 xAsher quirked a smile before nodding his head. "Although between you and me, it wasn't exactly my idea to be here," he admitted with a sigh. He stared around at the other tables, taking note of the laughter and flirting. It's not that he didn't like the idea of a romance, but would he really have time for this? Meloneon's comment about the skyfish made Asher let out an undignified snort of laughter. "That is really odd." The Baphomet allowed himself to shake with laughter before speaking again. "Looks like you're Mr. Popular. Hopefully you don't end up with a whole herd by the end of the night."

Departing from Gale was hard. Too hard. Buster had lingered and watched his form go. Would they really chat again? He hoped so. No matter, it was time for his next "date". With a slight pep in his step, the bumbling shade made his way towards the next table. While he was passing by the food; Pancake decided to scoop up a few candies....wrapper and all. Buster winced. That was not going to be fun in a few hours. The shade tail was insistent on staying at the piles of sweets. For such a big tail, he was quite difficult to move. Eventually, Buster was able to lug the head away from the treats and drag him towards the next person. "Hello!" He smiled, strained, as the tail tried to take another chance of dragging them both away. "My name's buster, what's yours?"

With a mouth full of candy she heard a voice ask what their name was, turning in her seat she saw a massive Shade and it seemed to be wrestling with it's tail. It seemed to want all the sweets on the table near where she was sitting and without thinking about it picked up a piece of her candy and waved it at the tail. "I have candy, want some"? with that she chuckled. Looking up at the Shade who had introduced himself as Buster, she smiled even more and introduced herself. "I'm Eirlys, seems your tail wants sweets!" and she watched in amazement as his tail seemed to confirm her statement with its movements. Points: 5 + 2 + 9 + 9 + 13 + 15 + 9 + 12 + 1 Gale could feel himself getting hungry, but decided to ignore it for now. There would be food after all of this, right? And speed dating didn't really allow for one to get to know the other better while eating, so he could only hope that there was some left by the end of all of this. Or at least that he would be able to find a table for himself and get a bite to eat. With all of his energy draining with all of these interactions, he would need the energy boost from food. And at this point he wouldn't care what was available, he would eat it. He smirked at the chimera. "Your daughter eh? That must have been a surprise when you heard you were signed up for speed dating." He couldn't help but chuckle a little. Random Nobody 13 Going to be talking to himself for a bit XP

The huge lug of a tail swiveled it's head around, it's whiskers and nose twitching at the smell of candy. Buster could have sworn that the flitter rat like tail was drooling. Ew. Without further thought by the beast, and unexpected by Buster; he lunged towards the table. The shade stumbled on his much too large feet, nearly falling over. "H-Hey buddy. Calm down, dude." He sighed, exasperated as the shade tail gobbled up the candy in one bite from the other nightmare's hand. "Sorry about that. He's a bottomless pit," the hybrid laughed weakly, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment. Why did Pancake always have to make such a big deal about food? Why couldn't he control himself? "Yeah, he sure does love good grub." He chuckled again. "Sorry about that, he's hard to...control." The tail was outright embarrassing. One of the few aspects of life that he was shameful about. Pancake had his own mind, he couldn't control him. It lead to such disasters.

He swallowed the sweets before speaking again. "I signed up because I don't like being alone for this holiday in particular." It probably wasn't a great thing to admit, but there it was anyway.
He snorted at Asher's Mr. Popular comment. He had no idea how popular Meloneon had been in school. Now he seemed too busy for all that. Which sucked. "I think two is more than enough for me. For pets, anyway," he said with a smirk. "Hopefully these two are more self-sufficient than they look."Meloneon's trinkets and such~

Eirlys watched as the tail gobbled up the candy she offered and the whiskers tickled her palm which caused her to giggle. The large Shade seemed to be embarassed about their tail but Eirlys thought the tail was adorable. "I think your tail is adorable, it seems to have a mind of it's own and knows what it wants. I bet it can be alot of fun having one, do you mind me asking about your tail? If not can you tell me if it has a name?" Her bag still had some candy but she resisted the urge to get another piece for her new friend's tail may want more and she did not ask if they could have any. Did not want to be rude. Vüsala quirked a brow at the skyfish. At least his was behaving. He must have gotten lucky. Carefully leaning back in his chair, he thought a moment before nodding. "My daughter signed me up for this 'speed dating' game, but the conversations have been nice so far." It was odd. He hadn't signed up for this himself, but it was nice to have a chance to talk with various nightmares. He might as well give his attention to Gale "I'm pretty busy normally, so I don't have many chances to sit and talk with adults. I'm a volunteer firefighter and I'm seeking a degree in medicine. xAsher sighed at the memory of how he ended up here. "My work friend felt it was his duty to make sure I 'went out and mingled' this year. When he heard about this event he signed me up and then forced me to come." Asher hummed and nodded at Meloneon's admission. "I can get how this holiday can really rouse the feeling of loneliness. Hopefully you will have fun here." Asher offered a sincere smile to his table mate. Again he was nodding in agreement with Meloneon. "My personal limit is one," Asher said. "Sadly I know nothing about torti or skyfish to know if your hopes will be met or not."Strawberri Stardust If ever my lack of a response almost denies you a day's roll, feel free to post and say Asher was distracted by his phone.

