Something within her pumpbiscuit told her that tonight was the night she'd get that needle. The purpleblood pushed her hand past the outer-layer of hay, leaning her body up against the large pile and grimacing as she felt around for her desired prized. Her fingers curled around a dark blue button after a few minutes of wriggling, and she frowns at the thing; not at all pleased with its color and not at all pleased with the fact that it wasn't the damned needle. With a pout on her face, she turned in the small object to the tealblood farmer monitoring the hay. She regarded him with a sneer as it was exchanged for her tickets, then she trotted off in the direction of the mooncake booth; intent on earning more.

It's only when she's about to flip over the table containing freshly made cakes that HoofDaddy stepped in; placing his gargatuan musclebeast body in front of her and her insidious goal. Gourdi shoved him but he, of course, wouldn't budge. All eight of his legs were planted firmly on the ground, and he regarded his charge with a disapproving frown. Gourdi shrieked again, then spun on her heel; marching onward to the community pot.

The boiling liquid reflected in her glaring lookstubs as she peeked over the cauldron's edge to view what cooked within. It still, without a doubt, looked quite disgusting. Gourdi stuck her tongue out at it, then turned to survey the crowd milling about the Jubilee.

"Here!" Nucleo didn't even look at the haystack this time. Handing the farmer a nice ripe apple, the green blood boy smiled. He'd really enjoyed the festival, even if he didn't get to always win the games or properly cook food. It was just nice to hang out for a little while and try to make some new friends. He grinned as the troll ruffled his hair and told the boy the get a hair cut.

"A little more... there!" Nucleo was not a fantastic baker but neither was he a horrible one either. He was susceptible to sweets like any young troll, however, and went a bit overboard with his current batch of mooncakes. Oozing with flavor, he shaped the cakes carefully before pressing the design down onto the cake. It bulged oddly at the sides now and looked weird. Oops. Well maybe if he pressed the cake back into shape... ?
Somehow it made the thing worse and Nucleo felt the pressure start to build up. Allowing the farmer to put it in the oven, he watched anxiously to see the end result. Was it time to take them out now? Or now? Sweating, he impatiently tapped his foot. He couldn't take the waiting! Not wanting the farmer to see them when she took them out, Nucleo grabbed the hot pads and pulled the tray out himself. As they came out, he was disappointed to see his eagerness had gotten the best of him. These cakes were downright awful. Like, so bad you didn't want anyone to even see them awful. The trash was right next to the farmer and she'd notice if he tried to bring them over- What should he do?
To hide a tree place it in a forest, right? In this case it was more of a blackberry bush but details details! Shoving his cakes under a neat display of perfect and pristine mooncakes, Nucleo thought he'd found the answer to his predicament. He never expected this was actually the beginning of a new one.

"Oh that smells grande!" It was getting close, he could tell! But he didn't want to drop by without adding anything! Unwrapping a small package he'd purchased from one of the other farmers, Nucleo chopped the item up and slid it into the pot. Mahmud just... couldn't accept that he should stop being so greedy, and just accept that maybe he should take what he could for tickets instead of double or nothing. He couldn't! It had to be that she rigged it! What else COULD it be?

At least there were multiple witnesses if they'd try to tear into him... "... you want some mooncakes?"Finally the older woman let out a deep sigh of relief. This was just perfect, Chiara had missed out on tens of tickets thanks to this mess up. Well, non the less the blueblood showed her button and received her tickets, but she did it all with a frown.

She was absolutely determined to be the one to find it, and refused to give up until she had. Unfortunately, no matter how far she dug, all that turned up was this one little button. It was a nice shade of yellow, sort of similar to Vos' color, so she pocketed it with an approving hum before moving on.
