What Just Happened? takes place after thisIllyria had always thought that she wouldn't be the type to get her fur ruffled after a bad day at the office. However the events of the last hour or so had severely put a dent in her rational thinking skills about how effective she was when it came to trying to provide guidance to a newly awakened child senshi. It wasn't that she had not performed her duties as a Guardian cat to the utmost of ease. Rather it was the scenario in which she had found herself having to try and provide a rescue to a girl that been set upon by those strange insects. Illyria might have let the cat out of the bag (haha, good one) by chancing talking in front of the child even before certain events had come to pass but the reaction of being called a dream cat maybe was a saving grace. All she had been trying to do was to get the kid out of potential danger. But nothing had gone to plan after that.
For starters the girl had the audacity to question the very fabric of reality by hypothesizing that she was merely dreaming and that things couldn't hurt her. Well soon that theory went out the door. Illyria had been ready to at least attempt to shoo the girl away again when she had sensed something of great importance. The girl, who didn't seem like she'd leave, was giving off a most peculiar feeling. Tapping into her instincts as a Mauvian Illyria was quick to fire a beam of light towards their common enemy before taking to task what needed to be done. She needed help and the child would be that help. The summoning of a pen and revealing of the senshi's name had come from literally thin air but the words had been correct. A new chibi senshi had appeared ... and with a little more prodding had cast her basic magic on the enemy before going at it with a stone, or had it been a stick?
The thing that irked Illyria the most happened right afterwards. Instead of being able to gently coax Mabella into what her role was in the situation that had arose ... she was left blankly staring at an empty space where the girl had stood. Illyria's only reaction was to blink constantly before meowing forlornly. How could a Guardian cat do it's job properly when the one that needed to know the information took off without even a proper introduction?
Would Orah be able to give her any pointers on the situation if she asked? Would Orah think less of her abilities as a Mauvian if she admitted to this grievous error? How was she ever going to track this wayward child down if she didn't even know the most basic of information? Sniffing disdainfully at the carcass of the insect, which she had come back to make sure it was truly dead, did Illyria activate her civilian glamour before kicking petulantly at what was left of the insect, "this is all your fault you know, I could have been able to instruct Mabella properly if you hadn't crashed the party."
But was it really the enemy's fault or was she just to naive to have thought that a teenager would stick around long enough to receive the necessary instructions that would have probably saved her life in the future. If she ever saw Mabella again ... then she'd be having strict words with the girl. In the meantime it was time to go confide in the one person she could trust to tell her things would be okay.
