazed to find that they looked...absolutely perfect! Just like the ones being sold!
Lighting up, she rushed to show the farmer and then took a portion for herself, barely taking the time to get them boxed up before running off into the crowds. She'd been waiting for a batch good enough to share! Now she just had to find where Ephias had gone, and see if Keeper was still wandering about and- Ah, there was her orange!
"Ephias! Here, try one of these!"Green Minuet You don't have to reply since you're swamped, hehe. Just have to share the best cakes ever maaade

Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone.Quality increase: +4 Barter crop: totato Tickets won: 2 Asking the farmer for advice had turned out to be a pretty good idea the last time, so Etsali decided to give it another go this time. The first couple she approached were sort of busy though, with moon cakes catching fire or trolls arguing ticket prices. She was getting pretty used to the one in charge of the haystack though, so she paused there to ask before moving on with a quick thank you. So, this was the best totato then! Maybe eventually she'd get better at telling.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray!Total time: 15 seconds Tickets won: At last, the resistance to play this game finally faded, and good ol' Poepoe was ready to take on the beast. He adjusted the glasses, and took his sheep crook so he could keep up his sorta blind here act. Although he was fairly blind, so it wasn't much of an act? Anyway, the "brownblood" took chase after the snoutbeast, using the crook to keep himself from tripping and ruining his disguise. "C'mere snoutbeast, eh!" he called.

For a while, he was getting pretty close, feeling the satisfying thump of the makeshift crane on the snoutbeast. Maybe he'd wrangle it quickly! With Maneki watching, Poe knew he had to do well so he could impress his friend. The beast was fast though, and always just out of his reach. "Sorry pal, but I got to wrangle you if I'm to win!"[/b] he said to the snoutbeast while he chased.