"Well, he does have a mind of his own." he chuckled to himself as the shade tail chose to nuzzle against Eirlys' palm....only to stick out it's large tongue and slather it in slobber. Ew. Why did Pancake have to be so nasty with new people? "Oh man." Buster paled, one of his claws picking up a napkin on the table and patting the demon's hands. "I'm so sorry about that, usually he's not this..bad." he winced. It wasn't like it was unusual either. He wouldn't call him adorable, but...at least this nightmare wasn't excusing themselves to the bathroom or snack bar to shorten their time together. Although, he would understand. Buster scratched his chin in though. "He doesn't talk and loves food. Does anything for it. Makes a great pillow though!" he smirked weakly. It wasn't like he hated Pancake. Oh shoot, I forgot!" he smacked his head, a loud sound coming from it. "His name is pancake but he'll pay attention if you say any...food." A torti seemed to take interest in their conversation and popped down onto the ground, nibbling at Buster's feet. Buster couldn't even feel it, didn't even realize he had made a new instant friend. After all, he certainly wasn't going to do it. "I practice magic though usually I do it by myself. Enchanting is more my style than other types of magic though." This one didn't seem like they would want to know about his enchanting weapons. At least he knew when to shut up about some things. "So you know, magic carpets and stuff like that. Though I don't usually use my magic to enchant such things. Usually I just study a lot. And that means I'm mostly alone, so when this festival came up, I decided to take a look at what was going on, meet some others, you know." He said, moving a hand flippantly.

"Yeah I wasn't expecting to have any, really, but here they are. Thanks for your hopes. I think," he said. He was really trying not to be awkward and that was usually easy for him. Weird. Laughing so hard she was almost in tears, the tail slobbered all over her hand. It's tongue was a little rough but it tickled so much she could not contain her laughter. "I can't help it your tail is absolutely adorable, I wanna play with it. Oops that sounded wrong didn't it?" she looked down as Buster was gently wiping her palm off with a napkin. Looking up the tail which she know knew had a name and it was "Pancake" seemed to be looking at her with a knowing look. She did have some more candy left and maybe Pancake wanted some more. "Pillow? I bet he is comfy, he is so fluffy! Can Pancake have some more candy? I don't want to eat that much of it and have a sudden sugar rush and run all over the hall like a freshling out on their first adventure, knowing my luck I would knock over the table that has the punch on it and get it all over my next "date". she couldn't help it she laughed again. Buster seemed really nice, and she felt comfortable with him. Besides Pancake was the cutest tail she ever seen. Sure, science can explain a lot of it, which is why we've advanced so much with crystal technology, but I feel like there's more to it that we aren't focusing on like we should. For example, what if what we do here, in the physical world, effects the magical one? If we put in another building on top of a mountain, does that disrupt the magical energies that are going on around it? Or does the magic only change slightly, but mostly stay the same? And..." Gale was starting to go on a tangent.

Usually Buster would laugh along and agree. But instead his head tilted to the side, his ears flickering before a gentle, unsure smile stretched across his mouth. "Uhhh...A lot of freshlings like playing with Pancake." he chuckled, thinking about his three rascal's that were back at his mother's place. "Pancake just doesn't want to be played with. If he's not eating, he's sleeping." He didn't make for a good playmate. Unless they wanted to use him as a pillow. "I...think he's had enough candy." he grinned, patting the tail's soft fur. "He's had quite a bit and that goes to my own stomach," which was starting to cramp from the overabundance of candy that the mouth had already grabbed onto. "Maybe some other time." A skyfish seemed to take interest in their conversation and floated on over, hovering above Buster's shoulder. He paid no mind to it.
