"You seem like you would like a crowd." He knew that bodybuilders probably did it for themselves, but Gale always believed that it was a way to show off too. He had magic, Buster had body-building. And it definitely showed. Not something Gale wanted to get into though. He waved his hand around again, thinking of the words. "It's more like an... electrical current? There usually has to be a beginning and an end. But in no way am I a god." He said, chuckling a bit. He liked the compliment but he certainly wouldn't declare himself to be equal or even close to any of the Nine.

"Just like science, there's just a lot we can't explain about the world. You can't see air unless it's condensed can you? Unfortunately we're not able to learn everything that there is, but we can at least try. There has to be something out there you know. And we make new discoveries every day, both in the sciences and in magical studies." He always kept an eye out on any magical journals that had articles published in it.

Still though, he never felt like he had learned enough, which meant that he was constantly studying. He looked over at the phone that had been slid over to him, surprised that Buster would trust him so much. Not that he wanted the phone anyway. Gale quickly exchanged their information, and picked up the phone, handing it back over to Buster. "Well, you may not here much from me. I'm usually buried deep in my studies, but I'll communicate when I can. Just no promises."

As she was debating what to name the cute little familiar her "date" was kind enough to gift her she let her eyes wander about the room. Not really looking for anything but the table that sweets and such were laid out caught her eye.

Her mouth began to water a bit at the sight of those candy bags, she knew she shouldn't because all that sugar made her hyper but she was nervous and needed a distraction.

She excused herself so that Nox would not think she was running off and moved over to the table and chose a bag. Opening it carefully she pulled out a small piece and bit into it happily. It was so sweet and tasted heavenly!

Like a crowd? He didn't just like it, he loved it. Being able to show others a good time, being able to show off his own skills that he had been working so hard on...it really was a treat. Buster loved it as much as he loved getting to know other people. "I do!" he beamed, the corners of his cheeks crinkling as he gave Gale a merry grin. It was surprising that Gale didn't, he was a master of magic, after all!

"Ohhh, an electrical current." The confusion was evident on his face as he pondered over it, sinking it into his mind. What even made an electrical current? He would ask but...he didn't want to waste Gale's time. Maybe he could ask him about it later. When they weren't doing a speed dating thing.

"I...you're right." He tilted his head, staring off into the distance. Honestly, he didn't even know what condensed air looked like. Another question for another time. Wide brown eyes blinked a few times as his mind still tried to stray and wrap around the idea behind it all.

Research people were so smart. He could barely remember what water boiled and froze at! And he was a cook! How did other people pack all that information in such a small area. Their brains must be huge.

A frown overcame his face. He couldn't help but feel sad. He liked talking to Gale and listening to his magical and science talk. He really did have a fun time. "No worries, dude! I'll still bug ya!" he put on a smile, albeit strained. Buster felt a bit bad about bugging him. But that was just the cards that he was dealt! It wasn't like Gale was telling him that he never wanted to talk again..right?

"We can only hope life settles down for us," Asher replied with a chuckle. "Still, familiars make good companions that make the times when you are home feel less empty." Asher assumed, anyways, that like himself Cassandra had no one waiting at home for her. That was, after all, what most of them had signed up for this speeding date for. Although Asher didn't feel he had time for a date, his friend seemed to think otherwise.

"I work over at Rising Publishing." Asher beamed with pride at his work. "I work mostly as Ms. Jenn's secretary but I tend to be given some odd jobs here and there too."

"What about you, what are you going to university for?" Asher hadn't actually gone to higher education but that didn't make him bitter about the topic. Everyone's lives took different paths. Asher wasn't ashamed of his.

Hearing the bell Eirlys turned to say goodbye to Nox but unfortunately did not see him anywhere. Shrugging her shoulders she figured he went on to the next table. She was not upset at all, he seemed nice as a friend although she did like his tail.

Looking around she saw her name at a table a few steps from where she was standing. Walking over she saw her "date" was not there yet so she sat down and got comfortable. She was slowly eating her candy and looking about to see how the others who are attending this event are doing.

Vüsala must have gotten to the new table first, since his partner wasn't there. With a shrug he sat down to wait, glancing over the rest of the people who were looking around for their date. He gave a small wave to someone who looked like they were heading this way.

There was a small pile of bagged candies on this table too and without thinking he scooped one closer to himself. The skull candies weren't exactly Hunter's Jubilee themed, but they did have a nice taste. Raspberry and some other flavor that he couldn't quite put his finger on.

Mouth full, he gave a slightly more empathetic wave to the stranger who was now most certainly heading his way. He quickly swallowed his mouthful before speaking.

"I'm Vüsala, nice to meet you. The hybrid intently watching our date from over there is my daughter, don't be alarmed." Best to just get that information out there and on the table.

Gale could only wave back at Buster and pancake, and had tried to remove the skyfish from his person, but it refused to budge. And so with a sigh he apparently he to keep it with him for the remainder of the speed dating until he found some way to get rid of it.

It took a little bit for him to find the table, since the skyfish kept swinging it's tail in his face, but eventually he found the next one, and there was a chimera waiting for him at the table. When he started over the chimera gave him a wave and he nodded to them, before making it completely over and slipping into the chair opposite of the other. "Sorry about that. I've had to deal with-" The tail dropped in front of his face again and he once again had to remove it from his sight. "-a few unexpected things." He finished, wondering if he might possibly be able to pawn the skyfish off to the chimera. "I'm Gale. Has it been an interesting night so far for you?"

"You're here now and that's what counts, right?" he offered the other Nightmare a crooked smile. At least that was the cutesy crap people liked to hear, wasn't it? When Asher mentioned the torti that had started following him, Meloneon snorted.

"I guess you could say that, yeah," he said and chuckled. "Nice to meet you, Asher. I'm doing alright, how about you?" He looked back to check on the torti and discovered a skyfish laying among the crystals on the torti's back. "Um. Is it just me or is that strange?" he wondered, tilting his head to one side. "Like they're getting more out of this than we are." He snorted at that thought, then sighed. Apparently he had two familiars now. s**t, did that mean he had to name them and everything?
